New Justice! (A Future Justice League RP) (Recruitment currently closed)

This will be a mature story with sexual elements and violence, etc.

Haven’t you ever wondered what it would be like if Justice League members had children who grew up to take their place when they finally decided to retire from fighting evil and injustice? This story revolves around that very idea!

The story is set far into the future where popular Justice Leaguers like Aquaman and Superman have long since retired and have settled down and had children who are now young adults. Evil never takes a break, no matter the past, present, or future. When an evil far greater than the Earth has ever known surfaces to destroy everything, these reluctant heroes must unite to reform the Justice League. Personalities will clash, romances will develop, and truths will be uncovered as these young adults learn to look beyond the pasts of their parents and force a new alliance that will either save the world or destroy it.

So you are asking yourself? Ok sounds decent so far, what exactly should we expect?

WELL, since we are on the subject. Most if not ALL of the characters can be original characters if you so choose! BUT let’s keep in mind that Batman isn’t going to go around and have children with three different women. So let’s not have one character with Batman as a father and Wonder Woman as a mother and another character have Batman as a father and Catwoman as a mother. It’s just not feasible ok?

If you wish more than one character to be direct siblings, that is perfectly OK with me. Just make sure they have the same parents? As I just mentioned, let’s not get crazy with the parent pairings ok? I highly doubt Martian Manhunter would have settled down with Zatanna, or Green Lantern with Wonder Woman. I’m not saying it’s impossible, but if you have a crazy idea like that, then you need to provide a good explanation as to WHY your character’s parents decided to fall in love and have a child (or children).

Keep in mind that those are just IDEAS for pairings, and you don’t necessarily have to follow those ideas at all. If you are interested, please use the character sheet below and fill it out. You don’t necessarily need an ‘in costume’ pic for your character, though some kind of face claim visual is necessary so everyone can have an idea of what your character will look like.
Also for your superhero alias, you can come up with something original if you like, or if you are having difficulty with a cool name, I’m sure we can come up with some cool ideas as a group to help you out.

Oh and one last thing. The story will be set around the events of Bruce Wayne’s funeral. Yes I went there, Bruce Wayne has died of a rare disease that he contracted which led ultimately to heart failure. It’s his death that is the catalyst used for bringing a new team of heroes together to reform the Justice League!

Name: Ted Grant

Age: Physically he appears to be somewhere between his mid-30's to early 40's, but in fact is far older - old enough that he has championship heavyweight boxing titles from the 1930's.

Alias: Wildcat

Parents: Orphan

Powers/Abilities/Skills: When Ted started his superhero career in the 1930's he had no powers but was a World Champion-Class Heavyweight Boxer. So much so that multiple other superheroes have gone out of their way to undergo Ted's training for combat - a list of heroes confirmed to include the original Batman and Batgirl, the original Catwoman, all of the Black Canaries, and even Superman has had a lesson or two. Ted has also gone out of his way to learn other fighting styles including but not limited to Muay Thai, Capoeria, Krav Maga, and Hapkido. Ted is also an accomplish motorcyclist known for being able to keep up with Hollywood stuntmen.

However, he acquired some magical abilities during WW2 when cursed by King Inferno while on a JSA mission. Heroic magician teammate Zatara was unable to remove the curse but he was able to alter it into a form that was beneficial. Most notably, Ted's aging has slowed to a crawl if it hasn't stopped altogether and while he can be harmed - even lethally - Ted doesn't stay dead. As far as he knows, whenever he dies his body reconstitutes himself and he'll be resurrected as long as he dies less then 9 times "a cycle". How long a "cycle" lasts is unknown, but it is believed that Bast; the Egyptian Goddess of Cats, Warfare, the Sun, and Motherhood; considers Ted to be one of her Earthly servants and as such the length of a "cycle" is believed to be "Whatever Bast says it is". Sometimes Ted also seems to have a supernatural ability to see in the dark, once again this power is believed to last "As long as Bast says it does".

Visual Appearence

Personality: On the surface he seems to be a rowdy tough guy with a streak of male chauvinism, even going as far as to have been quoted as saying 'Fists are nature's problem solvers'. The tough guy part is to be expected as a street urchin turned champion heavyweight boxer. What comes out though is that he sees himself as 'in the corner' of the 'underdogs' of the world. Has been a guest trainer at several women's defense schools for example, and really doesn't like it when people abuse children - especially orphans. Amusingly, his powers may be magical in nature but he still prefers solving problems by punching them.

History: A street orphan, Ted was brought in off the streets by Henry Grant - a boxer and gym owner with more heart then talent. Ted though, Ted was a natural who was determined to make the old man proud - and he did when he took the Gold Medal in the 1936 Olympics for Boxing and his first World Heavyweight Championship Belt in 1937. He'd hold onto the title until 1941 when the Mob tried to make him throw a fight. When he refused, they first tried to kill him but Ted Grant ain't an easy man to kill - so they cleverly went for Plan B and rigged a fight so that it looked like Ted murdered his opponent in cold blood. Between clearing his own name and the coming war with Germany, Ted Grant decided to don a costume to help on both fronts. One of the original Superheroes he'd even eventually be a member of the JSA in good standing until the group broke up in the 1950's.

What nobody knew at the time was that at one point during his early superhero days, before he was even a JSA member, he took down a doctor who was tricking pregnant women into taking experimental drugs - leaving behind a string of miscarriages and bloodthirsty mutants. Taking down this criminal that preyed on pregnant women somehow got the attention of Bast - the Egyptian Goddess of Cats, Warfare, the Sun, and Motherhood. In 1945, on a mission with the JSA he was cursed by a demonic sorcerer known as King Inferno. The powerful curse couldn't be removed even with the help of all of his magic teammates but Zatara - with subtle help from Bast - was able to alter it. His aging was slowed to a stop, and now when he dies he'll always reconstitute and resurrect as long as he dies less then 9 times a 'cycle', and 'cycles' seem to be however long Bast says they are.

