I am quite interested in the Fire role. Will need to reread things, but considering that role is still open, certainly has me tempted. :) I can be a wee bit of a slow poster, but try to keep pace within a day or so from replies to group stories.

Note: Just got caught up with reading everything up to this point and I am definitely interested I'd you would have me. ;)

Bubby!  OMG, I didn't know it was coming back!

Oh wow!  Can I?  Can I really!?

I would love to bring back Carmillia the Queen's Loyalist, or make something new if that's better!

Oh sweet goodness!  This game is like a sexy zombie, and I'm so stoked it's coming back to life!  I hope I can join, but will spectate regardless!

Oh Presta I have missed yyyoouu!!!  If I get it off the ground DAMN RIGHT YOU CAN JOIN! I think we can do it, but I'm a little worried about not many people joining. I've offered up duel chars, and that seems to have helped the char count. I'll be posting up a definite Yay or Nay on whether this is a Go Later on tonight.

Shared/Family Biography:

House Larenzac was once an ancient Clan within the land before the rise of the Kingdom of Glavnon. At the time of the rise of Queen Xenoa Leocadi, Chieftain Helferich, great-great-grandfather to Valacar and Adunabeth, was a powerful clan leader of many warriors and riders. Helferich Larenzac threw in his lot and support behind the aspiring, powerful Queen in exchange for rank and position within her new kingdom, serving as a renown General and earning the title of Count, transitioning from tribal leader to a feudal lord of estates and influence.

Adalbero Larenzac was the son of Helferich and great-grandfather to Valacar and Adunabeth. He served the Queen as a capable and cunning warlord, expanding her power while using riches and loot captured in battle to increase the power of his estates. He was unfortunately slain in combat with the Queen's enemies, fighting to the last.

His son Volker Larenzac, grandfather to Valacar and Adunabeth, continued the commitment of loyalty and service, following his father’s footsteps as one of many of the Queen’s generals and leading his forces to ruthlessly put down any opposition to her rule during the first decades of her reign. He served with competence and distinction, maintaining and representing her power abroad and stomping out any resistance against her divine rule.

Pelinel Larenzac, son of Volker and father to Valacar and Adunabeth, was cut from a different cloth. He did not follow in his father and grandfather’s footsteps as a warrior, instead choosing to enter the civil sector and bureaucracy as an administrator of territories both domestic and occupied. He ruled and governed with a firm hand, though showed signs of compassion which alienated him from his colleagues. He married late in his life and died before his children were full grown, taking with him the chance to rise them up through the ranks through nepotism and favouritism, throwing them to rely only on the merits of their own virtue and strength of character.

House Larenzac lands are extensive and though they have existed at the Count level, their fiefs possess riches and manpower equivalent with the most powerful nobles of the Kingdom, bordering south of the capital of Glavnon. Their warriors still possess much of their hardened tribal roots, living hard lives which forge hard men capable in battle and endurance. They are skilled shock troopers, possessing halberds in battle, with sword and shield as well. However with the degradation of the land due to the Queen's power, many of the Larenzac estates have begun to fail, showing significant losses in terms of tax revenue and crop output, leading to general starvation.

For most of their adolescent lives, Valacar and Adunabeth lived under the guidance of their mother, the daughter of a powerful noble and loyalist to the Queen. Though Valacar sought to re-establish the family prestige and influence by rejoining the army as a knight, eventually winning distinction through his competence with the blade, their mother Lothuial managed via influence to garner Adunabeth a prestigious positioning as one of the Queen’s handmaidens, serving her daily needs in whatever function is required of her. Since she was sixteen years of age, she has served the Queen faithfully in many capacities, whether it be mere preparation of the Queen's wardrobe, tasting the Queen's food in case of poison, as a scribe for the Queen's work in governing or even carrying messages. Adunabeth also possesses her father's head for numbers and administration, helping the Queen in both stewardship and financial roles if required. She is an excellent dancer, though rarely gets to practice as she is almost never absent from the Queen's side. She very rarely gets more than a few hours to herself a day, mostly for sleep, before she is required by the Queen. Almost her entire life is based around her Mistress's routines, very likely to be lost without purpose if she should ever be bereft of the woman she serves and admires.

