Bride that is a good point. If you did not get my meaning in the first post i made on this thread let me say it again. If the character is from ANY sort of story legend folktale myth or some other obscure format. As long as you can make a sheet and the person is not OP you can be whatever you want to be. I don't care if you choose to be Slenderman as long as you maybe trim his powers a bit and give a good reason for why you choose him.

Name: Madeline Adams

Story: Rapunzel

Appearance:

Fictional-

Non Fictional-

Occupation: Shot girl

Age: Appears 24

Height: 4'11

Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual

Relationship Status: Single

Abilities:The traits Madeline is skilled within is being quite flexible, using her lithe build to her advantage as she is quite fast on her feet. Apart from that her long hair does have some healing qualities, although there is no real process it has been proven to heal wounds when she sings, though it is not an perfected art.Along with her singing ability Madeline is also quite the skilled seamstress, often seen with needle and thread in her pockets or hemming articles of clothing to mend for extra money on the side.

Weaknesses:Madeline is about 4'10 as her short stature makes some things difficult for her, as she is an slim little creature and over all not very assertive. Along with her physical abilities that of an normal being, her emotional state is one that is teetering. She keeps many things within as there are moments where she does explode, but otherwise comments or toying with herself can result in Madeline hesitating.

Reputation:Madeline is one who usually doesn't mind what others think, as the world around her is something new and she wishes only to experience everything. Her life has been one of isolation, as the time spent alone has only made her live her life to the fullest; but things are never that easy are they? Although down on her luck in both her romantic life as well as actual life, Madeline does not let it show. Rather she keeps an upbeat attitude, showing her curiosity and innocence, as sometimes it gets her into situations she shouldn't be in. Some think she is much too naive for her own good, but her good nature comes from an caring place, as she does all that she can in order to make those around her happy even if she goes to the ends of the earth to do so.

Bio: Not all princesses were lucky, that what was written on the pages were the whole entire truth; this was Rapunzel's case as her tale was far from what was shown. Her life had been one of lies and isolation, the young maiden unaware of her true life much less the truth as she hardly considered herself an prize to be sought. To be used and control was an cruel fate the naive woman only knew, as only with her prince was she made aware of just how sad her life truly was. He brought her such love, so much wonder, an excitement of the world outside she had all but missed out on. So many promises were made and yet this was where her story drifted from that printed. Rapunzel indeed was cast out from her tower by the only motherly figure she knew, that the reveal of her prince has been merely an slip of the tongue. What the story did not tell however was how her mother scorned her captive child, cutting away her flowing locks to marr her beauty, that the fooling of the prince actually never happened.

No the maiden at once rushed to her love as Mother Gothel had claimed her lengthy locks as her only prized possession, but unaware to Rapunzel her love was no as welcoming to the sight of the maiden as she was. Rather he shunned her away, her looks having been compromised to leave her discarded by the only person in her life she had left in this world. Heart broken and lonely Rapunzel went into hiding, the maiden clutching onto her sadness as she found the magical quality of her hair beginning to regrow with little effort; but alas it was too late. Although the once golden splendor had grown back almost magically, there was an stark difference to behold. Just once like the drops on an shinning sun had become white like ivory, an symbol of her navitity as her brillant hair made her an easy target to spot. The Nothing had seen to the destruction of all that she had once knew and hoped for, the maiden escaping with only herself as her woes began to grow. There was nothing but darkness when Rapunzel woke to find herself in an strange world, not knowing how she came to be but she would soon settle herself and begin her life once more; but this time she would not allow others to rule her life...she would do all she could to make her own life for herself..

Somehow.

Ok, just finished Woody's bio. Plus, as a result to Goldy Locks Bio I did change Reynards a bit to reflect a few things, so I made my Bio fit with Goldy's. ^^ I actually like how it changed things. Pluss I took the opportunity to add details to Reynards personality, which is always nice. XD

Name: Reynard Fox

Occupation: None: Currently a prisoner in The Farm
Fable: Many fox based fables, including Ausops Fables or western fables based upon the Reynard Cycle. More notably known amoung his fellow Animal Fables, for the tale "The Fox and the Sick Lion."

Age: Looks about 30, but when has age been as it seems in Fable Town?
Faceclaim: Adrian Brody

Sexual Orientation: Straight

Relationship Status: Single

Abilities: Heightened Senses,  Known for his Great Cunning.

Weakness: High Pitched frequencies, Arrogance, Easy Attachment (Can easily like or even love someone if he leaves himself to emotionally vulnerable.) Requires a Glamour to fit among humans.

Reputation: Reynard has developed quite the reputation as a trickster, prankster and over all manipulator. As well as being a mentally unstable egotist. And despite his few good deeds, including having saved many of his fable animals. And having lead the animal fables into fleeing into the human world. His bad deeds, outweighed the few good deeds in many Fables eyes. Imprisoning him, for his potential to do harm.

Personality: As with Ausops tale, the Fox and The Grape. Reynard is a man, that does whatever it takes to obtain what he wants. And if he cant achieve it, he will proclaim the 'grapes' sour. As it is always easy to just say, it is bad or spoiled, when you cant get it. Reynard is a shining example, of a Sympathetic villain. Most would say he can even be a hero. He lies, he cheats, he does despicable things but only ever to survive, or do the right thing. Or so he would at least have you think. Reynard as a fox, is a survivor. But he is also selfish, cunning, and dangerous. Even if he has done good things in the past for his fellow animals, he has also done many bad things among them. Leaving mixed opinions about his personal character. Many of which both good and bad is true, though about as much is exaggerated. Even if Reynard the Fox is portrayed as a ruthless villain, it is actually inconceivable that he should ever be regarded as anything but the waggish rogue who above all exposes a thoroughly rotten society rooted in authority and power. Does he not demonstrate the age-old truth that evil can only be countered with evil?

