My First Year At Beacon Academy - [RWBY Game, Interest Check]

Students with the aspiration to become Huntsmen, whose duty is to keep the peace within the world, strive to attend Beacon. Huntsmen and Huntresses are warriors dedicated to slay the creatures of Grimm. These creatures of Grimm, as they are called, are beings of pure evil and destruction. They are made of pure malice and lack a soul and are often drawn to feelings of negativity and hate. The Grimm are said to have appeared soon after the dawn of mankind. They have targeted early Humans for as long as can be remembered, seeking to destroy them and all of their creations. At first, it seemed as though they would succeed, as Humans did not have the strength to fight them. However, Humans discovered the power of Dust; and with it, the Grimm were driven back. Huntsmen and women dedicate their lives to fighting these creatures and protecting their world, Remnant, as a whole. Beacon Academy is a legendary school, one of the finest combat academies in the kingdom of Vale, perhaps the world. Long have you aspired to walk it's hallowed halls and that chance has finally arrived. You and other aspiring young men and women will attend Beacon Academy. Some of you will pass, some of you will fail, but all of you will give every fiber of your being to become a Huntsman.








Introduction: Welcome! This is a RWBY-based game. Don't know what that is? RWBY (pronounced 'ruby') is an anime/CGI series by Monty Oum and Rooster Teeth. The story is as above; in the world of Remnant and the kingdom of Vale exists Beacon Academy, a school that trains Huntsmen. These Huntsmen uphold peace in the world and hunt down 'Creatures of Grimm', dark beings of malice and evil that seek to exterminate humans. These students are aided by their own skills, weapons that often transform between melee and a firearm, and 'Dust', a magical energy source. Additionally, students also have an 'Aura' and a 'Semblance'. An Aura is a manifestation of one's souls and, with enough practice, anyone with a soul can use it to enhance their defense, offense, or healing capabilities. Aura is different from person to person and the ability of that person. A Semblance is a more physical manifestation of this Aura. It also varies from individual to individual and usually has something to do in relation to the user's personality. For example, the hot-headded might find themselves able to channel fire, or use their rage to enhance their strength to extreme levels. Those that use Semblance are able to manipulate certain physical phenomena according to the nature of their power. Some individuals are able to use their Semblance to create glyphs that generate some desired effect. Others are able to move at incredible speeds, while still others can manipulate magnetic forces. Hopefully that wasn't too overwhelming. Basically; you have a lot of ways to personalize and customize your character! You, along with the others, will be new students at Beacon Academy and be subjected to all the classes, tests, missions, friendships and rivalries that aspiring Huntsmen and women must undergo. Expect socialization, character development, classes, missions, and maybe a little romance. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Name: Lark Enciel
Age: 17

Personality: She might very well have some form of ADHD. Lark wants to do something, anything, all. The. Time. She hates being cooped up indoors and prefers to be able to roam on her own. This will certainly clash with her desire to be a Huntress and kick serious ass. Even when she's standing still she's tapping her foot. She is a huge fan of competition and always gives everything one hundred percent. She hates to lose. Lark also knows that she's pretty damn talented and has let that go to her head a bit; she is convinced of her own greatness and that she will become the best Huntress that Remnant has ever known. Knocking her down a peg every so often might be good for her. While, as stated above, she appears self-centered, it is only over minor things. When it comes to things that matter and are of utmost importance, she is one of the most selfless friends you could ever have. Loyalty to one's friends is a matter of grave importance, perhaps even pride, for Lark. Pushing around one of her friends will bring down her wrath like nothing else.

Background: Lark was born and raised in the kingdom of Atlas, where she was the daughter of a mid-level robotics engineer named Roy Enciel and a communications specialist named Beverly Enciel. Both parents, like many in Atlas, were fascinated with technology. Lark's parents, more than most, were almost obsessed with the possibility of removing humans from the battlefield and from the fight against the Grimm. They dreamed of a world where automatons could wage man's wars for him and no human ever need be harmed again. That dream, sadly, is still quite far off. As is their dream of having Lark follow in their footsteps. She was never any good at studying, much less leaning complex robotics or engineering. Lark could barely make toast without setting the entire house ablaze. "Are you sure she's your daughter?" was something strangers often said to Roy and Beverly. Lark's interests always leaned to the more physical side of things. She was always running, playing sports, or getting into fights at school and was once even suspended for hoisting a known bully up on a flagpole by his underpants. This feat made her a hero, briefly, until the boy's underpants ripped and he fell, breaking his leg. Then it was slightly less heroic. Lark's parents pressured her for years to study in their field, but would often enter their daughter's room to find her miming punches from some old kung fu movie or dancing to some new music video.

Eventually, they gave up and Lark started to realize she was going to disappoint the two most important people in her life. So, after some pleading, she convinced them to let her apply to Beacon academy. Agreeing, Lark's parents tutored her on engineering and this time she actually paid attention. When it came time to craft her own weapon at Signal Academy, Lark managed to do so - without injuring herself or others. A minor miracle. Once that rough patch was out of the way, Lark actually passed the rest of the warrior training with flying colors and was off to Beacon. Her journey has just begun.

