H, assuming you like my rather neat solution to your dilemma, which was based on your own suggestion that authorities might "turn a blind eye" (why turn a blind eye to something when you can legalise it?), and assuming we have Linda capture Veronica at the start, how do you want us to do this?

Because you want the action principally to take place in Monaco, so the actual capture of V by L would have to have already happened. Should we do it in "flash-backs", or just do one looooong post each at the beginning?

I can do the avatars and store them in an album in my photobucket account. If players have other images of their characters faces that show different moods/expressions/emotions, send them to me and I can make different avatars so that in effect you have emoticons for your different posts.

I am still slightly concerned that we have some people with no obvious reason to mix with the others.

I also think we might agree on a central location where the various characters might reasonably be expected to congregate. One suggestion is the famous Rascasse Bar by the marina (where the THEATRE DES VARIETES is marked, its on the curved brown bit below the last 'S' of VARIETES) and another is the Monte Carlo Casino (near the centre of the map and slightly to the right above SALLE GARNIER and to the right of SPORTING D'HIVER).

@ Chrystal - okay! Now thumbnailed! I chose a huge original so it was readable. I would like face close ups, not thumbnails of the whole image (which isn't 125x125 pixels). So you can see the face without having to enlarge the image. Click on that thumbnail and you'll see what I mean! That means cropping and when I do that I may as well store all the pics in one place. Also if I host all the pics it means they won't ever be deleted by the owner. Done this several times now my dear, there is method in my madness. Name in upper case as well, as per code.

Hello Black. Thank you for showing interest and thanks for submitting a character. I just get a slightly uncomfortable vibe from this character. I think he may be a little too unrealistic. First, if he has mixed parentage, despite what you say, that's clearly a pure Japanese boy in the picture, plus he looks too young for 25. Can you please find a photo of someone with definitely some Caucasian blood in them. They look very different from pure Japanese people.

I found this page earlier and there's some interesting male faces on there.

Secondly I would prefer it if he wasn't the manager of his own international company by the age of 25. Can he please just be a manager in an international company? He can be a rising star but please lets not have him as a kind of prodigy. I also don't feel comfortable with the business being family-run and him taking it over from his father in the future. This idea lacks imagination and has been done in a million RPs. Modern companies are almost never like this outside of American TV soaps, especially ones with an international presence. Can we please have something less unrealistic? I'd like you also to specify what the company is, what it does and why there's a branch in Monaco.

Once we know a bit about his line of work it opens up opportunities for the other players to find reasons their characters might know him.

The bit about "his" employees can then become about "the employees in his department".

As a person, Ryuuji tend to be indifferent and serious in his interaction with other people almost to the point of being cold.

This is okay if you want, but I'll expect you to RP in character if he is like this, meaning it'll be hard for him to make friends. That means you should talk with other players before the game starts to have some friends in place beforehand. If you make him a more approachable person you may find the game easier to play.

I'd like him please to have some form of key ongoing plot with another character, some story. I don't see this game lasting long as a sandbox style game so I'm looking for story here, direction.

PS: If anyone want to be in the list of the people Ryuuji knows, just tell me :)

Hm. no. What you should do is approach the other players and ask them how your character can interact with theirs. Please don't be lazy.

Once the image is changed, and you confirm you really want that cold hint in the character, and the business he's in is adjusted, and we get him a storyline, he's accepted.

Edited my character sheet. Thats actually exactly why I give him the cold attitude, Haibane. I want to give the impression that my character is someone who can grow as the story goes. Since his company also deals with slaves trading, I think its inevitable that sooner or later he will have to interact with the others and its there that I want to challenge myself at.

The reason I put the last PS there is not to have someone tell me they want to be friend with my character then I can put them straight away, no. What I want is to find who might be interested so we can have a talk about how to make the story works, I'm expecting that most of them will start as professional business colleague (Elias's character might be a good example since his is a car dealer, the company where my character works for can probably be one of his supplier, etc.) before going further than that. So the reason I leave most of that list isn't because I don't know what to fill them with but more like I want my characters to be open in his interaction with others, in professional sense or not. If you really want me to pick specific people to be interacted though, I don't mind that too and try to contact other players.