Bio: Back in the Homeland there are many villains and heroes but, for the likes of Reynard Fox well.... He lay's somewhere in between. Often things are not as they seem but, he did gain himself a reputation upon deeds both good and terrible. A trickster, pranking others for fun as well as preying upon the ignorance of others for food or resource. It stands to reason that opinions of Reynard the Fox are well... Split. He is known for many tales. But most notably, here are a few. At a younger age, their king of the Valley, Lion had grown old and sickly. Calling upon the other animals, such as Toad, cat, Stork and so on. He told them that if they can tell him their greatest deeds, an animal among them will become the new king. However, Fox was clever. Waiting only to see, that paw prints always appeared to enter... But never leave. Fox warned the animals, and ever since none would enter. Letting their, 'king' die of hunger. Reynard would later be named King of the Foxes. And later on in his life, would help his fellow Animal fables flee from the Nothing. Cleverly tricking the nothings creatures that he would help them kill the Animals of the Valley for the scraps of his fellows. In the valley, there was a legend about Christmas pies miraculously appearing. He told the creatures that for three days, they should cook as many pies as they could and leave them for the inhabitants of the valley to feast upon out of ignorance. On the fourth day, they were to cook rocks into the pies so the animals would be too slow to flee. And on the fourth day, they all waited around a grove for the animals to eat the pies. Meanwhile, the animals, led by Reynard, were still well on their way to fleeing. However the creatures had seen through Reynards trickery, realizing that cooking the pies was nothing more, then a baseless distraction. Enraged, the creatures of the Nothing began setting the forest's of the Valley ablaze. Hoping to catch the innocent creatures within a fiery doom. Many were lost... But if not for Reynards trick buying them time, many more would have died. And with Reynards knowledge of the Valley, along with the bravery of a little girl, he managed to lead the rest of the animals to a hasty escape. Finding Sanctuary among the rebels of their world, still trying to keep the Nothing at bay.  Reynards good deeds were undeniable, but so were his bad. He was known for his trickery, ego and even known for out right murder. After fleeing into the mundane world of humans, the other Fables agreed that for his past deeds he should be imprisoned. As he stands as a danger to their way of life. Later on, when the farm was created he was taken to it. To live among criminals, as well as other Fables that can not afford a Glamour and appear human.

Likes: Many Luxuries, especially including fine dinning. (After all living as a scavenger leaves one gluttonous for finely serviced meals and leaves one to enjoy the pampering of others.) Enjoys tricking or outsmarting others, for many reasons. Could be the means of a good laugh or feeding his already inflated ego. It could also be to put some one he finds to be mean, evil or crude in their place. (Such as a figure of power, strength and totalitarian authority.) And yes, more often then not his trickery is a means of survival and self sufficiency. He also enjoys fulfilling his carnal desires, however he is more so a romantic at heart. (Thus a loyal lover.)

Dislikes: High pitched noises, like whistles. Stupidity, nothing makes him more annoyed or enraged then profound stupidity. Being embarrassed, humiliated or outsmarted. (Takes massive offense to being outsmarted!) And Wolves. Especially his arch nemesis, Insengram the Wolf. (Whom has for some time been unaccounted for.)

Name: Woody Garland. (AKA the Woodsmen from Red Riding hood, and Huntsmen from Snow White.)

Occupation: Deputy/ Former drunkard

Age: Appears around 40
Faceclaim: Chriss Hemsworth

Sexual Orientation: Straight

Relationship Status: Single, known for alchohol giving him a temper as well as it giving him abusive tendencies. that reputation makes him very much unnatractive as a partner.

Abilities: Like any fable he is resilient, with a minor healing factor. Although much like Bigby he has shown to be much more resilient then most, healing easily from even a two story fall. He is physically strong, and a good fist fighter, allowing him to over power most. However if beings like Bigby were to move into any of their bigger or stronger forms he can easily find himself outmatched. His only real asset as a fighter is his Ax. Which has some mystical qualities, such as giving Woody an almost symbiotic and emotional connection with it.

Weakness: He is as mortal as your common fable. He can take twice the beating as one but, in the end he can still die just as easily. Well... As easy as it is to kill a fable. (Which in the end is pretty difficult without chopping off a head.) Weak minded; Woody is a recovering drunkard, driven by the guilt of his bastard past and the pain of being a hero who doesn't deserve his renown.  His will is somewhat weak as a result. Meaning he can easily be manipulated by a clever tongue, especially when ones words utilizes Woody's own guilt, Empathy for others or his care for his own friends. Further he has little mental resistance to mind based spells.

Reputation: Hailed as a hero back in the Homeland for facing the likes of Bigby, and refussing to kill Snow White. Now a days, he does have a reputation as a drunkard and mean bastard. However, since he has become Bigby's deputy he has gone nearly sober, even loosing a lot of his attitude. Even then, there is kind of a stigma against him for much of his past actions. Leaving him socially as a washed up hero.