Combat Style: Lark fights with a self-taught style of martial arts that is like Lark herself; overly flashy and showy, with the overblown exterior hiding something surprising. She fights with fists and feet, using her hands and arms to deflect attacks and her legs to administer powerful counter blows. She mixes these martial arts moves with break dancing. There is quite literally no other practitioner of this insanity in the entirety of Remnant. Lark basically develops it as she goes along and sometimes just makes things up on the spot. She has yet to come up with a name for it. For it's showy nature, though, it can often catch opponents off-guard as they try to figure out how to react to blows that arrive with little to no tell. These skills combine wonderfully with her weapon; a pair of boots enhanced with Atlas tech that allow the heels to fire powerful shotgun blasts. These 'Cloud Kickers', as she calls them, can punch holes in almost any Grimm at close range and are even powerful enough to propel Lark herself into the air.

Semblance: Lark can manipulate her own weight. While this does not affect her physically (ie; it won't make her fat or rail thin), it will affect how easy she is to move. She can make herself almost lighter than air and allow herself to achieve running speed almost unmatched, or do the opposite, making herself heavy enough to nearly sink into the ground. Using this creatively, Lark can add extra force to her blows by making herself heavier, or dodge attacks and move quickly by making herself lighter.

OH I would be most interested in this as well, loved the series and waiting for season three. I have a good idea for a character as well but having trouble in how to determine his ability's. The idea is he would train his body to be very fast and high agility while his weapon (a katana) when it strikes would hit as if a thousand ton hammer or something in that way. In other words the weapon would make up for his lack of straight by giving the powerful blows while using his speed to deliver them faster. Or his weapon use dust much like how Weiss does, I doubt I could do both in that way however with what I just put down could anyone give me some ideas of how I can work this out?

I'd stay away from a katana, as I've already got a profile PM'd to me that uses that weapon. And speed as well, since that's a subset of Lark's power. If you need ideas for a semblance, you could do what I did and go to Superpower Wiki and click 'random page' until something interesting comes up.

Well, time to hit Netflix/whatever site has RWBY so I can watch a few episodes and figure out what I'm doing, cause I want in on this. But since I'm at work right now and watching TV at work is slightly frowned upon (video games? Fine. Netflix? Fuck you), do Auras and Semblances have common ways of manifesting? Basically how do people figure out "oh, you have superpowers!"

Everything with a soul can use Aura. It's a commonly known thing and only requires combat training to utilize. While all Auras function basically the same (ie; granting defense, strength, or healing), the color they manifest as and how they manifest varies from person to person. Some people have trouble manifesting it, some are naturals. Aura strength varies from individual to individual. If you want to think about it in video game terms, pretend you're Master Chief and the Aura is your shields, taking hits for you before you really start to get hurt. The more you use it, the more it degrades until you have a period to recover.

A Semblance is like a more personal, powerful version of that. So to speak. It is a more physical manifestation of your character's soul. A Semblance is truly individual. The character Yang, for example, has a Semblance that makes her stronger every time she takes a hit. It also manifests itself in the form of a fiery aura around her and turns her irises red when in use.

Name: Celeste Baya (Light Blue Berry.)

Personality: A bit of a slacker through and through, Celeste is just as likely to be found taking a nap on the battlefield as actually fighting. Celeste is also not one to miss a meal or snack, going out of her way to slaughter all enemies in her path if there is food involved. She loves the water, but hates the cold, as is usual with her Faunus heritage. She also hates bugs and most kinds of strenuous work, though she'll certainly do it given enough motivation.

Background: Hailing from Mistral, Celeste is a blue 'dragon' reptile Faunus, a species that is slightly rare, though not unheard of. She grew up around other Faunus children, segregated from the human population of Mistral, at least while she was a child. This lead to a distrust of humans, though not an outright hatred like some Faunus.  Slowly this segregation stopped, however, and she attended Haven Academy at a young age. before being moved to Beacon at age 17 due to her family moving to Vale. While in Vale she met members of the White Fang in person after only hearing about them in the dark corners of Mistral, and soundly denounced them as nothing more than terrorist group, though she did sympathize with their members given her childhood.

With her transference to Beacon, Celeste hopes to become a top-notch huntress precisely so that she can be as lazy as she desires. Being a huntress means freedom, and while she'd certainly like to step up and take the reigns of a noble 'dragon' who presides over other Faunus and stands as a paragon of her race....in reality she just wants to end all conflicts and make the world a safe place to take a nap in, though a goal of safety for the world just so that she can be lazy afterwards isn't really that bad of a goal, or so she thinks.

Combat Style: Celeste uses a Mechanical Katana with a sheath that is able to supercharge the blade with Dust, as well as make it sharper. The Katana blade is a high frequency blade, vibrating to the point of being able to cut through most things. The Sheath and Katana can also Transform, combining into a spear or transforming together into a heavy longbow that has to be braced against the ground. All of her weapons are also Water-proof.

She is also excellent at combat in the water, given her Faunus heritage, and can even breath underwater, easily able to move and flit about thanks to her tail.

Overall Celeste is a strong combatant, when she chooses to fight.

Semblance:
Celeste's Semblance is called "Domain". With a snap of her fingers she can expand a sphere outward to 30 feet by 30 Feet that becomes an impassable barrier. Attacks can neither enter nor leave her domain, and concentration is not required to maintain her barrier, though her Aura is slowly consumed.

The real use for her Semblance, however, is when she concentrates and expends even more Aura. By using up 1/4th of her Aura, Celeste can create a special sphere within which she has control over everything that happens within. She can redirect attacks, raise and lower the ground, shift and control gravity within the area of effect, and even shift herself and others around the area via Teleportation. This use of her Semblance is on a 5 minute time limit, however, and using it too much will lead to her exhausting all of her Aura and becoming extremely fatigued.  If she were to actually practice with her semblance, she may be able to push the time limit further, but Celeste hasn't been inclined to try.

