Ok so i'm a tad bored and naggy! Feel the wrath of my venting! (Please don't take anything seriously, just getting things off my chest in a geekly fashion).

QuoteNearby questgivers that are awaiting your return are shown as a question mark on your mini-map.

I've always been curious, why a question mark for a quest completion!? Serious, I get the Exclamation mark... but a question mark?

QuoteYour spell casting can be cancelled by moving, jumping or hitting the escape key.

Unless you're a certain class casting certain spells, then moving will have you pilling a boss under the notion it'd cancel. Don't act like you haven't done this!

QuoteClicking on a player name in the chat window lets you send a private message to them.

I don't have issues with this! Which is an issue in itself for my frustrations!

QuoteIf you <Shift>Click on a player name in the chat window it tells you additional information about them.

Unless they're in a realm that isn't linked to yours, then you get like "0 Players found".

QuoteYou can <Control>Click on an item to see how you would look wearing that item.

For those who are sexier than you, and you are jelly!

QuoteAn item with its name in gray is a poor quality item and generally can be sold to a vendor.

Grey Items are poor, is that racist?

QuoteAn item with its name in white is useful to players in some way and can be used or sold at the auction house.

White items are useful, grey items are poor.... this is SO racist!

QuoteIf you are lost trying to complete a quest, the quest log will often tell you what to do next.

And if it's a quest as useful as Blizzard's general directions as per their usual, you'll never find it. It's why wowhead exists... and to spy on you.

QuoteYou can send mail to other players or even to your other characters from any mailbox in game.

And you can charge them to read it!

QuoteYou can <Shift>Click on an item to place an item link into a chat message.

Upvote!

QuoteYou can remove a friendly spell enhancement on yourself by right-clicking on the spell effect icon.

Not all, but most.

QuoteWhen you learn a profession or secondary skill the button that allows you to perform that skill is found in the general tab of your spellbook.

Or just, right click the things you can do it to. Seriously....

QuoteAll of your action bars can have their hotkeys remapped in the key bindings interface.

Yeah i'm too much of a blonde and noob to figure that out, I only found out what a keybind and hotkey was a few years ago!

QuoteIf a profession trainer cannot teach you any more, they will generally tell you where to go to get further training.

Or tell you nothing at all... wowhead!

QuoteOn your character sheet is a reputation tab that tells you your status with different groups.

And hide ones you can't get, leaving you ignorant to unfulfilled desires of being an exalted badass through conventions of mass murder!

QuoteYou can use the Tab key to select nearby enemies in front of you.

Just don't expect to target the one you want!

QuoteIf you are having trouble finding something in a capital city, try asking a guard for directions.

Yeah, guards are good... unless you're getting violently assaulted. Then their prayers are with you...

QuoteYou can perform many fun actions with the emote system, for instance you can type /dance to dance.

Dancing nude for gold is now an outdated means of acquiring currency in the streets of Stormwind. Now the homeless live in Westfall! Good job King of the Alliance!

QuoteA Blizzard employee will NEVER ask for your password.

That won't stop stupid people.... nothing stops stupid people.... nothing!

QuoteYou can only know two professions at a time, but you can learn all of the secondary skills (archaeology, fishing, cooking and first-aid).

Tired of doing chores for NPC's too lazy to do it themselves? Try working for the man in a virtual world! There's so many variations on how to bend yourself over!

QuoteYou can right-click on a beneficial spell that has been cast on you to dismiss it.

Yay, a more to the point version of what you already told me!

QuoteThe interface options menu <ESC> has lots of ways to customize your game play.

Unless you have a target, are Hearthing, your bags are open and said target is attacking you... then you have to press esc about six times to get to that menu.

QuoteYou can turn off the slow scrolling of quest text in the interface options menu.

I've been playing for ten years, i've never seen this pop up.....

QuoteSpend your talent points carefully as once your talents are chosen, you must spend gold to unlearn them.

Ahahahahahah! Does this one even appear anymore?

QuoteA mail icon next to the minimap means you have new mail. Visit a mailbox to retrieve it.

Looks like an envelope, there, fixed.

QuoteYou can add additional action bars to your game interface from the interface options menu.

Used to be handy when every class HAD all their abilities.... they've since been cut and I struggle to fill 1-2 bars...

QuoteIf you hold down <Shift> while right-clicking on a target to loot, you will automatically loot all items on the target.

Or just put auto-loot on and shift-right-click to NOT auto loot. This is more viable.

QuoteYour character can eat and drink at the same time.

Try it in rl, I dare you....

QuoteIf you enjoyed playing with someone, put them on your friends list!

And they'll likely ignore you, cause they didn't add you.

QuoteUse the Looking for Group interface ("I" Hotkey) to find a group or add more players to your group.

For those who don't have friends...

QuoteThere are a number of different loot options when in a group. The group leader can right-click their own portrait to change the options.