When the OOC thread is up and running, I reckon that one of the first things I will do is discussing with the other players on connecting ideas and how to get the interaction going :)

I will have the Casino Monte Carlo then as one public area for characters to meet - this will be closer to the city centre, the big hotels and the apartment blocks.

I will also have the Rasecasse Bar as another meeting place as this is down on the quayside and is where more tourists and boat owners gather.

There will of course be other threads, almost certainly one per masters/mistresses apartment or yacht and possibly one per business if this is needed. Your brothel Reia may well need a thread, as will Urban's BFA office I should think.

Using the map I posted, can players please begin to consider where their apartment is sited in the city, or their boat moored? There isn't really a third option in Monaco - the place is too tiny for villas and separate houses. It all seems to be apartments as far as I can tell. I will in time put up a map that marks the locations of homes, boats and businesses.

I'll ask again - is anyone interested in having the opening of the game set on the weekend of the Formula 1 Grand Prix? As a note, to those who don't know much about Monaco, watching the start of the BBC's or Sky1's presentation of the race or qualifying is very good to get lots of visuals about how the city and port are laid out and a sense of the style of the place.

Our world is 100% realistic. In addition it has a few small fantasy elements (such as the drugs, body modifications and any other small additions players ask for and I decide are a good thing). It also has Erenisch's style as well with women naked and collared walking about the place delivering their owners messages or doing their shopping, perhaps pulling small carts ponygirl style; owners out walking and chatting with naked slaves on all fours like dogs, etc, etc. Slaves may be clothed or nude and sex with slaves and abuse of them is acceptable in public. Certain establishments might have dress and behaviour codes although I do still like the idea of the casino with the men in dinner jackets and the women in gorgous gowns but still with naked slaves around. The slave staff of such places would be uniformed though.

When the OOC thread is up and running, I reckon that one of the first things I will do is discussing with the other players on connecting ideas and how to get the interaction going :)

Please start doing that now. Having an OOC won't necessarily make it any easier ;)

Double post. Meh. But I wanted this one to stand out.

I am close to setting up an OOC and a character thread. I'll be loading character bios up myself as I wish to use a consistent format and also anyone whose character appears in that thread may take that as my permission to begin using the OOC to plan character relations and networks.

I will do the avatars too very soon.

I would ask you all to please be patient as this players wanted thread has rather caught me by surprise in its level of activity and I have done literally nothing in my spare time the last three days but attend to this game. I'm fine though and I have the Jubilee holiday week off work (that's next week) and therefore I will be able to get this game back on track and up and running over this weekend and during next week.

We have 3 or so main (free) characters to finalise and several slave char applications still going through and once I have these done I'll have a good idea of final numbers.

I would just ask again everybody to please make efforts to ensure your characters have interesting reasons to interact with others. We have a potentially interesting main story going on with the setting up for the first time of a Monaco BFA office meaning that slaves coming into Monaco will be registered here direct rather than from the nearest French office in Nice. That should ensure some drama and maybe a shift in the power dynamics among the slave traders on the Riviera. There is going to be an interesting slave trade sub-plot involving 2 or 3 characters and then David Cornell and Kaelyn Richelieu will also be having a sub-plot over a long lost illegitimate daughter. Other plots are extremely welcome; I'd like this game to play out as a faced paced prime time TV drama rather than an ambling sandbox game. I'd prefer shortish, punchy posts that shift the action along fast AND god-mode other characters rather than tedious blow-by-blow accounts of a scene lasting pages. Th egod-moding aspect will require slick work in the OOC thread with players agreeing in advance that X can conclude an interview with Y with a certain agreed result. I also wish to remind players again that I'd like the city to come to life - please describe the bustling streets, the hot weather, the fast cars, the gawping tourists - bring in random NPCs and use them and develop them with skill. Alongside the porn I'd like this game to try and bring out the bustling style of Monaco in a fast moving and slick manner. It may drag you out of your comfiort zones but I want to try something fresh and punchy. Something different.

Finally - thank you to you all! Its been a fantastic response and I don't think I've had a group game plan go off in such an explosive and encouraging way before. You've all been awesome and you've all put up with my highly demanding character criteria with amazing good humour. Thank you. I should be delivering you what I hope will be a fun and furious game in a few days.