Personality: At first glance, The Woodsman seems to fill in the role of the stereotypical town drunk; he is seldom sober, he is violent and impulsive, and is without a qualm in his beating of others. However, since he has become the Deputy of Bigby, he does show some signs of intelligence and rationality. Woody can be honest and direct to people when he admits that he did something wrong, he is also sympathetic and helpful. He recognizes that he can be an ass hole, he even dislikes a lot of the wrong that he has done. Hell, he is even up front to very close friends, that he first intended on robbing Little red's grandma, he only found Bigby there and fought him out of impulse. He no longer drinks as much, and tries not to be as aggressive as his past has shown. But this new found sobriety does not eliminate the stigma he has grown among his fellow fables. However, the newfound respect he has for his former rival Bigby, and his willingness to be a better man are undeniable. Right now he is trying to live up to his fame, do the right thing and prove;if not to others, then himself. That he is a hero.

Bio: In a world of Fables, filled with heroes, it stands to reason that some are over bloated tales. Where the Hero might not be so heroic, and the people chant for a man who does not deserve it. Such is the sad tale of Woody. Woody grew up in a harsh environment, a drunken father and abusive mother. It stood to reason he would grow up with few skills to call his own, becoming a Woodsmen like his father and his father before him. A tough job, that paid very little. Because of a harsh upbringing, it was easy for Woody to look upon short cuts as a means to an end, a easy way to an easier life...  He was well known for his temper, for drinking and was even accused of being a thief. Never prooven, but it was true. He did steal, he did do shady jobs. Much of which to this day he regrets... It was not until far late in his life, that his story as a 'hero' began. It started with an evil queen. She needed some one unknown, a random rogue known for violence and shameful acts. She needed a feckless coward who would take money for anything, even murder. She of coarse never intended on letting him go, he was to be her scapegoat. The murderer of her step daughter, tried and hung swiftly for robbing and killing a poor defenseless girl. But when it came down to it, he just didnt have it in him. A drunk he may be, a bastard even. But he couldnt kill something so sweet. Her name was Snow, and in ignorance she was kind to the stranger she met on the side of the road.... He played along, played nice and was kind to her in turn. Thinking he was just going to get nice and close. But, he didnt have it in him! He in fact broke down, warning the girl of her stepmothers treachery. Telling her she should flee.

He wouldnt know what came of her for many years, all he knew was that well... He was now on the run. One day, while hiding out in the woods he came upon a cottage. Upon inspection he learned it belonged to a frail old women. He put it in his head, that he had to steal from them. He needed the money, he neded to keep moving. So the next evening, while the old lady slept he would come in, steal from her and just go. Little did he know that when he entered, a Wolf would be there. The Big Bad Wolf! It was scary, but out of impulse he fought the beast. Gutting him right open, he pulled the old cogger and her young grand duaghter right out. Filling his belly full of stones and throwing the beast in the nearby river. Well, of coarse it didnt end the beast. The wolf came out no worse for ware, a testament to it's resilience when compared to other beasts. But ever since he was declared a hero. He was renowned as the Woodsmen, the man who slayed the Wolf.  Even when Bigby turned back up, Woody was respected. Even eventually becoming known for sparring the beautiful Snow White. But Woody knew the truth... Even when he married the young girl he saved, Woody knew he was nothing more then a coward and thief. He just never told any one. He was admittedly abusive towards Red, but his marriage to her was nothing more then a reminder of what a lie he really was. To this day now, he regrets the way he has acted and treated others. He was only ever hurt by the praise he got from others, praise he knew he didnt deserve. Now he is just trying to do right by the people of Fable town. And if possible, get some forgiveness from his ex, Red. Maybe even find the courage to tell Red, Snow, even the rest of the fables the truth about his past.

Likes: Alcohol, though in a very limited amount these days. His past of literally drowning himself in booz are over, and was only due to hating himself for being revered as a hero, when really he was just a selfish guy in the right place at the wrong time- A good brawl. He honestly loves fighting, it's fun and it allows him to unleash his darker side. At least now days he fights at the side of the law, and with a bit more self control. - Snow white.... He wont lie, he has kind of a fondness for her. He did end up with Little red for some time after saving her but really, he always was infatuated by Snow. She was sweet, beautiful, and didnt deserve to die. It's why in spite of possibly the best pay day he would ever dream of, he let the girl live. She may not be as uh... Sweet, and naive as when he first met her but she is still just as beautiful. Hed never give himself the illusion of him and her being together but he would always enjoy her company, as well trust her judgement, even blindly so.

Dislikes: Scumbags. A really asinine thing to say but, people that are truly mean, despicable or feckless make him mad because to him it is like a mirror to his past. Abuse and violence towards women. He has admittedly, been very rough to the dames. It was mainly out of a short temper, and near constant drunken stupor. In reality he is very empathetic, and doesn't like it when others hurt women.

Magniel-Dame: Ya pretty much. I dont think there is many Disney characters that are not from Fables, myth or legend. Hell even the lion king is based on a African Fable.

Nala from the Lion King.

Nala sounds awesome! Lol, a Lioness? Cool, and sexy. Just let me know if you want her to at all be familiar or even know Reynard. Seeing as they are both Animal Fables. Reynard himself is quite intimatly familiar with Lions, ha ha. Seeing as he has dealt with a Lion as the King of the Valley for quite a long time. And even, in my version, warned animals of their kings trick and let the king die of hunger. (As in the story, The Fox and the Sickly Lion.)