Valacar was married once, when he was in his early twenties, though his wife died in childbirth due to a miscarriage. He has shied away from further commitments of the sort due to this. With the lands of the Kingdom beginning to deteriorate, with little to no means to help the teeming populace of his County, Valacar has been forced to more extreme and desperate measures, oppressing his people to keep the peace while forcing him to seek his fortunes serving the Queen directly as a Knight and guard rather than as an independent feudal lord committed to her rule. He seeks to earn his fortunes in battle and service to supplement his lands, already having proven his valour against various threats to the Queen's power, such as leading raids against rebel elements within the capital itself. In his role as a member of the Queensguard, Valacar has been instrumental in sniffing out traitors, plots, and conspiracies against his Mistress, even among other Queensguard who sought they could end her supposed tyranny. He is unwavering in his means to do so, willingly throwing his own men's lives into jeopardy or even into death in order to draw out an enemy which could garner benefits in the greater run.

Both have spent the majority of their life serving the Queen, thus having little time for personal development or indulging.

Personal Information:
Name: Duchess Shallindria Vera-Tomkessia de Lorangitosse ("Shelley" to her friends. Not you.)
Age: 31
Gender: Female
Affiliation: Loyal

Personality:
Shallandria is noble grace personified. She is kind, gentle, well-mannered, proper and always displays nothing but classy amusement at the foibles of life. She is a tender-hearted widow twice over who often gives to the poor and welcomes the needy to share her table when she goes out in the city. She is well loved by the populace and the nobility, a true ambassador for the Queen.

At least when she's in public.

Behind closed doors she is a greedy, murderous, power-hungry mastermind who has no morals whatsoever and has literally killed for the fun of it. The pro-regime propaganda she so happily and prettily sings is not something she actually believes a word of, but she does believe that Queen Xenoa is her best bet for maintaining her own lavish and sadistic lifestyle and so is fully committed to keeping the Queen on the throne.

Biography:
Official Version:

The Duchess acquired her title through marriage as a young woman. A charming, virtuous young woman like herself, though born a lowly orphan, caught the eye of the champion of the realm Baron Paul von Nashor. Poor Baron Nasher was tragically thrown from his horse moments after his lovely young wife had wished him well on his hunting expedition, an act of cowardly assassination soon linked to the rebel forces!

The Baroness was so distraught at the funeral that the kindly old Duke Frederico Vera-Tomkessia de Lorangitosse took pity on the poor woman and invited her to stay in his manor while she recovered. She was so grateful and proper in her response, and comported herself with such dignity and kindness in the aftermath of her husband's death that the Duke couldn't stop thinking of her. Many times he saw her giving what little she had to the good people of his land and asking for nothing in return. He was soon smitten with her beauty and morality and made the outrageous step of asking her for marriage less than a year after her husband's death.

Of course the poor fragile thing was unsure what to do, afraid of facing the world alone as a mere woman of no real standing on her own, but unable to bring herself to disrespect the memory of the poor Baron, she spent many weeks in prayer until finally the spirit of the land appeared to her and told her she must follow her heart and know her convictions. So, though it pained her, she accepted the proposal from the Duke and the two were wed.

Though the marriage was hard at first, gradually the noble love of the blessed Duke won over her spirit and the two were happy. But before they could truly enjoy love together tragedy struck as the Duke was shot from his own garden by a marksman who snuck in over the walls. The assassin was killed quickly by the Duke's guards even as his vile lies left his mouth.

Having no mind for the responsibilities of a Duchess or any desire for the worldly goods her husband had left her, the Duchess was invited to the Court by Queen Xenoa herself and offered a place of refuge there. She has since spent her time rallying the cause of the Queen with the tragic tale of her late husband's and how the nefarious rebels who stalk our great land must be put down for the good of us all.

