The Zodiac Signs (Non-Con/Dub-Con/Romance)

So, this particular idea of mine requires quite some writing space from me. I have always loved the Zodiac Signs. I love the traits associated with certain signs, the lore, and all the other interesting tid-bits. Long story short, I have come up with an idea involving the Zodiac Signs. This is simply an outline and there is room for collaboration.  I hope you find the ideas below of interest.


For eons the female Zodiac gods have been kept separate from their male counterparts. It is simply the nature of the universe. The female zodiac rule and guide over their half of the humans, the men doing the same. Since the beginning of time this structure has kept balance and peace, keeping the earth afloat and the planets aligned; however, a restlessness has come over the male gods. After decades of watching the humans evolve, quelling wars, and keeping peace they want to change this delicate structure. They want more. More power, more rule, and more than that to have wives. Boredom being their greatest weakness. Intent on this new mission the female gods are unsuspecting of this plot and are wholly surprised when they are ambushed, captured, and taken prisoner to be the wives of their male counterparts.

I wanted this to throw the world off balance. I wanted the male gods to set up feudal states, portions of the world that they rule; therefore, there would be 12 feudal states. I don't picture this world/earth to be a replica of our earth now. I picture a bigger earth, set-back in time, with different continents and peoples. I was toying with the idea that maybe this transgression against the universe causes the gods to lose their immortality. They may live longer than mere mortals and still possess all their godly abilities. To keep their lineage going they can now have children, continuing the cycle of gods.

The feudal states sign would be determined by the male god as I am envisioning they will be the ones with the power, the final say, similar to a king.  So the Cancer state would be ruled by the male cancer god even if his wife was a Libra. His sign would dictate the state. In this way, if a Cancer and a Libra god were to have a child it would be either of these signs. In that case more than one sign is compatible with each other, so it would be up to the male gods, which sign they choose to pursue.

There are 12 countries/continents, each designated by a zodiac sign. The Scorpio Continent, The Cancer Continent, etc. The Continent is dictated by the sign of the king that rules there; however, all types of signs are are allowed to live in various continents. The culture of each country can be vastly different from the next depending on the king and the rules, values, and ethics he deems acceptable.
