Private: (Daishotachi and darkvamplips)

[Daishotachi]

As he was finally driving to his sister's house, John started thinking about the last time he saw her.  He was trying to figure out how to react to finally seeing his twin after his service in the army. He pulls his car up her driveway and parks it. He steps out boots first, as he was still in fatigues. John then walks up to the door, knocks, and assumes the classic military stance of feet slightly apart and hands behind his back out of force of habit.

The last time he was back at home she found he was different but thought it was because of the war. This time would be different and he would be worse off. When the knock was heard throughout the house she came down the stairs happy to see him and opened the door. "Hey John." She said smiling happily at him hoping for some kind of hug.

As the door opened, John became happier, but his face stood motionless. Despite how much he wanted to hug his twin that he hadn't seen for a long time, all he could manage was to look at her eyes, offer a handshake, and merely utter, "Hi sis, it's good to see you again."

Why did he shake her hand? Maybe he was still used to acting like he did in the war she thought to herself. "I thought you weren't going to make it home." She had heard stories.

[Daishotachi]

John nods. A short recollection of near-death instances, where a bullet would fly near his head, starts playing in his head.  He says, with his eyes looking distracted, "Sometimes, sis, I thought the same."

[darkvamplips]

"Well come in." She said pulling away from the door knowing she would not get a hug. Maybe in the next few days he would open up to her a bit.

[Daishotachi]

John gives a simple nod of acknowledgment as he proceeds into the house. His mind was still fighting to be less of a statue, but the soldier continues on.

"Do you want something to eat? I didn't know what you like anymore so I didn't make anything. I can make something." She rambled on being a little nervous after seeing him after so long.

[Daishotachi]

John walks over to the table, sits down at it, and says, "Whatever you can make would be fine, sis." His lips twitch into a smirk, but only for a second. His mind was pushing for a smile, but it took what it could get.

The smile on his face meant the world to her it meant he was coming around but it would take a lot longer then this. She decided to make something simple kraft dinner and cheese. Soon the water was boiling and she put the noodles in it.

"So how have you been doing for all this time?" asked John, his mind and body still at war on whether or not to show any emotion whatsoever.

[darkvamplips]

"I've finished my school and now have a job." She didn't ask what he had been doing she did not think he would want to tell her.