Alright here is an idea then, the weapons I be using is a dual set of large desert eagles that together change into an rifle for long range. The guns use dust to enhanced the bullets depending of what color and have different effects. Red is a little more like getting hit with a shotgun, blue is that each shot when hit would turn the body into ice, such as if shot the leg it would coat that part of the leg into ice, say shot like two or three times the leg would be in a layer of ice. For the other two colors I have yet to decide and need some ideas for it. However when changed into the rifle mode the effect of the dust bullets are enhance to greater effects. So like for the ice one, one shot could cover the whole body other then the head in a layer of ice.

For a Semblance I have no name for it as of yet but I was thinking it be a very strong illusions to the point they seem very much real. think of it as if I were to make a illusion wall of fire. You would believe you feel the heat from it and everything that make it seem real to you, however if you were to touch it or go though it you would feel fine. Something like that if that made sense? It is also use to look like other people that my character have seen, even able to mimic other people's voice. So what do you think would this be alright?

Sure, Kalive, that sounds fine. The only suggestion I'd make is changing his semblance so he can only make copies of himself and not others. Other players might not like you 'playing' their character, so to speak, even if it is a copy. Other than that it sounds workable.

Name: Olive Hemsworth
Age: 17

Weight: Thin, kind of a bean pole.

Personality: Serious. Olive takes what he is doing here very seriously, and intends to learn to be the best. He's not a jerk, but he takes being a hunter seriously. He's more likely to spend his free time practicing then lazing about. He does recognize that relaxation is necessary, though he prefers to do it with a book. He has a hidden passion for drama, and will often hide what he is reading with another, more... serious book. Olive has a lot to live up to, and does not intend to fail. Nevertheless, he is nice enough if you approach him in the right way, and will help those around him develop their skills freely.

Background: Olive was born in Vale, the child of two Hunters, both known for being skilled Hunters. His father, Charcoal, raised him after his mother died shortly after his younger sister, Aqua was born. Charcoal was often gone for long periods, leaving Olive and Aqua first with a series of watchers, then with Olive being left responsible for his sister. He didn't mind. Olive idolizes Charcoal, and counted the days till he could enter Beacon Academy, devouring tales of Hunter's exploits with an eager eye. He has entered Beacon intending to be the best. Not by tearing down others around him, but by rising above them. In fact, he fully intends to build up his class, to make him better. He has adopted his mother's fighting style, Halberd and Shield, something that causes Charcoal more then a little disquiet. Olive's semblance has done nothing to reduce that worry, as Charcoal fears it may make his son foolhardy. However, there is little sign of that yet, Olive showing the same seriousness as always.

Combat Style: Olive is deceptively strong, and uses his height and reach to his full advantage. He uses armor, layered metal plates, preferring to be able to take a blow when it comes down to it, and push through it to strike at his foe. He is slower then many hunters because of this, but his resilience is undoubtable. His weapons support this. It is a a Halberd and a massive shield capable of withstanding any blow. It transforms into a massive Ballista, firing Bolts almost as long as one of Olive's legs. The shield provides the arms of the crossbow, and the Halberd provides the central shaft to launch the bolts. Olive's preferred combat style is to engage from long range, and then if his foe closes, absorb the first rush and strike at a weakpoint from within the Grim's reach.

Semblance: Olive's semblance is regeneration. Wounds slough off the young man, pairing well with his fighting style. Bruises and cuts can be healed with a mere thought. Broken bones and serious gashes may take longer. Olive speculates he might be able to go so far as replacing a severed limb, but he's never had a chance to try. He cannot do this indefinitely, as each healing takes effort, drawing from his reserves of energy, but if Olive isn't put down in one blow, don't count on him staying down.

He looks mostly fine but, again, I'd stay away from swords. I'd like as little overlap as possible between characters.  If you want him to be defense oriented, why not a mace and shield instead? The mace could transform into a firearm of some kind, or utilize Dust in some fashion.

Largely because a Mace doesn't work really well with the strike at the Weak points thing. The way a Mace works, it distributes its blow across an area. A spear would work, but Wolfy's character's weapon is a spear as well. I'm trying to come up with something that works with that idea that isn't one of those two, but thrusting weapons that aren't a Sword or Spear are in short supply.

What about a halbred? It's different enough from just a regular spear. Or perhaps a mattock-type weapon? I would also consider a rapier different enough, as it's at least not another curved sword and is a thrusting weapon instead of a slashing one.

Hmm, could I say I make him look like a guard or some sort that's not a character? The purpose of this power was to be more sneak into place and act like a spy or even use it to get out in a tight spot. However if you still feel I can't do it that way then I would agree he can't copies of other people other then himself. Ill make him up tomorrow.

Personality: Aurelie is the one who will push the red button, adorned with DO NOT TOUCH signs, just to see what it will do.  Curious to a fault, she takes in information as if it were air.  As such, she often gets into trouble when she tries something or asks something that might be otherwise considered a no-no.  Seemingly aloof, she occasionally forgets that others exist, particularly if she's hyper-focused on toying with something, though she means well.  She enjoys being helpful, especially if it means trying something new.

Background: Born in the kingdom of Vale to a history professor and a bookshop owner, Aurelie would never have guessed that she would have any interest in becoming a Huntress.  Grimm were always hardly more than a fairy tale to her - until she wandered into the woods one day and chanced upon three very hungry Ursa.  Aurelie, hardly more than 10-years at the time, would have torn to shreds had she not been rescued by a band of Hunters.  From that day forward, the girl became obsessed, focusing all her attention on studying the Grimm, weapon-smithing, and the history of Remnant itself.  Despite a few rough patches, broken bones, and minor explosions, Aurelie made it through Signal with flying colors, handily passing the exam into Beacon, where the real fun was about to begin.