Translation:
She was a gold digger who drew in an asshole thug of a baron who she killed by cutting his saddle and framing rebels, then seduced a Duke at the Baron's funeral, strung him along until he proposed and then killed him soon afterwards and set up a young peasant she'd sweet talked to meeting her in the garden to take the fall. She was recognized as a kindred spirit by Queen Xenoa and offered a job making sure as many people hate the rebels as possible, something she's proven very good at.

Rosaline

Personal Information:
Name: Daria Faolon
Age: 26
Gender: Female.
Affiliation: Rebel leader; Intends to uphold prophecy

Personality: Has unwavering loyalty to her rebels, respecting each and every one of their decisions to follow her cause; knowing that if they get caught that they will likely be tortured before being killed. Can be considered strict, but not heartless. When in town or selling her herbal remedies, she acts soft-spoken and indecisive, playing a more passive role to keep attention off of herself. Now, when amongst her rebels, she shows passion and conviction behind every word. Is unwilling to give them jobs or duties that she wouldn't be willing to do herself. Always willing to lend an ear or a shoulder if needed. Does her best to be fair while keeping what's best for them all in mind. Has only told a handful of her rebels her true plot to fulfill the prophecy and slay the queen once and for all, so she is a little secretive. What the majority of the rebels know is that she does plan to overthrow the queen, just not how. (PM me to be one of the rebels that knows she intends to fulfill the prophecy.)

Biography: Was raised learning the Prophecies. Her parents trained her in all forms of combat whilst making sure that she was able to reiterate the Prophecies by heart. There was always a keen level of disappointment from having no magical abilities of her own, but she used that energy to train harder with what she could learn. They lived in a cabin in the woods where her mother taught her find herbs to use for simple medicinal remedies that they sold in town. Her father was a trader that bought goods from nearby towns and villages in order to sell or trade them to the vendors within the city.

While they were not wealthy or nobles by any means, they lived comfortably as commoners. The isolation of the cabin gave them a bit of peace while keeping them out of the queen's line of sight so she could be trained and learn everything that would eventually be needed. Her mother eventually became seriously ill, having Daria begin to take over the herbal aspect of supporting themselves. No matter how hard she tried to find a remedy, her mother's condition gradually worsened until she finally passed away. Although her father tried to hide his sorrow, she could see through the facade, but merely took over stall they had in the city and continued to harvest the herbs that the forest provided for them.

One of the days that she was selling remedies in town, she met a man that swept her off her feet. His name was Nickolai, he had a quick wit with an easy going smile that melted her heart. As time went on, he went with her to harvest the herbs and met her father. They became closer and closer until he finally asked her father's blessing for her hand in marriage. It was a small, pleasant ceremony and she found herself quite happy for a while. Due to the Queen's hunt for magic users and her loyalists at work distorting what the villagers knew of the Prophecies, she had kept that part of her life away from her husband. When he asked why she trained so hard and often, she merely quipped back with responses like, "You wouldn't want your wife harmed or taken advantage of. Right, love?"

Perhaps if she had been fully honest with him, than he may have been fully honest with her. Life was best not spent on 'what ifs.' It happened one summer day when she was selling her tinctures and remedies at her stall.. Part of the tavern's roof fell as men were working on it and that caused several heavy bricks to fall toward a young child. Right before her eyes and the city guards, her husband leapt forward with a hand outstretched, causing vines to sprout forth from the ground and pull the girl to safety just in the nick of time.

That was all it took for the armed guards to spring forth with their weapons drawn to corner him. Another young woman in the stall by her side lunged at her and held her back, clasping a hand over her mouth where her cry of anguish wouldn't be heard. The young woman was a friend of sorts, knowing that she was betrothed to the man that ended up beaten to the ground before being hauled off to the Queen herself. Her friend only let her go once the guards had gone her way and she darted away from her stall, taking alleyways as shortcuts in an effort to catch up to them.

