I am not sure what happened.

I started my computer and it ran as useual but at the desktop I realised my mouse wasn't working.  I use a Bamboo fun Tablet as I do a lot of art.  I thought maybe it was the USB so I unplugged it and replugged it.  then a box said the tablet drivers weren't working.

Ok weird but Maybe it was just a hiccup, so I restarted my computer thinking nothing of it

It lagged strangly and then when the desktop opened none of the files on my desktop Showed, the screen went black,  Then Blue  It happened very quickly so I don't know what the blue screen said but it restarted my computer by its self

at this I was prompted that windows had not shut down properly, so I opted to start it up in safe mode.  Everything loaded Ok but I went through, cleaned my temps, emptied my recycle bin, Got rid of some old Art files, I wasn't sure what to do honestly.  after that I restarted her,  This time she's booted ok

The mouse is working and I have it running a Virus scan. I tried looking up what happened But honestly I'm not sure what I'm looking for.  Any help would be greatly appriciated.  I can't help hoping it was just some softwere glitch that's worked itself out but I don't know ^^;

Please help if you can

You need to disable automatic reboot on system failure. What version of windows are you using?

If/when it happens again, write down the error code and post it here.

Actually I ran something called troubleshooting?  It popped up and showed me Lots of programs running on startup that are slowing it down, it is possible that all these unnessesary programs caused the problem?

I did disable the automatic restart though

I think I got it.  Apparently firefox, which I thought i uninstalled a couple years ago was still on my computer and still installing updates it and the update thing where running at startup and accordng to the preformance report that was really badly effecting start up I think?

Unnecessary programs should never cause a blue screen since Windows 7.

Do you have an error code?

I found some errors in the event viewer said error 100, 101, and 200 each one was labeled Critical.  When I looked the codes up it said that it meant there where to many things running at stat up.  Unless I misunderstood

I know it's booting faster now since getting rid of firefox, and stopping all the adobe programs from running on startup (I never knew they did that 0o)

I do run windows 7 though I'm sorry I forgot to say

No, it'll be a code like 0xc0000005 or something similar.

It's much more reliable if you turn off automatic rebooting as I mentioned in the previous post.

MissRoziel

Oh I did but it hasn't happened again which is why I think I fixed it :) *knock on wood* of course I could be wrong But if it happens again I'll be sure to write it down
