A few weeks ago when a friend came to stay the night she introduced me to this podcast called "Welcome to Night Vale." At first I was unsure of it but as I listened on I soon began to realise that this was definately something I was going to keep listening to.

For those who are unaware of what "Welcome to Night Vale" is, here is a little summary:

'Welcome to Night Vale' is a radio show set in the fictional town of Night Vale. The host of the show is someone named Cecil Baldwin and every two weeks he brings us updates for the small desert town of Night Vale, featuring local weather, news, announcements from the Sheriff's Secret Police, mysterious lights in the night sky, dark hooded figures with unknowable powers, cultural events and other goings on.

I love how that Whispering Forest that tries to draw people into it tries to compliment Kevin, telling him how kind he is and what impeccable fashion sense he has...until Kevin gets too close and the trees start to hiss about his eyes being wrong, and they beg him to leave.

Kevin: And I did, because I respect nature.
Lauren: (his companion) Vile, vile nature.

Kevin may be my favorite character right now.  :-)