Combat Style:  Aurelie's preferred weapon of choice is a set of folding fans with a partly razor frame and mounted with a durable lightweight polymer, used just as well for offense as they are for defense.  When collapsed, each fan becomes either a baton for close range attacks or a long-barrel pistol that utilizes Dust for elemental attacks.  Fully expanded and locked together, the fans can be used as a shield, or in a final attack, they can be lobbed at an enemy like a razor-tipped discus.  Coupled with Aurelie's martial style, a mixture of Tai Chi and Southern Mantis, her deceptive innocence and vulnerability lure enemies into close-range combat, where she is most comfortable.

Semblance: Molecular Acceleration - by focusing on an object, Aurelie can increase the kinetic molecular energy of an object and cause it to combust.  So far, it appears to be limited to inorganic objects only (metals, plastics - no flora or fauna).  The object must be within a 15 meter radius.  Additionally, she has never succeeded in manipulating anything larger than a microwave (it's a long story), though with practice it could possibly improve.  Unsurprisingly, the damage of the blast is proportional, not to the size or mass or the object, necessarily, but the density.  The more tightly packed, the greater the relative blast.

Personality: Aurelie is the one who will push the red button, adorned with DO NOT TOUCH signs, just to see what it will do.  Curious to a fault, she takes in information as if it were air.  As such, she often gets into trouble when she tries something or asks something that might be otherwise considered a no-no.  Seemingly aloof, she occasionally forgets that others exist, particularly if she's hyper-focused on toying with something, though she means well.  She enjoys being helpful, especially if it means trying something new.

Background: Born in the kingdom of Vale to a history professor and a bookshop owner, Aurelie would never have guessed that she would have any interest in becoming a Huntress.  Grimm were always hardly more than a fairy tale to her - until she wandered into the woods one day and chanced upon three very hungry Ursa.  Aurelie, hardly more than 10-years at the time, would have torn to shreds had she not been rescued by a band of Hunters.  From that day forward, the girl became obsessed, focusing all her attention on studying the Grimm, weapon-smithing, and the history of Remnant itself.  Despite a few rough patches, broken bones, and minor explosions, Aurelie made it through Signal with flying colors, handily passing the exam into Beacon, where the real fun was about to begin.

Combat Style:  Aurelie's preferred weapon of choice is a set of folding fans with a partly razor frame and mounted with a durable lightweight polymer, used just as well for offense as they are for defense.  When collapsed, each fan becomes either a baton for close range attacks or a long-barrel pistol that utilizes Dust for elemental attacks.  Fully expanded and locked together, the fans can be used as a shield, or in a final attack, they can be lobbed at an enemy like a razor-tipped discus.  Coupled with Aurelie's martial style, a mixture of Tai Chi and Southern Mantis, her deceptive innocence and vulnerability lure enemies into close-range combat, where she is most comfortable.

Semblance: Molecular Acceleration - by focusing on an object, Aurelie can increase the kinetic molecular energy of an object and cause it to combust.  So far, it appears to be limited to inorganic objects only (metals, plastics - no flora or fauna).  The object must be within a 15 meter radius.  Additionally, she has never succeeded in manipulating anything larger than a microwave (it's a long story), though with practice it could possibly improve.  Unsurprisingly, the damage of the blast is proportional, not to the size or mass or the object, necessarily, but the density.  The more tightly packed, the greater the relative blast.

Well, yes it is luck of the draw. But it kind of makes sense to just decide before hand. And I have no objections to being Aurelia's partner. Though I have to say, our color palette is a bit gross. Red and White/Yellow and Black are both stylish. Green and Yellow not so much. Blue and White is nice though. Anyways, so the Fan Lady with Gambit powers, and Halberd and Shield with Wolverine's Healing Factor. That should be an interesting combo.

I figured but still, there is a troublesome lack of male options for those interested in having them in the line up as is. Not that is truly a issue given the amount of bi-types we have running around but It bothers me on a level of;well what if someone else wants dong there is only one to go around!

Hmmmm, How about instead of full on gender-bending one of my characters I make them a spotted-hyena Faunis that in addition to having ears or tail or both, they have the other trait that makes the female of the spotted hyena so interesting. A impressive faux-phallus. That way I don't have to make major alterations to my characters, and we have an extra member to be available to those who are interested?

Personality: Miss Blueskys has a very...aggressive personality. On the one side she has a great deal of energy and passion. She cares deeply for the things and people she find important even if she doesn't always express this in a delicate manner. She rarely approaches any task with anything less than her best possible effort. On the other she has a bit of a chip on her shoulder and a short temper. If pushed the right way she is quick to fight, verbally or physically. She is unlikely to back down until her flash of temper passes and the blood leaves her head and lets her look at a situation objectively. No one would ever accuse her of being a pushovers, that's for sure. But At the end of the day she means well and if you get on her good side you'll have trouble finding a more fiercely loyal friend. A surprising type of personality in one who tends to prefer to dress in up overly frilly outfits, but perhaps she is simply trying to compensate for her less lady like personality.