He's kept it on the downlow but he's been an active superhero ever since. He may just be a guy with a solid right hook, but he's also the man who could of seen Batman's left hook coming even in the Bat's prime. He's fought 'in the corner of the underdog' for over a century now - and many others. And now, the Wildcat is going to put up his dukes some more.

Sexual Ons: Women, especially 'Spitfires'. He likes the ones with some fire in their bellies and some fight in their eyes. He likes a pretty lady, but to really get him going she's got to be able to put up a fight on her own.

It's worth noting that this has led to a bit of a secret shame within Ted. Between his long life and possible manipulation of events by Bast, Ted will sometimes admit that he's fathered children with several women. He's not proud of this and is actually said to be a decent Dad when he has the opportunity to be.

Some Offspring of Note
Jake Grant - son by his first wife Irma Grant, was later murdered by the supervillain known as the Killer Wasp.

Yolanda Montez - daughter by Maria Montez, wife of a sparring partner with whom he had an affair. Believed to have been the daughter of "Mauler" Montez until a DNA test when Yolanda was an adult. Interestingly, Yolanda had cat-themed metahuman abilities, originally thought to have been the product of experimentation but now he's not so sure. Briefly served as Wildcat 2 until murdered by Eclipso.

Tom Bronson - son by Paula Brooks, the first villainous Huntress. At the time she was a were-panther, since cured, also giving Tom cat themed powers. The product of a one-night stand, Ted was honestly unaware of Tom's existence until Tom's were-panther abilities surfaced. Tom was for a time known as Wildcat 3, but had decided to establish his own identity is Tomcat instead. Is now retired.

[Rumored Amazons] - More a rumor then an actual known statement of fact but an Amazonian political scandal revealed that the original JSA Wonder Woman, Queen Hippolyta of the Amazons, and Ted Grant actually have an on-again-off-again-currently-off romantic relationship. Amazonian traditions say that Amazons are reincarnated souls of women throughout history who have died because of mistreatment by men they should of been able to trust - whether or not this is true is an entirely different question. However since then there are rumors that refuse to die around Paradise Island that at least a couple of the Amazons are actually daughters of Hippolyta and Ted, secretly conceived and birthed the old fashioned way. How true these rumors are is unknown, though it is well known that Ted is the only man who can get away with calling the Queen of the Amazons "Polly" without getting stabbed.

Sexual Offs: Ted is old enough to have seen the sexual revolutions first hand, but he's still not gay. Nothin' against it - just doesn't work for him. Also thinks poop and pee stuff is disgusting, and treads lightly around BDSM stuff.

Sounds like we'll be going the full legacy with the Huntress name as well.

Huntress 1 - Paula Brooks, villainess, opponent of Ted Grant mostly in the late 1940's. Later married the original Sportsmaster and had 2 daughters, but then she contracted the curse of the were-panther. The good news being that this slowed her aging, the bad news being that this eventually led to either her accidentally killing her husband or him leaving her. At some point in the 1980's she and Ted had a one-night-stand in which a son was conceived. Eventually the curse was cured and normal aging has resumed.

Huntress 2 - Helena Bertinelli, heroine-ish, considered a ruthless vigilante even by the standards of the Batfamily but her heart was in the right place. Fate unstated but implied to have been unpleasant toward the end.

Huntress 3 - Helena Wayne, heroine, named for a tragic young woman and close friend of both of her parents who would later take up her hero identity too.

Powers/Abilities/Skills: Mystically enhanced martial arts, Master Swordsman, Expert Marksman, Advanced Ninjutsu, Espionage, Assassination Techniques, accomplished writer/poet,  Malcolm possess a magic amulet that allows him to transform into a were-tiger.

Visual Appearance:

Malcolm takes after his father the eponymous Bronze Tiger, Ben Turner in almost every sense of likeness, he is roughly the same height(6'3"), possessing the same heavyweight type-build (240lbs). Not only does he resemble his father in terms of stature,  he inherited a few other equally impressive gifts to boot.

Malcolm dons a closely shaven almost bald skinhead appearance, he prefers not to deal with too much hair because he finds it bothersome.

Personality: Malcolm is a bit different from his folks in terms of personality, whereas his father was brainwashed into joining the league of assassins and spent the later half of his life in atonement and his mother a respectable role model despite her faults. Malcolm willing choose to become an assassin.

Malcolm is a highly disciplined warrior of fortune who can sway either good or bad for the right price thus making him a sort of wildcard to villains and heroes alike. Like his father before him he is an exceptional martial artist , perhaps one of if not the best, and in his transformed state he can tango with heavy hitters the likes of Wonder woman and Aquaman albeit briefly.

While he's not above the occasional underhanded tactics if commissioned or if he's fighting someone arguably more powerful than he,  he prefers to fight cleanly if possible. He's also known for his respectful casual-like demeanor with heroes and villains. He really isn't the type to hold personal grudges, he treats his work as just that.

He has no allegiances which has earned him many foes, but he's also a feared man few would dare cross so he's left alone-mostly. He kills for justice, or at least his concept of justice.

He also seems to be ambitious. Malcolm wants to use his money to start his own martial arts themed school for underprivileged youth.