It was all for naught. By the time she caught up, she was standing in the shadows of an alley just as the castle's gate clanged shut. Her husband was dragged through the castle's courtyard as she stood there, trembling in fury and loss as tears silently streamed down her cheeks. She had her hands clenched in fists as she could only stand there, knowing that to try to get into the castle was an impossible task and that even if she could get into it, that it would be impossible to spirit him away to safety.

She returned to her home in the forest, leaving her wares behind at the stall. Guards came to interrogate her and she was brought to the castle itself, tortured to figure out if she had known anything or had any magical skills herself. Daria was forced to be the one to slay her husband, sinking a dagger into his heart as a show of loyalty to the Queen. That was the day she swore to get her revenge, never able to forget the moment the light left his eyes. As an act of 'mercy,' she was allowed to live and thrown in a heap at the cabin door once they determined that she had known nothing about his abilities.

Her father nursed her back to health and once she was able to return to her stall she began to have a double life. By day, she sold her wares, pretending to be meek and weak-willed after returning from the castle, showing false reverence for a Queen that took her love from her. By night, she sought followers and inspired rebellion in the hearts of those that had also been wronged, those that knew in their hearts that the Queen had become insufferbly evil and those who had no where else to go. It didn't take long for her to become the leader of the rebels, a rather large group determined to wrench control of the lands being slowly killed by the wretched Queen. She would not stand by and wait for the Prophecy of Four to come to pass; she was determined to be the catalyst by finding the four who were destined to slay the Queen who cared only for more power at the cost of all else.

Appearance:

<<--By night, as the leader.
By day, as the herbal vendor-->>

Hair: Sandy blond, reaches to her mid-back.
Eyes: Hazel-Change between green and brown depending on mood.
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 130lbs
Build: Lean/Athletic.

Combat Information: Proficient in most forms of combat. Skilled with nearly all weapons but she prefers to use what she carries on her. Stands a fighting chance whether she's on her feet or on horseback. Ranged weapons are her personal specialty. Often coats her blades and arrowheads in powerful poisons. Is capable of being stealthy as well.

Weapon(s): Bow on her back with her quiver, a long dagger at one hip, sword at the other. Keeps miscellaneous throwing knives tucked away on her person at all times. Also carries small pouches of miscellaneous herbs and vials on her person, some poisons while others are merely powdered irritants.

Ability/Skill(s): Proficient in most forms of combat, knowledgeable of medicinal herbs and poisons.

Strengths: Being able to blend in within the city, charismatic, passionate and able to stick to her goals once her mind is set. A fair leader and good teacher; as she will likely have to train the elementals as she finds them.

Weaknesses: Stubborn, once she sets her mind to something it is damn nigh impossible to change it. Can act rashly. Her father, who is getting older and more vulnerable.

Sexual Information:
Sexual Nature:[/b] Bisexual Switch.
Ons & Offs: Ons- Biting, scratching, hair pulling. Offs- Scat, vore, watersports.

Other Information:

Just to be clear, most of her rebels don't know she intends to fulfill the Prophecies. That information is held close to her chest so that the Queen herself won't know that is my character's intention. Periodically she send scouts out to seek word of any person with elemental abilities, in hopes to get to them before the Queen can. Once she finds these elementals, she plans to train them in what combat skills they might be lacking and to teach them to work together.

Maybe the rebels have a meeting place somewhere in or outside of the city? Figure there could possibly be a few safehouses scattered about for characters to hide that the Queen might know as rebels. Or even for the elementals themselves as they learn to control their powers?

Note: Figured her father could be an expendable NPC. Maybe he somehow gets the Queen's attention and is slain? Or perhaps at some point the Queen might figure out who my character is and while my character gets to a safehouse, her father is left unprotected. Few possibilities there.

YAY for CS's!

