My alleigance was pledged to the Ruinous Powers decades ago, back in the era of the Realms of Chaos books. I have been accused of many things, but munchkinism has never been one of them. I got the 'win at all costs' mentality out of my system a decade and more ago  :)

Heh. When we played, way back when, Chaos was so unbalanced that they always won. I played Skaven, and always lost. Skaven had to have huge armies, so they could win by superior numbers. My teenage economy never could afford that many models, so my armies was always doomed to be crushed under the heels of the other armies. :)

I played Empire, Orcs and Vampire counts...
Was good fun.
I was an ass and made my Vampire counts army a cavalry-based Blood Dragon death machine:)

Heh. If you want insane, Realms of Chaos chaos. The only thing that could fight it was another Realms of Chaos chaos army. I still have fond memories of my Lord of Khorne (BS9) with his multi melta  ;D .. 3" blast template, S8 or 9 .. he was destroying entire units with a single shot. And since he was backed up by 5 dark elves (BS5) with heavy bolters, there wasn't a whole lot stood up to that  :D

Of course, you had the flip side to that, like another champion of Khorne who was 'rewarded' with the 'gift' Fear of Blood. He'd frenzy, run into combat, slaughter all round him, see the blood, scream like a little girl and faint. Plus my alcoholic dwarf wizard, and his 3 obesely fat dark elf assassion followers.

Fond memories indeed.

Anyone had trouble in the registration?
I gone trough all the steps but the login box is still grayed out and says 'login suspended to facilitate registration process' or something similar.

Heh. You must be tolerant to gnomes, I seem to recall two of them (identical at that) scoring big in the last election. :)

What browser do you use?

The sign in towards the top left of the front page is currently disabled. It even says so.

I just signed up using Firefox, as it didn't seem to like Opera.

How far can you get?

That should display a 5 character image, which you need to type in to start the subscription process. You fill in 2 or 3 pages of information, and run the dxdiag command to get your system specs, which you upload as part of it.

Once done, it should email a confermation mail to the address you've specified, and clicking the link in that will confirm your sign up.

The login to the left is for after you're signed up, but is presently disabled.

Well yes... I already did all those things today's morning.

My account is validated and ready.

But how do I actually sign in somewhere to try out the game?

We don't ... not yet at least.

My guess is the forum won't open for at least a few days, til they've dealt with the first batch of applications. Then they'll select people whose systems fit the specs they have in mind for testing, or possibly throw it open to everyone. A URL will be posted where we download the client, it takes ages due to the hundreds of people trying to download it at once, and then we'll get an email with instructions on account creation and so on.

Out of curiosity, you done any beta testing before? I was on City of Heros and City of Villians, and Dawn of War.
