This is an idea of a sci fi roleplay I would like to DM for 1x1 or small group of players who is interested.

It's a space faring "space opera" style adventure if a vast universe with a bit of Warhammer 40K / Rimworld and Lafcraftian inspiration. Leaning towards hard sci-fi.

Basically universe is vast and dark. Spacefaring is made by slower than light spaceships only. A few developed systems with some super-developed "glitterworlds" (post scarcity planets where enormous industrial potential basically makes life there is "haven" in comparison to life of a middle class in developed countries today), and enormous megastructures are separated by vast distances with most worlds ether dark and unfriendly industrial worlds were humans can't live outside without equipment, or a barbaric or semi barbaric societies, on the ruins of past civilization.

There innumerable dangers in dark and vast space, most of it's mundane like huge distances or mechanical malfunctions, but there are rumors of Chtulhu-style rogue AI's with ambitions of godhood, secluded hostile empires or pirate kingdoms. Actual aliens are rare but there also rumors of powerful alien civilizations.

Hopefully I conveyed the feel of the world that the adventure will be taking place in. Now Players will ether be a crew of an STL ship sent to investigate a system that went silent. There is also a Rimworld (videogame) inspired idea where a group of tribal (Cannibals?) living on a planet littered with remains of past civilizations ascend to power. "From stone age Cannibal to emperor of galaxy." (the Cannibal thing is Rimworld reference so don't get spooked by it you don't actually have to be a cannibal lol)