Name: Holly Quinzel
Age: 21
Alias: Harlequin (Pronounced, obviously, Harley Quinn)
Parents: Harleen Quinzel and The Joker

Powers/Abilities/Skills: The combination of in-utero exposure to joker toxin, and Harleen's antitoxin given by Poison Ivy, as had an unusual effect on Holly. She has greatly enchanced agility and dexterity, to the point of being seemingly weightless, able to leap across rooftops and cling to walls as if she were a spider. She is an exceedingly skilled gymnast, a contortionist, and has a passing knowledge of the martial arts . . . though nowhere near as skilled as Damian Wayne, and her near-weightless state makes it impossible to throw a good punch. Instead, she's focused on practicing her throwing skills, shooting, and reaction time. She actually has a number of gadgets including sharpened metal playing cards, a revolver that shoots stunning rounds rather than real bullets, and small-scale explosives for dealing with threats that can't be defeated through normal means. Also, she's apparently immune to most toxins and venoms, much like her mother. There are some side-effects due to the sources of her abilities, though they're mostly psychological in nature, and she can generally keep them under wraps.

Holly Quinn is a petite caucasian woman standing at 5 feet tall, with pale white skin and a toned figure. She has long blond hair that reaches down to her firm bottom, and bright, expressive blue eyes that tend to always twinkle with mirth. While her breasts are particularly large, they're firmed and well-formed enough that Holly is rather proud of them, along with her curvy but firm ass, which is why she doesn't mind wearing the modified version of her mother's old skintight costume. In fact, Holly looks remarkably like a shorter, gentler version of her mother albeit with significantly longer hair.

Personality: Holly is a cheerful, unflappable, practically fearless young woman. She is friendly and outgoing, and utterly convinced that she needs to be the greatest superhero in history to make up for her parents' misdeeds. After all, if her unstable mother could be a hero from time to time, the more stable daughter should be able to be a full-time hero no problem! Still, she has some . . . issues. She occasionally has wild emotional swings that while they only last for a short period, suggest some real problems deep down . . . though she's always sure to try and keep a proper lid on them. Every now and then though, she just needs to hold onto somebody and cry for a while, before she can put her happy face back on. She's a very touchy-feely kind of person, gesticulates a lot in conversations, and generally likes to have physical contact with the people she's friends with. She may or may not be a little obsessed with her role as a hero, and (as befits the daughter of the Joker) the current Batman, and has time and again tried to initiate sweet superhero team-ups with him insisting that Batman always needs a plucky sidekick. To her, sex isn't always an expression of love, but a phenominal way to be close to someone. She's not about to spread her legs for everybody, but there's a reason she likes to try and glom onto Batman wearing a skintight bodysleeve for a costume!

History: Holly doesn't know a lot about her early history, or the end of her mother's career as a superpowered individual. All she knows is that at one point her mother snapped for the final time, and needed to be locked up in Arkham Asylum for the rest of her life. At the time, though nobody realized it at first, she was also pregnant with Holly and it was pretty clear that the only possible father was The Joker, somehow. As such, Holly was born in Arkham Asylum's medical suite since it wasn't safe to transport Harleen to a real hospital.

Growing up in an orphanage (helped by a grant from the Wayne Foundation) Holly proved to be a surprisingly cheerful girl. A gifted gymnast, acrobat, and sneak she easily managed to find the truth behind her mother's identity, having somehow managed to sneak into Arkham Asylum before she was ten years old. The guards found her sitting outside of Harleen's cell, crying and smiling as she had a happy conversation with her surprisingly lucid mother through the armored glass. As she grew older it became that much harder to keep her out of the asylum, as she made friends with the truly repentant and 'innocent' crazies, and tried to help her mother become stable, though never truly succeeding. When the current Batman came onto the scene Holly decided to take up superheroing as well to 'redeem' her mother's name, snooping into an unfound old safehouse of her mother's and modifying one of her older costumes into a new one for her. Imagine the surprise of the police when a new Harley Quinn showed up at a bank robbery and helped the police, only to leap away and avoid questioning in old-school Batman style. In recent years she's been trying to tag along with Batman whenever possible, and convince him to let her fight on his side . . . among other things.

Sexual Ons: "Happy" sex, tall and muscular men and women, Batman, being topped, bound, and dominated. She's inherited her mother's taste for being manhandled and humiliated, it seems. Still, she's more than happy with just cheerful, giggly, happy snogging. She's has a bit of a thing for teasing, and has made good use of the last three years to learn a few 'adult' techniques like lapdancing and strip-teasing. She enjoys oral, anal, and even watersports with the right person . . . though that's more of a humiliation kink again.

Alias: Empathy

Powers/Abilities/Skills:

Speed Force Conduit: As the daughter of Wally West, The Flash, Elizabeth is a Speedster and by extension a Speed Force Conduit. The Speed Force is an extra-dimensional force that can empower its conduits with amazing speed. The energy received from the speed force have various uses, including shielding the user from outside forces while running at superhuman speeds. Elizabeth is wary of her powers as she remembers a time when her father was almost absorbed by the speed force. Due to a mental block put in place by herself, Elizabeth is not consciously capable of travelling at speeds beyond Mach 12. She has at times of grave danger though, been forced to break this block. She was taught to harness her powers safely by her father from a young age, after she one night made herself intangible, due to stress from a nightmare, and fell through the floor of her room down onto the couch where her father was sitting, watching football.

Empathy: Elizabeth has inherited her mothers uncontrollable ability of sensing the emotions of everyone around her. After intense training from her mother, Elizabeth has learned how to ignore and contain most of the pressure on her mind, but some times finds it hard. This has made her frightful of large crowds and made her cling a lot to her brother when they were children.