I'll peruse through them more thoroughly tomorrow before work since I won't have to go in early. I have sent out PM's to the other interested parties and have yet to receive responses other than from Amarlo, who opted out unfortunately.

Bubby, I know you said you were going to be picky about the elementals so I pm'd the CS to you before posting it here. Just wanted to know if she works for the world you're envisioning. :D

Would love to have you Violet! You're more than welcome to make 2 chars if you'd like; one could be a Loyalist that does something to piss off the Queen and she kills them, and a Rebel. We have a Rebel leader so more Rebels to help in this endeavor and help the Elementals is always good! Feel free to PM me any questions or ideas.

Looking fun, this :-) Gotta hop in and throw a CS around:

Personal Information:
Name: Susilo Kadek
Age: 28
Gender: Man
Affiliation: Farmer, rebel

Personality: Resilient, dedicated and loyal to his family, Susilo desires most than anything else to provide for his family and help his social class as well. He has developed a strong dislike and hatred for nobles due to what happened to him.

Biography: Susilo is a farmer, a peasant, who used to work the land of a noble with his family. He learned everything he had to learn from fighting to farming from his father, with his fighting skills passed from generation to generation dating back from pre-feudal times.

After bad harvests due to the Queen's powers, Susilo's lord blamed his family and other farmers for the poor crops, and started abusing them even more with more taxes to sustain their aristocratic lifestyle. After speaking up at a hearing with his lord to demand lower taxes for the peasants so they can feed their children, Susilo lost his temper, became enraged, threw a sandal at the lord himself and started beating up guards who rushed on him. He was sentenced and imprisoned for five years by the Queen, and rotted in the dungeons. His wife Nara, 26, and daughter Fasha, 10, have been banished from the lord's lands, same as Susilo. His parents and siblings were however allowed to stay and work on the lands.

During his captivity, Susilo was often tortured because his captors thought he was part of the rebels and had information on them. Learning of this rebel organization for the first time, Susilo didn't know anything about them, and instead found out quite a lot from his captors. They decided to let him go after his sentence ended, since they couldn't get anything from him and realized he was just a farmer.

After his release, Susilo returned to his family, incognito, asking them what happened to his wife and daughter, but they had been missing since a year after his imprisonment after moving to the capital to find work. Upon learning this, Susilo returned to the capital. After wandering the town for a month, asking around about his wife and daughter for any information, getting into fights with thieves and scammers who tried to misinform him, and getting money by helping people here and then, just enough to survive, Susilo was starting to lose hope but remembered what his captors were looking for desperately.

He is now trying to get in contact with the rebels thinking they might help him find his wife and daughter. And if the rebels aren't able to help him, he is ready as a last resort to give them up to the Queen, who then would surely help him.

Appearance:

Hair: Black hair, cut short since dungeon
Eyes: Brown
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 178 lbs
Build: Athletic/Muscular

Dungeon Time (some blood)

Combat Information:

Weapon(s): Bare hands and/or karambit; various swords, whatever he can use
Ability/Skill(s): Extremely proficient in hand to hand combat, and the use of short blades and daggers.
Strengths: He has great endurance, resolve and fighting skills.
Weaknesses: His family is his main weakness. He'll do anything for them. Tends to go berserk and fight anyone in his path when enraged. Doesn't wear armors or know how to fight on a horse or with long swords. Susilo cannot read or write, and has never learned military tactics or anything like that.

Sexual Information:

Sexual Nature: Heterosexual.
Ons & Offs: Ons- S&M, vanilla, bondage. Torture him, all good. Offs- Scat, vore, watersports
Other Information:

Face claim is Iko Uwais. Hit me up if you wanna plot something. Maybe someone has a character willing to be the noble/lord who owned the lands Susilo worked on?

