Oh ok, thank you, everyone! :-)

Yay Nicholas! Now I have a customer. :-)

Make that two Kymbr would just love some yoga lessons.

Lyron

I am also open for some plotting or connections for either of my characters.

Just throwing this out there for anyone potentially interested, I have both of my characters approved and open for just about anything.  Friendship.  Enemies.  Past connections.  Future romances.  Relations.  Etc.  I've got Lucy, my forty year old lesbian lawyer who is starting a new chapter in her life, as well as Michelle, my mid-twenties transgender woman who is just living life and finally beginning to look forward to settling down.  Both of them are pretty much up for and open to just about anything.
I'll look through your character sheets again in a few and PM you if I can think of anything. :-)

GnothiSeuton, if your Lucy wants a twenty two year old yoga instructor, for a friend? Or romancing? Please let me know. :-)

I'm definitely up for at least friends, or a student in her yoga studio, and seeing where things go!

Is the lawyer a defense attorney or a prosecutor? If she's either of those things she might know my detective in passing.

As for the yoga instructor, PJ will come to a class when she can. She's all about the fitness.

And Leash loves her for it ;D

Srsly, Aleasha might show up for a class or two, as well.
Instead of obsessing on the person you want to be, focus on who you DON'T want to be. It's much easier to not do certain things than to break your head on some ideal of yourself.

When the dust settles, you may find out you've become who you were supposed to be all along.

Dmitri would likely check out the yoga classes, for a couple of reasons. One he is into the fitness aspect and two he just seeing fit bodies (non gender specific) in those skin tight flexible outfits.

Lyron

A Plot/Roleplay Discussion thread has been created (link should be available in all the other threads for this RP). As much as I like keeping this thread active, let's move roleplay discussions, for characters who have been approved, to that one. Thanks! :-)

And Brad might also be a part of the Yoga classes. Not sure yet.

And yes Chrystal, maybe my character gives massages, too! :-)

I think your character, Alejándro, is looking for a personal trainer right? Someone could totally play that part if they wanted to.

Nico

Well yes, I was asking if NPC's would be fine, since he already would have a personal trainer/nutritionist. Can't be just anyone, after all. ~chuckles~ Would probably be someone from his entourage. :P His agent, Diego, would make use of the personal trainer as well.

On the other hand - hiring someone new could be a good plot hook.

But, yes, that would at least be an option for a character profession. ~nodnod~

Nico

The group still needs some more male characters! Come on, folks!  XD

Danielle "Dani" Justice

Basics

Nicknames: Dani, Flash, Drops
Sex: Gender Queer/Non-binary (Physically female)
Age: 26
Birthday: February 3rd, 1991
Race/Ethnicity: Caucasian
Sexual Orientation: Omnisexual
Occupation: Photographer
Residence: The Kensington - Room 2505

Appearance

Hair Color: Dark Brown
Eye Color: Blue
Height: 5'7"
Distinguishing Marks: Multiple tattoos and ear piercings, and tongue piercing.
Other Details:

Personality

Traits:
Laid-Back - Dani hardly ever takes anything seriously, and never lets things stress her out.
Charismatic - The girl's got charm pouring out of her ears, and she doesn't have to try for it, it's just natural.
Confident - Dani doesn't give a shit what anyone thinks, she knows who she is and she likes herself.
Generous - If she's got it and someone needs it, she has no problem giving it away.  Whatever 'it' might be.
Empathetic - Growing up different has made her quite good at putting herself in other people's shoes, and feeling what they feel.
Intelligent - She may not understand theoretical physics, but she's whip smart and asks the right questions, which makes her good at learning about things she doesn't understand and swiftly picking up that which she learns.
Unguarded - Dani doesn't hold anything of herself back from the people she trusts.  She's completely honest about herself, and open with her life, unashamed.
Slow to Anger - It takes a lot to push Dani's buttons, and most of the things that might anger other people just roll off her back.  Insults directed at her will typically be met with a laugh, or an agreement.  However, she will step to defend others without hesitation and preying on the weak and defenseless is the quickest way to get her angry.
Not Averse to Violence - When Dani gets angry, she tries to handle things reasonably, but she's not opposed to stepping in and using her fists, or any other part of her body, to get her point across.  She enjoys the physicality of a bare-knuckle brawl, and it shows.
A Little Crazy - That taste for violence, her unconventional methods of communicating her emotions at times, and her seeming lack of self-interest or fear when it comes to defending perfect strangers against those who would harm them, all indicate a slight insanity on her part.  She likes to think it adds to her charm, which might be true until you see her standing on top of a car driving sixty miles an hour on a dirt road, with her arms stretched out at her sides and a huge grin on her face.  Then?  Well, then she just seems to be taunting death.
Messy - She hates to clean.  Depending on when the maid's last been in, a trip to her apartment will reveal clothes strewn about, dishes in the sink, crumpled papers on the floor and crumbs on the coffee table.  She's messy, but she's not filthy, so there's no old food around or anything.

