Muse Opt-out?

I noticed this option recently while changing a few things in my profile, and I don't recall having ever seen it before. I glanced through the Tutorials pinned posts and didn't see anything there, so my question is....what is it, and what does it do?

The muse tag is given to people who frequently greet new applicants in the introduction threads, and there is the option to not have your tag reflect that if you don't wish it to.