Elizabeth is a bit of an introvert due to her Empathy, but to the people she knows she's a happy and intelligent young woman. Only really feeling safe with her father or brother around, Elizabeth has developed a small brother complex, adoring her moments older twin brother Ryan. She enjoys reading, and dancing by herself when no one is looking

History:
Elizabeth was one of a pair of twins born to former Teen Titans Rachel Roth and Wally West, being born just moments after her Twin brother Ryan. Elizabeth was raised with her brother in their parents home in Keystone City, Elizabeth grew to idolize her father who was the hero of the city. The spitting image of her mother, Elizabeth often remarked how weird it was being the only black haired when the Speedsters would gather at Thanksgiving. While being a speedster meant that Elizabeth was fast beyond measure, had it not been for her brother, she would have been late every single day at school for oversleeping. Elizabeth was always the top of her class regardless of what she did, but thanks to the tutoring of her godfather Barry Allen, Elizabeth grew especially fond of chemistry. At age 18 she officially became a super-heroine adopting the outfit of her father, with a few adjustments, she coloured the outfit blue like her mothers and named herself Empathy.

She and her brother formed a team from early on and fought crime together, quickly gaining the nickname "Flash Twins" in Keystone City. When their father finally retired, Elizabeth and her brother joined the Justice League in his stead, joining the many kids of the other superheroes, some of whom they had met before.

XWW-12; Nick name ‘Domino’

Cadmus had obtained DNA from the heroine Wonder Woman and had begun a project to duplicate her powers and abilities. Twenty embryos, all females, were injected with a piece of that DNA and then force grown. Of the 20, eight did not survive past ‘birth’; eleven did not survive the fast growth process beyond the first year. Only XWW-12 survived to year four before her body showed signs of failing at which point the fast growth process was stopped and testing began.
It was clear from the start of testing that Cadmus had not achieved the full measure of what they desired. They had instead ‘only’ gotten a girl that shown she would develop into the very best a human could be, perhaps even five percent greater. Bordering on low level super human, she would not have the super power strength of Wonder Woman nor her ability to deflect bullets with bracers. What was clear though, during 4 years of tests, was that XWW-12 had a power that let her do nearly impossible things. An ability to alter things she could see so as to ‘break’ it in her favor. She could at the age of 7 dive and weave through a hail of bullets and take no serious injury.  Even when those bullets were set in a 1” pattern somehow they would bounce or change course. As long as she was active and able to see things there was almost nothing she could not hit or dodge or maneuver past or handle. They found that her body created a bio pulse of energy that charged her body and pushed it to super human dexterity.

Yet even with all what they achieved the subject was deemed a failure and orders were given to terminate the project. XWW-12 had been nicknamed Domino just after she began testing when she after one game beat 3 guards in the game. The nick name stuck since it was easier for people to refer to her than as XWW-12. Domino was a great deal smarter then she had let on, like Wonder Woman she kept her genius level brain hidden and with the testers seeing her as a child she was able to learn more then they may have wished. She soaked up the training they gave her as well as military tactics, history and all manner of things. She had realized that at some point they would deem her a failure and want to kill her so when she overheard talk she put into operation a plan she had designed. She hacked the site’s computer and sent a distress call to the JLA and hoped she could survive long enough for them to respond.

The JLA responded quicker then she had hoped and smashed the facility completely. She walked from the wreckage and looked up at the tall figure of Wonder Woman and explained who she was. The shock played over the Amazonian’s face and she was ready to spirit the 8 year off to Paradise Island. Domino though spoke up, she wanted to live or at least try to live a normal life. A fierce discussion ensued between those present and later at the JLA Base. Finally Wonder Woman agreed to let the girl grow and develop normally. A family was found that had desired a child, a Reverend and his wife in the city of Small Ville. They were told who she was and what had been done and seeing a child in need they happily took her in as their own.

Richard and Julian Simmons had wanted a child for some time. Close friends of the Kent’s they had often spoke of the desire to raise a gifted child like their son Clark had been. Richard was a Methodist Preacher and his wife suffered from MS slowly her body was withering away but she strove each day to fight it and live to the fullest. Into this family XWW-12 was brought, renamed Dominique Simmons and supplied by the JLA with proper ‘papers’ the girl child adjusted to a new life. It took her only 3 months to embrace her freedom and fall in love with her dad and ma. She helped her mother with therapy and at the age of 13, when her mother was left in a wheel chair, she decided then and there to do everything she could to help her mother and everyone else to have a healthy better life.

By fifth teen after a beginning investment of $100 dollars, 14 months prior, she was a millionaire. At 16 she graduated high school and went off to college. By her 21st birthday she had graduated with a half dozen masters and a doctorate in Biogenetics as well as being worth a bit over a hundred million dollars with businesses all over the world.
She used 5 different alias’ set up by CADMUS and the government when she was young and owned a shipping line, various rental property all over the world, a fashion house in Paris, a couple of tech firms all in one name or another hidden by layers of pseudo corporations.

She spent 4 more years building a research center for genetic diseases and training. Hard training sometimes 8 hours a day. Just after her 28th birthday, two members of the JLA were killed in a big fight in Metropolis several wounded others had retired. It was time maybe past time so she dug out a number that had been given to her dad a few weeks after her adoption. He said one night as he was taking out the garbage a dark figure walked from the shadows and handed him a card and told him to call if there was any problem with the girl or she did anything strange. As the figure moved a bit more into the light her father’ said he was shocked for it was Batman. Dad had already been warned that the girl was ‘different’ but Batman was much clearer with his warning and yet in 20 years dad had never used the number.

She did not know if after all this time anyone would even answer or care but she called it, after the 4th ring a deep male voice asked, “Is there a Problem?” “No, Sir. I wanted to thank you all and ask about joining the JLA. I think I could be of help…?" The silence stretched for what seemed like minutes but was only a few seconds, “Two days from now, Metropolis, the Black Hat restaurant. Two pm. Reservations will under the name ‘Prince’”
The line died and Dominique was left wondering who she had spoke with and what was next.

-Athena's Wisdom: Athena has granted Cassandra the same gift she gave her mother; wisdom, intelligence, and military prowess. With the blessing and the help of her mother's teaching, Cassandra has mastered multiple languages, leadership, military strategy, armed and unarmed combat.

