The 7 Artifacts (D&D 3.5 ... ish)

I am looking to GM a D&D type game. I'm not really familiar enough with the rules to be strict, but it will be loosely based on 3.5.

Basic starting rules: 7th level and 1400 gp. Stats- 4d6 drop the lowest for each basic stat, one free re-roll for lowest stat. Plus one extra, for reasons to be explained later.

I already have a plot in mind, and am slightly impatient. The games I've expressed interest in are staying in the interest phase, so I plan on getting this going once I get at least two people interested. More can be introduced during the course of events, if interest warrants.

Jefepato

Might be interested.  How "loosely" based are we talking about?  What kind of plot is it, and what sort of characters are appropriate?

BigBuckBob

I'd say it can be as loose as the players decide. But mostly I mean, I'll be using 3.5 as a basis, but if I mess up or think a particular rule doesn't fit my style, then I'll alter slightly.

I'm willing to say any character will fit, unless someone finds a way to make me regret it.

The plot is a basic quest for magical artifacts. Each artifact will have it's own back story, powers, and guardian. There is no final enemy to face, no reason other then glory to collect them, at least nothing the characters know about. After discovering the first artifact it will revealed to be part of a legendary warrior's equipment, that he was buried in.

Also, if the players are interested in adding a sexual element, I can work it in. Just give an opinion and limits.

If you're willing to really help me out here, I at least know the combat of 3.5, I'm trying to read through all the basics right now, although I wouldn't know the stat's for level seven.
If you're searching the lines for a point, well you've probably missed it; there was never anything there in the first place.

I assume you'd prefer non-evil characters?

I've been using this http://www.pathguy.com/cg35.htm character generator to work out stats and the like.
You can use the auto roller, or use real dice and then force a change.

And I'll say it here in case people don't see the change in the first post: Roll one extra base stat, to be named later.

Jef, I'll discuss this off screen.

Will we be sticking to mainly core material, or can other books be used?

BigBuckBob

Other books can be used, but my resources are limited. Let me know what it is, so I can make sure I have access.

If you're searching the lines for a point, well you've probably missed it; there was never anything there in the first place.

Looks good to me. Just  one more roll. 3d6 [or 4d6 drop the lowest. Either way]

What's this for?
If you're searching the lines for a point, well you've probably missed it; there was never anything there in the first place.

BigBuckBob

It's an obedience check.

Or it has something to do with a plot point, and you don't get to know yet.

Okay so do I send it to you?

Post it or send it, it'll end up in the same place.

Once you do, and Jefepato gets his character set... or if someone new posts and gets a character set, I'll start.

As I said, waiting for a second player.

I got sick shortly after deciding to do this, so my focus is a bit off. But next time I get on here long enough for coherent thought, I'll start regardless, if you don't mind a single player game.

While I've got you here could you give my character sheet the look over. It's my first one and I don't want things to get unbalanced.

Well I just used that generator and I've got mine. It should be in the 3.5 format. Sorry I'm being stupid ;D

Say what now?

I mean, should we roll for HP in the usual fashion?  (I ask because I can't remember the last DM that didn't have some sort of houserule for HD.)

Evidently you did, though, so I will until further notice.
