Thank you for taking the time to review this thread. This thread is created to be based around a werewolf pack the Lune de Sang. As people show interest and pack slots are filled we will get down to the plot. Please be aware that there will be darker elements to this group roleplay. I intend for their to be twists and turns, pack members kidnapped, pack wars with NPC packs, and challenges for higher ranks within the pack. I want everyone to feel a part of the story which means that the story does not just solely focus on one wolf, but all of the wolves. Please read below for more information about the pack structure, ranks to be filled, and general pack information. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to PM or post your interest below.

Ulfric: Alpha of the Pack

Lupa: Mate to the Ulfric. Female Alpha to the Pack.

Freki: Ulfric's second in command. Will lead in the Ulfric and Lupa's absence.

Geri: Third in command to the Ulfric. Answers to the Freki.

Skoll: Primary enforcer of the Ulfric. Skoll and Haiti responsibility is to protect the Ulfric and the pack.

Hati: Secondary enforcer to the Ulfric. Answers to the Skoll.

Heimdall: Enforcers who guard and protect pack members. These enforcers answer to the Skoll and Hati.

Bolverk: The Bolverk handles the darker side of pack business. Such as interrogations, silently removing threats to the pack, can also handle pack member executions.

Baugi, Suttung, and Gunnlod: All answer to the Bolverk. Assist in pack matters of interrogation, and handling threats to the pack.

Eranthe and Eros: Eranthe and Eros are a male and female pack member who assist and aid those who are newly bitten, or are just transferred into the pack. They are considered mentors and teachers.

Vargamor: Pack Healer. When a pack mate is injured during a fight or else wise the pack healer has the ability to heal injuries. However she/he can only do so much especially for larger wounds or multiple pack members needing healed before they are drained. They will often heal major wounds if there are multiple pack mates needing healed so they can help more than one pack mate.

Seer: A seer is one born with the gift of sight. Although they can have visions about the pack or pack members, on coming threats, they cannot have visions for themselves. Some seers are distrusted by wolves for using their gift to lie, to make others believe things that are untrue. Seers are also empaths. They can feel the emotions of those around them to the point that strong negative emotions can physically hurt if the Seer is touched by that person.

For right now those interested can state their interest in a pack rank, or just being a pack member. At this time until I know how many are interested in playing you can only apply for one pack rank.. If pack ranks are not filled I will let everyone know that they can apply for a second pack position. I do not mind if you make more than one character to be a pack member. I will list when a pack rank is taken.

(Be aware, just because a ranking position is filled does not mean that a pack member cannot challenge a ranking pack member for their position.)

Darren Thomas had ruled over the Lune de Sang pack for nearly two decades before he was challenged and defeated. He had not always been considered the bastard that he turned out to be, the first half of his time as Ulfric he seemed different. Caring, his mate a balance to the more forceful side of the Ulfric, but when she died things drastically changed. He became darker, violent, and it was as if the loss of his mate had taken a piece of his soul and damned the other half. His last decade was ruled in tyranny. Most of the wolves feared his wrath to challenge him. He forced his wolves to fight in illegal underground fighting rings against wolves from other packs, or other shifters altogether. Many of those fights were to the death and the wolves ended up badly injured but Darren never seemed to care. Where an Ulfric was supposed to lead and protect his pack he ruled by fear and the knowledge that if a wolf failed to succeed in their challenge against him he would show no mercy and make an example of them to the rest of the pack.The Lune de Sang pack acquired a dark reputation for their ruthlessness. Alliances were made out of fear of their Ulfric and the thought that to be allies was better than to be enemies this allowed Darren to get away with far more than the Council should have ever allowed.