Maligno: Oh dont you worry, Dame typically does good. Im certain Nala will be very well woven in. :D

El Maligno

Since there seems to be a great number of females as well as a good deal of interest in the story I shall be making another character. Trust me we can NEVER have too many females.....oh no sir we can never have ENOUGH :P

wander

Wow, things hit off since yesterday! xD

I will for sure tomorrow when more refreshed and it's less late get in Cheshire for your purview! I'll be doing him a bit OC, as the original version was located at the Farm for not having Glamour to become human, my version of course will be able to achieve human form and lets him bi to open up more naughty scenes, though I can see we have a couple of nice looking ladies already with more coming in.  ;D

Finally home. I'm going to go through a few face claims until I find the perfect Nala.

Ah, it's more specific this time. Do we absolutely have to have a real person image? It's a bit of a pet peeve of mine when it comes to content based on drawn material.
Now this is the Law of the Jungle-
as old and as true as the sky;
And the Wolf that shall keep it may  prosper,
but the Wolf that shall break it must die.

I dont think you absolutely have to no, so your probably fine with just Drawn. I tend to feel the same way typically, but I understand some people just prefer rl and some just prefer drawn so in most groups I tend to just use both. Pleases both mindsets.

Here we go. Sadly lost the style I intended to write it in at some point into the Bio. I somehow managed to find a real photo I don't mind, so that's there. The actual character image I intended is still WIP, because it needs an edit before I can put it to use.

Name: The Grand Vizier/Rashid
Many. Fables call him 'The Vizier', some call him Ja'far, others Imhotep. It is said only his two closest daughters, whom he holds dear, know his true name. His most often used identity in the Mundie World is Rashid Harun al-Hikma, in honor of his old friend Harun al-Rashid and the House of Wisdom he built.

He was once known in the Mundie World as the Mad Monk Rasputin, over a century ago, and may have posed or actually been other legendary historical figures.

Occupation:

Functions in Fable Society:
Legal Consultant and Representative
Mediator
Patron of the Arts
Provider of Magical Services

Functions in Mundane Society:
Business Counselor
Political and Legal Advisor

Fable: The Grand Vizier Jafar (1001 Nights Frame Story, advising role)
Unnamed sorcerer and his brother (Aladdin, antagonistic role)
Grand Vizier (Aladdin, antagonistic role)
Duban (The tale of the vizier and the sage Duban, protagonist role)
Ja'far ibn Yahya (The Three Apples, The Tale of Attaf; protagonist role)
Koschei the Deathless (The Death of Koschei the Deathless, antagonistic role)
Age: Ancient. Currently looks in his forties most of the time, but subtly ages his appearance when he acts as an advisor.
Height: 1,78m
Faceclaim: Khaled Nabawy

Sexual Orientation:
Bisexual (prefers feminine beauty, regardless of actual sex and/or gender). Polygamous.

Relationship Status:
Complicated. Currently unattached romantically, but married, divorced and widowed many times over.  Some famous Fables are of his descent. Most notably, Dunyazad and Scheherazade are his daughters.

Abilities:
Of the wise men in the court of the caliph Harun al-Rashid, praised be his name, Ja'far was the wisest, the most cunning and learned. He held many secrets and wonders. He was wise in the magics and sorceries of men, of djinn and of gods. His appearance changed as easily as the flow of a rivulet. He could be young and strong, he could be old and wrinkled, he could even be man or woman if he so desired. The spirits of the Earth heeded his call, for he knew their names, and even those of the elements. It is said he even possessed the secret of immortality and had tried to share it with his great friend, the caliph, but could not.

Archetypal Vizier: Rashid is the most prominent Fable-Advisor in existence, serving in that function in some manner for thousands of years since he was first named Imhotep. He is a polymath learned in many things, an architect (the first, according to some), engineer and physician. An alchemist, a priest, a politician, hero and villain (more so since his almost slanderous portrayal in Disney's Aladdin). Though his incarnation as Imhotep was eventually deified, he has no divinity to claim, but all that he was and is combined makes him close to becoming a fundamental archetype. It does leave him somewhat more vulnerable to fates, popular presentations and repeat patterns than others.

Sorcery: The Grand Vizier is a sorcerer of great skill and experience. His specialties are glamors, spirit magic and elemental sorcery, though his workings are not limited to such.

He has a particular facility with glamouring magic and may modify his own, which he maintains at all times despite it usually mirroring his true appearance, at a whim.

He can command lesser spirits and may speak to and implore greater ones to serve him in exchange for repayment. He can conjure flame, use earth magic to bolster himself and others, wind magic to travel in the air and water magic to heal and purify.

Immortality: Though a very popular Fable to begin with, he has gained actual immortality by locking his true heart into a secret chest, which he has hidden as described under Possessions and Resources. The process is dangerous and cannot be replicated except under very rare circumstances. He can be truly killed only by piercing that heart, though extensive damage to his body is still a great hindrance and being swallowed by the Nothing would still be his end.

He used to possess a magic ring that called a wish-granting djinn for him, but the spirit was lost to the Nothing when he called on it to vanquish the threat. The ring on his finger is now useless.

Important Possessions and Resources:
QuoteThe Golden Palace - Though he had no palace or castle to bring with him, the Grand Vizier used his quickly gained wealth and own sorcery to craft himself a large and beautiful palace where he and his servants as well as his sister-daughter Sharazad live, hidden behind the closet doors of his consulting office. Within it grows a branch that was taken from the Cypress of Keshmar before they were forced to flee the Homelands.

Deep within its labyrinthine dungeons lies a vast desert, within which lies a pyramid, within which lies an actual labyrinth protected by old spirits within which lies a puzzle box within which he has hidden his true heart.

