Hotline Miami: Never Return Alive is based off the heavily acclaimed top down shooter known for it’s ferociously energetic gameplay, sexy 80’s art direction and amazing soundtrack. Our service plans to incorporate these elements in an exciting, character driven narrative, fueled with revenge, love and all the sexy violence you could ever want. The biggest influence on the game's story is David Lynch. Other influences to the story were the 2011 film Drive while designers took inspiration from the movie Kick-ass. Our goal is always neon and always stylish. The casting, props, wardrobe, the lighting are all part of our hyper 80’s experience that should transport the viewer to the sexy and attractive backdrop of a gritty and violent concept. Many themes are borrowed from the major films Scarface, Carlito's Way, Goodfellas and Blow, along with the hit 1980s television series Miami Vice. Hotline Miami: Never Return Alive also pays tribute to much of 1980s' culture in the cars, music, fashion, landmarks, and characters.

Immediate Cast:

Jacket: The main protagonist. Jacket is named after his blood-soaked coat because nobody knows what else to call him. The oldest memory our anti-hero seems to remember is waking up in an apartment with splattered blood on his hands and and no trace of his identity to be found. That same night, he received a series of job requests from the Hitman network, Hotline Miami.

Biker: On the surface, Biker is a mysterious killer yet inside he is a loyal man that has lost something dear to him. His rage for his missing wife causes him to use Hotline Miami to kill those that are responsible. He travels from phone call to phone call in hopes in search of Lisa who holds the key to reunite him with his wife. He is always known for wearing is Biker helmet.

The Pig Butcher: A fictionalized version of Jacket in the slasher/exploitation film "Midnight Animal," portrayed by a famed actor named Martin Brown who is in the throes of a mental breakdown.

The Fans: A gang of murderous vigilantes who view Jacket as a hero and try to emulate him.

The Detective: A police detective who is investigating Jacket murders. He is close friends with The Writer.

Jake: A large man with a choice of snake masks. He is an unwitting member of 50 Blessings, like Jacket though he views his mysterious employers with contempt and desires to find the truth. He is dead in the original story but will serve as a flashback.

The Henchman: A Russian mobster with no mask, similar to The Detective and The Writer. Seems to be held in high regards by the Russian Mob Boss, but wants to get out of the game.

The Writer: A journalist investigating the story behind Jacket's murders alongside The Detective. Contrary to the other characters, The Writer doesn't seem to outright kill people; many of his/her attacks are nonlethal. Repeated violence causes his/her vision to turn red and his/her attacks to become deadly. Normally, however, The Writer will unload any firearm he/she picks up and will aim to disable his opponents, usually by beating them with blunt objects.

The White Rabbit: A killer with an unknown name. He's known as a vigilante and has an impressive track record. He is known to wear a large rabbit mask.
