Looking to create a heroes roleplay group.


This guys would be the unsung heroes of a small town in the U.S. of A. (Town yet to be determined)

Brought together by an unseen force.

You can create families to deepen the bond of the players. Or you can play your own created family tied characters (max 4)

Powers should be original and unique. Pm or post here for more info.

I'm in. Got a kick-ass power lined up too. And if anyone else has trouble thinking up original stuff I can help out with that too.

We need some chicks, though.

What kind of kink level are we talking about? And is it more about heroing in general and fighting bad guys, or more about their relationships or just epic saving the world kind of stuff (like the original Heroes is).

I could always play a good guy and a villain both, if you're okay with that. The chick would be a hero and I think I could make up some sufficiently deluded character for the villaining. :P

Same here, If I get approved then I will definatly jump on I also have a character with a unique(I hope) Power set ready to go as soon as I am approved if I am at all.

I just read the novel about Hiro and Charlie, and not only has it inspired me to actually watch Heroes, but I'm gonna jump in this RP if that's cool. I see it's not an adult RP, what's the setting? Does everyone have powers?

It seems to me like this is a small town, a settlement supposed to be populated entirely by powered people. Kinda like the Xavier school I guess, from X-Men, except it's a whole town. Because of that, I'm guessing it'll be something of an adult RP since inside a small town, there won't be a whole lot of action except in people's bedrooms, behind closed doors...

I would do like you said and watch Heroes first, just to sort of get a bearing on the reality of the show. In case we end up making it similar. I would have suggested making it slightly more integrated, using canon characters and adding in a few OCs.

I'm actually working my way through the first episode right now, and I have no classes tomorrow, so I should be halfway through season 1 by tomorrow.

Believe me, once you get started you'll have a hard time stopping watching. You might just stay up half the night watching the next several episodes.

Dude, download it. Jeez, I thought you were watching the DVDs or something. Go to www.bittorrent.com and download bittorrent, then go to a torrent website like mininova.org or isohunt.com and download a torrent file of Heroes Season 1 and 2, and use bittorrent to download the videos.

I would but I'm pressed for hd space right now, so this is what I'm going to do. I imagine if this bad quality drives me up the wall, I will get the torrent soon. It's just a matter of what game to uninstall... *sigh* :(

It seems to me that there should be some backstory to begin the roleplay with so everyone kind of understands the underlying plot. Not to mention there should be a place where all the profiles are listed so people don't get confused.

Well the OOC thread, RP thread and that profiles/info thread should all be inter-linked. Each of them should have links to the other two for easy access; last time I checked they didn't have them but if you already took care of that, kudos.
