Two questions, actually.

What subject(s) do you have in mind if Lanford's a teacher? Also, when his vampire abilities are down, do his weaknesses turn off, as well, or do at least some of them stay on?

Lanford would teach several subjects (thanks his life experiences); History (obvious), Art (he has several times been artist), Math&Physics (he has lived some point as scientist) and also psychology&philosophy for those interested (not part of major classes but part time). As thanks for no need for sleep he runs also night classes for those devoted to studies or are nocturnal monster species.

His vampire weaknesses during day time are less severe most cases but some are more severe or hindering (holy water burns less but sacred relics are not just painful to hold but outright nauseous to be near with). But overall all his vampiric powers focus on keep him 'alive' during daytime so he can walk broad daylight (normal vampires would burn in sunlight but thanks aeons living in the world he has adapted to live during the day).

Interesting enough he has no undead traits during the daytime either; however he is still immortal so if you impale him on a spike during day, at night he pulls himself free (he goes sort death coma against extreme trauma in daytime but wakes up at night).

LeSane

Name:
Elkin Volstead
◾Alias: Bazz (Will only go by this name now)
Species: Artificial Monster/ Bogeyman
Sex and/or Gender: Male
Age: Cannot remember, but his identification claims he is twenty-two.
Student or Staff Member? Student in his third year

Appearance:
First Form
A little more than a small round mass of black smoke with a single silver eye with five noticable rings arounf the pupil and a wide sharp toothy grin. He wasn't able to perform any kind of ability to talk or understand those around him. For his own safety he was placed within a flask, but was able to quickly relearn basic understanding of things in a matter of hours before being allowed released. It still baffles people that a student was reduced to such a state, and is one of the many secrets collectively kept by the staff.
Second Form
Unique in appearance as it appears as a white, featureless version of whomever passes through the Gate, therefore can be perceived as shapeless. However, distinguishing features of this form is that it is pure white and has an inky black aura surrounding it that can rub others the wrong way; as if its reaching inside of them and taking something unspeakable. Elkin stands as tall as a normal adult male, but has no notable features beside a singular gleaming smile and nothing more. He will takes on the voice of whoever encounters him with a slight effect added to differentiate, which is more in line to its role as a literal 'part' of whomever it is engaging with.
Third Form
Is shown to have a strange, almost liquid-like body structure somewhat resembling a mix of both. He is able to avoid all attacks by shifting his body into a fluid shape, making him invulnerable to all physical attacks. It is the only form that does not receive damage. It would later be revealed to actually be an actual closest representation of what a fabled Bogeyman would look. This form is much thinner, showing what looks like a rib cage, a more muscular body, the multitude of silver eyes and wide grins that were on his previous form are gone, and he now has one large, bulging eye on his forehead. It is by far one of the more dangerous forms and it is usually hiding away in his current form using it as a shell until its no longer needed.
Current Form
A young man of average height with black hair, styled into an undercut since his recent transformation into a Bogeyman. Various tattoos cover his arms, and a sun tattoo covers his entire left pectoral region. For unexplained reasons, his eyes glow crimson surrounded by an abyss of darkness and always remains visible. Elkin typically wears a grey tank top underneath a black wrap sweater, along with harem pants and black sandals. He also wears a black necklace which was given to him by his mother last year.  Some students describes his appearance as being a little scary.

Personality:
Though he talked himself up, in reality he harbored considerable doubts about his abilities when it comes to school here. He actively put up a brave front, claiming to want to have more chances to be the best in the field of study, but actually faced with the reality of other students beyond his scope of understanding would undoubtedly surpass him and leave him with such a short coming, he break down and was overcome with feeling of fear. Even so, his commitment to his studies were stronger than any fears or doubts he might had harbored.

After his transformation into a monster, his personality changed drastically. Having fully embraced his nature and the ideology of a Bogeyman. He takes pleasure in seeing the emotions of others when faced with challenges, and expresses a belief in conquering fear through becoming the very monster one fears. While prone to erratic or wild behavior, he also shows moments of complete lucidity and awareness of his actions. He also appears to remember his past as an human and his relationship with others clearly. As such, his strange behavior hints at a thoroughly broken mind, with little concern for humanity or the social norms he once worried so much about.
Background:
Elkin's early life seems to have been very average, the eldest of two children in a normal family. At some point during his youth something killed their elderly neighbor. The event that deeply shook him as a child which left a deep impression as he grew up. Motivated by this, he decided to become a student once learning of this places existence and was accepted in the Academy after much negotiation.. A year prior he graduated from his old school second from the top of the class. When he is first introduced to his freshman class, he is immediately annoyed by the other students completely disregarding proper behavior and disrespecting him since being human. Despite this he passes the top of his class with hard work and dedication.

After another year, but this time struggling to maintain high grades and somewhat forced accept third best and praises for achieving such a high merits. He refuses to do the same for the two whom beat him, bitterly noting that they shouldn't look down on him. As the third year approached his mood immediately plummets when finding out he will be put in a intermediate class so he won't be swept behind due to the 'lack of comprehension due to being a regular human.' In his room, he agonizes over writing his resignation to the school and the details of why exactly for his departure. As he does so he becomes more and more distressed. His letter discusses his childhood and the reason he came here in the first place, something he considers a great accomplishment. He tries to reassure himself that even if he quits he probably be alright. However, he breaks down and writes across the entire page that he's afraid of what will happen. What happens afterward isn't entirely certain as he vanished for the following week without a trace only to return the beginning of the third year as Bazz. Whatever happened to him the young man got a chance to stack up with the rest of the students though it wasn't the way he had hoped in the end.