A magic working woven through the Golden Palace allows Sharazad to more easily weave her stories into reality inside its halls, within the limited framework that they have defined so as to not disturb the main building structures and its protective spells -- It holds nearly as many of those and obfuscating ones as the Fabletown office itself -- and the secret pyramid center more even than that.

QuoteFaridah (NPC)

Occupation: Farid's PA
Age: Mid-Thirties, exists since the dawn of Fable-Baghdad
Sexual Orientation: Humanoids. Very focused on oral since it holds special dom/sub/trust significance for her due to her ghul-ish eating habits.
Relationship Status: Maintains casual intimacy with a number of lovers.

Bio:  Rashid's personal assistant, a female ghul. She is a lesser shapeshifting demon who used to terrorize the deserts and feast upon unsuspecting humans in the shape of a bestial hyena until she was captured and imprisoned. Being offered the opportunity to save herself from the Nothing if she would abandon her monstrous ways and take a civilized form, she accepted and has since served as a loyal retainer. She maintains the shape of a beautiful Arabic woman, but prefers to wear a suit while she works. She now satisfies her inhuman appetites with the occasional extra-bloody steak.

Abilities: As a demon, she can change her form to many terrifying or pleasing shapes and possesses supernatural physical attributes -- toughness, strength, speed and ferocity all well above your average Mundie. When in her true form, these increase with her size and she also gains a deadly poisonous bite.

As a PA, she can fulfill any and all duties a secretary would and also acts as a chauffeur, bodyguard and valet.

The Staff of Wadjet - A staff that can transform into an intelligent venomous cobra of variable size that understands human speech. It can serve as a guard, assassin or spy. The staff may also be used to put the weak-minded into a suggestive hypnotic state.

Shamshir-e Zomorrodnegar - A sword from Persian legend, it was specifically made to be the only thing that can hurt the demon Fulad-zereh. When worn it serves as a charm against magic and the wounds it inflicts do not heal easily. It is the Grand Vizier's preferred weapon.

The Ring of Wishes - Now useless, but worn as a reminder. Once allowed to summon a djinn servant, but the powerful spirit was consumed by the Nothing.

The Cup of Jamshid - A cup filled with an elixir of immortality , the surface of which reflects the whole world. It can be used as a tool of divination, similar to the Magic Mirror, but holds no thoughts or personality of its own.

The Sword Kladenets - The self-swinging sword from Russian legend. It will guide an unproficient wielder's movement and may leap to fight on its own on command.

The Bottled City - Stolen from a powerful dream-spirit, The Bottled City holds a preserved reflection of Baghdad in its Golden Age. If you look closely, you can almost see it moving.

Weakness:
Though wise, the Grand Vizier has an innate desire for more knowledge and power that sometimes blinds him and makes him act against his better knowledge. He can be dismissive and even aggressive towards those reaching beyond their station and strongly believes in an outdated caste system.

He still longs for what he considers the golden age and has become a more bitter and resentful man for it. If past transgressions against others were incidental or part of the societal system at best, he is now primarily out for his own gain -- his pride as a vizier does not allow him to advise others badly, but if he can profit as well, he will favor such options and approaches and may simply choose not to help those he would not profit from.

His heart, if discovered.

Reputation: Steadfast and unshakable as a truly faithful and wise advisor with those who knew him as Grand Vizier or Imhotep and still good with those he encountered in his early adventures. After Baghdad, he was more bitter and was experienced as a cunning and wise but troubled and often disagreeable man.

At current, his reputation is questionable -- if approached he can be relied upon to deliver, with pretty much anything, but his ways have become callous, selfish and the favors he asks in return may be more steep than any monetary payments.

Bio:

Accounts of Fable-Baghdad strongly inspired by Neil Gaiman's Ramadan. Praise of characters and location within not to be taken as self-aggrandizing, it's just how these things are told.

In Fables, time does not flow as it does in the Mundie World, but surely the tale of Imhotep is one of the oldest. Born a commoner, he rose to become the chief advisor -- the Vizier -- to the Pharaoh Netjerikhet and was also the head priest of Rah, the sun god. In those days, all priests were sorcerers after a fashion and so was he, calling the flames of the sun down onto the Earth. After his death, it is said that, like the great Pharao, he became a god.

But Imhotep did not die. The tomb he had constructed was in truth a ritual chamber  within which he invested himself with immortality and, thought dead, went on to journey to places that others dared not dream of.

Many adventures and wonders did he see -- tales of great love, magics great and powerful, heroes and villains and deeds so grand they would be persist forever -- but one age, one golden age and one perfect city, where the sun forever shone and the streets were full of adventure, mysteries and wonder, is where he truly was at home.

This city was the jewel, the perfect city that would forever be remembered even when it was but a pale shadow of its fabled splendor. It was Baghdad.

There, he was Ja'far ibn Yahya. He was chief advisor and trusted friend to the caliph, Harun al-Rashid, who was the greatest caliph who ever lived and with whom he had many adventures. Because the caliph was his friend, like he, Ja'far had many wives and beautiful young men to attend him and ease his worries, beautiful and gentle and beyond compare -- except when held against the harem of the caliph himself, whose wives and pretty male companions were doubly so.

He also had two daughters. Scheherazade and Dunyazad, both beautiful and beyond compare. Beautiful enough that Scheherazade became the wife of King Shaheryar, who was the king of kings and ruled all of Persia. But that is another story of stories, one in which Ja'far plays many parts and that would take a thousand and one nights to tell in full.