Background: Suleta grew up on the Vacuo side of the Vacuo/Vale. Life there is a intense one. It is frontier country, very under developed compared to the large cities of central lands of kingdoms. Harsh living conditions, and full of bandits and grim. Living there is dangerous but its necessary for the development of such lands and some rare resources are also only available in such areas. Here hunters and huntresses are necessary for the survival of the populous, protecting the civilians brave enough to live in this dangerous area. They are probably seen as heroes here more than anywhere else. Her mother, a Spotted-hyena faunus like herself, was a worker and a native to the Vacuo. her father was a Hunter from Vale who took up work in the area. She grew up seeing the important work her mother and father did and was inspired to do something meaningful with her life as well. Especially after her father died in a vicious battle with grim, stalling the beasts long enough for a civilian supply caravan escape danger. It was then she decided she'd walk in his footsteps, so far as to even go to battle school in Vale.  She is in regular written correspondence with her mother, who still works in the bad-lands.

Combat Style: Suleta lives in the mid to close range combat, and thrives when she can move in and out of that range freely. She is swift, brutal, and accurate. She likes to control the pace of a fight if possible, engaging foes on her terms as much as she can using extremely swift, agile movements to stay out of danger and keep her foes on their toes.  Her semblance allows her to further capitalize on this by letting her move to and attack from unpredictable angles and places.

Her weapons are a twin pair of tomahawks, good close range weapons that allow her to maximize her mobility and excellent for hacking, striking and hooking. They can transform into a pair of .50 caliber magnum revolvers, hand guns of seemingly ludicrous size and power for the girl, but she wields them with excellent skill at mid range, her quick draw is exceptionally impressive. They are named Huginn and Muninn respectively.

Semblance: 'Pull' Suleta has the ability to selectively effect the direction and intensity of her personal gravity. She can use this ability to adjust her while in the air momentum/direction and stick to various surfaces in defiance of traditional gravity.

Other: Unlike the given picture of my character, her ears would more rounded, golden in color with black spots. Her tail would be more slender and straight with the same sort of coloration as her ears.

As a spotted hyena faunus she has some of the traits unique to a female spotted Hyena. Specifically very high levels of testosterone for girl...like WAY high. It is likely the source of her naturally aggressive nature as well as the source of her focus on wearing girly outfits to compensate for it.

As she approaches total mastery of her semblance she will be able to manipulate the relative gravity of objects she touches. Allowing her to make heavy loads temporally lighter or an opponents weapon unbearably heavy.

 This is a WiP at the moment, but this is my character so far.

Name: Primrose Holiday

Personality: Primrose is considered to be fairly honest and straight forward, but a hard life of living in the wilds of Vacuo has made her not tolerate stupidity. She loves drinking and gambling and is considered to be a as she calls herself sometimes. "A Mean bitter bitch"

Background: Primrose wasn't always such a mean or blunt person. However events of life just turned out that way. Primrose started out life living in a small farming community in the wilds of Vaccuo. It was rough life to eek out from the dirt and arid lands of Vaccuo but what they had lacked in material goods they made up for in spirit and hard work. Life was hard but she was happy. Then it all came crashing down one cold night. It seemed a pack of wild Grimm had come. They had come to attack the village she lived in.

Being this far out her village could not afford to keep a Huntsman o Huntress on permanent staff. So though they tried in the end Grimm were simply too much for them. Tucked away in a cellar Primrose was forced to watch as her family was mercilessly hunted down and killed before her very eyes. The screams of the villagers as they died filled her ears, then as it seemed to come to head. A Beowolf ripped open the door to the cellar she hiding in. As she stared into those lifeless crimson eyes Primrose felt her blood run cold. Even when the villagers had fought amongst themselves there had always been life in their eyes. Not here. Those eyes promised but one thing, death. Seeing those eyes was more than she could take. After all Primrose was just one little girl. One frightened little girl. She did the only thing she could think of, she screamed. She screamed in such abject terror. The creature seeming to take some delight howled along with her. Just as it reared back to attack her the creature's head suddenly fell. Coming through the door was a woman with a weapon. It was a Huntress. She grabbed Primrose and fought her way out of the village. "Close your eyes little one!" she said to her and Primrose did. However there was too much curiosity in her and against the advice of the Huntress she opened them.

What she saw would forever haunt her for the rest of her life. The broken and mangled bodies of the villagers, their faces contorted pain, suffering, and most of all terror. Everywhere her young eyes looked she saw the same looks of terror on the faces. It made her shiver as she knew that she had almost worn that same look on her face. "Close your eyes you damn stupid kid!" the Huntress said. Finally after about third time Primrose closed them, but even she could still see those terror stricken faces. She couldn't keep it back for long as she suddenly began screaming loudly and in terror. Her mind gone. "Damnit!" the Huntress said before aiming a blow to back of Prim's neck knocking her out.

When she awoke Primrose was under a blanket and there was a fire crackling and huntress in a duster off to the side. "Finally awake are you?" she heard the voice of the Huntress as she tipped her hat up to look at her. That's when it all suddenly came back to her. Primrose suddenly seized up shaking, breaking into a cold sweat and nearly on the verge of hyperventilating. "Oh hell! breath Kid! Breath!" she said shoving a bag over her mouth. Soon enough Primrose passed out. She awoke again this time to feeling of being in a wagon. When she climbed out she looked up. 'Was beginning to worry about you there kiddo." she said with a jovial smile. The blonde woman extended her hand. "Goldie Earp." she said as Primrose took it. "Primrose Holiday." she said to her. "My mommy and daddy are gone aren't they?" she asked the woman. Who stopped a bit startled by it. "Yeah. They are." she said. Tears spilled from her eyes. "Teach me." she said. "What?" Goldie asked her. "I said teach me. Teach me to fight and kill Grimm." she said looking out at the desert. "Well ok." she said to her.