Abilities:
◾Bogeyman Physiology
◾Elkin since once being human falls under this power; since giving up his humanity to become as he is now. The ability to take on the form of Bogeyman an amorphous being that has no specific appearance. In many cases, it has no set appearance, but is simply a non-specific embodiment of terror. Bogeyman often target children, either to simply scare them or for some other nefarious purpose. He has the powers to use the abilities of Bogeyman which if researched fall under the variation of Cryptic Physiology.
◾Fear Affinity
◾The true power of any Boegyman lies not in their offensive capability, but instead in their ability to induce limitless fear in those who are struck. Just a single moment in ones guard is enough to inspire a deep-seated fear which his kind thrives from, causing victims to doubt everything, lose control of all rational thought, and see visions of their deepest fears. However, being artificially made into a Bogeyman this doesn't work all of the time and isn't as limitless as the real deal versions are.
◾Fog Generation
◾Can generate fog, making it hard to see them or anything. Bazz could use the fog generated to blind his foes so he can escape. He could also use it to fight, hit and runs as their foes cannot see them. However he normally uses it to maneuver about is having an adept handling of it. Its his main use of transportation allowing him to squeeze through most small spaces and blocked passageways with ease. Besides what's cooler than being fog?
◾Intangibility
◾Can simultaneously both intangible and tangible, being able to attack or make physical contact with their targets while their targets cannot touch nor attack the user even while the user is making physical contact. He is able to move through objects and ignore most physical effects in his way, exact means how this is done vary between slipping partially into other dimensions, being able to make his own particles move between other particles, being non-physical being of energy, vibrating every molecule into a new quantum frequency.
Weaknesses:
◾Is still technically human so some aspects of that still linger on.
◾ The human half and the Bogeyman side clash causing fits of random bantering to himself.
◾Bazz still ages like a human, but at a much slower pace than normal.
◾Having so much power has send him insane.
◾Could be mistaken for a malevolent god or demon. Bazz is none of these.
◾May be outdone by those of Good Embodiment.
◾Might lose power if a certain place, such as a town banishes evil from its place.
◾Cannot fear those that do not have the ability to be afraid.
◾Can still be stopped by higher power, such as a god
◾When intangible he moves very slowly through walls.
Other Special Characteristics:
◾Numerous stitches due to past mistakes.
◾Has a small tendency to gravitate towards chaotic situations.

Preferences:
◾Is primarily dominant, but has a moment of clarity to submit when the person is more than capable to take charge.
◾Exhibitionistic Play
◾Bondage
◾Power Play
◾The Basics (Vaginal. Oral. Anal.)
Turn Ons/Likes:
◾Intelligence
◾The indulgence of One's Vices
◾Emotional display during both conversation and intercourse
◾Surprises of all kinds
◾Fighting
Indifferences:
◾Sensual Play
◾Romantic People
Turn Offs/Dislikes:
◾Men that think too highly of themselves
◾Quiet places for long periods of time
◾The color Yellow (Just because)
◾Concepts of normalcy
Permissions:
◾Fighting

Quote from: TwilightGemini on June 22, 2015, 09:32:12 PM

Drake Valentine: So far, it looks pretty solid for the most part, except for like two things I've noticed. The dorms in the university are actually not separated by gender (though maybe they used to be a very long time ago). Also, he'll most likely have to be careful possessing a weapon like that around in university grounds. That's my fault, though, because I hadn't clarified those before. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. On Hold!

:3

Well, I figure most dorms would be separated by default, since many school theme games do similar of such; but that is fine too.

As long as no one attacks him, shouldn't be a problem. He will defend himself, if confronted with an aggressor. It is a lesser of dangers, if his magic was unsealed he might go around destroying/blowing up terrain and objects on campus if assaulted.

Edit:
Sheet Changes:
Added another strength.
Added another weakness.
Changed his age.
Changed family heirloom into lineage heirloom.

Name: Aphra Teraheart
Species: Demon
Sex and/or Gender:  Male (Trap. ;3 )
Age: 1,815 (Eighteen)
Student or Staff Member? Student

Appearance:
Aphra is not the tallest of individuals, most of his kin do not achieve great heights for demons. His stature alone stands a mere five feet and six inches. His body and build is very feminine to the point of easily being mistaken for girl with his long violet locks of hair that descend pass his waistline and soft, smooth skin. It doesn’t help his case either by his fashion statement, Aphra prefers to wear dresses and is mostly found in sleeveless ones, often wearing a set of arm sleeves to compliment his attire. Every dress he adorns is slit down the legs to grant his limber limbs freedom of movement. He often wears a golden hair band, and gold buttons can be found on his primary choice of dress. He does not wear footwear, seeing no need for such and he also avoids socks, stockings, or other leg garments.  He is void of mostly bodily hair, minus his thin violet eyelashes and eyebrows, but other than those he keeps himself well shaven everywhere else. He could probably be mistaken for an elven vampire given his pointy ears, small fangs, and other alluring feminine features; if it wasn’t for his miniature horns perched atop his head and peaking through his tresses of hair.

Personality:
Aphra is, how shall one say, a haughty individual. The way he carries himself often speaks of such, even if he doesn’t verbally express it. He has a way of looking down on others, even those who may be above him as far as the faculty is concerned. His noble lineage is a result to his mentality, seeing his kindred as the superior race and all others beneath him. He does not make a habit to express such, less one may choose to annoy or pester him and then he will rightfully remind them of their place. This nature of his can also be quite dangerous if truly provoke in confrontation, one of the main reasons the more deadly aspects of his powers were sealed by his family was to avoid causing mayhem within the school on enrollment. .

He is manipulative when he does have to deal with others; otherwise he is cold and distant. He has a disdain towards bodily odor and filth in general is distasteful to him. He despises stupidity and being ‘enforced’ to do anything. He finds the female body more attractive than the males, but not to the point of wanting to personally be a woman. He is quite happy with his gender and in turns of appeal, he deceptively uses his as a means to take residence within the Girl’s Dormitory. Not out of personal lusts or desires, but out of comfort.

He isn’t much physically active, having little to no desire of sports or competition. Why compete when he already ‘knows’ the results? He values his own individualism and alone time above everything else. Carnal desires are not beneath him, although he must be in the mood and indulging in them is not out of affection; unless someone truly catches his eye. It isn’t beneath him to just ‘use’ someone for his outlets.
Background:
It is unknown where the Terahearts originated from, though many of the ancestors can be traced back to the Ancient city of Ur, a place where they achieved great fortune and wealth that they have today. Generations of family would always live through the times of war within the Middle East and Aphra was no exception to such a chaotic upbringing.

Being a child was never easy, especially when one’s lifespan and aging was more slower than that of other mortal species. Aphra had lived a secluded life most of the time, a caged bird protected from the conflicts of the mortals. It was not right for demons to interfere in the matters of humans, such had consequences within the realm and there had been power hungry individuals before his time; one of which who was a part of his lineage. Most details he does not know of today, those who may of lived during ancient times may have better familiarity with his bloodline and their distant, ancestral, bloody conquest.