Yeah, like two. Personal or group. Is master loot still a thing?

QuoteYou can choose not to display your helm and/or cloak with an option from the interface options menu.

You can cast aside the safety of an ugly helm to show the world just how sexy you are! Worth it!!

QuoteYou can target members of your party with the function keys. F1 targets you; F2 targets the second party member.

Eh, not so handy if you use the function keys as abilities.

QuoteBeing polite while in a group with others will get you invited back!

No, no it won't. In my experience and like many others, politeness MAY stave off being booted. That's how bad the community has gotten.

QuoteRemember to take all things in moderation (even World of Warcraft!)

Yes, and while moderating your Wow time, you can experience the fullness of getting nowhere fast. If you want to get anywhere, you may have to give up your family and friends.

QuoteYou can click on a faction in the reputation pane to get additional information and options about that faction.

"These guys hate those guys, kill them and earn their respect for gear you won't need."

QuoteA monster with a silver dragon around its portrait is a rare monster with better than average treasure.

Average treasure being Poor grey items.

QuoteIf you mouse over a chat pane it will become visible and you can right-click on the chat pane tab for options.

I... what? I'm confused.

QuoteSharing an account with someone else can compromise its security.

yeah, they might log in and you'll flip out about being hacked.

QuoteYou can display the duration of beneficial spells on you from the interface options menu.

Yes, yes you can.

QuoteYou can lock your action bar so you don't accidentally move spells. This is done using the interface options menu.

*Moves spell mid raid boss, suddenly the chat's swearing multiplies*

QuoteYou can assign a Hotkey to toggle locking/unlocking your action bar. Just look in the Key Bindings options to set it.

Just use shift-click on locked bars.

QuoteYou can cast a spell on yourself without deselecting your current target by holding down <Alt> while pressing your hotkey.

I will never learn how to do this... I probably should.

QuoteEnsure that all party members are on the same stage of an escort quest before beginning it.

Ruining people's day on quest at a time!

QuoteYou're much less likely to encounter wandering monsters while following a road.

"Less likely"... remember that.

QuoteKilling guards gives no honor.

And flag you so others can beat you up!

QuoteYou can hide your interface with <Alt>Z and take screenshots with <Print Screen>.

Show your friends just how sexy or bored you are!

QuoteTyping /macro will bring up the interface to create macros.

But good luck making them!

QuoteEnemy players whose names appear in gray are much lower level than you are and will not give honor when killed.

Ruin someone's day, plant your camp an go nuts!

QuoteFrom the Raid UI you can drag a player to the game field to see their status or drag a class icon to see all members of that class.

totally

QuoteA blue question mark above a quest giver means the quest is repeatable.

Tired of doing chores for lazy npc's? Do the same one over and over again!

QuoteUse the assist button (F key) while targeting another player, and it will target the same target as that player.

Wanna be lazy with a friend? Now you can!

Quote<Shift>Clicking on an item being sold by a vendor will let you select how many of that item you wish to purchase.

NO! *Spams right click*

QuotePlaying in a battleground on its holiday weekend increases your honor gained.

Or more likely engage yourself on one of two scenarios;

People bitching about how you all suck and telling you to delete your account for even bothering to show up.

Or

Get a "gg".

Cause punishing people is a lot more important than rewarding them.

QuoteIf you are having trouble fishing in an area, try attaching a lure to your fishing pole.

And increase your fishing skill enough not really helpful to your troubles.

QuoteYou can view messages you previously sent in chat by pressing <Alt> and the up arrow key.

scroll up your chat box...

QuoteYou can Shift-Click on an item stack to split it into smaller stacks.

So handy

QuotePressing both mouse buttons simultaneously will make your character run.

Caution: Do not use near cliffs.

QuoteWhen replying to a tell from a player (Default 'R'), the <TAB> key cycles through people you have recently replied to.

Make sure you are replying to the person you want before replying to your ERP buddy.

QuoteClicking an item name that appears bracketed in chat will tell you more about the item.

And if it doesn't work... HAHA they fooled you!

QuoteIt's considered polite to talk to someone before inviting them into a group, or opening a trade window.

Or if being invited to a guild, be prepared for an introductory speech, automated by their addon. And feel less important knowing you're just a number!

QuotePressing 'v' will toggle the display of a health bar over nearby enemies.

And press it again to toggle it off!

QuoteYour items do not suffer durability damage when you are killed by an enemy player.

But the spit or tea bag they give your corpse might.

Quote<Shift>click on a quest in your quest log to toggle quest tracking for that quest.

And fill up your screen with tracked items...

QuoteThere is no cow level.

Blizzard... I had a dream once. A dream of murdering cows and hearing them scream in such a humorous way that I don't feel bad about slaughtering live beef. But you killed that dream, I may never love again.

QuoteThe auction houses in each of your faction's major cities are linked together.

Rip off your fellow player with items you don't need!