-Hermes Speed:  Hermes, the messenger god of speed, granted Cassandra superhuman speed and the ability to fly. She is capable of flying at speeds approaching half the speed of light. She can react quickly enough to deflect bullets, lasers, and other projectiles with her Golden Fleece or the Nemean Gauntlet.

-The Golden Fleece and Nemean Gauntlet: Artifacts that once adorned her namesake, the hero Hercules, these boons were granted to Cassandra to help bolster her powers. The Golden Fleece takes the form of a golden pauldron and bracers, the pauldron bearing the image of a ram's head. The Fleece, like the gauntlet, is nearly indestructable and capable of reflecting most projectiles. The Nemean Gauntlet enhances Cassandra's strength even further and puts her striking power more on a level with that of her brother. 

Personality: Cassandra takes a bit away from both of her parents in regards to her personality. She always tries to be the 'boy scout' that her father is - selfless, kind, willing to sacrifice oneself for the greater good. If at all possible, she will attempt to resolve conflicts without loss of life or collateral damage. If worse comes to worse and lives are at risk, however, she will not hesitate to take a life. Though the decision will not be made lightly, Cassandra would prefer to kill one evil person than risk the lives of many innocents. Cassandra always tries to project a heroic image and uphold what she believes is right. She genuinely enjoys doing good and helping people. When relaxed and 'off duty', Cass becomes rather jocular, happy to share in fun and laughter with her friends. She'll be easy-going and fun to be around.

History: When Princess Diana of Themyscira felt it was time to become a mother, it was a pair of twins she decided to bring into the world, both a girl and a boy. While a boy was unheard of on Paradise Island, Diana had spent a great deal of time beyond the borders of her home and believed it was time for Themyscira to step forward into a new age. Wonder Woman crafted the babes out of clay as was traditional among her people, but to give her children a father she contacted the truest man she ever met, Kal-El. Diana & Kal discussed at length before working it out, but eventually they found a means of using his heat vision to put enough of himself into the clay to make his presence in it significant to the point of making the babes half him. A soul was given to each clay-baby and Princess Diana's children, Theron & Cassandra were born.

Cassandra has always loved and admired both her mother and her father and spent much of her childhood, like her brother, learning all she could from them. Her brother ended up inheriting more of their fathers power, while she had earned much of her mothers. Cassandra's focus became military strategy and combat. If Theron could be thought of as a Commander and Diplomat, one might look upon Cassandra as a General and Soldier. She has little political acumen, leaving her brother with the diplomatic duties while she moves among the mortals. Cass makes her home in Metropolis, going under the name Cassandra Prince and spending her 'normal' hours as a police officer. When real trouble rears it's head she dons the mantle of Herculine and takes to the skies with her bright red cape and golden armor. In these modern times she might come off as a bit old-fashioned, wearing a bright costume and helping kittens out of trees, but she truly loves being a hero.

Phaia - I can kind of see where you are going with the idea, I just need a little more. You went into great detail about her history, but there needs to be more about her, and less about how she grew up. Also, if Batman DID contact her, it would have to have been months and months ago as the setting for this story begins with the true death of Bruce Wayne. He would not have contacted her about joining a specific 'JLA' as it does not exist. Most of the superheroes have long since retired and Bruce is only able to patrol as Batman with the help of a highly advanced suit that enables him to move around without experiencing a lot of pain. If she had gotten a call, it would have been about the idea of a potential group being formed in the future.

The whole Cadmus thing has been done before as well with Superboy. I'm not saying that would have been their ONLY project. It's just going to be.. interesting to see if you can explain a little better how your character fits into the world BECAUSE MzHyde has put up an application for a legitimate offspring of Diana and Clark.

He spoke with his father and the two now have a standing respect for one another. Ras knows that his son will not go out of his way to kill anyone but respects the fact that Zack sought Ras out...While not as great a mage as his mother Zach is a powerful Mage in his own right and has decided to study his Fathers Lazuris Pit's and try to keep them in use longer with the aid of magic.

Personality: Skylar is very fun loving, creative, and full of energy. He seemed to pick up the flirt aspect of Dick, though he can be shy at first. He is highly dependable though, holding themselves to the highest of high standards in the world of costumed crime fighting, especially after receiving Hal Jordan's power ring, who was arguably the best member that the corps had ever seen.

History: Richard Grayson's run at crime fighting was hindered once more by a brutal attack by the Joker, taking multiple gunshot and knife wounds, one of which lost him his left eye [or so he claims]. While recovering, Barbra Gordon informed him that she was pregnant. This caused a hiatus for these two members of the Bat family as they brought their new child into the world. Though keeping in shape still, the world had not seen Nightwing or Batgirl for several years as they raised their child. As those years wore on, the last attack eh suffered from the joker seemed to wear on a little more in the aftermath, causing Grayson to have a limp, making is workout routines painful, but he still does it.

Dick and Barbra brought him to the one person they thought would be best for the child, as he became inspired by the tales of their parents adventures. Damian, now Batman, Refused to take on a Robin, even after being Dick's Robin for a time. "Uncle Tim" though took the child on, which helped the child's investigative skills, taking on the alias of Blue Falcon, inspired by Nightwing, along side Red Robin. Later on Skylar was presented as chosen by Hal Jordan's power ring to be the next Green Lantern of Earth. Hal was surprised to find out it was the child of such notable heroes that was chosen. At that time, at the age of 19, Tim told Skylar that there was nothing left now he could teach them, and Skylar was bound for a trip to Oa for training. Now, Skylar returns one year later, a full fledged Green Lantern and sported a similar emblem on their uniform variant, along with a new alias, Nightlantern.

i think it will depend on how they were raised up. who may be giving her a chance. maybe she tried to apologize to the family? iunno. the relationship between the two of them would be interesting. Historically though, I feel her obsession may have been slightly more with Robin, since it was often them coming face to face, and Batman was Jokers. thinking on it, i don't think Skylar would necessarily blame Holly, but..well who knows. how long have they known each other, did they ever get close? *shrugs* so many possibilities.