So began Primrose's training in the arts of being a Huntress. Once more Primrose found the training grueling but she endure. She needed to endure. That was the way it was. She learned quite fast that out here in the wilds you lived and you died by your weapon. Food and your weapon were all you needed to survive and you only did so if you could prove you were the bigger predator. As she learned to be a Huntress Primrose found she quite adept at using knives and shotguns. It was out here that she perfected her own weapon's style using her shotguns to get close then using her knives. However after a time Goldie suggested that Primrose should go to one of the schools. The embittered Primrose at first scoffed at the idea but after Goldie pointed out that if it helped her survive then it was worth it. Which is what why she suddenly found herself on the way to Vale as that was where Goldie had trained.

Combat Style: Primrose focus most of her combat on offense with a secondary focus on dodging attack while she keep on coming. Her particular weapons of choice are two sawed-off lever-action shotguns that deploy bayonets called "Morning Rose" and "Evening Rose." She runs at a target firing the shotguns. As she fires them she uses the lever action to spin the gun loading the next round. So the guns always look like they are spinning in her hands as she's firing them. When she runs out of ammo she spins them in the holsters which contain the tubes of ammo she needed and reloads them. She uses her shotguns to deploy the first stage of her semblance. When she gets in close Primrose will deploy the bayonets and fight as if she were using knives. This is where she proves how nasty a knife style fighter she is and where she deploys the second stage of her semblance.

Semblance: Double Impact. She uses her guns to place an explosive Rune on the target before tapping the rune with one of her knife blades or a part of her body to set it off doing an extreme amount of damage.

Other: Because growing up in the wilds of Vacuo Primrose learned much in the way our to gamble. After all when you barter and trade learning how to scam the other guy out of his bullets is just as effective as buying them yourself and you can turn a hefty profit to boot.

Season 3 of RWBY has already started off in perfect form. And then I saw this and it made me want to write RWBY stuff again since the last games I was in didn't go too far(MissFire should remember the last one we were in lol) So if you don't mind Miss, I'll be bringing Fenrir back into action.

Name: Fenrir Zherneboh (Black Wolf God)
Age: 17

Personality: Fenrir to people who don't know him seems to be a stoic individual, not talking much and always seeming to regard the best response before he does. He's the strong, silent type and because of that is a wonderful listener. Once you get to know him though, his personality changes.

He opens up and becomes much friendlier, laughing and smiling and joking much more than people think a person who looks like him would. He even considers showing you his face underneath the mask. Once he considers someone a true friend, his loyalty to them is unwavering(people attribute this to his wolf nature), and he would do anything for them. He's something of a flirt, and enjoys paying compliments to a pretty girl or making one blush.

Background: Fenrir was born into a strange life. Not strange as in bad, but strange as in rare. His family long ago started a colony deep in the mountains of Mistral, and it was there that after several years of settling in that they discovered impossibly large Dust deposits. It didn't take long for them to start mining it, and soon the Zherneboh Dust Works was created. They quickly rose to prominence due to the purity of their Dust and are now one of the largest producers in the world alongside organizations like the Schnee Dust Company.

Due to it's rather remote location and Grimm attacks from time to time, all members of the Zherneboh family are trained to become Huntsmen or Huntresses. This has become even more important since the White Fang has begun targeting them due to them selling Dust to everyone, and White Fang labeling them race traitors. On top of that they are also periodically attacked by radical human groups who don't think Faunus should have such power and resources.

Fenrir was born seventeen years ago and has been trained since birth to not only one day run ZDW, but in combat as well. As he grew, his skills in combat and tactics grew with him, until eventually it was discovered he was one of the rare individuals who could infuse himself with Dust and remain in control. He was enrolled in Sanctum when he was old enough, and quickly set about trying to prove himself. As a Faunus, he has always felt he's had to work twice as hard for half as much recognition. And every bit he got, he earned through talent and hard work.

He even won the Mistral Regional Tournament, becoming the youngest Faunus ever to do so. And then he won it three more times.(Phyrra Nikhos is a hero of his) With his achievements, it was no surprise when Beacon was his next destination on his road to becoming a Huntsman...an assassination attempt by a White Fang cell sped the process along nicely though.

Combat Style: Fenrir's fighting style can be described as simple, but effective. Swift and powerful blows are his bread and butter, combined with utilizing his natural claws and fangs when the opportunity arises. Although he can take hits better than most, his style relies on speed just as much as strength, and one of his favorite things to do is avoid or counter an attack, then use his opponents momentum to increase the force of his next attack even more. And due to being a Faunus, when he fights, he seems to embody the movements and ferocity of a wolf.

To increase his combat effectiveness, Fenrir has been trained and augmented so that he can implant Dust directly into his body. Different kinds of Dust create different results, but all of them are destructive and can be manipulated by body movements or by throwing punches and kicks(which increases impact force when used in conjunction with physical attacks). His weapon(s) is called Beowulf, and exists as a gauntlet/greave combo that allows Fenrir's speed, defensive capabilities, and strength to be used to their fullest potential. Due to his natural abilities and Dust manipulation, Beowful doesn't possess a second form like most weapons. However, a length of highly durable chain rests inside each piece and they can be launched out for long range striking attacks or used as makeshift grappling hooks to help Fenrir get around his environment easier or to pull enemies into his range. When not in use, they appear to be high tech armbands and ankle wraps that glow with circuitry lines.

Semblance: Fenrir's Semblance is called "Primal". By activating it, his form actually shifts into something resembling a werewolf, although he suffers no loss of cognizance. He's still Fenrir, he just looks like a more extreme version of his normal Faunus self. The advantages of this form are simple, but effective. Essentially all of his physical stats are increased by a staggering amount, making him much faster, stronger, more durable, etc...