Background and Personality Notes:

Unlike his sister whose appearance greatly  takes after their father, Ryuuji's appearance takes after their Japanese mother making him very much look like an Asian born person. He was sent to Monaco by his father at the age of 20 to be a junior manager of a small division in the branch of an international trading company in the country which deals with import and export of various goods including but not limited to slaves, legally of course. Although he is not a genius at any rate, he is found to be a natural leader with great instinct in managing others a business, especially in the human resource and budgeting which is proven by how fast his division in the company greatly flourish in the rather short time under his management.

Just like the rest of his family, Ryuuji have no problem accepting the slavery act which is profound by how his company has employs some slaves to do most of the menial jobs like secretary, or blue collar labour. Although he does not necessarily treat the slaves in his company nicely, he does not treat them badly either, such as providing them some measure of meager salary, giving strict rule in his division that the other employees are not to treat the slaves badly, allowing them to have a lunch break time during their work and providing them separate eating room only for them to prevent them from being abused by the other employees. It is therefore comes in no surprise that many of his "corporate slaves" as he calls them tend to be more motivated to work under him compared which actually becomes one of the division's secret to be so successful compared to their competitors even other divisions in the company.

As a person, Ryuuji tend to be indifferent and serious in his interaction with other people almost to the point of being cold. On the other hand however, he treasures his family and friends greatly, showing them rare compassion and protectiveness that will seem alien to others who knows him. It is only to his sister however that he truly bares himself as he gives her the love and treatment above anyone else, something that his father apparently recognized when he gift the girl to him once she is off age to be slaved.

BlackLightning - I'm going to accept Ryuuji provisionally - but before you enter play, please talk with other players and arrange some business link or acquaintance so that he's not a complete outsider at game start. I want every free character to be linked in some way to another so that a meaningful plot unfolds, even if its just Reyes supplying Ryuu with a car and when he does, asking to try out his slave... which might evolve into Ryuu refusing but getting a slave for Reyes... but via his broker friend Rayn. Anything, please, that gives the game structure and allows players to have an ongoing reason to interact. Maybe he's a good customer of Kaelyn Richelieu because he doesn't like his male staff attacking his female slave staff so he's arranged with her that his men go to her... a mass regular booking at a discount! Something like that?

Okay I just need somebody to 'own' Veronica then. Just to complete the background and how far she is in her training now.

Could Veronica be fully trained and still in the BAF holding cells in Nice? Julien Sabatier has just arrived in Monaco recently and is setting up a new BAF office and she can be among his first batch of slaves ready for sale so an early scene would be between him and a trader in which she is sold to the trader and the trader then seeks a customer for her.

This applies to any non-owned/bought slaves too.

With people playing two characters it helps as certain ones (likes slaves awaiting buyers) can have a lot of downtime and the player can still play their other character.

It can just be a fait accompli; the fact a slave is aboard a slave traffickers boat or in her company is explanation enough of what has transpired prior, plus we have the character sheets as further explanation.

By all means make a brief reference to the capture if you want to but I'm not expecting a Dan Brown novel.

I'm a lot less bothered about links for slave characters since they'll gain interaction through whoever their owner interacts with.

Rayn will have business dealings with Sabatier I suspect, or will have to in the near future, so Rosalie will get to meet him and his slave, Karin. Rayn may have connections to any other dealer in slaves in Monaco, so by extension through her master, she'll possibly get to know a lot of people quite quickly!

Personality: Charming, quick witted, a Monacan businessman through and through. He drives a hard bargain, but he'll slap you on the back and buy you a beer afterwards. He can become quickly frustrated if left without anything to do, or without any control of a situation. He is relatively kind with his slaves, and lavishes loving attention on his niece, his current slave. If anything was to happen to her, he wouldn't know what to do. However, he is quick to punish disrespect, and believes fully in the slave system. Kindness does not mean leniancy. He also believes very strongly in family, and still visits his aging father and mother in Egypt on occasion when work will permit it. He lives a fast lifestyle, but he is one of Monaco's nicer residents once people get to know him, even if he might have to put on a harsh image for some of the less pleasant aspects of his job. Rayn's concious is clear about the sale of slaves. To him the buyer is going to buy someone, and the slave is going to be sold at some point; if he can make sure that the master gets what they want, they'll be more likely to look after the girl, and if its going to happen, why not take a cut in the process.