For over a millennium, Aphra studied the principles of magic. It does take time to find the arts one may have an affinity towards and then more years of dedication and mastery towards those fields. His was not the most impressive out of his family line. Just having one ’useless’ field of potency is often an insult to the lineage itself. Terahearts value power above all else, magic capable of destruction or powerful studies that would allow them to protect themselves. In his large family line, demons are often rank by the magic they have affinity towards and those with higher aptitude often become the heirs of their noble faction. If it was a test score, his rating(despite mastery, but in general ranking) would be considered a C- to them and that is out of generosity of bloodline.

Over time, the heirloom was granted to him out of safekeeping; though some may not expect him to be fully able to guard it. Normally the weapon is kept locked and guarded away, though with a recent upbringing and discovery of one with matching magical affinity to the weapon’s attributes this alone has brought about a panic and splitting of factions within his house.  There are those who would wish to give the next ruler over the household more power, though a small faction, still a dangerous one.

One method of remedy was the splitting of the household, the larger faction deciding it best and safest to grant the weapon to the one with the weakest aptitude towards it. Even should such an individual go out of control, they would be able to band together and handle it; however someone with complete affinity would be a more dangerous outcome. They have split up, believing it best to not fully keep in touch and know one another’s whereabouts.  Aphra has merely spent the next couple of centuries from one ‘cage’ to the next, living a life of luxury with his parentals.

Through those couple of centuries, he has attended the Monster Academy several times. Though he is not a repetitive individual for following years go. It is even surprising if he does enroll and linger for more than a year, before disappearing for decades only to return again for another year or so. Mainly this sporadic nature is aid in running luxurious family Inn and also make his presence harder to track for those of the dangerous other faction of his bloodline.

Abilities:
+Magic Mastery: His lineage is capable of quick acceleration and mastery over four fields of magic; however, consequently they must have an affinity towards those fields. From there they are able to combine the various learned studies of magic to conjure variations of possibilities.
+ Illusion:  Being the ‘less dangerous‘ of his magical abilities, his family has seen no need to seal such a ‘useless‘ power. For Aphra, it is far from useless. If one is not strong will mentally enough or know of ways to break illusion, than they may find themselves prey to his trickery and they are not simple parlor feats either. No, Aphra can influence all five senses of a target(s), making whatever they witness to happen to seem true.  Naturally the less targets the easier and stronger the illusion may be, multiple individuals he would have to spread the magic out. Still possible, but given the seals influencing his mana pool, it is something he may avoid. (Unsealed / Unknown to the school)
+Evocation - Dark Manipulation: Given the seals, his dark manipulation isn’t that dangerous unless it is being amplified by the object he keeps with him.  Simple shadow movement, blending and shrouding of darkness. Only dangerous and able to bring harm either unsealed or with the guarded treasure. (Mostly Sealed / Known to school)
+Evocation - Ice Manipulation: He can either shift and alter existing and present ice with his powers or mold and create ice out of mana. Of course, naturally he presently can’t do either of such. (Sealed / Known to faculty.)
+Conjuration - Summoning: The ability to summon various fiends, monsters, or otherworldly creatures.  (Sealed / Known to faculty.)
+Agile: Very agile, capable of performing perfect balance while barely perched upon objects.
+Intelligent: He is from a mage-line of demons, after all.
+Wisdom: He has plenty of common sense, though he usually isn’t so tune in other’s feelings or too aloof to care.
+Willpower:  He is highly resistant to mind altering magic or other abilities that may charm/control him.
+Decelerated Aging: Demons age much slower than other species and his bloodline is no exception.  One hundred human years is the equivalent of one demon year for his breed.
Weaknesses:
-Other Studies of Magic: By tradition and nature, his lineage do not care in specializing in other studies or fields. It is considered a waste of time as they will never be capable of mastering such nor will they be able to combine the effects of other fields with each other or with the ones of their master levels.
-Strength: His kin has never been known for great feats of physical strength, less they were altering their body with the use of magic, assuming they had an affinity to such.
-Seals: Most of his magic capabilities are sealed and as a result effect his vast mana pool.
-Stamina: Given his lack or drive to be physically active, his body can tire quickly with too much physical action. Even prolonged ‘exercise’ is exhausting to him and he avoids it.
-Arrogant: He is a very proud creature, often seeing himself above or superior to others even with his magical handicap.
-Nobility: Tied with his arrogance, he only wants the best. Food, perfumes, clothing, etc, etc. Lesser or common items won’t do and it is troubling enough to make due being unattended to at beck and call, less his charms the stupider lesser individuals to be his servants.
-Mortality: His kin is not immortal, they just have a longevity of lifespan. They can be slain numerous ways; by magic, excess blood lost, or fatally severe.
Other Special Characteristics:
Lineage Heirloom: A demonic sword he carries around, the weapon itself is a living entity often referred to as a ‘curse’ sword. It is also a sealed item and only activates to those of the Teraheart bloodline who may possess an affinity to particular fields of magic(Dark, Fire, Death, and/or Enhancing) or other races with similar strong mastery of such a specialty. The weapon is nigh indestructible and greatly enhances the magical properties of the affinity one may possessed that is similar to its own. Unfortunately, it is a greedy weapon as well, considerably dangerous as it will hook into its possessor and leach away their very life force once awoken.
Horns: By default, his horns appeal small in nature, this is mainly due to the various seals effecting him and his magical capabilities. The extension of his horns will represent a weakening of the seals binding him an in turn increase the danger levels of his bound magic. His horns also have several different colors and that is usually a means of how full of mana he is. Gold hue is when his body is full to the brink of energy, ivory often represents a depletion and on a fuel level ‘low or near empty.’ Basically the brighter the light the more contents of energy he has.
Fangs: He can drink blood to restore his energy, though doesn’t often do so as he isn’t much interested in drinking ‘from the weak.’

Preferences: (Heterosexual, Switch. Heavily leaning Dominate.)
Turn Ons/Likes: Bondage, Non-Con, Humiliation,
Indifferences: Being Humiliated(female,) Urine(female,) Public Places
Turn Offs/Dislikes: Scat, Yaoi (Male Homosexuality), Receiving Anal, Romance
Permissions:
Combat. (Though don't expect him to fight fair.)

Pale Eclipse - Group Game Project{Paused}

Angaroo

Here's my character! Just lemme know if I need to change/elaborate on anything and I will do so.