Far more important was the matter of a beggar, a thief and vagabond, whose name was Aladdin. The vizier in his wisdom knew of a cave that held within a wonderful oil lamp that would grant wishes. Though he himself possessed a ring of similar quality, he knew that there was great danger in such power in the wrong hands and that his hands, those of the Grand Vizier, were the best to wield it.

The cave was trapped and very dangerous. The vizier feared that even his spell of immortality might not protect him and thus he sought out someone to secure the lamp for him. Someone who would gladly risk his life in exchange for better station and wealth. He found Aladdin.

Aladdin, however, discovered the true power of the lamp -- Ja'far, cunning Ja'far, had accounted for the possibility and trapped him inside the cave rather than leave him free to roam with a wish-granting djinn at his disposal, but Aladdin used a wish to break free. He stole the daughter of Harun al-Rashid, who had been engaged to Ja'far's own son, with another and in one fell swoop named the Grand Vizier villain and betrayer.

The Golden Age of Baghdad was ended. The Vizier despaired of this and found little solace when he went to advise the kings who had married his daughters.

Thus he traveled again, alone and without his dear friend, for centuries and to the most distant parts of the world, even to a bleak place where there were no wonders or magic and where he was briefly known by the name Rasputin before he returned to more fantastic places.

The Nothing was a threat he had not, could not have, foreseen. His magic proved ineffective, his djinn was swallowed and only flight remained as an option. Though loathe to be forced into action, he assisted in the grand spell to open a portal into the Mundie World -- having been there once already, his assistance was critical, but once there he declared no desire to join in the Witches' circle. He had served others loyally for long enough, now bereft of all wonder in this dreary, grey world he would be his own master.

Skilled in matters of finance, ruling and (eventually, as modern laws were strange and often senseless) law, he was one of the few to immediately start working with mundies and started to build up an entirely new fortune. He offers perfectly servicable glamors as well as advice to Fables in need of them and, instead of payment like the Witches and government demand, asks for 'friendship' and favors in return.

His assistance was instrumental in setting down the laws of Fabletown, but as a result he is intimately familiar with them -- so far, any challenges to his glamour production, which by all accounts should be illegal, were swiftly argued away on account of adhering to all proper protocols and procedures (as in part defined by him).

Likes:
His two favorite daughters, Harun al-Rashid, people intelligent and sensible, people aware of their station, Homeland artifacts and wonders from past ages, having reliable servants, polygamy

Dislikes:
Aladdin, foolishness, lawbreakers, being questioned, the Mundie World, the Witches (for they meddle with things without truly understanding them), being tricked

Relations:

Name Bigby Wolf
Played By: El Maligno
Character's Thoughts: "His human skin still fits ill after all these years. For now he is an instrument of justice and is due the appropriate respect, but -- as loathe as I am to quote this old cliché -- for all his well-hidden cunning and godly power, he remains an unwashed brute."
Possible Connection: Rashid was an instrumental part in creating the Compact, so law enforcement and law expert naturally have some connection -- depending on the instance, Rashid could very well serve as either accuser or defense in a court. If Bigby also does more shady spying and secret ops business to protect Fabletown as in the comics, Rashid could also be involved there -- as a sponsor, as 'off the books' arcane support or to provide planning, logistics and support. After all, they're both intent on Fabletown's continued safety and in some manner lawkeepers. There is also the matter of Bigby suspecting him, but as long as he does nothing against actual Fabletown law, Rashid sees no reason to fear the wolf.

Name Evil Queen/Alexandrai Grimhilde
Played By: CurvyKitten
Character's Thoughts: "Long ago, I might have condemned her wicked and sought to have her replaced with a more proper ruler -- but things are different now. She is an able sorceress and an intriguing woman. While I would not name her rival, she is a point of curiosity. Certain arrangements could be made to mutual benefit."
Possible Connection: Having connections, alchemic skill and a magical castle in which to grow herbs that mundane earth might not support, he may well be able to provide rare ingredients that she needs. As far as I can tell, she's not part of the 13th Floor, so an alliance (perhaps for the purpose of casting cloaking and protection spells to resist their efforts) might be sensible. As rich Fables, they might also have some financial interaction -- but they probably both have people for that.

Name Goldilocks
Played By: Lustful Bride
Character's Thoughts: "I recall she works in a certain bookstore I eventually intend to purchase, if only for the nostalgia of its name. Other than that, we haven't spoken."
Possible Connection: The nostalgic name has Rashid interesting in acquiring her shop, which means he could potentially become her employer.

Name Gretel
Played By: Timeless
Character's Thoughts: "An oddity -- her abilities are unusual and almost as outlandish as her brother's. But more importantly, she has interest in and some skill with witchcraft. While mercenaries are ever second choice to loyal agents, she should prove useful."
Possible Connection: As a patron -- while he seems to hold little respect for her brother, Gretel he is pleasant enough with and would be amendable to giving instruction on arcane matters if approached -- in exchange for future favors or services rendered, of course.

Name Hansel
Played By: TheBlackThrone
Character's Thoughts: "… is he truly Fable? He seems more in line with this modern 'super hero' mythology -- if it wasn't for the ridiculousness of it all. Potentially useful, but best dealt with through his sister."
Possible Connection: May also serve as a patron for Hansel's mercenary work, but prefers to deal with his sister.

Name Hunter
Played By: TheHangedMan
Character's Thoughts: "Hmm? Oh, yes, him. Skilled man, but it is rare that you need a hunter in Fabletown. He might make for a good agent to send after rogue Fables if necessary, but tradition dictates that these types shy away from murder -- as our good Miss Snow would know."
Possible Connection: As the most skilled hunter in Fabletown, Rashid may have had people (possibly Faridah) approach him about purchasing rare meats.