Caela

Personal Information:
Name: Lady Ellesbeth Aurian Beaulieu (friends call her Aura)
Age: 23
Gender: Female
Affiliation: Rebel

Personality: Aurian is a mostly quiet, studious young woman on the outside. When drawn into conversation it becomes clear that just below her studious nature is also a passionate heart. She argues and debates her beliefs fiercly, is intensely loyal to those who have earned her trust, and has a knack for seeing beyond what people say to the truth beneath.

Biography: Born to Duke and Duchess Beaulieu in the heart of the Capitol City, her first few years were the same as those of any other highborn child. Surrounded by nannies and staff, running through gardens that were sculpted to within an inch of their life and doted on by parents who loved her. It was only that love that granted her the luck that the first time she showed signs of what she was - a small fire that licked the ground near her feet when she fell and hurt herself one day - it was her mother that was with her and not one of their many servants. Had a servant seen, such an occurrance would surely have reached the ears of the Queen and Aura would have been killed. Instead, her mother scooped her up and carried her to her father where the Duchess promptly burst into tears that surpassed even those Aura had shed at her injury.

That night a plot was formed between the parents and to save their own child, they found another who looked remarkably like her, dressed her in one of Aura's many dresses, and drowned the girl in a nearby river. Claiming the dead child was Aura, they then smuggled their own daughter out of the city and to a monestary far away, nestled in a small, sparsly populated, mountain village where she would continue to grow in the belief that she was just another orphaned child...though with some wealthy benefactors because the monks there often took in orphaned children and had the absolute loyalty of the villagers they spent most of their days helping to care for.

It was from the books in the monks library that she began to understand what she was. Most books describing elementals, how they used to be trained, and what they could expect from their abilities had been long destroyed, but hidden away in their isolated monestary, the monks had a few that had managed to survive the purge and it was from these that Aura, in secret, and one her own, learned the beginning of control and experimentation.

Appearance: At 5'6, Aura is of average height with chocolate brown hair, amber eyes, and luminous skin. She had no tattoos or piercings but she does bear a scar on her right hip from a riding accident when she was a teenager.

Combat Information:

Weapon(s): Bow, Quarterstaff, Fire
Ability/Skill(s): Intermediate skills as a fire elemental. She's taught herself as much as she can but she's never really been pushed or tested.
Strengths: Intelligence, observation, has studied history and strategy, wit, a quiet charm that tends to make people want to protect her
Weaknesses: Sheltered life, lack of knowledge about who she actually is (the monks have sheltered her)

Sexual Information:

Sexual Nature: Heterosexual
Ons & Offs: Aura enjoys outdoor sex, partners that are experimental and playful and know how to laugh when something new goes a bit sideways. She also likes oral (giving and receiving), anal (receiving), and she likes sex from speed that include long slow nights of live making to rough and tumble quickies. She likes moderate amounts of pain from simple things like teeth, nails, or light spanking.

She doesn't like partners that take themselves (or sex) too seriously, people that are wantonly cruel, being forced into anything, any kind of bathroom play, heavy pain, or anything that leaves permanent marks.

Other Information: Aura's had a pretty idyllic upbringing for a young woman who believes herself to be an orphan and has no idea that she's actually the sole heir to a Duke in the capital. Her parents never dared to have another child after all they'd done to protect her.

Name: Carmillia vas Paranazia di Lialdi
Alias: Depends on who's asking..
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Affiliation: Loyalist to the Queen

"Carmillia is a relatively fresh face at court: the unlikely betrothed of Tiskele's Baron Fioro Eschet.  Since her introduction, she has become regarded as the very best thing to ever happen to her husband's estate.  Her exotic features aside, Carmillia conducts herself as a preeminent lady.  Charming in conversation, graceful in manner and movement, and surpassingly witty.  All while somehow retaining the etiquette and humility that those of foreign blood owe to the Nobles of Glavnon.  At court, she is something of a fascination.  They wonder if she will remain a delightful but inconsequential peer of the realm, in the fashion of her husband.  Or if they are witnessing the subtle rise of a great politician.