Name: Maple Blakely
Species: Lapid/Moth Girl
Sex and/or Gender: Female
Age: Twenty-five, which is about half-way through her species life span.
Student or Staff Member? Staff member, doctor.

Appearance: Despite her rather odd features and the fact that she only stands at around five foot five inches, Maple actually has a rather attractive and voluptuous figure. Save for her torso, chest, crotch and glute areas, a strong exo-chitin covers most of her body and serves as a sort of body armor to protect her fragile figure. Her wings, which may appear to be white in color at a glance, are actually a gradient of colors ranging from a light cream all the way over to a dark maple syrup brown, which is actually how she got her name. While her "normal" nose can also be used to smell, Maple's antennae are actually far more sensitive to detecting smell from several hundred feet away. While the pair of mandibles that protrude from her back lack the ability to use pencils/pens or even pick items up, she actually uses them more for pushing or grasping things/people if she needs to. Like most of her kind, the hair/fur on her body (in addition to her wings) are coated in a fine dust-like substance that seems to radiate off of her and almost appear to make her shimmer in whenever she stands near a light or is out in the sun. She is usually always seen in her yukata, since it is rather difficult for her to find normal fitting clothes without having to have them specially made for her. Her skin in incredibly pale and her hair color shares a similar palette to that of her wings.

Personality: Maple, despite her youthful appearance, is actually very mature and motherly in nature and is incredibly caring to students in particular. Being as affectionate as she is, she wouldn't think twice to invite someone into her home for tea, even if said person was a complete stranger, so it comes to no surprise to say that she is rather gullible to some extent. Although her memory isn't all that good nowadays, she is incredibly skilled as a nurse and has had a lot of experience in dealing with treating a wide variety of other races. Maple's manner of speaking is a bit odd and the way she expresses her different moods is, perhaps, even more strange but, for the most part, she never has any trouble communicating with others and is actually a very sociable individual. She spends most of her free time either in her house entertaining herself in one way or another, or spends it scouring around looking for something fun.

Background: Born in the town of Blakely, Pennsylvania, Maple Blakely was one of the first of her kind to be born under the care of FotS1 Security. At the time of her birth, the FotS had just discovered the Lepids and had been working with them for a couple of months. Maple admits to barely remembering anything before her cocooning, other than random memories like enjoying how warm the humans felt whenever they had to carry them around or feeding on piles of leaves with her siblings. Unfortunately, the FotS had no established facility in the area, nor had no idea just how susceptible to the cold the Lepid's were until it was to late. Having been born so close to the start of the winter season, Maple was heartbroken when she emerged the only survivor amongst her brothers and sisters. Even her mother had passed away. It was nothing short of a miracle that she was the only one that had survived the harsh winter, and it is undoubtedly certain that she wouldn't of made it herself had it not been for the FotS.

Despite her heartbreak and her deep periods of mourning, Maple was offered, in her eyes, a shining opportunity. Agreeing with FotS officials, it was decided that Maple would attend the Academy whilst the Foundation worked on constructing a facility in Blakely so that if she ever wanted to settle down and raise children of her own, she had the option to with little to no fear of what she had experienced. Taking and seizing this, she gladly accepted her position and has been working as the school nurse ever since, happily helping those who need it, yearning for the day she's ready to start a family of her own.

Abilities:
Healing Dust: While the 'dust' that covers her wings and hair appears to make shimmer in the light, its main purpose serves as an effective cure-all. With smaller cuts, scratches and bruises, her powder can actually fade those away in a matter of minutes. However, with broken bones, larger gashes and failing organs, the dust serves more to keep the wound from getting any worse then it already is. It is unknown whether or not the dust contains magical properties or not.
Licensed Doctor: Her race actually excels at medical feats, be it the extra set of powerful mandibles that can be used to pry open a ribcage or her very keen eyesight, granted it's in a very well light room. Plus several years of working in the field doesn't hurt either.
Super Smell: While her nose is able to register smell, the two feathery looking antennae atop her head are incredibly sensitive to smell, making Maple able to detect smell from up to several hundred feet away.
Chitin Body Armor: The hard exo-chitin that covers her body is, even though is feels rather smooth, is actually incredibly tough and durable. While a speeding bullet or a well placed mallet strike would probably cause the chitin to crack, a ricocheting bullet or a glancing sword strike would easily slide off.
Pheromones: During times of peak arousal, Maple will excrete a special sort of 'pheromone dust' into the air and surrounding area, which serves to make the subject more sensitive while also exciting their brain into thinking of pleasurable, often times perverted, things, especially if they breath it in.

Weaknesses:
Cold: Maple absolutely despises cold weather, mainly because it could actually kill her if she's out in it for to long.
Overly strong smells: Because she is so sensitive to smell, anything overly strong will cause her to turn the other direction. Particularly cedar wood and lavender.
Flightless: Her wings mainly serve to attract potential mates and not to fly, since she is far to heavy.
Nyctophobia: A lot of people think that, since moths are generally nocturnal, then they must enjoy the night. Well, contrary to popular belief, Maple is actually frightened of the dark. This is due in part to her being practically blind in the dark, which is why she is so attracted to light. It's not unlike her to carry a flashlight with her wherever she goes.

Other Special Characteristics: Besides her yukata, Maple always seems to have a flashlight on her person at all times. When she is overly joyed about something, her antennae will actually move up and down and make a sort of jingling sound, similar to a small bell off in the distance. Her room is a very bright white and is constantly illuminated by several florescent lights and it's where she spends most of her time.

Preferences: Pansexual. Submissive, although she secretly prefers taking lead.
Turn Ons/Likes: Sweets, tea, protective partners, voyeurism, teasing, orgasm denial, Nature, cuddling, vaginal, cum inflation/lots of cum, public sex, pregnancy, laying eggs, cunnilingus.
Indifferences: Anal, BDSM, overly rough, fighting.
Turn Offs/Dislikes: Hair/wing/antennae pulling (touching is okay though), urine/scat, swearing,
Permissions: Will usually decline a fight, but don't feel bad starting one with her anyways. Anything else I'm okay with, although I ask you to message me if snuff or serious injury is to be involved in anyway.

You tempt my laziness Gemini. If the school is big enough that it makes sense to have more than one security staff, then I'll just keep Furaam as he is. I guess they can alternate shifts and stuff since there needs to be someone always guarding the grounds. Would be indeed a bit silly if someone had to just be on permanent duty and never have time off :P

Said character;
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

Name: Anactoria
Species: Harpy
Sex and/or Gender: Female
Age: 2800-ish
Student or Staff Member? Teacher - Classical & Modern Greek, Astronomy (History?)

