Concept:
They only had one another, Kate and Skylar, and both had their faults, their problems.

Kate was a single mother, in her mid-30s, and it was always a struggle to make ends meet.
Kate drank a little bit too much, enjoyed parties, enjoyed men.
She really didn’t know how to be a mother. She was too selfish to be a mother. Her relationship with Skylar was less than desirable and it crumbled into quick destructiveness at times.

Skylar struggled with the woes of being seventeen years old.
She skipped school, or became suspended for fighting. She was ready to burn the world. How could she not be given her environment, something that bound her, and chained her to near impoverishment?

Then, he entered their lives. A stranger. A new boyfriend for Kate, and he was unlike the others.
He attempted to include Skylar, attempted to forge relationships, attempted to be a friend and a father figure, but Skylar was one to keep distances even if for the sake of appearances.

The dynamics would change when he would move in with them.
And the secrets that were once his would threaten to surface.

Notes: Looking for an individual who’ll write from the perspective of the boyfriend. Kate will be written as an NPC. A variety of themes can be explored including, but not limited to: coming of age, jealousy, voyeurism, age differences, and abuse.