Other:

Appearance: Appearance: Fenrir can be considered imposing whether he's covered or not. He stands at 6'3, and is well muscled from a life time of training and fighting even before training to become a Huntsman. His right eye has a thin scar over it from a fight he barely survived against a Grimm when he was younger. He also has a scar over his mouth on the same side that he usually covers with a face mask. As a Wolf Faunus, he has several physical features that set him apart from normal people.

His hair is snow white and short, stopping right along his jawline, although it's usually covered up. His teeth are sharpened and resemble fangs, while his nails resemble claws. His ears are pointed, and his eyes glow red in dim light or when he's feeling strong emotions. He tends to wear armor and clothing that conceals his appearance for the most part, and it's a rare thing to actually see what he looks like. Except his right arm is always exposed to show his clan symbol on his arm. His clothing is reminiscent of "shinobi" culture and he even has a bright red scarf that seems to shift and move rather unnaturally. If you do however see him under the mask, you'd see a handsome man with strong features and a kind smile. In the center of his chest is a small hexagonal port that opens and perfectly fits a dust capsule. This is how he infuses his body with dust in combat.

He has tattooed the Zherneboh clan symbol on his right shoulder.

Personality: Alexander is a generally nice guy with a sense of justice unfounded by most individuals. He tries not to butt into situations that don't pertain to him, yet he can't help but defend the weak when he is there to help. He likes making friends and isn't picky about an individual, race or otherwise. He could never bring himself to hate anyone no matter what wrong they have done. At random times Alexander can be goofy with fun antics which requires him to smile brighter than usual.

In combat, Alexander is completely focused with no room for anger nor hilarity. Just pure combat meditation.

Background: Alexander was born to a retired huntsman and huntress who both wanted to raise their child away from violence. Yet, Alexander has proven at a young age that being a fighter was in his blood when he constantly got into fights with bullies in school. Fed up with the idea of his son always coming home bruised, Alexander's father taught him how to dodge and block with hopes of less bruises the next time his son got into a fight. After that, Alexander was suspended from school because he broke a kids arm during a fight. This time, Alexander's mother got fed up with him fighting so recklessly that she taught him how to control his attacks and how to win a fight without causing to much damage.

Both parents, finding that their child took their lessons to heart and even continued to refine his technique on his own, inevitably decided to teach their son their abilities in combat when they were once hunters. Alexander, through trials and tribulations, built his own fighting style from the teachings of his parents who had different semblances than him. At the age of 14, Alexander's mother passed away from sickness with her final wish was for her son to become a great man like his father. To that end, Alexander desired to become a huntsman like his father was before him all the while never forgetting to defend those who couldn't defend themselves. Armed with his mother's dual gun-edges and his father's shield that were modified to fit his combat style, Alexander spent 3 years preparing for the day he would be accepted into Beacon.

Combat Style: Alexander is an all around fighter with a great defense, surprising agility, and sharpen offense. He has different fighting styles to suit different scenarios or to his liking. His mother's weapons, Srebro Heart (Silver Heart) and Złoto Heart (Gold Heart), are two dual hand-guns that have an extendable grip to form a short spear for each gun-edge. He utilizes multiple elemental dusts to power the shots from Gun form while spear form uses it's short reach to attack from close quarters where a gun would naturally hinder at. His Father's shield, Royal Guard, is a large circular shield that is made of a material that makes it light and durable. It was also made to be thrown and ricochet off any surface while mostly returning to it's owner through a magnet attached to the left gauntlet. In cases of needing to dual wield his weapons, Alexander could place his shield on his back in order to free up his left hand.

The gun-edges have multiple forms when combined together.
Thousand Yard Stare: Both gun-edges can come together to form a rifle that reaches as far as a thousand yards. The weakness of this is it requires both patience and stability to use it and is highly implored not to be used for anything close.
Bouncing Betty: Both gun-edges can be attached from the rear end to each other to form a auto-fire Bouncing Betty that can be thrown into a crowd of enemies and spread short range fire in all directions. The weakness of this form is that it renders the user weaponless (save for the shield) for a short period of time.
Royal Javelin: Both gun-edges can be attached from the rear and extended to form a double bladed Javelin that has incredible span and combat controlling ability.

His style of fighting revolves around perfected usage of offense, defense, and reflex. He both dodges and defends attacks whenever he sees fit and uses gun mode to to both reach and push the enemy into a defensive all the while testing reflexive skills. Spear mode is used for the closest battles and for whittling defense of an enemy. His shield is utilized best for defense, but at the right moments used to stagger an opponent by throwing it at their head or simply shield bashing them.

Semblance: Silver Paladin: Alexander manifests his Semblance in the form of armor that chances features of his combat style.
Avian Form: Manifesting his aura, Silver Paladin generates an external armor around Alexander that grants greater speed and mobility while granting a gliding ability in mid air. The down side of this form is his weapons gun mode loses some of it's accuracy and his attacks don't do as much damage as regular. His defense remains the same as does the accuracy of his shield.
Wall Form: Manifesting his aura, Silver Paladin generates an external armor around Alexander that grants greater defense and resistance while taking away from speed, agility, and mobility. His attack, however, remains the same as his base attack. 
Fighters Form: Manifesting his aura, Silver Paladin generates an external armor around Alexander that grants greater attack and capable of shattering defense all the while increasing his accuracy with his gun. In this form, his weapon usage becomes capable of piercing through defense and more damaging as a result. His defense takes a great toll however as he loses a great amount of resistance and endurance. His mobility remains the same as his base form thus making him relying on dodging in this form.

