Heh heh.... probing...

Erm, hey! I have an idea for a new game, and I want to see if anyone would play in it. The game takes place in the near future where an MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role playing Games) has been released with a revolutional feature; a Neural Interface. The players' experiences the game as if it was completely real, allowing them to play the game at the speed of thought. Believable NPCs and local histories pull the players into epic battles, burning romances and clashes of politics and religion.

But there are rumors about of players going missing in the real world while playing the game. Health reports say that the game is addictive, and a few people have fallen into comas without warning. The developers have never been heard from, and the game was created in a backwater country, only adding to the mystery... What is going on?

The idea is inspired by .hack, World of Warcraft, and The Matrix trilogy. The game features personalised, individual story lines that focus on each player, as well as an overarching storyline that the players can get into, if they are interested.  It would be different from most games in that most characters never encounter another PC unless they wish it. This way, the GM is free to place the player's favored genre, theme, and sexual content without offending any other players. One player will be able to have an exciting action-adventure chronicle, while the other may experience gritty horror, all without disrupting the flow of the game.

The Overarching plot deals with the nature of Reality, and humanities place within it. The players actions will effect the world at large, advancing the main plot and the adventures of other players.

The system would be Semi-freeform, with a basic system in place to represent advancement, class, and race. There would be no dice-rolling.

So, anyone interested?