Grayson Dubois had come into the pack at the age of 14. The only thing known about him was that he defeated his father in the Amber Bloods pack and been banished shortly after, though no one knew why. He was taken in to the Lune de Sang pack by his Aunt and the grace of Darren's mate. It was during that first decade of Darren's rule that he had worked his way up to being the Skoll of the pack, and he got to see first hand as Darren changed. There had been rumors of psychosis, that the loss of Darren's mate had turned him violent and on edge. It wasn't until Grayson's aunt had refused to participate in one of the fights and was to be punished by the Bolverk that Grayson stepped up to challenge Darren. In the end, it had been a fight to the death. Darren had refused to submit and step down. Grayson had ripped out his throat. Those loyal to Darren, who reveled in the blood shed that Darren provided left the pack. And for the next five years Grayson had spent time rebuilding the pack in an attempt to make it whole again. Though some of the mental and physical damage Darren had caused to pack members could not be undone and would be left a burned memory.

Grayson moved the pack to a new territory settled just outside of Seattle. He'd purchased land where a hunting lodge and guest lodges had been. The place was secluded enough that the wolves could go on pack runs without prying eyes, could hunt, and live the lives away from those who pushed and prodded at Grayson to turn the pack back towards its old ways. Unfortunately with Darren being defeated there were those who were once allies that pulled back, and those who had once been terrorized by the Lune de Sang that sought revenge for their packs, despite their being a new Ulfric. It was something that the Lune de Sang wolves all had to be wary of.

Pack Residence: Seattle, Washington. 240 acres of old hunting territory. Land purchased by Grayson and the pack moved a year after Darren's defeat. Members of the pack have guest lodges on the property.

Pack Members: Some pack members left after Darren's defeat. Some stayed and over the past few years of Grayson's time as Ulfric he has taken in wolves that needed sanctuary from their old packs.

Aging of Wolves: Wolves age 1 year for every 7. This begins once a born wolf has reached full maturity. For those bitten the process is much the same. If your character was bitten incredibly young, once the human form reaches maturity it will being to slow in aging process. An example would be a wolf born who is 30 in human years, likely reached full maturity at 19 which makes the wolf roughly 96. You do not have to put specific ages in your profile. This is just for reference. Just put the age your wolf appears to be.

Human Knowledge: This world has knowledge of shifters. Currently they are considered a minority the humans not truly knowing just how many packs there are. Under agreement with the human government wolves are left mostly to govern themselves as long as they abide by the Wolf Councils rules. There are human extremists who take great displeasure in the wolves or any shifter race and think they are abominations. These groups have often moved to have the human government lock up the shifter race but so far have not prevailed.

Other Species: There are witches, other shifter species, and vampires. The witches and the vampires tend to keep their races in the dark and thus far the humans are less aware of their existence. That does not mean that this will not change in the future of play. Currently the only species allowed at the moment to play is wolves. This can change as play progresses depending on where it goes.

Strengths: Speed, Strength, Hearing, Healing, Smell

Weaknesses: Silver, Wolfsbane. When in a fight although a wolf may have accelerated healing the amount of damage can prolong the healing and leave scars.

Dominant Wolves: If one is a dominant wolf they are assertive, they do not like to show their weakness and will likely only submit if a wolf is of a higher rank, or if a more dominant wolf defeats them in a challenge.

Submissive Wolves: Just because a wolf is submissive does not mean they are weak. in fact they can be quite feisty. Just because the wolf is submissive dose not quite mean the human will be. However submissive wolves cannot take pack positions because they do not have the dominance level to keep the position and will be constantly challenged. Although a submissive wolf may be strong willed, dominant wolves are physically stronger, and their dominant vibes can force a wolf into submission. Submissive wolves often make up for their submissive status by doing other things within the pack. It is not bad to be a submissive wolf as they help bring a balance to the dominant wolves.

Mates: When it comes to mating wolves have the ability to imprint on one another to being the mating process and form a bond. All wolves have true mates. It is rare that they ever find their true mate, but when they do the pull to one another is magnetic. The need to be with them, to touch them, be inside them, possess them. They have overwhelming urges of protectiveness. Some wolves in he thought they will never find their true mate will imprint on another wolf and begin the mating process. In these situations if the true mate is later found sometimes a wolf will leave his mate to be with his true mate because the bond is so strong. In other situations they will stay with the the wolf they have mated, but there will always be that longing for their true mate.