Appearance: Although she only stands around two and a half feet tall, Anactoria typically perches where she can at least meet the eyes of those around her. Mostly covered in rich golden feathers, she has the body of a bird of prey save for her breasts, neck and head, which are identical to those of a human woman, as are the genitals hidden beneath the feathers between her thick, plump thighs.
Those thighs are stronger than they would initially appear, each leg being able to support her entire body weight without too much trouble, her legs ending with a trio of long talons flexible enough to write with, and sharp enough that she never needs a steak knife. Her legs, too, are capable of a surprising, if still somewhat limited, range of motion.
Although the feathers covering her body tend to be relatively small, those on her large wings are nearly as long as she is tall, and her tailfeathers are just as large and as remarkably soft as her primaries. Despite the size of both her body and impressive wingspan, Anactoria can be exceptionally quiet in the air. On the ground, however, she is slow and awkward, preferring to be in the air whenever she needs to go anywhere, a habit that typically means that her trip from classroom to staff room involves jumping out of the classroom window rather than making use of the door.

Her human aspects are far from unattractive, the long hair pulled up into a simple loose bun on her head is the same rich golden hue as her feathers, and her face that of a pretty young woman with intelligent, if farsighted, eyes typically hidden behind glasses.
The breasts on her chest are firm and perky, rather than full or especially large, and typically covered only by a sports bra, most other forms of clothing being entirely impractical for her body shape.

Personality: Far older than she appears, Anactoria has had plenty of time to cultivate a relaxed approach to life, and is quite content to simply sit back and calmly watch events unfold around her.  She is, however, both somewhat obsessive and very domineering, something that leads to confrontations when another attempts to impose any sort of authority or control over her. In class, although strict and just as incapable of backing down as outside of the classroom, she is a patient teacher who is more than willing to give a student - the gifted especially, although also the less competent - her personal attention outside of regular hours to perfect their understand of her chosen fields, although she insists on her students aiming towards that goal rather than merely towards obtaining a passing grade, and she can be quite aggressive in driving students to their limits.
Discussion and debate is a favourite pastime of hers and, as an especially longtime advocate of the Socratic method, she regularly takes advantage of an opening for a good dialectic, both for the intellectual exercise and because she finds few things more exciting  - and, although she tries to pretend otherwise, arousing - as an intelligent, articulate person eloquently and passionately debating with her.

Background: There were never many harpies, and their numbers have dwindled over the centuries, the stupid tending to die young, although those that survived turned into excellent hunters, preferring the taste of powerful, sentient prey, actively hunting such creatures as gorgons, sphinxes and magically capable humans. One of the handful of remaining ancient harpies, Anactoria was one of the more cautious and intelligent of her kind, traits that have only developed over the centuries.
Although stealthy enough that few humans were aware of her presence, she has long been drawn to humans, especially their poets and philosophers, and often lurked around the symposiums and theatres of ancient Greece. Unlike many of her kind, who hunted humans as often as they could, Anactoria took a more claws-off approach early on, enjoying the lack of alarmed and alert humans that her discretion provided, to the point where she not only observed humans, but sometimes - although quite rarely - attempted to seduce certain humans. Among her claims are a passionate and mostly intellectual affair with Sappho, an especially physical pursuit of Epicurus, a one-sided and ultimately futile pursuit of Hypatia and a brief, turbulent tryst with de Sade, where both attempted to dominate each other.

However, the time that the supernatural could hide away from the bulk of humanity swiftly passed and Anactoria knew that she would soon become unable to conceal herself much longer. Discovering the Foundation in its early days, she made the only intelligent choice and revealed herself to them, happily taking a teaching position at their then-unbuilt school.

Abilities:
Intelligent: Highly intelligent to begin with, Anactoria has had centuries of learning and reason to increase her mental abilities even further.
Immortality - Limited: Age and disease mean nothing to Anactoria, although while her body is capable of enduring heavy injuries, enough physical damage will kill her for good.
Flight: Anactoria's large wings are entirely functional, and powerful enough to launch her body into the air and keep her up there with the speed and grace one would expect of a bird of prey.
Talons: Lacking the sharp beaks of more conventional raptors, harpies relied on their talons for hunting, especially in the bad old days when humans were on the menu. Modern armour and plate have little to fear from her, but anything lighter will be torn and shredded. Magical protections do more harm than good, the claws of harpies having long ago adapted to penetrate the defences of their favourite type prey.
Magical resistance: Being a hunter back in the old days when sirens, gorgons and all kinds of magically-empowered creatures were not just more common, but a major part of the typical harpy diet, harpies developed a resistance to the abilities of their prey, a resistance that, in the few remaining ancient harpies like Anactoria, is exceptionally potent, protecting her from most magic, often leaving her completely untouched by it. Magical and mental effects that can be resisted by willpower have an especially hard time affecting her, Anactoria's strong dominant personality, extreme magical resistance and immensely solid willpower making such attempts all but futile.

Weaknesses:
Armless: Anactoria's talons are capable of a lot, but she can only use one at any one time, relying on the other to hold her body in place. Anything that takes two hands or especially fine coordination is beyond her.
Farsighted: Without her glasses to compensate, anything within a few feet of Anactoria is a blurry mess to her. She can read a book from across the room, but has no hope of making anything out if she's holding it herself. On the other hand, her glasses do limit her vision to a more human range, obscuring distant details that she would otherwise be able to discern with ease.
Claustrophobia: Anactoria needs her space. She's fine in a typical class room, can manage a storeroom, but anything smaller and she begins to panic.
Other Special Characteristics: With her extreme farsightedness, Anactoria relies on her glasses for reading and work, and always has them with her. For better or worse, she is too proud to consider backing down, even when she really should.

Preferences: Dominant lesbian-leaning bisexual
Turn Ons/Likes: Wordplay, intelligence, submissiveness, women, bondage, vaginal, receiving oral, laying eggs
Indifferences: Men, giving oral
Turn Offs/Dislikes: Scat/urine, Dominant partners, being restrained, seeing eggs eaten, being called a chicken, Romans, Spartans
Permissions: Combat (ask), Sex (ask)

Lanford would teach several subjects (thanks his life experiences); History (obvious), Art (he has several times been artist), Math&Physics (he has lived some point as scientist) and also psychology&philosophy for those interested (not part of major classes but part time). As thanks for no need for sleep he runs also night classes for those devoted to studies or are nocturnal monster species.