The woman is known to be fickle, and rather too particular about her scheduled comforts and routines.  The servants under her command are reportedly terrified of her, especially those charged with the allegedly all-important task of making her tea.  In her defense, having personally sampled her own concoction, Carmillia is well within her rights to be discerning.  She manages many functions of her soon-to-be husband's estate, and takes an enormous burden off the aging war-hero as a result.

Among her past-times, Carmillia is an avid rider, as natural on horseback as she is in a gown, and several career stable-hands claim to have asked her for advice at one point or another.  It also shouldn't surprise you to learn, given her heritage as a daughter of Inillys, that writing is her strongest talent.  Her prose carries a poetic flourish; one uniquely translated from the gaudy frivolousness of her birthplace and into something that respectable citizens of Glavnon can actually find pleasing.

Her loyalty to the Queen, Blessed Be Her Name, can be accurately described as zealotry.  Here I dispense with formality for a moment: After a career of interviewing nobles, commoners, generals, and ministers on this very subject, I confess that I have found few people to match her eagerness, her willingness to praise and to defend Her Blessed Majesty at every possible opportunity.  The Queen's tactics, philosophy, edicts, and lifestyle are all sacrosanct to Carmillia.  Indeed, the poetic inclination of her bloodline leaves her fascinated with the circumstances of Glavnon, and her worldview allows her to perceive the Queen, Blessed Be Her Name, as nothing short of a paragon made manifest.  It is extraordinary.

Sadly, the saying goes that a healthy instinct will follow any extraordinary thing with suspicion.  And indeed, there is somewhat more to this newly minted noblewoman than meets the eye.  There is a melancholy, which sets upon her very suddenly and without discernable provocation.  Nothing in her life's history, save her departure from her homeland, would indicate such turmoil.  And yet she herself, her closest staff, and indeed her doting Baron are either wholly ignorant of its origin, or are deeply protective.  Rumors exist that Carmillia's body is covered in unseemly scars.  That black hairs and not platinum blonde ones are seen when she bathes.  And that perhaps our newest peer of the realm and our jovial Baron Eschet prefer a more impassioned intercourse than anyone at court assumed.  But most important of all, the more time invested in this affair, the greater it feels that there is something altogether amiss about her stated history.  The precise nature of the discrepancy remains elusive, but suspicions that endure being baseless are to be taken seriously, as they say.

Despite the nauseating bother of communicating with them, the next step after dispatching the assigned duties here will be to submit an inquiry to the Inyllysian Grand Sovereign Committee of Noble Houses and Rank, and see what can be learned about Carmillia vas Paranazia di Lialdi's origins there.  With relations between Glavnon and Inyllys as they are, compounded with the cacophony that is their bureaucratic structure, it will take several seasons to get any answer at all, much less a useful one.  Best, then, to begin in all haste.  Given the evidence thus far, including her fickleness regarding tea, it's entirely possible that this woman is in fact-"

There was the sound of paper wadding up into a ball.  From his couch, a large and well dressed man opened one sleepy eye, observing a woman moving to the fire place.  "What do you have there?" he murmured.

The woman smiled and shook her head.  "Just a bit of poetry I composed as a child, regialo."  And she tossed it into the fire.

The man chuckled.  "That already happening to you, my dear?  Looking at yourself in the past and wincing at that clumsy, stilt-legged oaf, smashing his way through life without nothing but high ideals and two left feet to follow them with?"

She laughed and took a seat beside him.  "Perhaps.  Or perhaps I simply do not care to recall such things as my 'clumsy pen' would write about in those days."

"Ha, imagining the way your father's guards looked naked, were you?"  She elbowed him.  "What?  Do girls not do that when they're young?"

"Not the proper ones." she scoffed, causing him to roar with laughter.

"Proper!  Proper, my ass!  I've never seen a word so many people wanted and that so few knew the meaning of!  Come now, live a little as a 'proper' woman!  By the time you're my age, you'll wish you'd kept your childhood poetry just you can imagine you were ever innocent at all!"