When two wolves are mated and their mate dies it can be devastating for the mate. Even to the point that the surviving mate dies from the loss.

Mating Process: Wolves will place a claiming mark on their mates, usually done at that neck where it can be visible to other wolves that they have been claimed. This is not done lightly. Some wolves were deliver 'brands' bite marks, scratches, things to show possession of the wolf they are in a relationship with. But the claiming mark is deeper, something that breaks the skin and scars, to show permanent possession over the wolf. When the mating process starts to fully form the wolves scents will mix to become one, and in the final stage they will have formed a bond, being able to feel the other a connection of emotions, they will be tied together.

Newly Bitten Wolves: When a human has been freshly bitten the will make their first change on the night of the next full moon. So if the full moon is three days from the time of being bitten, it will be the following full moon. The human will go through feelings of having the flu, fever, vomiting, body aches, as the body begins to change. They will be more easily angered. Flashes of inhuman strength. They can be overwhelmed with waves of noise where suddenly every sound is amplified. There sense of smell will heighten. All of these things happening in brief moments, and for some they will think they are on the brink of insanity if they have no clue what is going on.

Newly bitten wolves need guidance on their first change, a dominant wolf needs to be with them or they can lose control and become violent and kill someone. New bites are subject to changing at random in a situation becomes to stressful. If they get incredibly angry, fearful, and even in times of lust. This is why they have the Eros and Eranthe to help them through their first few months of change.

Challenges for Rank or Dominance: Challenges can be carried out in human or in wolf form. When a wolf challenges another wolf it also means only those two can fight. If there is interference by other wolves it can make the challenged or the challenger look weak as if they can't finish the challenge on their own. Challenges do not have to be fought to the the death, if the wolf submits then the fight is over. If a wolf refuses to submit then it goes to the death.

Once pack characters start being developed please feel free to come up with character history's among each other. As this is a pack I would expect some pack members to have a well developed friendship, things that have happened over time to help them bond. Some of you may even want to develop characters that are true mates. I would prefer that though a history be set up between characters that you wait until you have decided how your character came to be in the pack. Were they born into it? Were they bitten and found? Who found them? I always encourage strong character development and I'm happy to help come up with some ideas if you need. Once you have a character thought up please set up a character profile with the set up listed below and PM it to me so I can add it to the thread.

Personality:  Insouciant is what Frieda may come off to others.  Carefree,  nonchalant worry free can do attitude.   Of course such is farthest from the truth.   Like many of the others she has her concerns worries and past ghosts.    Being on her own for three years.  It has helped her develop a resiliency in emotional toughness.    Like others she has the same fears of losing it.   Her strength is hiding those fears.  Not letting them rule her.   Instead ruling those fears by tackling them head on.    Some had been more harder to get past.   Others quite easy to overcome.    Still behind that moxy of confident self assurance is a vulnerability.   Some might call it daddy issues,  since she grew up fatherless.  But if her heart is taken, could very well fall hard for one that would be her mate.   Leaving her vulnerable in ways she could never have imagined.     

History:  Frieda grew up pretty much a mundane.   For her father had been a werewolf, his name was Jake.   Last name her mother at the time never learned.   Who at time was going to the University of Texas exchange student from Sweden,  Helga Bjorn.     Helga working  a local diner had a one night stand with Jake.   One that she would never forget for two reasons.  His prowess in bed and the result ended up her becoming pregnant with  Frieda.     For a first sixteen years of Frieda life  she was just a regular everyday run of the mill mundane human.     Her father's gift, the werewolf heritage would not manifest until she was sixteen years of age.   Needless to say it did not go well.  She nearly killed a star football player on her high school team.   In a bonfire out in the woods with kegs of beer party.   For the change had been sudden and without warning.    She had no one to tell her or help her control the inner wolf side of her.   Let out in that pivotal moment, it craved freedom and it too was like a new born.   When the star football player Tommy Crenshaw had come looking for her.   They had been flirting back and forth throughout the night.   She had turned on the full moon, just a week after her sixteen birthday.   She mauled and bit Tommy pretty good.   If it weren't for others.  She would have killed him.   She maimed him good by taken a large chunk of his right calf out.   