Well, how about you just start with like one subject or two for now, even if you said some of the others are part-time? I'd rather you not grab too many, especially this early in the RP's development.

APPLICATIONS
Sain: In that case, the university should be in pretty good hands with Raven and Duran on the watch. Accepted!
Drake Valentine: Looks like you took great care in trying to balance out your character! Definitely looking forward to how he'll clash with other people. Accepted!
JoanieSappho: One of the more unique appearances I've seen here, and your writing so far reads like you'll have no problem pulling off your character! Accepted!
Angaroo: Sounds honestly like something a branch of the Foundation could be so careless about way back then. As for the rest of the form, she looks like a pretty interesting character to have working in the university! Accepted!
LeSane: Bazz sounds like an interesting character to work with, but there are a couple things that feel off with his form. First off (which may sound weird), the past events in his Background are written in present tense. Second, had Bazz been communicating with someone from the Foundation before his return? Otherwise, they'll most likely not let him back in unless he can explain his transformation and they evaluate his mental state. He doesn't need to be perfectly sane, but if he's lost a good chunk of his sanity, something will most likely have to be done about it before he's accepted back in. Pending.

GM'S UPDATE

I must apologize for my slowness. Outside of work and other irl ordeals, examining these forms takes me a lot of time. Unfortunately, the next three days I'll be slow, as well, because I have long shifts at work on them.

Ok, I wrote and edited the thing about his employment and also added he teaches specifically science and art (so our harpy teacher can teach history lessons), but also mention in night studies he does lots part time teaching in various subjects (he can cover almost anything really but he simply cannot duplicate himself so he covers part time studies with students who are lacking behind or can study only at night or later evening).

Maybe this was addressed by the school's current therapist who will be a temporary NPC and Hotaru will be called on to check up on him as a part of a Psychology final as a senior. A new monster is a rare and wonderful opportunity for a budding young therapist-in-training to learn something new.

That I think could work, actually. We should let LeSane know about the idea and see if you two want to discuss it?

Apologies for missing the permissions section, hopefully this answers your concerns:

Edit:
Background The Mi-go have been eyeing earth for centuries and have debated with others in nearby star systems about mineral rights. It took her family to convince them that the planet was home to any sort of sentient life worth recognizing, so though they're currently willing to work through diplomacy and trade agreements to get the mining rights on earth that they want, it's not beyond their power to simply take it, or so they think.

The Mi-go's interaction with humanity is limited, they have no reason to send anyone to the Academy because they don't gain any sort of sentience until adulthood and then are welcomed into a spore-based hive-mind. Helena is there because it's her duty, born into a family dedicated to keeping the peace as well as a personal drive to try and assist the relationships between all races.

Hope you don't mind me including my interest check and profile in one post, hehe.
Name: Helena Akeley
Species: Human
Sex and/or Gender: Cis Female
Age: 20
Student or Staff Member? Student, specializing in astromony and astology

Appearance: She stands about 5'4" with dark red hair, bright blue eyes. She has a slender/skinny build, 28C breasts, pale complexion, and a round/bouncy backside.

Personality: Reticent is probably the best word, she really keeps to herself, it's mostly a function of the way she got her position in the academy, not a function of anyone else. She tries hard to live up to her family's expectations of her, but she's not really sure why. She knows they don't really mean anything, that humans are but a spec in the face of oblivion, but she still tries to do her best, no matter what the odds.

Background: The Akeley famiy have been diplomats towards the Mi-Go for decades. When Helena was growing up, she heard tons of stories about brave uncle Henry, how he'd visited their planets, learned their language, bonded with their people, that he was one of the first people to establish a bond between humanity and another race. She listened, wide eyed and eager, until she'd heard what uncle Henry sacrificed.

He sliced off his body, put his head in a jar. Trans-light travel wasn't as popular back then, his Patrons couldn't pull it off with a human body. So He spent most of his life travelling place to place, hoisted like cargo. Helena swore she wouldn't ever sacrifice herself like her uncle did, that she would never give herself up like that. Still, that was her understanding of an uncomplicated world, who knew what was to come. The Mi-go have been eyeing earth for centuries and have debated with others in nearby star systems about mineral rights. It took her family to convince them that the planet was home to any sort of sentient life worth recognizing, so though they're currently willing to work through diplomacy and trade agreements to get the mining rights on earth that they want, it's not beyond their power to simply take it, or so they think.

Abilities: Willpower, subtlety/nuance, tact

Weaknesses: Manipulation, physical strength (she's better at agility), foresight

Other Special Characteristics: The Akeley Heritage means something, they're friends of the Fungi from Yuggoth, which puts even the Elder Things on pause. It's not crazy power, but it's political leverage. No one wants the Mi-Go to try and harvest Earth, but it would take a lot of convincing to make it seem worth their while.

Preferences: Bisexual, submits to both men and women, even though her family raised her to take a more dominant path
Turn Ons/Likes: Bondage, pet play, lots of cum, anal, hair pulling, domination
Indifferences: Open to suggestion
Turn Offs/Dislikes: Bathroom stuff, extreme pain, snuff, preg
Permissions: (Godmodding is out, OOC consent before any sort of sexual interaction would be lovely)

Just dropping by for a minute to say that LeSane's character is officially Approved!

I have another long shift in a few minutes, so even though I've looked through all the most recent posts here, I most likely won't be able to respond to them properly until later tonight. My apologies for keeping a couple of you hanging. What I can say, though, is that there are a couple things I want to bring up before I can decide whether or not to accept those I have yet to.

One last thing, then, which was something I was thinking about how much of a big deal it is: Do you think he's well balanced out? Even though most of his powers are turned off during the day, he does have all of them during the night. According to what I'm reading, he can read minds, knock them out, and manipulate their memories (the latter two done with a simple gaze), he can't die at all even during the day because he can return just fine up to half a day later after complete annihilation, he's completely free from basic human needs and weaknesses, and it sounds like he knows enough to teach virtually every class. At first, I thought his vampire weaknesses and his reversion to human form during the way would balance most of it out, but I'm not quite so sure now.

