I'm sure everyone knows what an earworm is but just because a sing sticks in your head doesn't mean it's "good". Now early this week I got struck down with an earworm but for all the right reasons, it was one of those that sent me searching for the musicians either back catalogue. So I thought it might be a nice idea to have a place where people can share music that they find is just that good it refuses to go away.

So a few to start off. Christine and the Queens, where the song isn't a song it's more of performance art.

Rag 'N' Bone Man, the guy has an incredibly rich voice that he knows how to turn up to 11.

And the one that's been bugging me for the last week. LP really catchy song, distinctive voice, she looks cool as hell and then 2:30 into this performance its "OK where the fuck did that come from!?" in a making the hair on the back of your neck stand up kind of way.

Wow! What a performance. It's the way it builds from that quiet, simple start to that really aggressive vocal at the end. Also covering a song from one of the biggest song writing partnerships of the 60's doesn't hurt.

YES! Disturbed's "Sound of Silence" is by far my favorite cover. They did the song justice.

I've been pretty stuck on this band for a while. I was originally going to link to their debut single, but then saw this on their channel and can't stop listening. Love the live sound! Really, most of their songs are good.

Then there's this beautiful song:

And this is my go-to when I need to channel this level of vulnerability. Just as a warning, most of the lyrics are screamed, but the rawness of the song can't be denied, especially during the last half.

They are musician's musicians, and have never gotten the fame or attention they deserve, but I'll never get tired of the utter awesomeness that is King's X.

I adore this version. I just love how haunting it is.

I love Mark Knopfler's solo stuff and I don't think he's ever gotten the attention he deserves after he went his own way after the Dire Straits. He may not be flashiest musician around but his skills as a composer and song writer are some of the best. He really knows how to make each note count. This is one of my favorites. I don't think I could ever get tired of hearing it.

I'd put David Gilmour of Pink Floyd in the same category as Mark Knopfler.  Great composer and gets every drop of emotion out of each note.