Like his mother he received the 'Oneness with fire' to make him a beacon of truth and from Athena the gift of 'Athena.' He can also emit heat vision from his eyes.

Trained by the woman considered to be the best melee fighter in the world by Batman, even without his powers Theron is a very dangerous opponent with few that can rival him in both unarmed and armed combat. The Gift of Wisdom from Athena has also made him gifted strategist and leader. 

Personality: The first male crafted into existence by the Amazons and a member of the Royal Family, Theron is kind and good natured, he believes in classic values of justice and honour above all else. When acting as an Ambassador of Themyscira he confident and dignified, when acting as a member of the Justice League he is a warrior born. While it is his preference to bring villains to justice, if he is left no other option he will resort to lethal force. When relaxing he enjoys banter and camaraderie, witty exchanges and a good round of drinks over a song.

Powers/Abilities/Skills: When in Warrior form, her Vuldarian powers include limited shapeshifting abilities by which she can create weapons out of her body. These transformations can cause her pain at times and can leave her drained if attempting too many in a limited time. She maintains super strength, stamina, and durability around Wonder Woman’s strata, the power of flight, capable of surviving in outer space unassisted, accelerated healing, and has access to the memories of deceased Vuldarians (proclaimed as the most dangerous warriors in the history of the universe).

Personality: Kyla takes after both of her parents, depending on when you happen to catch her. She’s a bit shy and prefers the company of a good book when she’s in her standard human form. She’s more one to stay in and watch a movie with a friend then to go out to a club or something. Though she does become quite noisy and vocal at football games. When in Warrior form she acts far more like her father, aggressive, outgoing, and far more prone to violent reactions.

History:  Her father and mother had the very definition of an on and off again relationship. Though they loved each other in their own way, they certainly could never seem to make it work as a long term situation. That’s why, when Tora found out she was pregnant they realized that they couldn’t get married and raise her together. Instead, they did what split couples probably should do, set out a reasonable schedule that each one could have time with. Every 6 months Kyla went to live with either her father or mother. From her father, she learned a love of football, and heard more then one raucous story from the customers at Warriors (The bar Dad tended once he turned in his ring,) as well as his love of teaching. From her mother she learned about her Norweigan heritage, along with taking the time to slow down and simply enjoy the small things in life, walking through the park, and just watching life go by.

Once she graduated high school, she entered an middle youth education program at the University of Michigan, her father’s alma mater. She seemed to be doing quite well, leading a rather normal life, both of her parent’s heroic days behind them (a few bar fights not withstanding that her Father was involved in.) During summer vacation, she went into a seizure during a road trip with her father. Medical experts were baffled, but her father recognized it for what it was. Her dad’s Vuldarian DNA was not quite as purged as originally thought and they had begun to assert themselves, propagating the race. Contacting Buck Wargo and Veronna, they took Kyla to the Warrior’s Waters, where she underwent the same ordeal her father did, becoming a human/vuldarian hybrid. Powers/abilities/skills: Thanks to an adolescence with the circus, Alexa is a highly trained gymnast and acrobat, although knife-throwing is where she really shines. She also has some training in defensive martial arts, although she is nowhere near up to the standard of the rest of her adopted family. Alexa is a thorough researcher as well, preferring to scope out as much background information about a case as possible before going out into the field.

Visual Appearance:

Personality: When not in costume, Alexa enjoys the company of her friends and is always eager for an excuse to hang out. She is steadfastly loyal and dislikes arguments. As such, if one breaks out she will usually be one of the first to step in and try to break it up, but she is also very capable of putting her foot down when she herself disagrees with someone. She can be a bit of a show off sometimes and doesn't need to be given an excuse to randomly practise some gymnastic routine in front of everyone, but this mainly stems from the simple fact that she is very proud of her abilities and believes that she will lose them if she doesn't take every opportunity to practise.

History: Alexa lived with her parents at Haly's Travelling Circus, being 'homeschooled' and trained for a career on the circus stage. However, after visiting the Graysons in Gotham when she was 12, she fell in love with the much more comfortable lifestyle of city-living. Not long after, Alexa's mother got caught up in a conspiracy to have Dick murdered, along with hundreds of other circus patrons and was arrested (See Nightwing the New 55, issue 7). With most of the circus' performers deciding not to hang around any longer, Alexa decided that, rather than face months of her Father struggling to feed her, she would ask the Graysons to take her in. Dick agreed and let her sleep in what had been, until then, a guest bedroom, formalising the adoption a year later.

Alexa is naturally curious and, after quite a bit of digging, approached Dick and Barbara with the news that she had worked out their secret identities. At first they tried to deny it, but Alexa stood her ground, showing them the evidence she had found. They agreed to let her help on the condition that she never reveal the secret identities of anyone in their circle and that she accept any and all training they arranged for her.

She has a strong intellect but much to her chagrin doesn't have the creativity of her father when it comes to imagnatively intricate puzzles, games and other elaborate plans. She's a budding interrogator and investigator as well, using her analytical abilities and intelligence in crime fighting and vigilantism. She's an excellent biker and a fairly skilled gearhead and skilled shooter with pistols and rifles.

Visual Appearance: Short and slim, with dark brown, almost black hair, brown eyes and fair skin.