Even for a teacher who's powered up mostly during the night, he kind of sounds more powerful and skilled than every other character who's signed up so far. Is there a way you can better balance out his abilities and weaknesses a little more, especially concerning his immortality and memory manipulation (the latter, in fact, sounds a little too much to even let him have)? Like...what about the dependency on blood that vampires usually have?

So exactly how prevalent and powerful would these the Mi-Go be throughout space? Like how many planets and how far do their civilizations go? I'd rather that they not be like everywhere, especially since there may be someone else here who would also want a piece of space.

Name: Gemi
Species: Ooze
Sex and/or Gender: ??/Female
Age: 20
Student or Staff Member? Student first year

Appearance:
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide
Do to her nature Gemi can be a variety of shapes and sizes but she tends to prefer the shape of a curvy mostly humanoid female, in public she usually wares a variety of latex clothing. While she her self has no same of being naked she had noticed it makes some uncomfortable and it also helps with touching other people.

Personality: In general a bit naive, though not stupid she has only recently arrived at the university and she is eager to explore and learn everything she can find about the Academy but also about the other students. She occasionally has problems with notions like privacy or personal space though not maliciously so. She loves to touch and feel everything but at her core she is a bit lazy. There are few things she likes as much as lounging around in a hot pool, perhaps the exception being doing so with somebody interesting to play with.

Background:
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide
Gemi was created like a lot of her ooze sisters in deep cavers under the earth but just a bit of time after she had split from her parent mass she trickled into a strange little pool ware she found odd and interesting objects, an old crumbling leather bag filled with the strangest items bottles with things in them and bags with dust. At this time Gemi was barely sentient and the only thing she understood were hunger and a milk curiosity to get into things and put her self into small spaces and get at possibly interesting and nourishing things. Bottles cracked and bags popped and everything felt fuzzy and strange for a while and then Gemi started.. thinking.

The next little while in her life was confusing and complicated, she found that she had strange emotions she had never experienced and the rest of the slime colony no longer appealed to her, in fact she seemed unable to really merge with it and loose her self like she had faint memories of being able to do. In time she realized she had lost her home and for the first time ever she felt sad. She returned to the small cavern ware she was born for the second time, here she found other things somebody had lived here. There was primitive furniture and odd bits and peaces and leather bound books, she could not read at this time but some of them had pictures in them and one of the ones with a lot of pictures had a lot of two legged shapes doing all sorts of interesting things that to Gemis eyes looked like they were trying to merge but not having a lot of luck with it. But it was here from that slender book that she took her form, she had to work at it before she could manage it just right.

It was a long time later that she came across her first person who was not a picture and was alive, the woman was hurt to and she took her back to the small cave because she knew it was safe and there she took care of her as best as she knew. The woman, Anna came to and explained that she had a broken leg after she had calmed down and realized Gemi was not going to eat her. And Gemi because she understood that the other was scared and hurt reframed from doing all the touching and exploring she would have liked to do. Anna was the one who taught her the sounds that the surface world used and even the meaning of the squiggly lines on the pages. Eventually when she got better she talked Gemi into coming up with her, she lived there in a little cottage with Anna for a long time. But Anna had been old when she had fallen in the cave and knew she would not be there forever to tend Gemi so she had made preparations to make sure the slime girl could take care of her self. And so Gemi was off to the Academy.

Abilities:
- Amorphous form
- Limited mimicry (She can copy shapes and even textures but not color)
- A light to medium strong aphrodisiac (Its not mind altering effecting the body mostly)
Weaknesses:
- Strong emotions sometimes nudge her back to a more primal state of mind
Other Special Characteristics: There is a slightly luminescent fist size 'core' in her middle its as close to a sexually explicit spot as she has, though in general she enjoys touching a lot.

Preferences: Male/Female/other, Dominant or submissive (Strict demanding domi, loving sub but needs a firm hand)
Turn Ons/Likes: BDSM, Bondage (See the rest of my o/o)
Indifferences:
Turn Offs/Dislikes: Live Birth (See my o/o not a lot probably)
Permissions: Rule of thumb ask about anything major

Is there a way you can better balance out his abilities and weaknesses a little more, especially concerning his immortality and memory manipulation (the latter, in fact, sounds a little too much to even let him have)? Like...what about the dependency on blood that vampires usually have?

We speak here a vampire which is +6,000 years old, so naturally over that span of time he has very incredible amount of knowledge (makes sense). Besides cantrip magic he cannot do any magic at all (he can change his body but none his forms are powerful; mostly nocturnal animals and mist form). You may have noticed the most teachers have 'strong willpower' or 'resistance to mind affecting magic' so his eyes cannot warp their memories nor make them faint (he can faint only human mortals and only those with weak will) or give suggestions.

Most his 'mind powers' work mostly humans and weaker willed monsters (NPC's, none the PC monsters unless they consent for it). His memory change/wipe is for him to explain how he may had been 'born' to families and live life as a human (at surface anyways) to infiltrate the society. His so called 'mind reading' is not magic but cold reading which he has practiced centuries. He simply guess what people are thinking, it's hit or miss and it asks for him to interact with people (as mentioned it appears he is reading mind but this skill could be used by a human if they would live several thousand years like he does and is social).

What comes to his blood dependency I had forgot write it in as weakness for him. He can handle it daily by taking cloned blood or animal blood but because of his great age he must have once per day/night a single source of warm human (or some monster) blood sucked from living host equal to 1 liter. Meaning he either has to go hunt for his meal or either teacher or student volunteers (process does not kill them, 1 liter is borderline what most humans can handle) or else in next night he goes to blood frenzy and takes ten victims in his bloodlust.

Also if he is seriously injured as human form (or as vampire) he will get craving for living blood also. It always gives one night warning time for him to feed safely or next night no one is safe in the school. He has maintained this diet for centuries and there has been not accidents for very long time with him.

Foxfyr

Name:Tekvani (Tek to his friends)
Species: Kitsune (Three-Tailed)
Sex and/or Gender: Identifies as male, but shapeshifting allows him to change his sex should he feel so inclined.
Age: 193 (Age equivalent of 19)
Student or Staff Member? First-Year Student
Appearance:
Tekvani’s appearance can be a fluid thing as a result of his ability to shapeshift.  While it won’t go so far as to copy the appearance of another, at least not without several obvious flaws in the imitation, he is still able to easily shift between his true form and a human form; more exotic races takes more time and study to passably imitate.  It isn’t uncommon for him to adopt various aesthetic changes to his appearance, such as shifting hair, eye, or fur color, due to his more whimsical nature.