Hours after the attack she woke up naked in a field some miles from the big bonfire gathering.    Blood on her and a feint recollection of what had happen.    It was hard to disbelieve she had turned into a freaking wolf.   Of course her thoughts ran to had she been bitten.   She could fathom such.  Yet could not recall being bitten.  She cut across the fields to get home.    Luckily she and her mother lived in a trailer park outside of town.    Her mother worked the Waffle House on the over night shift.   The sun is up now when she arrives to the trailer.   Her mother would be home in twenty minutes or so.    Frieda made it into the trailer the side door near the bedrooms was easy to pop open.  The lock never worked right.   She wash off the blood in the bathroom and toss on a tank top and sweat pants.    She head to the other end of the single wide trailer to the kitchen was.    She notice the phone and answering machine was blinking with messages.    She is about to go and check the messages.   When she realizes her phone is with her clothes and where were her clothes.    When she espy out of the kitchen window a county sheriff car pulling into the trailer park and coming towards her trailer.   

Panic hits her,  she killed Tommy,  it still a haze what had happen.  They know she is a monster.   Panic sets in rushing to her room she would stuff some clothing in a pillow case she pull off one of her pillows. She then go into her mothers room and take the money she kept hidden.  Three hundred dollars.   An as the sheriff car is coming to a stop she dashes out the other side through her mom's bedroom window.   

For the next three years as a runaway.    Frieda drifted from place to place.  Taking odd jobs,  mostly as waitress in diners.    She continued to change, and soon learn she could change on her own without the full moon.    A pack less werewolf who craved finding a pack.    However, fear of what she had done to Tommy would happen again if she got close to anyone.     Then one night while working at a diner a stranger would come in.   His scent was different then others.   It did not smell like a human's scent.    It is the freki of the pack she would join.    The freki would recognize she is a werewolf, smelling her wolf.   

Its been six years since the freki found her and life in the pack has been good.   She realizes her father was a werewolf.   An she hopes that one day she will find him or hear of his whereabouts.    Jake is all she has to go.   She has not seen her mother in the nine years since she ran away.   She has taken a active role to help those that are like her when she had first come to the pack as a pack less werewolf.   Or one that is bitten as she learns indeed one can be bitten and turned into a werewolf also.    Of course all those years worrying about if she killed Tommy or not.   When he had likely been turned when she had bitten him.   

Position:  The Eranthes of the pack,   Teaching those newly turned to control themselves.  Especially during lustful situations.  Teaching them controlling the beast side of their duality nature.

Those are great questions. So I'll elaborate on the thread layer today newly bitten behavior.

A newly bitten us going to have waves of where their hearing improves dramatically. Almost to the point of unbearable. They'll have waves where scents can become over powering. Smelling nervousness, fear, the light swear from the woman jogging down the street. They will be easily angered. Have bouts of aggression and maybe break thingo because they are gaining shifter Strength.

As for the shift it will happen at the full moon. A wolf without a guide can do terrible things. Because the human a wolf halves won't have found that balance yet. So in wolf form without a domining wolf to calm them.

I have no problem,  think its a great idea.   Helps us to establish links and relationships within the pack dynamic.   

As I also is  tied to a soon to be player character or whoever it be that takes the position of freki.    He or she,  I can be tied to or simply say it was the former freki of the pack.   As per my own background.
