Lustful Bride

Ever since the creation of the D engine, Humanity has had a completely endless supply of energy to keep them going, helping mankind to move beyond our little blue world and grow to be a space faring race. By drawing in arcane energy from a dimension beyond our understanding it led us to an age of prosperity never befoe seen. And now that age has collapsed. With the invasion by the race of insects called the Migou, their Nazzadi slaves, and the rise of Cults that worship the Ancient forgotten beings who cannot be named, Humanity is now at the brink of extinction.

The New Earth Government has been holding the line against the space faring Migoo, although barely, and against the insane cults that ravage the land and spread their evil all across the world. The war never seems to end with even the most advanced technology of humanity barely holding against their enemies. Year after year more of Earth fell to one enemy or the other, becoming unrecognizable as it was covered in alien landscape. The NEG didn't want to admit it, but humanity was losing horribly. They even accepted the fact that extinction was inevitable. Until operation Oddessa.

It was nothing more than a reckless mission. A suicidal one by a mad general who told his troops nothing. It wasnt even an official mission, a small fleet of assault ships attacking the Migou hive ship in orbit above earth. The man wanted to die in a blaze of glory. If he hadn't blown himself up on the bridge of the enemy ship, he would have likely been shot or thrown in jail for insubordination.

Odessa was underway without a hitch and the Migou were caught off guard by the humans they constantly underestimated, with power armored soldiers and mechs rampaging inside of their ship, burning infant Migou inside of their own eggs, blowing up their hatcheries and slaughtering the unprepared insects inside of their own ship. Migou fled like roaches before the light as the humans went on a rampage all over the ship, letting lose years of pent up rage and hatred against the invaders of earth. The rest of the Migou ship pulled back in terror all the way back to Jupiter in fear that this was the precurser to a human assault. There they await for the

With the technology recovered from the damaged ship, the NEG an its best scientists were able to give a much needed boost to the Human war machine. NEw discoveres and advances came to be, with even a new source of soldiers. The Bioroids, or Synthetic Humans as they prefer to be called.

The Bioroids are living machines, VIs with a low level of sentience that almost look exactly like humans, save for the plastic look of their skin, white blood, and lack of the need to eat or sleep(though a few do it simply for the novelty of it). With the ability to deploy soldiers as fast as they could come off the assembly line, the NEG set up a new offensive, with the Bioroids leading the charge. They could not be reprogrammed by the Migou en masse and could not be driven mad by the cultists and their dark gods, they proved to be the shot in the arm needed by the Terrans to push forth and start the war again.

Singularity:

Only two years into the new offensive and Bioroids were already making up almost 40% of the military and even being assigned to police the megacities and even working within the government. Most people failed to notice it, but more and more offices and positions began to be taken over by Bioroids, laws began to change, people disappeared. Soon it became difficult to tell if the Humans were commanding the Bioroids or if it was the other way around, maybe both, maybe none. Perhaps even the Bioriods didn't know, all they cared for was ensuring victory and Human survival. Some of the laws were harsh, while others were good such as banning Cocaine again and other such immoral things. Only the future (And the Great Race of Yith) will know of what happens now that the line between human and Bioroid is blurring.

Operation Shield Breaker:

It is now 2089 and the NEG is pushing forth, intent on eliminating the Migou from Earth, pushing back the Rapient Storm, the massive cult that has conquered all of China, and maybe take this world back for the good of Humanity.

Operation Shield Breaker is a multi front assault planned out by General ED-208, the current head of NEG military affairs, and a Bioroid, Your group will be heading to Antarctica to head the assault there against one of the Migou strongholds. There is no failure allowed, only victory or death.

Just got into CthulhuTech and my mind went wild with ideas so, hope this is good if anyone wants to GM and such. No players shouldn't be saving the world since that kind of defeats some of the purpose of the setting but they will be one cog in the machine, which will just put all sides inevitably back to square one, everyone fighting everyone in a back and forth push.

I might edit this post later on for clarity and other such things but feel free to post if you want :P

NOTE: Players can play as either Human, Nazzadi, or Bioroid.

I'd love a chance to play if you can find a GM, Bride.  :)

Glad to hear it. :)

Also if anyone still is confused by the bioroids, just think of them like Bishop from Aliens.

Uuh, Just going to point this out incase anyone is unaware: The system in CT is... horribad, like really really bad. Almost unplayable. Its so bad there are situations where more skill/dice means you will have a lower chance of pulling off a test than if you invested less into it. And thats really like, the one thing you have to get right with a system.

Alot of people hack it into 40k's D% system, Fate, or any number of other things. Just going to toss that out as a word from someone whos been there.

Which is probably why it would have to be Freeform or at least a much simpler system. Like for babies simple :P

If someone can pull this together, freeform... I'm in as a player :)

*Cries at all the people asking for free form.* :P

I come running when I saw Cthulhutech, but my guy is an Eldritch Society and Arcane Underground character... They're an on-the-clock Operator and PI.

Maybe next time.  :-)
