*Smiles at the talk of lovitar* I once played a dark knight under her :) But for the most part I think I'll side with a worshipper of Shar. I'd have to get some more information on the goddess, but *looks at her FR book* think that can be arranged fairly easily :)
"Jealousy would be far less torturous if we understood that love is a passion entirely unrelated to our merits."

"A minute of perfection was worth the effort. A moment was the most you could ever expect from perfection."

Zaer Darkwail

Hehe, Shar is very well writen goddess and there is alot information and class potentials for that. I have played even Shar worshipping Bard/Dirgesinger/Assassin/Evangelist. Evangelist fits for church drived converters (class is from Complete Divine) and would fit for seductress of Shar.

Lirliel

I'd probably pick Half-drow to be a cleric of Shar, going with a Brd6/Ass4

Zaer Darkwail

Aha, okay. I myself have gamed often whit half-drow illusionist/Shadow adept :P. Anycase I can recomend some feats for bardic Shar follower, one example being Doomspeak (gives -10 pen to all rolls to foe for 1 round via using bardic music. Will save based).

Lirliel

Hmm... on the other hand... Rogue does seem to have its upper points... hmm jup going rogue.. what are the most common Shar followers, humans right?

Zaer Darkwail

Yep, most common and so are enbittered half-elves/half-drows and of course also the Shade worship Shar.

Lirliel

And where are most of her worshippers based?

Wait a sec... there is a monastic order of Shar isn't there?

Zaer Darkwail

Yep, Darkmoon Monastery of Sorcerror/Monks. Would think Enlightened Fist (a PrC from Complete Arcana which combines sorcery skills and monk traits and be able erupt fists into flames or electricity by sacraficing spell slot and get other arcane skills) would be popular in there.

Also in Power of Faerun is introduced a heretical order called Dark Moon Order which belives that Selune and Shar are merely faces of one same deity. In that Selune is Shar and Shar is Selune. Members can be any neutral (not NG or NE however) and use favoured weapon of any deity and have domains picked from both goddesses domains (not all but some).

Zaer Darkwail

Oh, also Shar haves no any centre of worship but cells of worship. it depends what class you pick up because Shar haves it's on specialized shells.

Lirliel

Then I'd have to still go with Rogue/Assassin, not that hot on Sorcerers.. or spellcasters of that matter. I tend to find them a bit hard to play somehow :S

Zaer Darkwail

Ok, but is not assassin a spellcaster? It gets list of spells after all ;). Also I allow Beguiler coreclass. A rogue/sorcerror illussion specialist from PHB2 and haves same skill selection as rogue does, same hp and profiency and good will saves. But whit no sneak attack but haves dozen good class features, including to learn silent and still spell metamagic feats in 10lvl.

Lirliel

He has a few spells, but not the whole lot that for example a sorcerer or cleric gets to pick from. I find it quite difficult to pick from spelllists, and most of the assasins are normal and you can use them almost every time. Not like some or the cleric spells, which you take with you for just that occasion.

Zaer Darkwail

Then you want avoid headache of from picking the spells :). Good side whit beguiler si that they have set spells known and they cna cast any spells what they know like sorcerror but they know automatically all spells form the spell level what they get.

Lirliel

Hmmm... well I'll stick with Assasin still.. somehow it just appeals to me. I like sneaking into peoples houses and sliding a knife into there neck. *Needs to play the female version of Artemis Entreri :P*

Zaer Darkwail

Argh! Female version of Artemis Enteri would be cold blooded emotionless bitch who takes only release from sex whit no emotional attachment and haves heck big ego about combat skills and kills anyone who threatens her anyway :P. To play Enteri you would need figther levels, at least six and then two rogue levels and then assassin levels if you want follow same concept of assassin what Enteri is. Altough rogue/assassin is fine also.

Lirliel

Jup.. perhaps funny encounter walking up to Enteri himself, "I am the world's best fighter!" *my character* "No I am!", *cut in fight sequence :P But I'll not make her the emotionless bitch that Artemis is. And plus, he isn't anymore not when he met Jaraxle.

But I'll stick with the rogue/assasin skills for now, and I'm gonna stop blabbermouthing before we get way off topic ;)

Zaer Darkwail

Yeh, anyone else intrested join is? Liriel and Purple so far have intrested to join in :).

RubySlippers

Well I'd play. Not sure but no evil people and I'm much more of a role-player than into fighting and all for me gaming is about hanging out with friends.

Not sure about starting at 10th level though its kind of high?

So it kind of depends.

indarkestknight

*raises hand*

Good guy. Not sure on build, though. What books would be approved for use? It'd help me narrow it down to fewer concepts.

Zaer Darkwail

Well, 10lvl may appear much but in Faerun 10lvl you can actually go some serious dungeons in groups and affect people more in personall power and influence in kingdoms or get assistance for heroic deeds etc. Also many woud be able reach PrC and have levels in it instead being 'beginner assassin this and that'. But to avoid power builds (or too flexible) I would rule only max 3 class combo builds to focus people into certain field (and PrC are included in that count). Only expections are handfull PrC who need mroe than two classes combos like Focluchan Lyrist (or Harpist whatever) whcih needed combination of 3-4 classes to qualify :P.

I have BIG collection of books, list would go;

All core books
PHBII&DMGII
MM II&III
All Complete Series
All race books
Exalted Deeds and Vile Darkness books
Expanded Psionics
Heroes of Battle&Horror
Sword&Fist (some adjustment needed for some classes)
Stronghold Builder's Guide
Spell Compendium

And I have alots Faerun books;
FRCS
Races of Faerun
Player's Guide to Faerun
Faiths and Pantheons
Power of Faerun
Magic of Faerun
Mosnter Compendium; Faerun
Lost Kingdoms of Faerun
Champions of Valor
Champions of Ruin
Lords of Darkness
Underdark

Also I likely forgot a book or two but these are the most what I have.

indarkestknight

What's your ruling on the feat requirements for Invisible Blade?

Zaer Darkwail

Well, I have always thinked to them be weird for melee specialist so I rule generally that you can use the printed version or Weapon Finesse, Weapon Focus (Dagger, Kukri, punching dagger) and Combat Expertice.

Kandice Kaine

I am soooooo in for this..

But do you have room for a Celebrant of Sharess...? *giggles and swishes tail idly*

National Acrobat

I am definately interested, but I like to have a certain amount of combat to balance out the RP at times. Whatever is needed, is fine with me to play.

Zaer Darkwail

I will add combat sure, I balance mostly rpg and combat whit egual measure because I like combat challenges and also add tactical posibillity to cobmats (like cut the canderlier rope fall onto the soldiers etc) and also some puzzle solving some cases but not alot. Also we DO use rolls for grapple mods in rape scenes in evil side etc (so there cna be PC vs PC combat but would appreciate more in not killing the other PC but take it as slave or as possible convert). Also I allow GUCK site rules to be used, link is here; http://www.netbook-of-uck.net/online.htm
