Callie Del Noire

The scent of salt air in the mid-pacific. literally 100s of miles from anywhere close to land. At night. Or the soft scent of thunder on a summer storm in the Carolinas.

Stalker

Axe... And food cooking. Great smells.

SummerWhispers

Sugar cookies, as they are baking.

I don't really have a favorite, but I have several that would vie for the title if I had to pick:

Leather
Fresh Lemon
Fresh Orange
Cooking Applewood Smoked Bacon
Mint
Chlorine Bleach (I know this is weird, but I absolutely am in love with it. o_o )

Aida

An old library. Smells like books and paper and a bit of dust.

tazzlez60

Call me weird, but I have a few 'out of the ordinary' favourites:

-Washing powder
-Chlorine
-Most cleaning products

But I do have some normal ones too:

-CHOCOLATE!!!
-Vanilla bean
-Lavender
-Frangipani
-A clean house...... :P

HVBill

Freshly baked apple pie

Apple orchards

garlic

Bleach?  really?  I have never heard that, what is it about the smell that you like?

hannahbanana

I know this is not normal but here goes:
I like the smell of cat breath.

Beguile's Mistress

I love the smell of freshly cut grass and everything you all have posted above. ;D

I'm curious about this, however.

What do you feed your cat.

And this one made me shiver in delight!

*smiles and daydreams*

Freshly cut grass only loses out to either Chai tea or a freshly brewed cup of coffee.

Avis habilis

Fresh hot tar. Which probably kills brain cells by the billions every time I breathe it, but damn it smells good.

Also, a kitten. Seriously, there's a nice sort of baby-powdery smell about a kitten.

*grins*  That explains an awful lot.

Avis habilis

Hey! What are you ... uh ... um ...

Yeah, boxin's been good to me, Howard ...

hannahbanana

Mistress: Just cat food. I don't know why I like it. It is truly a odd smell.
I also like the smell of Juniper.

Sasquatch421

I'll second the smell of coffee.... I love walking down the coffee aisle in the grocery store.

Will

Maybe this is weird, but I really love the smell of gasoline. >.>

Also - lemon zest, smoke from a wood fire, fresh cut grass, ginger, basil, Italian parsley, and of course, bacon.

Silverfyre

Oh no, gasoline smells wonderful for some strange reason.

Beguile's Mistress

I kinda like the smell of gasoline, too.  Though that could be it's association with gas stations and auto repair shops and mechanics.  Cute, sexy, greasy mechanics. ;D

hannahbanana

Spray paint and permanent markers reminds me of bad boy graffiti artists. Yummy bad boys.

Armand

Any spicy food frying, like fish or chicken, or expensive/exotic herb. =D

Outsider

That heavy, impending smell right before it starts to rain.
Grandmothers cooking :p RIP.

Mm, they do have a wonderful smell to them.  One part leather, one part cooking smoke, two parts dirt and three parts awesome.

Mead or cider preferably!

Most definatly. Considering my gluten intolerance. And beer just seems nasty anyways. xD

Salvation

Peach cider.. I rather enjoy the stuff.

I understand all too well about the gluten intolerance.  Thankfully, cider is all the more wonderful to enjoy then, eh?

Jillabelle

The first smell of rain after it's been dry for a long time... petrichor.

Also, Christmas trees!

Salvation

I agree wholeheartedly on the aroma of Christmas trees. I love the smell of pine, and I also enjoy the smells at Ren fairs.  Noted that someone mentioned gasoline, and as odd as this might make me sound, I actually got to like that smell for some reason.  I blame that on one of my first jobs out of high school being as a cashier at a gas station.

heathenwolf

I enjoy  the smell of honeysuckles as well as dragonsblood.

GoldenKeyboard

My all time favorite smell?
The smell of an old, many times read romantic novel.
