I love this time of year for so many reasons, but one reason in particular is the beautiful holiday music.  What are some of your favorites?  I'll start with one of mine:

This is my favorite holiday song because my best friend's mother (who was like a mother to me) once got snockered with me before the Turkey was ready. We nearly made ourselves piss, laughing and trying to hit the high notes. My best friend was not amused because we left all the work to her in the kitchen. (We had our holiday cheer.)

Now at the holidays, my friend and I both laugh about this when we hear this song. Her mother passed away from cancer just a few years ago. I'm thankful to have this bittersweet memory. This one is for Sue:

I swear I'm not being a smartass when I post this, but it really is my favorite christmas song.

Ohhh.. a thread like this.. like I don't already got enough of an 'itch' to keep attacking certain threads..
Toooooo many fav's here.. and this one isn't my absolute fav, but loved it from my mom's records when I was a little squirt... (assuming my mad thoughts of being a small human in the 70's.. is real :P)..

This song makes me think about my childhood at Christmas time.  After we'd help our mom put up the tree, I would crawl underneath and just lay there looking up through the branches at all the lights and tinsel and garland.  *Sighs*  It was a magical place to me.  :)