Background: Rayn was born in Egypt in the early eighties, long before the crash and the institution of the slavery laws. His father was a wealthy Hotel owner in the Sinai peninsula, and Rayn was his youngest of four sons. As such he was given only a basic education, but he excelled at languages, and always seemed to have a way with words, be it sales or stories. He left home at the age of 18 to make a name for himself. He was a headstrong youth, a risky gambler, but something certainly paid off for him, as he made a small fortune buying and selling luxury goods in Cairo. The slavery laws had began to roll out across America and Europe when Rayn was in his early 20's. There was much want for young European slaves in his home country amongst the powerful, but the regime would not allow it.

Seeing a business opportunity, he took his amassed wealth, sold his assets and bought a luxury sailing yacht, taking it to Monaco and buying his first set of slave girls. He ensured they were already trained and willing, then returned to Egypt, running "pleasure cruises" from the free states to Monaco. He had made his first million dolllars by 26, and the business only continued to expand. As the free states began to close their borders, he set up in Monaco propper, selling most of his fleet, buying himself a home on the riviera from which he could live out the rest of his days in comfort. He retired at age 30, becoming a citezen ready to live out a life of sun in Monaco.

Rayn's eldest brother had a daughter with his french wife who Rayn would see whenever they would visit him. Named Rosalie, she was a free spirit, much to the annoyance of her strict, traditional father. As she grew up she became more and more distant from her real father, but would find every opportunity to come and visit her uncle. At age 14 she was shipped off to boarding school in Paris, and Rayn made a contract with her father to buy her when she turned 18. From then on she would spend every summer with Rayn in Monaco, and he became a surrogate father to her. He slid into the role well, finding great happiness helping to raise her, knowing that one day she would be his.

As she matured into a teenager he enjoyed her company more and more, loving her youthful naivety. He bedded her on her 16th birthday, and since then their relationship has been a passionate one. She was bought from her father at 18, and now is his only permanent slave girl, although Rayn certainly brings home others for them both to enjoy. Rayn now works as a slave broker. Using a web of contacts people visit him with specific requests for slaves, and Rayn will find it for them...for a fee. He drives a hard price, but if your looking for something he probably knows a guy who knows a guy. He also assists owners who's slaves and daughters have disapeared, ensuring they are returned to them before the Gerdarmarie goes hunting and they become public property.

Your first idea is actually something that already cross my mind and I'm asking both of the guys you mention. I like your ideas about Kaelyn though probably with a bit modification like some corporate outing or hanging out after work rather than due to the side effect of anti-abuse rule.

I'm also thinking of asking Laughing Hyena is he is interested to be Ryuuji's close friend since I remember he was interested to be Mizuki's master so I think having his character as a close friend to the master will allow him some access to the slave or something along the line. I'll PM him after I post this :)

Spoiled to the bone, Darya owns a yacht, named Galaxy, several houses in Moscow, London and Monaco, a bright yellow Maserati GranTurismo and a massive bank account.

Her true wealth is unknown as she is the sole heir of her father's imperium but it's estimated to be around 2 billion dollars, all earned by exclusive deals in all sorts of designs. (Clothes, Slave tools and equipment, High rise and offices) Darya is a warm and friendly person to the outside world but rumours go about her other side, which is said to be as cold as the Siberian taiga in winter.

One year ago Darya won the Olympic gold medal for the long jump, setting it at 7 meters and 17 centimeters. Despite being still young, Darya decided to quit sport and focus on her work as designer. She is known to openly criticize the CFSL, despite owning at least three personal slaves herself, Darya still believes in a better world for everybody.

Interesting slave! It sounds like either Urban, Chrystal, Red, Black or Reia might be the person she first interacts with, so being a fighter she'll need a player comfortable with that response. I'll check now to make sure we have a dom/domme player who is okay in dealing with a 'difficult' slave.