QuoteNearby questgivers that are awaiting your return are shown as a yellow question mark on your mini-map.

Unless enemy players are ruining your day by killing the Quest giver, then haw haw!

QuoteQuests completed at maximum level award money instead of experience.

But the additional gold will only be double the 30 copper it would of usually given you.

Quote<Shift>-B will open all your bags at once.

Try doing this one in rl!

QuoteWhen interacting with other players a little kindness goes a long way!

When someone's telling you you suck and defining how retarded you are, don't forget to be polite!

QuoteBring your friends to Azeroth, but don't forget to go outside Azeroth with them as well.

A friend of yours has no life? Give him/her one... mwahahahahahahah

QuoteIf you keep an empty mailbox, the mail icon will let you know when you have new mail waiting!

Repeat much!

QuoteNever give another player your account information.

They'll like, take all your stuffs.

QuoteWhen a player not in your group damages a monster before you do, it will display a gray health bar and you will get no loot or experience from killing it.

Get monster tags before others do, no one cares about you but you. Steal shit fast!

QuoteYou can see the spell that your current target is casting by turning on the 'Show Enemy Cast Bar' options in the basic interface options.

So useful it feels like cheating.

QuoteYou can see the target of your current target by turning on the 'Show Target of Target' option in the advanced interface options tab.

So useful you should be banned!

QuoteYou can access the map either by clicking the map button in the upper left of the mini-map or by hitting the 'M' key.

"Mmm"

"ap"

"Map!"

QuoteMany high level dungeons have a heroic mode setting. Heroic mode dungeons are tuned for level 70 players and have improved loot.

I'm 110, so... this is outdated.

QuoteSpend your honor points for powerful rewards at the Champion's Hall (Alliance) or Hall of Legends (Horde).

Outdated!

QuoteThe honor points you earn each day become available immediately. Check the PvP interface to see how many points you have to spend.

outdated!

QuoteYou can turn these tips off in the Interface menu.

Haha, a tip on how to not get tips... Oh Blizzard you considerate bastards.

QuoteDungeon meeting stones can be used to summon absent party members. It requires two players at the stone to do a summoning.

1.

QuoteThe Parental Controls section of the Account Management site offers tools to help you manage your play time.

Want your kids to see gibberish mixed in with degrading sentiments? Use the mature filter!

QuoteQuest items that are in the bank cannot be used to complete quests.

Which are only there if you put them there.

QuoteA quest marked as (Failed) in the quest log can be abandoned and then reacquired from the quest giver.

uhmm... yep!

QuoteThe number next to the quest name in your log is how many other party members are on that quest.

Can't get people to do what you want? Share a quest!

QuoteYou cannot advance quests other than (Raid) quests while you are in a raid group.

It's pretty freaking annoying...

QuoteYou cannot cancel your bids in the auction house so bid carefully.

Pffft, Wow is a perfect place for people to express the Jew in them. No one gives up gold, not without a lap dance first.

QuoteTo enter a chat channel, type /join [channel name] and /leave [channel name] to exit.

But don't ERP there, GM's monitor these places. Use Party or Whisper instead.

QuoteMail will be kept for a maximum of 30 days before it disappears.

Or is returned to the sender.... so 60 days.

QuoteOnce you get a key, they can be found in a special key ring bag that is to the left of your bags.

Cause you were silly enough to delete your present one...

Shift-M

"S"

"mall"

"Small!"

"MAP!"

Ingenious

QuotePlayers cannot dodge, parry, or block attacks that come from behind them.

Doing other players from behind is a lot easier than the front... hotter too.

QuoteIf you Right Click on a name in the combat log a list of options will appear.

They do?

QuoteYou can only have one Battle Elixir and one Guardian Elixir on you at a time.

Unless it counts as both, which most do.

QuoteThe calendar can tell you when raids reset.

Only editable by Guild leaders and those with permission.

QuoteCreatures cannot make critical hits with spells, but players can.

tell that to my burning face!!

QuoteCreatures can dodge attacks from behind, but players cannot. Neither creatures nor players can parry attacks from behind.

No one can stop you from manhandling anyone from behind... mwahahaha

QuotePlayers with the Inscription profession can make glyphs to improve your favorite spells and abilities.

Outdated

QuoteDon't stand in the fire!

The greatest universal tip, unheeded by the majority.

QuoteThe Raid UI can be customized in a number of different ways, such as how it shows debuffs or current health.

Be useful!

QuoteDungeons are more fun when everyone works together as a team. Be patient with players who are still learning the game.

Ahahahahaha, no. Dungeons are actually accomplished by working together, the fun is the victory it implies. Patience has no relevance to Wow players anymore.

Well that's it, hope you had fun.

Callie Del Noire

I miss when CC was vital for a fuggin dungeon..

Every time I do a LFG with my tank.. I want to club someone because I'm watching the Healers Mana..and they think it's a cue to pull to the tank...
