Thank you for stopping by, I'm Desert Flower!

So I'm back from a much needed hiatus and, with a new four on, four off shift pattern at my company, I have more time to dedicate to my writing! Before I divulge, might I just add, if there is anything here that you are interested in then please let it be known in my Personal Messages rather than in the forum as I aim to keep it quite neat and tidy. If you don't find anything that takes your interest but have an idea that you would like to play out with me, feel free to shoot an enquiry my way all the same.

I implore you to read my On's and Off's page attached in my signature if you're interested in writing with me as it tells you pretty much all you need to know but I'll recap a few points here just so you can get an idea of how I roll.

- All of my requests are MxF with me writing as the female character. I love to write with any and all that feel comfortable writing as an M character whether you're a Lord, Lady or Liege, you have always got a safe space with me.

- I write at length, I by no means need a novella but I am not a fan of short responses, if I put the effort in, I would hope my partner would reciprocate in the same manner. There is nothing more disheartening than posting a few paragraphs only to get three sentences back, especially when there is so much that could be said though I of course understand that at certain points there are times where the response calls for shorter posts.

- I would also like for my writing partner to be descriptive and able to write in great detail as I endeavour to do so myself in every post. Correct use of punctuation and grammar is called for! Rest assured though, I am by no means a member of the grammar police.

- I'm not needy but after a month if you haven't responded to our collaboration nor messaged to tell me otherwise I will presume you are no longer interested and drop the roleplay. I think that's only fair. A simple "I'm no longer interested" allows us to perhaps find an alternative or keep open a line of communication for further writing projects together in the future. I will however not be mad if you disappear but understand that I might not want to jump back into another RP with you anytime soon after.

- Erotic scenes are wonderful but I care more for great story, plot and character development. I'm not adverse to plenty of said scenes but feel that there needs to be a reason behind them. I don't want to write porn with a storyline. I want to write a story with added erotica.

- Lastly before I start to whittle on, I am open to forum and PM, nothing else. I have tried to RP in IM and found it too limiting.

Undercover Passion

He's the Boss of New York's most notorious crime family. She's an undercover officer who has managed to infiltrate and get close to him. Her mission was going well until he saves her life and in turn steals her heart...

This is a tale with a great deal of tension, conflicted feelings and an internal battle against what she knows is right and wrong. She's playing with fire, we just get to decide how badly she gets burnt. Does she stay true to her mission and double cross him? Does she fall too deep into the lifestyle and, in turn, for him? Will she turn her back on the force and her previously high-held moral code? What will he do when he finds out who she truly is? Let's decide together.

The Diamond

She is the sole daughter of the well-connected, old-money Hemming dynasty, with her father having passed the year prior her brother is now the Viscount and in charge of guiding her through the season, ensuring her success; a worrying thought indeed given his many distractions, hard liquour being his favoured pastime. The family are well-placed with royal connections and a grand wisteria-covered estate nestled in the heart of the social scene. She is also the last hope for her family whose finances have dwindled after a number of bad investments and the Viscount's penchent for gambling. She cannot afford to fail and all they have has been put toward securing her a match. Becoming the Diamond of the season and marrying well could preserve their good name and ensure a return of good fortune. Can her family maintain apperances and avoid scandal but more importantly can she?

So like many, I've been caught up in the Bridgerton bubble. I have a special love for writing characters who defy social proprierty, hold encounters in risque environments and I crave a good few will they-won't moments, with hungry eyes connecting across a crowded room where both characters want nothing more than to rip one another's clothes off and yet must keep the charade of decorum amongst the ever-watching, critical eye of the ton. Your character I will leave up to you. Perhaps he is of title, pressured to secure a match. Perhaps he is a rake who enjoys the chase and challenge of pursuing debutantes though never before having been serious about any of them. We can brainstorm together. Rest assured, I do intend for there to be plenty of steamy scenes but please note that it won't be instantaneous, with the backdrop of high society, our characters are going to have to be creative in finding ways to meet, unchaperoned, away from prying eyes.

The Alpha

She's been a lone wolf her whole life, abandoned as a child and raised in the system, she underwent her change alone and has lived with who she is with no answer or guidance. She's finally traced her roots back to a large manor, set apart from society. The rural compound is home to a pack, a pack who is now headed by your character. The Alpha. She went to find out who she is but finds so much more within the gilded walls.

