((I guess I will firstly put out some info about my character then. XD ))

Podo Brockhous is a hobbit of young age, he had his 18th birthday last month. His hair are messy and of a dark brown shade, this goes very well with his green eyes. As the son of a farmer he is always dressed in simple brown pants, a gray shirt and a brown west on that. Just like all other hobbits he do not use shoes since the feet do not need that. As a person Podo do not speak much, he never make a fuzz about himself and does not speak in an impolite manner. Podo is known around the village to be a great poet and singer, but it is rare that he shows this in public because he is too shy. He have had good eye for one special hobbit in the village for a long time, they have talked and knows each other a little...but he is sure that the person would never like him as anything more then a friend.

((Hope that will do? Hehehe))

Podo had been working on the families farm for most part of the day, he was really tired and because of the heat he had been forced to take off the west and open up the shirt. As he was now done the young hobbit walked down the path from the farm towards the village, he had to buy a few things for his mother at the village store.

Melva Overhill was just carrying the wash outside to hang on the line to dry when she saw Podo walking by.  Eyes going wide, she dropped the basket and turned, her auburn hair flying behind her as she ran back to hide inside the entrance.

Her eyes traveled over the young hobbit as he walked, seeming to have a small swagger in his step.  She had secretly admired him for a while now, but she wouldn't dare tell anyone.  She was too soft spoken to say more than a word or two to any of the passersby that walked along the path pass their house.  Which gave her the reputation of being uppity, even though she wasn't.

Word constantly went round that that was why her family couldn't seem to find her a suitable match.  Because she was too picky and thought herself better than the rest.  The truth was, she would rather face down any of the terrible monsters that Gandalf spoke of rather than have to have an actual conversation with someone.

Podo heard a sound as from something falling and the young hobbit stopped in his stepps, his green eyes scanned the area too see if he could find the source of the sound. He did not see anyone around other then a basket with clothes lying on the ground in one of the gardens. He knew the household as the Overhills, he did not know the family all to well....but he knew about one of the children...Melva.

The hobbit noticed that his cheeks blushed a little as he thought about her hair and the way she used to walk. He had watched her for some time now, and found that he liked her really much...she seemed cute and gentle. But also from what he heard she had turned down all the men her family had presented, words was fast to spread in the little village.

No he could not stay there any longer! She might see him, or someone in her family. Podo quickly continued to walk down the path towards the village. His eyes glanced a little to the house once again and he thought he saw someone looking back at him...but it might just be imagination. The hobbit took a deep breath and almost tripped over a rock in the middle of the path, but in the last second he regained the balance.

She covered a soft gasp with her hand as she saw Podo trip, but he regained his balance and she was glad that she didn't have to run out there to help him if he fell.  She didn't know what she would have done if that had happened.

Making her way cautiously back to the laundry basket, she kept one eye on the path and the other on what she was doing.  Which is to say that the laundry got hung rather haphazardly.  She didn't care though.  At least it was hung.

Melva returned the basket inside and then looked at the list of chores her mother had left before going to the village earlier in the day.  Weeding.  She hated to weed.  Because that meant she had to be outside near the fence and anyone could come by.

Blowing a lock of hair from her face, Melva grabbed the largest hat she owned and tied the ribbon beneath her chin, then darted outside and hoped to make quick work of the weeds in the garden before anyone, especially Podo, came back by.

Podo arrived to the village, he stopped for a moment to talk to some of the other hobbits he knew...they talked about the only thing the entire village talked about. The old man Bilbo was going to have some kind of party because he turned 111 years old. It was going to be big, like really majorly big, and Gandalf was even said to come. After have changed some words Podo quickly made his way to the store, as he walked inside he pulled out the piece of paper his mother gave him and searched it over too see what he was suppose to get. Flour, Sugar, Tobacco for his father, Fresh strawberries and a bottle of milk.

Five minutes later he left the store with a bag in his arms and the young hobbit began too walk back up the path to the families home. He did not see Melva right away as she was weeding close to the fence. But as he was just a few meters away he spotted her and his eyes widened. SHIT! He quickened his steppes a little to get past as fast as he could.

But then it happened and Podo tripped over the same rock as he had done on the way down. He lost grip of the bag and it flew forwards along the path and the smaller bags with the things he brought from the store flew out and landed on different places along the path, the bag with sugar actualled landed inside of the garden. Podo blushed extremely much and he tried to quickly gather up all the things.

Melva let out a squeal as something thudded beside her.  Curiously, it looked like a bag of sugar.  Lifting her head to look out over the garden fence, she saw Podo scrambling to gather some items that were strewn all over the path.

Her eyes widened and she ducked her head.  Crawling on her hands and knees, she tried to make her way for the door, hoping to not be noticed.  That way he could grab his sugar and leave her in peace.

Her heart hammered and she hoped that she was inconspicuous enough, but the brim of the hat was pulled way too low and she wasn't sure what direction she was going in.

Podo continued to crawl around after the bags he had dropped, he soon had the flour, the apples, the strawberries and the milk. Now he just had to find that suger....where it could it have been? He searched around with his eyes on the ground.

He was just about to turn around to look the other way when he bumped right into the young woman, he was very surprised and feel backwards onto the path and was close to drop all the bags again...but he did not do so. His face turned red as a deep blush moved from his ears out over the cheeks. "S-s-sorry miss" he said with a low voice.

Looking up from under the brim of her hat, she came face to knees with the man she was trying to avoid. And then he spoke.

Her heart tripped over itself and she could barely stammer a hello.  Melva dipped her head, talking to the brim of her hat instead and tried again.

"H-hello"

Podo sat where he was and looked at the girl as she talked, he did not know what to reply as she suddenly said hello? What was he suppose to reply! The hobbits tried to find the words needed and he opened his mouth a few times as he tried to force words out, but nothing came and he was forced to try again. "H-hello" was the first thing he got out, he searched around for the bag with suger with his eyes, but still could not find it. ".....uhm....f-fine weather we have today..."

mkkdreams

Weather?  He was asking about the weather?  She tilted her head up and noticed again his knees and then his torso and realized she was still on the ground.  Getting up, Melva dusted off her knees and then looked towards the sky.

"Yes, it's very nice."

She wasn't sure what to say.  Or how to say it.  Did she actually expect to make conversation with the hobbit?  What should she do?  She took a breath and then blurted out.

"I'm sorry you fell."