Biography

Dani was seven years old when she told her parents she wanted to be a boy.  Her parents decided that she was suffering from some sort of trauma as a result of being an only child, and sent her to a child psychologist.  The psychologist saw her three times a week, an hour a session, at $200/hour.  He pretended to listen if Dani talked, but she figured out pretty quickly that he wasn't paying attention to her and didn't give a damn about what she was going through.  He was perfectly happy if she sat there for an hour and said nothing, or napped, or spent her time coloring at the table in the middle of the room.  So, that's what she did.

She stopped expressing her desire to be a boy, and her parents assumed that meant the therapy was working.  They congratulated themselves for navigating such a tricky parental hurdle with aplomb, and rewarded themselves with a month-long trip to Monte Carlo, leaving their daughter behind in the care of her nanny.  Julia, Dani's nanny, was far more understanding of the girl's situation and she became Dani's confidant.  It was Julia who helped Dani understand that there was nothing wrong with her, that a lot of people don't fit into the boxes that society has set up for its self, and that she shouldn't feel bad because she wasn't one or the other.  Julia helped Dani to explore the non-binary truth about herself, and explained to her that keeping the truth to herself wasn't about shame, but about protection.  She had to keep it a secret until she could protect herself from other people's ignorance, but once she could do that, then she would never have to hide it again.

When Dani was seventeen, she fell in love with a girl at her exclusive private school.  She invited her over for a sleep-over, and over the course of the night, she lost her virginity and gained a girlfriend.  She knew that the other girl wasn't like her, but it didn't matter to her.  Rebecca was beautiful, smart, and she didn't give a damn what anyone else thought about her.  She gave Dani the confidence to finally be honest about herself for the first time since her parents had sent her to see the psychologist.  It felt good, and even Dani's parents couldn't frighten her or force her to hide again.  So, her father kicked her out and cut her off.

Dani ended up moving in with Julia, who hadn't worked for the family for about three years, once Dani's parents had decided she was too old to need a nanny.  Julia was happy to take her in, and Dani finished out the school year at her private school, since it had already been paid for.  Her parents didn't attend her graduation, or see her kiss Rebecca after she accepted her degree.  They had completely cut her out of their lives, and Dani couldn't tell much of a difference.  Her parents had never spent much time with her anyhow, and she was much happier living with Julia.  The only difficulty came from the drastic difference in means, which required Dani to get a job if she wanted to attend college.  She'd gotten a partial scholarship, but she took a job working on cars to make up the difference.

She'd spent a lot of time in her parent's impressive garage, watching their chauffeur maintain their fleet of vehicles.  Eventually, she'd begun helping him, learning from him and acquiring a bankable skill that would have seemed useless to her parents.  But, after they cut her off, that skill came in very handy.  She worked at the garage for four years, putting herself through art school and getting her degree in photography, which led to launching her career taking pictures of cars, then people.  Now, she works as a fashion photographer and artist, the commercial work funding her luxurious lifestyle along with the fairly brisk sales of her artwork.  Julia lives in a small house bought by Dani, and she gets regular phone calls and visits from the girl who considers her to be her mother.

Relationships: None so far, aside from Julia Tanner, her surrogate mother.

Friends: Dani just moved to town and hasn't had a chance to make friends, yet.

Enemies: None that she's aware of, yet.

Additional Details

Dani is gender-queer, which means she doesn't ascribe to the gender binary of male or female.  She swaps pronouns freely when speaking about herself, and typically binds her breasts and wears a strap-on under her pants, though not always.  Dani considers herself largely gender neutral with a strong masculine leaning, and she's fine with any pronouns one is most comfortable using with her.

