Anyone want to do a zombie story?

I might be interested in doing a zombie story with a group.  I saw a couple others but they got filled up already so that is why I thought I'd try and see if I have any luck with a group :D  Feel free to post here or send me a PM if you're interested.  I'd like at least four people before we could start.  I was thinking we could all kinda just 'meet' up.  All sorts of things we could do and I'd love to hear any more ideas!!!

I've never done a group story though. If you don't mind newbies, I'd like to imagine running from zombies, climbing trees and jumping onto roofs to make a leap into the river, to swim to the other shore, to get back to the safehouse, only to discover it isn't safe anymore  ;D

Personally, I've always wanted to fortify a Walmart in the event of a zombie apocalypse.  It'd be difficult but there's enough stuff there that you could last for weeks.

I'm still trying to find a picture and get an idea together, but I'm thinking about a character who needs some sort of medication.  Possibly anti-psychotic and she goes into hallucinations if she can't get it.  That way, once we get into siege stuff, something will have to happen to help her out.

I'm unsure of what the bio should entail because I'm unsure of the location, time, and circumstances of the story we're talking about. In general, I'd be a university student or maybe an independent, up-and-coming taxi-driver in a town that's still recovering from the loss of their previous taxi-hero, "Two-stop Andy". I begin in my silver and orange, leather taxi-driving uniform, with purple gloves, aviator sunglasses, and a headband that reads "I AM THE WHEEL". It will later be revealed that Two-Stop-Andy was my father, and yes, the town will get over his death. Only then will we be able to face the zombies.
I'm kidding, obviously. Let me know some details of the story - will it just be the couple of us alone, will we be surviving in a larger camp, will we be trying to get somewhere, will I need survival skills (in which case, I'm a feral child who has grown up in the woods and has ABSOLUTELY NO TROUBLE surviving and I can smell zombies thirteen miles away... I wear wolf-furs and howl at the moon. [kidding, again]), etc...

Despite my silly comments, I'm actually really looking forward to this one!

I agree with Meow -- let's flesh out a little more of the details.

My inclination for this one is to go with a Chat Simpleton kind of character -- big, strong, college football player kind of guy who isn't too bright, but who can run fast and hit hard and doesn't have a lot of conscience.  A little like the Woody Harrelson character in Zombieland, but younger and not quite as bad-ass (yet!).

Right..we gotta get a bit more specific.  I like the idea of us HAVING to meet up....like somehow a group surrounds us making us go into a walmart or something and having to stay there for awhile...the whole building could be boarded up...and now we are all stuck with 'strangers' who we are FORCED to live with for awhile...that could prove to be interesting...especially if there are conflicts

Loyal, but slow to trust. Once a good laugh, but time, loss and the end of the world have curbed his sense of humour -  now very dark and smiles as though he was just going through the motions.

Bio:Once a telecomms specialist for his company, he retrained as an engineer when they offered him the training scheme. A capable amateur mechanic and mixed martial artist, he has a dislike for firearms that stems from his difficulty in hitting the broad side of a barn. He lost his young family when the plague broke out - he was working on a track upgrade a days journey from the nearest city, saving his life but preventing him from being able to protect his wife and son's. Has been wandering ever since, looking for a new purpose.

Special Equipment:And old hiking bag he salvaged from his empty home, full of pockets and with some typical survival kit in, but mostly empty space for salvage, supplies and ammo. A steel pole he picked up on his travels from a machine shop - about 2 1/2 feet and 4 kilos of solid stainless steel that doesn't rust or need sharpening and caves in zombie skulls whenever they're in reach. Has his toolbox in his bag too, just in case.

Bio: Vix fits the classic definition of "geek" by some.  She tries to wear it as a badge of honor, for it denotes intelligence and savvy, but it doesn't mean that she hasn't had to give up a lot along the way.  Of course, little of that was her choice, because most of her friends stopped talking to her once her "episodes" started up.  She does her best to keep things under control, but that takes meds, and she only has so much money in order to get by.  It doesn't help that she can't seem to stop spending her money on the latest gadgets and gizmos the moment that they hit shelves, either.

He wasn't apart of any gangs, like other children in his situation, but was instead a loner. He fended for himself, fought for himself, and stole for himself. At the age of 20 he began taking odd jobs for people, and lived out of a small apartment in Del Rio Texas, which lead to his first real criminal job. He was hired to make sure a drug deal was done properly, which it wasn't, and resulted in the deaths of 6 drug dealers. Sugar was the only one alive, and took both the drugs and money for himself to sell on the street. Years pass, and he has been apart of all sorts of illegal activities. But currently he is stopping in at Walmart to pick up some toothpaste when... Havoc!

