I like they free a prisoner who becomes their mentor - although I think they barely escape and any attempt to fight back is quickly swatted off by the actual Generals. Perhaps the best friend of one of the group dies. I am really liking how this story goes. Although I do ask for the intro then can someone else be GM as I don't feel I could pull off this with justice.

I think it'd be neat if someone came to try and warn them. Maybe the characters see this ship coming down, crash landing maybe as its chased by these other world beings. Then we have the fight break out where the characters are just beat down and then maybe they gain access to the Morphing Grid. The myths and legends of the Constellations would make since for a game starting on Earth since it could be our myths and legends that the Grid is accessing and then manifesting ?

I am not to familiar with Onyx What series is it from? If we want to add a neutral power that controls where the Casino is on maybe we make a balancing act since the seat of power on that planet and since it is neutral has allowed Empyrean Villain to move in and set up shop. I think some diversity besides just human rangers might be a good fit for what we are looking for. Maybe different types of Morphers/Kyutama are brought together to  form a new mixed team to work together or do we want to just stick to one series?

Onyx was in several series.  It was the generic evil person planet.  Most often depicted as a desert with the tiny western town.  Basically, no law exists there.

How big shall we make the team I think we have more than six currently?

I know this was asked a while ago but I missed it.  I think that with rotating villains it may be easier to have the player of the villain have their ranger sit out.  We can try to come up with narrative reasons for this or for other instances where a ranger may not be in this "episode" for one reason or another.  Just to make it easier to write out some of these sessions.

There's so many routes for these monsters.  The casino manager, Pit Boss, various Dealers, Cashier, Guards, even the various performers.  Likewise, it could be villains tied to specific games as mentioned earlier in the thread.  Or, the villains tied to the cards.  There's a lot of ways to take it and we may need all the options we can get depending on how long this all goes.

So, you're thinking more a traditional type team like MMPR versus the likes of Lost Galaxy with the "chosen" people that got their powers through some other means?

Just trying to compile a list of people and interesting colors.  If I'm missing a color someone's claimed or if I put the wrong color next to your name let me know.  Also, who all is willing and interested to play as a villain in the rotating GM?  And what type of villain(s) would you be looking at?  Just to try to get stuff tracked and marked down. 

Also, is everyone good with using images from Kyuranger?  Or are some people going to want to just have individual images?

Honestly I think the villians in this sense are the players, not so much the actual casino. Sort of this intergalactic game of destruction between them where they compete to see who can take a planet or maybe even a Galaxy. The Casino and its mysterious manager might be seen as evil, but of course the manager does not see this. Instead chaos and chance are the true arbitrators here.

I am a fan of the seemingly random selection of champions. Right time, right place sort of thing.

So just to clarify what is the setting? I heard we may have crashlanded on the casino or somehow were brought there, but are we from a space station? Also I assume we're going with randoms, so a mixture of geniuses and normals?

Secondly, are we using Kyurangers or not? That is something we must decide or are we using our own Ranger Suits face claims?

Thirdly who wants to handle the intro as stated I struggle with those, but could easily be second GM afterward.

Fourthly what does the mentor HQ look like and what design are we using for Megazords - combined with what system will be using in fights and kaiju fights?

Lastly, shall I put up a profile skeleton now, since we seem to be getting close to our initial idea?

I would be cool with Using the Kyurangers.
I was not planning on joining the GM rotation. I could not handle doing a freeform power rangers as a GM and do so confidently
The zords and HQ I would need to think about and give more attention the a quick post on my lunch break would allow for.

I actually have no preference for any colour, so it might be better if I claim Red if no one else wants it.

Though, to be honest, I'm tempted to go with the Phoenix version and pretend he's the regular red ranger. :p

Also, just so it's on the record, I'm for using Kyurangers for Ranger Suit face claims.

The colors I usually look for the most are usually the one people go for the most.  Or, in the case of the kyuranger team, just look really weird and I'm not a fan of these specific colors this time around. So, I was also up in the air on taking Red if no one took it.  If not red then I'd probably go black or gold.

Mostly, but I think there's a few ground things that we're not quite there with which is fine. Just not sure I can start the game since my ideas would be the basis for the start. I think you're wanting like a space station and such and I'm in the mindset of more...start on Earth and progress space ward. So this is your game and I don't want to mess that up.

Yeah, if they're up for it.  But also, like Pumpkin said above, we aren't entirely all on the same page.  Not enough for a collaborative DM game.  I didn't even get a clear count of people that were interested in being a rotating DM.