Biography

Libby's mother suffered unexpected complications during the birth of her first, and only, daughter, which resulted in her death and left the newborn to be raised by former rock star of mediocre fame, Robert Shane.  Robert had risen to mild notoriety in the eighties, but his band 'Broken Sundays' only had one song that reached the charts and it hovered near the bottom, dropping steadily for three weeks before falling off entirely.  'Running Blind', their one hit song, was forgotten in a year and the band ended up breaking apart after struggling for another three years to regain what little recognition they'd once had.  Later in life, Robert admitted that a combination of middling talent and a taste for the rock and roll lifestyle was the cause of their pitiful attempt to make it big.

Luckily for Robert, he met his wife Elisabeth on their final, pathetic tour and the two fell deeply in love.  She helped him get sober and find a life off stage, making him realize that he made a much better sound engineer than musician.  The two spent years traveling with different bands, and Robert discovered that he was much more in demand as an engineer than he'd ever been when he had held a guitar.  They took a break when Elisabeth got pregnant and settled in Chicago, in Robert's parent's place, which had been left to him in his mother's will.  Everything seemed wonderful, until the night Libby was born and Elisabeth died.

Robert grieved hard for his wife, but he adored his daughter and considered her the most precious thing in his life.  He got a job at a recording studio, and stopped touring with bands until Libby was old enough to travel with him.  Every summer, while she was out of school, he took three months off work and they hooked up with a band for their summer tour, which fostered in Libby a gypsy spirit.  She adored traveling, meeting new people and seeing new cities, new wonders on the road.  Of course, Libby got older and began finding even more things to enjoy about touring with rock bands, namely the members of the band and attractive members of the audience.

Libby was a beautiful girl and she attracted a lot of interest, which Robert wasn't exactly pleased about.  She was always going to be his little girl, and catching her making out with guys five or ten years older than her didn't sit well with him at all.  So, their relationship became strained and eventually it exploded when, at seventeen, Libby announced she was dropping out of high school and moving in with a woman named Charity West, the lead singer of an all-female rock band called 'Demeter's Sorrow'.  Charity was nearly thirty, but Robert couldn't convince Libby to change her mind, the girl was madly in love with Charity and refused to believe that age or anything else could make a difference.

Things were wonderful between Libby and Charity for a while, but then Charity began to lose her temper with the girl, started calling her names and eventually progressed to hitting her when they fought.  Libby told herself it was stress, or that Charity only hurt her when she was drunk.  She made a million excuses for her lover, because she loved her, and when things were good, it felt like magic.  Then one night, after a show, she walked in on Charity in her trailer with a couple of groupies, screwing them in the same bed that she and Libby shared when the band was on tour.  The fight was enormous, the groupies slipping out as the trailer filled with screams and accusations, then it all stopped when Charity decided to let her fists do the talking.  An hour later, Libby was dropped off outside of an ER with a broken cheekbone, internal bleeding and a couple of fractured ribs, not to mention numerous bruises and contusions from the beating she'd taken.

When she finally woke after surgery, it was to discover her father sitting beside her hospital bed and to learn that 'Demeter's Sorrow' had moved on to the next town without her.  Charity had abandoned her and left her for dead.  Robert wanted her to press charges, but Libby refused, her emotions over the situation incredibly conflicted.  Part of her was relieved to be free, to be alive, and to no longer be subject to the pain of Charity's abuse, but the other part of her still loved the woman, longed for her and hurt deeply over her betrayal and abandonment.  Robert asked Libby to move back in with him after she was released from the hospital and she did, recovering under his attentive care and even managing to get her G.E.D.  But, after a year she couldn't stay, needed to get out on her own and stop depending on others.

She moved for a time to California to try her hand at acting, but soon discovered the hell of auditions, callbacks and being just another pretty face among dozens, if not hundreds.  She started posing as a model for an art class to support herself, then began posing for other artists, and eventually for pornographic magazines.  She enjoyed the attention and she had the perfect look for such work, a combination of sweet and sexy, with a bit of an edge.  From there, it was an easy jump to cam-girl, with a little help from a good friend who was in the business.  Now, she's moved back to Chicago, to Indigo Way, and has just taken up residence in Parker Commons.

Relationships: None, yet.

Friends: None, unless you count her many fans.

Enemies: Some other cam-girls aren't very friendly with her, but none aside from them.