Bio:  She was born and raised in a house with about 100 acres of land.  There was plenty of drinking and partying in her days.  Long since she was born, things were blown up for no reason and always something happening somewhere.  Growing up with 5 brothers DOES have an advantage.  She learned to shoot quite well so her brothers also made her go and get her CCL (conceal and carry license).  She also learned a little bit about repairing vehicles, though isn’t –that- good.  Stella loves and adores her whole crazy family.  She doesn’t have a boyfriend (just broke up with the loser a couple weeks ago) and obviously no husband.  She's at Walmart this late cause she got bored and is waiting till she gets a call to where the party is at.

Special Equipment: A (pink) 9 mm (full clip of ammo) and her purse which contains a wallet, keys, and stuff that girls keep in their purse.

I would like to encourage everyone still in this story to edit his or her first post to include the character picture chosen.  It makes it easier to remember who everyone is without heading back to this thread.  Also, perhaps rather than continuing to post in the story request thread, we need an OOC thread?

Leesha:  Do you have enough time to GM this game?  I think it's actually managing to move along by the power of the character interactions at the moment, at least over the last day that's improved, but I do think we need a GM who will be active on at least an every-couple-of-days basis.

Is actually quite kind at times and is good to kids, moms if decent to kids and those in need on the street and not faking.

Bio: A two time loser she was raped several times starting very young, dropped out of school and worked as a criminal getting training as a burglar by an older man, who also bedded her as part of his payment. Turned out to be a good one making a fair income breaking and entering usually hitting up private safes, jewelry stores and vending machines it may not be flashy in that case but the money was easy. Hasd her first lover at sixteen a older street whore who turned her onto women and she stayed interested finding them far better than men. Is not a bad girl just a victim of her life and made the best of what she is.

Bio: Alex had spent most of his adult life as a firefighter. He was brave and believed that he had seen it all. He was the leader of his fire team and they were often the first and best team to answer the call. It was a call they were answering when all hell broke out. In the middle of putting out a large apartment blaze it seemed as if Satan opened the gates and let his demons spring from within. Bodies came staggering from the flames half consumed in flames and all dead. The fighters quickly rushed to save these people unsure of the horrors they truly were. Covering them with blankets they were only met with snarls and bites and then the horde was upon them. The fighting of the fire became secondary as they fought for their lives. Alex watched as he group was consumed and ripped to shreds. Alex wasn’t sure how he survived he just started swinging his axe and prayed for the best. It felt like hours but in the matter of mere minutes he was running down the street for his life. He survived but if the fire and zombies were any indication this city was going to be ruined. It was than that he decided to get the hell out of town and wait for help to come… surly help would come.

Special Equipment:Fire Axe, and a shot gun he found in gutter though he only has a few shells.

Sexual Style: Switch, she can be either or. She tends to like doggy style with guys and 69 with women, but any other way is great too.
Sexual Strength(s): She's good at giving head, and there's this thing she does with the muscles inside of her that tends to send a guy off faster, with women she's considerate, doesn't usually become rough unless she's hashed it out with her partner first.
Sexual Weakness(es): Sometimes she takes forever to make a move on a person she wants to sleep with, so making the first move on her is generally a good idea. And when she's rough...she can be really rough.

Personality: Isanya doesn't take action immediately when a crisis occurs, she always takes one minute, or two, to decipher the worst cases and the best cases, the worst being the grievously injured and the best being those helping the injured get away, and things like that. Then will she speak up or move out, aiming to help those in need and/or providing cover fire for the rest. With people in general, she's a listener, she will listen to the others' thoughts or problems, and will think before she speaks, which is rare for many people she's found. Often enough she will speak to offer suggestions, and sometimes to order others when the time calls for it, but she doesn't make friends easily, being so quiet most of the time.

Bio: Her home life was strict, moving around often due to her fathers' job in the military as a weapons defense specialist, so she grew up military and it was second nature to her when she graduated highschool and college in the top percentile. By age twenty, she was the leader of the medical squad in Division 33, and since then has been through three tours of duty in various countries, some of which were not friendly. It has left her somewhat scarred, but she adapts, so as to remain functional. She tends to wake up at night from nightmares, a sign of PTSD which she doesn't admit to her therapist. She was just heading back to Base and had to stop in at Walmart for something to eat when the Infection reached the store.

Special Equipment: A single 9mm hand gun, a pouch of ammunition on her belt and two knives; one six inch blade strapped to her thigh and a three inch in her left boot.
