Help on being verified?

I was just wondering if there is anything specific I need in my introduction, or if it's basically just a roundabout hello in a paragraph or two?
I'm sorry if this seems like something obvious, I'm a bit dimwitted at times do I may have missed something when I was reading through all that stuff, such as the rules and all.