Name Lake/Lady of the Lake/Vivian
Played By: Caela
Character's Thoughts: "A powerful spirit -- or perhaps minor goddess. She seems content in her new role, but we shall see how long it takes until she needs must follow her nature and declare another true king. Her spa is pleasant enough."
Possible Connection: A chooser of kings and an advisor of kings, it's highly likely that, if she is older than Arthurian myth, they may have run into each other. He occasionally visits the spa.

Name Merlin
Played By: El Maligno
Character's Thoughts: "How far the mighty can fall. He served a function similar to my own in the Arthurian cycle, could perhaps have taken my mantle if I ever was to depart from this realm, but no more. Not hardened, but broken by the Nothing -- still, he may yet prove useful."
Possible Connection: Business associates, would buy up any magical trinkets Merlin is willing to sell. Might visit and sit with him to try and profit from his insights, but is reluctant to do so out of distaste for what he has become.

Name Nala
Played By: La Dame en Noir
Character's Thoughts: "A queen lioness? Interesting -- though she seems content with her current lot, I sense ambition. Perhaps it could be fostered."
Possible Connection: None in particular occur -- Rafiki is a distinct fable of his own and would be odd to include in the Grand Vizier, so he wouldn't have advised any of the Lion Kings relevant to her. He wouldn't frequent a bar, either -- but Faridah might. Especially if she also serves food. Between glamored lion and shapeshifted ghul , they might share a fondness for raw steak.

Name Nalayani the Loyal
Played By: Alixandre
Character's Thoughts: "Ah, Nalayani. One of her aspects -- do the others even realize, I wonder? Our paths have crossed at times, over the millennia. Now … well, now I can say I am glad that at least one person works in law enforcement who knows how to conduct herself professionally."
Possible Connection: They are both ancient and would have encountered each other before Rashid grew bitter -- since he respects her greatly, he will attempt to act more like his old self in her presence, when he can.

Name Oberon
Played By: Juggtacular
Character's Thoughts: "Time is of varying consequences to Fables -- and ever more so for the Fae and thus their king. I sought out Oberon's court in my earlier days, to study their ways, to study their magics. On a later visit I saw myself, young and beardless, still there and learning. Recent times have taken the wonder of us all and now time flows for him as it does in the mundane world. It must be a terrible burden to be so limited for such a creature. Still, though he can never replace my true king, I call him friend."
Possible Connection: Already discussed -- and mentioned above.

Name Rapunzel/Madeline Adams
Played By: Bekha Boo
Character's Thoughts: "Princesses are something we'll never be short of. Though gifted with some minor magic, she has so far failed to impress."
Possible Connection: They may have encountered each other when he pays visit to Merlin, but other than that I don't think any real connection would fit them. Maybe Faridah frequents the place more often and is a casual acquaintance?

Name Red Riding Hood/Rosalyn Harper
Played By: Mellific
Character's Thoughts: "An odd theme in Fabletown, that all bakers and candymakers are also warriors. Though her potential is limited, her interest in magics is notable and may make her a useful agent -- especially with that luring charm she possesses. It may be prudent to provide protection to my closer employees if I am to keep her near."
Possible Connection: If she seeks instruction and greater knowledge of magic, the Grand Vizier is pretty much the ideal tutor. His heart being locked away would not be widely known outside of a few Russian Fables who know he was Koschei (Baba Yaga would know, of course), but if there is some reasonable explanation for her to know, that's fine by me.  I'm confused about the legal thing you mentioned, though -- I thought she was running a bakery? Was there some update I missed? Or did you mean the divorce from Woody? He could have acted as a consultant, especially if she had shown interest in arcane instruction before and was thus on his radar.

Name Reynard Fox
Played By: Garuss Vakarian
Character's Thoughts: "A useful agent, if one remembers to treat him as he believes is his due. But only that."
Possible Connection: Somehow, Reynard was imprisoned despite the Amnesty -- while his past deeds might have warranted it, they cannot matter anymore. Rashid would speak for his freedom.

Name Scheherazade/Shahra
Played By: Amarlo
Character's Thoughts: "She has been my daughter for many years. It is … difficult to remember, sometimes, that she is not. Stories are a powerful thing, repeat them often enough and they become truth. None know that better than my Shahra."
Possible Connection: A father and his daughter. Or was it elder brother and sister? The details are fuzzy sometimes, as much as Rashid occasionally needs to remind himself where his true origins lie.  Still, he was ever the cerebral advisor, the builder and scientist, the magician -- and she the teller of stories, the sorceress and oracle, who thought up wonders where he would rather seek, analyze and catalogue. She has taught him much over the years upon years and so did he teach her in turn. His understanding of narrative, repetition and the power held within is owed to her as much as Oberon -- to whom of the two that makes a compliment remains a question that he has craftily avoided.

Name Snow White
Played By: Alixandre
Character's Thoughts: "A fine leader -- her proposition of Amnesty has impressed and she continues to run the administration as effectively as it can in our situation. Unexpected, given her early history, but she has truly come into herself. Far less tiresome than the King placed above her, for that matter."
Possible Connection: Rashid supported her Amnesty proposal and actively participated in forming the Compact. He gives a hefty yearly contribution to Fabletown and may have the occasional word of advice, if asked. He has hinted at thinking her a more suitable ruler than King Cole.