Personality: Tekvani has the sort of poker face that gamblers everywhere envy, which pairs perfectly with his ability to lie seamlessly. These traits lend themselves perfectly at passing the blame for his passion of misdirecting people and performing a myriad of practical jokes. Whereas stealing is a way to provide for his basic needs, mischief is his primary form of entertainment; he lives to see the reactions of his victims.

Tek’s actions are well calculated to be both efficient and flawlessly timed whenever possible, which does not lend itself well to impulsive decisions. Despite his lighthearted nature, it isn’t uncommon for him to get on the nerves of other people at times due do his skepticism, sarcastic comments, and foolish games. Despite whatever hostility he incurs from his friends, Tek is always willing to apologize or forgive and will remain unyieldingly loyal to them.

Background: While there are plenty of creatures who have not fared well over the past few centuries with the rise of technology and reason, Tek is not among them.  Much to the contrary, early in his life he had developed an obsession with modern technology and electronics.  Recognizing this affinity in her child, his mother regularly brought him interesting technological baubles.  More often than not, these things ended up in pieces that were sprawled across the earthen floor of their den in his attempts to understand their function and how they worked.

As Tekvani grew older and began wandering to the outskirts of civilization, the “pre-teen” kitsune was fascinated by all the things humans had made and how much more vibrant things were as compared to his forest home.  This only heightened his thirst for knowledge and understanding of these wondrous devices.  It wasn’t long before he learned the art of pick-pocketing so he could more easily acquire the things that captured his attention; something that only became easier over the several decades to follow as technology became more compact.

After a while, his mother became concerned with the amount of time Tek spent among the humans and how bold he was with his pilfering.  She knew that the only way to satiate his drive for knowledge was to give him a formal, modern-day education; which was something she could not do herself.  It only took a single attempt to try to enroll him in a human school for her to realize how far behind the times she had fallen.  The sort of systems put in place to track humans’ lives effectively served to bar Tek’s opportunities to blend in with human society in any official capacity.  From there, she sought options from her supernatural contacts and learned of a school that Tek could attend as himself rather than being disguised as a human.  Tekvani was ecstatic upon hearing this news, eagerly awaiting the first day of school and all the experiences it would lead to.

Abilities:
Shapeshifting – Tek is able to fluidly change his appearance between his human, anthro, and feral fox forms of either sex as well as anything found in nature (i.e. trees, rocks, water, or other people).
Illusions - To Tekvani, his illusions are reality. What he makes, for himself or for others, is as real as anything found or crafted in nature.  He can make animals and objects which can be difficult to distinguish from the real thing.
Foxfire - Tekvani can conjure minor bursts of lightning or fire, not enough to be a mortal threat in of itself, but just enough to get himself into heaps of trouble if not careful. He can also make small 'fox lanterns', by producing small balls of fire to float around them, and guide their way. This fire can be used as a weapon, or as a toy.
Teleportation - Tek is able to instantly disappear into a whisper of smoke and reappear elsewhere a short distance away that he could see. Doing this in rapid succession will quickly exhaust him.

Weaknesses:
Shifting Limitations - More exotic shapes or replicating another’s appearance takes more effort and are not without flaws until he becomes more familiar with the form, but they must be relatively close to his own size. This transformation does not give him the innate abilities of the form he has taken, and he is vulnerable to what can harm that form.
Illusion Limitations – The larger or more complex the object being created, the more prone it is to having flaws that distinguishes it as being an illusory object.  Additionally, anybody with a talent for magic will be able to detect an illusion simply by touching it and can dissolve it with only a minor effort.  The destruction of a kitsune's illusions in this manner can be a traumatic event to a kitsune, as their concept of reality gets destroyed.

Other Special Characteristics:
Hoshi No Tama – Tekvani is always wearing a chain necklace containing three seemingly ordinary pearls.  He makes it a point to divert all attention away from this personal possession and is extremely protective of it.  If pressed, he will explain that it is a precious family heirloom when in actuality they contain a significant portion of both his magical power and his soul.

Preferences: Switch, Submissive, Bi with a preference towards women.
Turn Ons/Likes: Leach & Collar, Assertive/Dominant partners, toys, and just about any sort of activity that would be pleasurable and fun.
Indifferences: Anal
Turn Offs/Dislikes: Mutilation, Pain, Humiliation, Toilet Play
Permissions: Restraining/Subduing (okay), Combat (ask)

Yeah, the knowledge thing would indeed make sense, as does the cold reading, so those are the least problematic of his bigger abilities. His shapeshifting I have no qualms with, either, especially since it's already kind of a vampire thing. As for the mind powers...in that case you've made, I guess I can let it slide then. Just try not to go overboard with them, even with NPCs.

Put what you wrote about his blood dependency and probably how well his mind powers work in his character form, though, and then I can approve you.

NEW APPLICATIONS

Loki Aesir: A troublemaker with no actual ill intent, eh? This could be interesting. Hopefully, though, the sooner he knows that teleporting is forbidden on university grounds, the better. Approved!
Far eyes: I'm...on the fence on this one. Let me get back to you on this because it's like 2:30am here when I posted this. Pending.

GM'S UPDATE (EDIT)

Oh yeah, and my three long shifts are over! Therefore, I should be on more often throughout most of the day until my next long shift next Thursday.

This weekend, hopefully, I can bring in one of my own characters and afterwards round up the characters we have here so far.
Apologies & Absences (Updated 8/7/15 - Outdated.)

Ons and Offs

Status: Gonna be a bit slow.

I usually work six days a week, at least two of them being long shifts lasting at least ten hours. I always have a long shift on Thursdays and usually Fridays.

Ok, edited those stuff in. Also edited my 'mind powers' so they specifically target only weak willed monsters or humans (strong willed beings either category can resist it).

So exactly how prevalent and powerful would these the Mi-Go be throughout space? Like how many planets and how far do their civilizations go? I'd rather that they not be like everywhere, especially since there may be someone else here who would also want a piece of space.

They're not extensive spacefaring conquerors or anything of the like, their home planet is in the local system and they have colonies on various moons throughout our star system and a few neighboring ones, but it's not as though they're going to blanket the galaxy in darkness any day now or anything.
