Turning off email notifications?

I can't find an option to do it in account settings. I keep up with E very well, and I've got about 2000 emails from the site since I joined. (it's hard to believe it's that many, but there it is. Too bad PMs don't count towards my post count.)

Go to your profile and click modify profile, then the notifications tab. Your email settings are in there.

PM notifications are under your private messaging settings.

Hey Vek, the 'Show new replies" button is nice, but is there any way you could make a "Show threads that you read the most recent post in, closed to think about for a while, and then forgot about and can't find without going into your own history" button? That would really help me out a lot...