Name Tinkerbell
Played By: CurvyKitten
Character's Thoughts: "The thief? I'm surprised she hasn't been caught yet. Either she steals from Fables or is a continued exposure risk in stealing from the Mundane -- both of which are major crimes and one, treason. Still, I am not actual part of the government, so she is hardly my problem. For now. "
Possible Connection: Thieves make for excellent spies, do they not? And he is rather keen on acquiring magical trinkets -- for safekeeping purposes -- so he may well be one of her major employers.

Name Woody Garland
Played By: Garuss Vakarian
Character's Thoughts: "A weak man -- he could not follow his Queen's orders, nor could he resist the lure of the bottle. We shall see if his current efforts to do so will go anywhere."
Possible Connection: None beyond professional courtesy -- unless he wants to be on payroll to share office information or something.
Now this is the Law of the Jungle-
as old and as true as the sky;
And the Wolf that shall keep it may  prosper,
but the Wolf that shall break it must die.

This is a WIP

Name: Nala
Occupation: Bartender
Fable: The Lion King

Age: Appears to be mid 20s (26)
Height: 5'6"
Faceclaim unknown model

Sexual Orientation: Straight? Its not something she really thinks about.

Relationship Status Married - as of the fairy tale. Single in Fabletown. Lions are - Polyamorous in a way.

Abilities: Superhuman Strength, Jumping great heights, Climbing, Night-Vision

Weaknesses: Catnip - Whoever invented this is an evil person, A pack follower - even if the person is wrong and evil, she will follow them to protect the other young lions, Trusting - She isn't the type of person to judge someone by appearance, which makes it easy for her to trust them off the bat.

Reputation: Now a human woman, through the privilege of being a Princess in the animal kingdom - Nala has a fairly good reputation amongst the citizens.

Personality: Nala is a determined young woman, having been that in her lion form. She is ambitious and never falters. The lioness is known for her diplomatic approach to things and is always sought out for protection and advice. Despite her being born into royalty, she is never abrasive or selfish. People come before her own needs and she will always be the person to look after you. Nala, at times, can be a little hot-headed when things aren't going the way they're supposed to. In a way, this makes her rather high maintenance and hard to deal with if she is in one of those moods. Nala, however, is a very playful and energetic person. She likes to workout and enjoys rough housing with close friends. All-in-all Nala is a great friend to have.

Bio: Everyone should know the story of the Lion King. There have been plenty of adaptations on which the story was originally made. Nala was the Princess of the Pride Lands, having been married to Simba, the King of the Pride lands. It was a long and stressful journey to get him there, but it was worth the effort. The young Queen is no newcomer to darkness and struggle, when all was finally peaceful - The Nothing came to sweep her kingdom away. It was a power she had not seen before, but was not unfamiliar with darkness and evil. The Nothing drew her out of the Pride Lands and in with the "Normies" some call the non-magical everyday humans.

Because of her status as a Princess, she was able to purchase a glamour and live amongst everyone. She has made few friends and often keeps to herself.

Likes: cooked meats, sushi, working out, reading, animals, massages, kissing

DislikesAnimal Cruelty, Rude People, Persistant men, and people that don't hold their promises

Age: 33
Height: 5'9
Faceclaim: Gerard Butler

(Two Images, one rl one fictional.)

Sexual Orientation: Straight

Relationship Status: Single

Abilities: Expert tracker, marksman (Bow and arrow, crossbow; guns are distasteful), a wide variety of handyman skills from living alone (maintaining his own clothes, his house, etc), fletching, cooking (especially smoking meats), foraging.

Weaknesses: Does not always get along well with others, can be stubborn and prideful.

Reputation: Hunter doesn't win friends with his rough and taciturn personality, but he's a staunch ally to have around. He doesn't back down from what he thinks is right, he supports the few people he calls friends with everything he has, and he makes really, really tasty spiced, smoked meat snacks.  Plus, if something is broken, he can usually fix it (as long as it's not electronics), and he won't rake any other Fables over the coals when it comes to pricing; he knows how to get by on basically nothing.

Personality: When the Fables were not reduced to their current situation, the tales in which Hunter dwelled in featured him as a solo protagonist (and occasional antagonist), and these long stretches of time spent on his own show through in his taciturn personality. He is not very social, because he has always been the 'lone wolf'; one of his greatest challenges in adapting to this new situation will be to learn how to live in an actual community.

Self sufficient in the extreme, there are some who could call him a perfectionist. The fact that he shows no humbleness in his ability to take care of himself, and to do everything for himself has also made him appear as quite the braggart.

However, beneath that rough exterior is a smoother interior. Beneath it all is a man for whom the word promise has an almost magical power to it; someone who does care, even if he does not show it; and above all, someone who is actually hurt, but refuses to show it to the world outside, for fear that such weakness could bring harm to him.

Bio: Hunter can't recall have any parents of his own; for as long as he's known existence, he has lived in the woods, alone. Some times it is the jungle; some times, it is evergreens; some times, it is oaks. Always the woods, almost always alone. Some times, he has had the companionship of a wolf, or a hound of some sort; at other times, a horse, or other riding animal.  But rare were the times he interacted with other humans.

Then, The Nothing came, and changed all that. Now his world, once simple, has been rendered infinitely complex, and he must learn how to adapt to a world that is much more than trees and beasts.

Likes: Nature, flowers, the thrill of the hunt, meat, berries.

Dislikes Too much noise, complex technology (cars, computers, TV, etc), crowds, "normies" (Non-fables).