Personality: Deirdre suffers from several behaviorial problems and exceptional social anxiety and awkwardness. Often mistaken for acting without emotion or amorally, she actually has plenty of both but has obvious trouble in expressing herself. Oftentimes, when she tries to show emotion or personality, she feels it is so stilted and forced it might as well be acting whether genuine or not. While she typically feels empty she does find herself valuing human connections and gets a certain satisfaction from accomplishment and recognition but finds her emotional highs quickly counteracted by fear and trepidation bordering on paranoia. Morally, she is conflicted as she gets a rush from the stimulation that action and excitement and violence brings her, almost regardless of the outcome and due to her ability to focus, can be relentless in driving herself towards a goal.


History: Nina Samfino and Deirdre Vance (not their real names) were once employees of a Gotham City S&M club before finding the life of entertaining others to be both boring and pathetic. Instead they pursued a career in crime, knocking off convenience stores and it was in one of those robberies that they encountered a young man later known as the Riddler engaging in one of his first crimes as well. The trio hit it off immediately, with the Riddler employing them as his henchwomen Echo and Query. For several years they teamed up as a formidable trio with them providing the athleticism and physical prowess that complimented the Riddler's intellect perfectly.

However it was never a match for the Batman and after one foiledfelony too many, the girls were locked up in Blackgate Prison while the Riddler reformed, and later managed to secure their very early release. The girls decided to retire from criminal activity and while Query and Echo remained close, Query felt somewhat betrayed by the Riddler and his sudden reformation. As it was, Echo and Riddler remained good friends, and for a period of time, were far more then friends, resulting in a pregnancy and thus Deirdre Damfino was born.

Growing up, her mother and father, as well as her Aunt Deirdre, decided to guide the youth to not making the same costly mistakes they did in pursuing a career of criminality but tragedy struck when young Deirdre was diagnosed with various social and behaviorial disorders, much like her father, though not nearly as obsessive and compulsive in nature. Still, determined to overcome nature, Deirdre was raised as best as possible in an effort to overcome her various behavorial problems by having her being both physically, emotionally and mentally active in academics, sports and extra curricular activities. Deirdre initially hoped to become a Special Agent with the FBI or CIA or some other national intelligence or federal law enforcement position but found herself blacklisted due to the excuse of her 'mental state' though she alledged it was due to her parentage.
As such, she pursued the life of a vigilante instead, having inherited from her Mother a great deal, mostly, a lifelong addiction to adrenaline and action and adventure.

Sexual Ons: Very open sexually in general. Prefers to be submissive generally and likes guys more then gals.

Moira’s younger years were filled mostly with travel as Oliver continued to pursue his own interests.  She first picked up a bow in order to gain her father’s attention and with Mia’s teaching she became proficient enough to gain Oliver’s notice.  From that point on, Oliver personally took over Moira’s lessons which included acrobatics, martial arts, and swordplay.  While Oliver wasn’t exactly the father Moira needed, he was an excellent mentor, at least, until the day of his permanent death.  Moira was fourteen.
After Oliver’s death, Mia tried to raise Moira on her own, but her failing health made her contact Black Canary.  Dinah was reluctant, at first, to have anything to do with Moira.  She still had unresolved issues with Oliver and the discovery of his adopted daughter only opened old wounds.  Dinah setup a temporary arrangement with her longtime friend and former mentor, Ted Grant.  For the next several months, Moira lived and trained with Ted while attending the local high school.  Dinah periodically checked in on Moira’s progression and began to cultivate a mother-daughter relationship with the girl.  After four months, Dinah formally adopted Moira.

The way it will play out, is that Damian will be shown a secret file within the Bat Cave's computer system that has a bunch of sub files in it that contain all of the information on the other 'heroes and heroines' who Bruce had handpicked to reform as a 'new' justice league.

Since in all of his 'old age' wisdom, he foresaw the need for the Justice League to make a comeback.

Damian is reluctant at first, but eventually he gives in. (All of this takes place after Bruce's death)

So he sends word out to all of the 'potential' leaguers to meet up at the old Justice League headquarters on Earth. Which is where everyone as a whole group will get their first glimpses of what the league will be.

At least that's the idea I had in mind. If anyone wants to throw ideas on top of that. :)

Yes they might know 'of' each other but not everyone will 'know' each other on a personal level. Most of the members will be meeting for the first time after the funeral of Bruce.

This includes the main use cases such as Stealing Speed from opponents, maintaining an aura that lets her protect those around her when moving quickly and prevents her from damaging the environment when she doesn't wish to, healing quickly, flight, superior perceptions, lightning quick mental capabilities, and the ability to create powerful vortexes of wind. With effort she can also turn herself intangible and even semi-invisible by vibrating her molecules. Additionally she can channel the Speed Force into attacks that mimic the abilities of super strength without hurting herself. She also shares the somewhat rare family ability of being able to retain most things she reads at super speeds.

Emotion Negation: Iris inhereted from her mother the ability to steal emotions from others. She can steal specific emotions, or all of them rendering the target emotionally numb - she's not particularly skilled at this ability, however.

Personality:
The opposite of her sister, Iris is an extrovert. She's firm, outgoing, and protective of her sister, as well as her family and friends. She has a fierce sense of justice and very little empathy towards those who would do harm to others. She tends to like to party and isn't the type to really hide what she wants.

History:
Iris was one of a pair of twins born to former Teen Titans Rachel Roth and Wally West, and was born just a few moments before her sister Elizabeth. Early on it seemed somewhat obvious that Iris was the outgoing one, and she grew to be a very protective big sister. Appearance-wise she distictly took after her father, and it was often remarked that the 'twins' didn't look much like twins. It was only when you saw their mannerism and interactions side by side that you realized how alike the two girls were.