Not so much a ban as she doesn't want to see a lot of repeat weapons, since one of the best things about RWBY series is that pretty much no two weapons are alike.

Assuming Master edits his character slightly, that will be 3/4. So you more or less just need one more. Since RWBY is heavily based around partners and teams, I really don't want any odd people out or they'll get left behind/not have enough to do/have to NPC half their team/whatever.

A chain sword? Like chainsaw/sword? That would certainly be unique. Or something like Ivy from Soul Calibur, a whip/sword. Those would be acceptable.

I'd also note that Wolfy's Sword transforms into a spear. That's why Olive's weapon is a Halberd.

Anything else really takes away from the image I had of my character having hand-me-downs like Jaune while remaining a Paladin sorta figure. The chain-sword is not anything innovative and really doesn't give me room for a gun. I'm also really more interested in my original gun-blade idea than anything.

 It is similar to what Weiss' semblance but different. Weiss' semblance is more versatile in it's use where as Primrose's isall about offense and destruction of the target. I'm going to edit it a little to reflect that.

Pretty sure your full, but I had fun making this any-ways so on the off chance a player drops or something...

Name: Eminence Thistle Age: 18 Sex: Female Orientation: Bisexual Height: Small Weight: Athletic
"Fire, fire burning bright, cleanse this evil from my sight."

Personality: Eminence is cripplingly afraid of fire. Thanks to the tragedy of her youth she is utterly terrified of it, even the sun scares her. While she tries her hardest to rid herself of this phobia this single fact has completely shaped her.

At all times Eminence wears a fireproof suit underneath her clothes as well as a fireproof modified welders mask on her head... though this is usually raised and only provides shade from the light of the sun. She's shy, timid, as if she's expecting to get burned and in recent years has begun avoiding people who make fun of her fear. She spends her free time alone attempting to master fire, forcing herself to wield a fiery weapon and learning how to control and manipulate it.

Eminence used to like to party, use to love to meet new people, loved being active, swimming, and going for long walks at night... but these have almost entirely been consumed by her fear. She's more likely to run away from her problems then deal with them... and her method of running has prove victorious time after time, to the point that she's all but given up on everything.

Background: Eminence comes from a long line of noble hunters and huntresses, of the once-noble Thistle family. Until the age of 10 she was a happy girl, getting ready to become a huntress like her parents. Her life was fairly usual and to be fair she was spoiled, and if she had continued on that way she might have become quite a brat.

But at the age of 10, not long before she turned 11, disaster struck, she awoke as fire licked her skin, burning her. She cried for her parents, and her mother responded, breaking into the room. Together the two ran through the mansion, trying to find a way out of the building. Her father joined them from the other building, telling them that this is an attack by the Faunas. Every way is barred, every room filled with fire, and even some murdered maids. Eminence cried as they gather in the great hall in the centre of the mansion, her parents holding her close and protecting her from the lick of the flames. The building falls, and the beams pin the three together as the it all comes down around her. Her parents scream in pain for over an hour, until they stop, and she slowly feels the flames creeping past them, licking at her causing her screams to echo her parents.

But a funny thing happens, as she is being burned alive she sees the fractured moon staring at her from through the holes in the roof. She's falling, branches and wood smacking into her body, scratching her far less painfully then the fire. Just before she hits the ground and passes out she realized that she just discovered her semblance. The memory of her parents burning alive protecting her with their bodies haunts her to this day.

With her family's estate gone the money dries up paying her medical bills and school fees, by the time she's 12 the Thistles are nobles no longer. Alone she applies to become a huntress, the last of the money just barely enough to get her to a Huntress, if she doesn't fail any classes. In her first year at Sanctum academy she was failing, and failing horribly her absolute terror of fire crippling her in almost every class. The schools weapon-master Orim is'Blak took Eminence aside and tutored her exclusively, his solution to her fear was to give her a way to control fire... and control it she did. With his assistance she barely manages to pass her classes, and she managed to stumble her way through Sanctum with a average score making it to Beacon by the skin of her teeth.

Combat Style: Thistle weapon is 'Entropic Terror' a High Intensity Flamethrower whip. In it's primary form it acts as a Flamethrower, and when transformed it acts as a flaming whip with a claw at the end, this whip can be retracted dragging targets into the burning flames. It's powerful, but heavy, and requires Thistle to carry around a heavy armoured backpack filled with fuel. While she's built up some strength from this it means that Eminence Thistle is slow. Luckily for her her semblance makes her significantly more mobile, but as encumbered as she is she is not agile in combat and has to rely on trickery and deception to achieve victory against her agile foes.

On the battlefield she uses her semblance to both move and direct her Flamethrower in clever ways, in teams she takes a support roll, flushing enemies to her allies, as well as distracting and confusing enemies.

Semblance: Thistle's aura is quite weak, providing her with only minimal protection from attacks, and to combat this Thistle tends to wear armour to protect her when her aura fails. Eminence Thistle's semblance is the ability to create Portals within sight, as well as dismiss or re-linking any of her created portals.(Range limitation is as far as the eye can see, if she's to far away to see the portal ignoring obstructions, then it dissipates.) These greatly increasing her mobility, and more importantly giving her a way to use her short ranged weapon to combat ranged foes. Her portals appear to be purple tinted holes in space only visible from the enterable side

Wears a fireproof suit at all times, keeps her fear of fire to herself.