I really really want to write a wolfish tale, I want raw, animalistic lust. I want this to be a very smut-filled tale. They imprint upon one another but there are complications. Perhaps he's betrothed to another, or pack politics makes her an unsuitable match, whatever it is the pair are meant to be together and they and their wolves fiercely want only to be with one another. Can they make it, and will he help her uncover who she is? If so, will she like what she finds?

Stand by me
He was sent away for a crime he didn't commit, she was his high school sweetheart. Both devastated by their unfair separation. Many years passed, after years of faithfully waiting, letter-writing and monthly visits, she's now seemingly moved on; engaged and living a charmed life; following the path that was meant to be theirs to take together. He's just been released early after winning his appeal and has nothing and no-one to fall back on, but one thing is clear, he can't get her out of his mind and she feels the same. When they're reunited, the sparks reignite and when she tells him they can't be together he knows that she's just as in pain as he is and that there's something still there. Can he turn things around for himself and win her back? Can time heal old wounds? Or have they missed their chance?

Based in a modern setting, this tale is for someone that is willing to write a down and out guy, in love with a girl that is slipping from his grip. They can't keep from one another and I see an illicit, passion-fuelled affair for them both. But this won't be enough for him. He can't stand to share her. What he chooses to do to get her back is up to you, but that's his mission and one of which I'd love to write with a dedicated partner.

Just Between Us
She is the daughter of an Italian mob boss, he's her newest personal security guard. Nothing is allowed to happen between them but after a night spent holed up alone together at a safehouse after a security breach sees her safety jeopardised, the two can't deny their feelings for one another. Now it's a dangerous game of keeping what they're doing secret, but can that be enough for them? And what are the consequences if they're found out?

So this is tale that I envision having many steamy behind closed doors encounters with near misses aplenty which of course can only add to the tension. Can they ever be more than secret lovers? Or can he prove himself worthy of her? We can decide together.

Three's a Crowd*New
Three unlikely friends who have been close since childhood, even when life has pulled them all in very different directions, one holiday at a rented cabin or cottage with enough alcohol to sink a ship. What could be better? She's blissfully happy to finally be able to spend some quality time with her two favourite guys, the only trouble is, they're both in love with her and the holiday isn't going to be as stress-free as they had all hoped...

So I'm a sucker for a love triangle and the beautiful mess that such a dynamic creates. This could be either a short or long-term story. I'm looking for someone who is comfortable writing as the two male characters, or alternatively, writes for one of the male characters and shares the writing for the other with myself. In such close quarters, feelings will rise to the surface leaving all three to question themselves and their hearts. Does she choose? Who does she choose? Maybe she chooses both? (I'm down for a poly outcome) I'd love to brainstorm ideas. I suppose this would be more slice of life, but I do definitely want intimate scenes, will-they won't-they moments and a boatload of tension, let's figure it out together where we weave them in. If this particular scenario doesn't appeal but you're interested in a love triangle dynamic, shoot over a message all the same!

They were childhood best friends turned sweethearts, rallying together and weathering tumultuous home lives. He was a talented musician and it doesn't surprise her when good fortune favours him and he is discovered whilst playing at a local venue. The road and stardom beckons the teenager and he answers the call, promising to return for her. A night of passion before he hits the road culminates in a pregnancy, a pregnancy she only discovers after he's already left. Despite her best efforts to get in touch, her communications go unread or returned so she raises their child in her humble home town whilst watching from afar as his star grows, as does the distance between him and his former home. Seven years have now passed, no longer a teenager with a dream, he's an icon. Life should be good for the musician; his upcoming tour has sold out, he has money, fame and admiration in abundance and yet he's still missing her, missing his home town girl. Former attempts over the years to reach out having failed, with a break in his schedule, he makes the bold decision to head to his hometown incognito to see just what became of her, not expecting what he finds when he does...

So this is a scenario I started to play out a few years ago before I had heard of the book and film 'Forever my Girl' but if any of you have watched/read it then I'm sure you'll note the similarities. I would love to work on this with someone looking to journey down a rocky path with imperfect characters who now need to relearn each other, what they want and how, together, they're going to navigate the road ahead.