She was always an early riser, which was nice because her sister was perpetually late. The two of them were quite similar, however, in their capabilities at school - though in Iris's case it was largely due to her strong connection to the Speed Force more than anything else. Though she did well, she rarely applied herself and while she has a strong general knowledge and graduated with fantastic grades, she lacks the book smarts of her sister and never developed the types of specialized knowledge that Elizabeth did.

At age 18, she began fighting crime with her sister and together they're often called the 'Flash Twins' and for herself she has taken the name 'Redline' - which is all that many people see of her as she zips by in her red uniform that is like her father's. Together with her sister they joined the Justice League after their father retired.

Chirp: The chirp is a weak version of the scream, it can vary from the weight of a boxer's punch to a small car being flung in power.  Technically she can even use it to simply punch through a lock on a door, but lock picking tends to be much quieter than that and therefore more preferable.
Voice Changer: One of the minor advantages to having such an incredible voice box is that she's able to change her voice and mimic other voices perfectly.  The way she sounds in her civvies versus the way she sounds while in costume is different, but it's simply a different voice, not like a normal person (Bruce!) trying to make his voice deeper and scarier. 
Breath of Fresh Air: Due to her abilities, Mac's body is able to process oxygen far beyond what other people can do. With each breath she takes in her body can use about 300% of the oxygen that a normal person could use.  On a deep breath she can use more, this allows her body to prepare for a scream much faster and far more easily...which means she's not out of breath at the end of a huge scream, not unless it lasts for a very long time compared to normal. (Normal being under ten seconds, long time being up to two minutes straight).  She can also hold her breath for longer and it extends her stamina by not allowing her muscles to tire as easily.
Hard Headed: Another way to combat the extreme stresses put on her body by the Canary Cry, her body has an extremely hard skull, facial muscles (to help "shape" the screams), and skin.  Although not fun, she can take a fifty caliber round between the eyes and survive.  She'll be knocked out, there will be a huge bruise, and she'll wake up with the mother of all migraines, but she could survive it. And while she can take such punishment, that doesn't mean a well placed fist, billy club, black jack, or 2x4 to the back of her skull won't still knock her out cold.  It just may hurt the other person, or someone punching her may actually break a fist on her face.

Mac's costume both pays homage to her mother's costume and has some flares of it's own.  She wears a one-piece silver swimsuit with a leather jacket to cover her arms, and leather, fingerless gloves on her hands.  She even wears silver fishnets.  However the jacket is black, and the fishnets are typically hidden by a pair of tight jeans.  Whether her hair is up or down or if she's wearing the jacket all depends on the weather that particular evening.  Though in the warmer months she tends to have her long hair up in a ponytail to keep it off of her neck and back, with no jacket, while during the cooler months her hair is worn down.  Unlike her mother, she wears a sleek, but identity concealing, black domino mask over her soft features.  Finally she wears knee-high, gothic-styled boots over her feet and lower legs to aid in the weight of her kicks.  Her "official" costume is the silver swimsuit and fishnets, but the most common one is wearing her jeans with the jacket.

Seventeen is when she became a superheroine, just doing very simple patrols as she got used to fighting someone for real.  It's a lot different than a spar, and she had to cut her teeth on real gang bangers that wanted little more than to cut her into a million pieces for involving herself with them.  By eighteen she was doing it all on her own (her mom having supervised before) and was shortly off to college to fill out and grow up really fast.  She's been on her own since then, in terms of being a superheroine, racked up quite an impressive number of arrests and captures even compared to some of the greats in their early career. 

She's not perfect, no hero is, she...like her mom, is mostly feared on the street but checked out in person.  She's been konked over the head more times than she can count, chloroformed, punched and kicked between the legs.  She's been darted, and hypnotized, and thrown off a building.  She's been groped and fondled, tied up and beaten down, but the percentage of times that happens versus how many times she comes out on top is...a low percentage.  She's never been terribly great at math, but she knows compared to how much she hauls in the badguys, the times that they haul her off is slim.  Plus she always always escapes.

We talked about it already.  Moira's parents were Ollie, then Dinah, and Mac is only Dinah as a parent.  In fact the way their histories line up, Mac is recently off to college by the time Moira comes around, it messes very little with the continuity of each character, but we've worked out what their relationship would be and all that good stuff. ^_^

Personality: Laid back, charismatic, with more than a bit of sarcasm in his tone.  J'onn tends to not enjoy going out of his way to fighting, but once he gets into the passion of what he's doing he's a freight train plummeting down gravity well.  He enjoys meditation and listening to 'classic' music which is usually music from the prime of Grunge music, Nirvana and Deftones being personal favorites.   He doesn't need to eat as much thanks to his martian dna but he does have a tendency to really enjoy meats when their just nigh under cooked style, no doubt a throw back to his family's more predatory nature.  Fire disturbs him, though doesn't necessarily bring forth the complete panic of his ancestors.  It does have the tendency to cut through his kryptonian durability due to psychological weakness.

History: (just a brief history, paragraph or two at most)

J'onn born to M'gann and Conner Kent was aware he was something special from the time he was born.  After all when you're mom traditionally is in her true form and your father manages to lift the car on occasion you start to  figure it out.  Not that there were secrets within the House of Kent, descended as it was from the house of El.  J'onn grew up with some degree of culture from all three his races, learning Kryptonian Martial arts from his uncle Clark.  Martian History from his uncle he was named after and how to be a decent man by the Kent's following the old form of John Kent the Grandfather figure that he could find no where else on this planet.

J'onn will sometimes do super hero work on the side, minor things you know, but with his heritage it tends to stick out.  Which is why he dons the trade marked appearance of his more martian human appearance when working.  Few people think that color changing on the fly is a big deal but when he can he just manages to keep himself still mostly concealed to keep his parents from having to slide into the uniforms once more.  On the rare occassion he's spoken to people he's saved he's used the name Outlander, to represent his diversified DNA.