  Biography:

Carmillia was born to a wealthy magistrate in Lialdi, an inland city in the distant country of Inillys.  Her childhood centered around her family's expectations of her, which included a classical education and intense etiquette cultivation.  She was a bright child, often praised for her keen mind and excellent memory.  Horticultue, literature, anatomy, and the arts were all subjects she excelled in.  She took especially well to history, which pleased her father as it translated easily into current affairs.  Her mother, a native to Glavnon, helped her education by teaching her foreign history and language.  While she was expected to succeed, the young Carmillia knew very few hardships.

Perhaps because of her mother's stories of Queen Xenoa of Glavnon, or because of the large population of folk and mystic healers in Lialdi, Carmillia developed a scholarly fascination with occultism.  This was frowned on by her family, but a compromise was reached in sending her to Glavnon's Capital for study.  She was allowed to learn from some of the most accomplished writers and scribes in the country, while absorbing herself in this nation of legends and sorcery.  Despite the ruin of the countryside, and the wars being fought in pockets all over the continent, Carmillia was entranced by it.

Her education was cut short when her father fell ill, at which point she returned to Inillys to tend to the matters of filial piety.  After he died sometime later, she stayed for a year in mourning, helping to straighten family affairs.  And, of course, to console her mother, who was minded to stay in luxury in Inillys for the rest of her days.  Carmillia, however, couldn't resist returning to Glavnon.

Just one sordid shadow..

The writer of the above report was publically mourned.  His body was never found.

On the day he disappeared, some hog-farmers 40 miles from the estate were gifted wine and women-of-pleasure.  When they awoke, they were grateful the pigs had already been fed, so they could nurse their hangovers.

Carmillia keeps her secrets carefully.  One secret is this.

Carmillia vas Paranazia di Lialdi has never been to Inyllys.

Seeking to take work as a scribe, Carmillia traveled south into Tiskele, employing herself to a minor noble by the name of Baron Fioro Eschet.  5 months have passed since then, and Carmillia is currently involved in a courtship with the Baron.  A widower, but a clever and well-liked man in his province, the Baron is considering sponsoring the girl in court, to become a proper scribe in service to Glavnon at large.  Such a thing, Carmillia would attest, is her dream.

Appearance:

The first thing most people notice about Carmillia is her poise.  Her graceful motions and firm posture deeply accent her otherwise modest curves.  She is a stylish young lady, preferring to choose deep colors that offset her platinum blonde hair.  Her green eyes dance with intelligence, and her features are sharp and exotic.
She speaks with an accent: a faux-Italian canter and intonation.
While none are visible while dressed, Carmillia's flesh is riddled with scars.  Most people who see them already know their history.

Combat Information:

Weapon(s):

Darts:  Carmillia is strangely accurate with small throwing weapons.  More interestingly, she is able to adapt many things to suit the occasion, and can utilize quills, hair-pins, reeds, silverware, and so forth if pressed.
Heirloom Dagger:  A short, very thin steel dagger with an ornate hilt.  Typically mistaken for a letter opener, it's a pitiful seeming weapon that she is usually allowed to carry on her person.

Carmillia is not a fighter.  She will attempt to trick, seduce, bargain with, or mislead opponents when they appear.  Where that fails, Carmillia would usually rather be taken captive than risk taking on a swordsman.  In a case where fighting is literally the only way out, she will use every resource in her surroundings to harry her attackers until she is able to escape.

Ability/Skill(s): (Abilities applies to Elementals)

  Skills:
Penmenship:  Carmillia's writing is both beautiful to look at and to read.
Propaganda:  Her manipulative nature and her writing skills give her an unsettling ability to tune the minds of her readers.
Anatomical Savvy:  She once spent time with a man who liked to use needles and pressure points.  She learned some things..
Ears of the Scribe:  A scribe has to be able to quickly and accurately transmit a vast amount of information.  It makes for a nasty eavesdropper.
Artistic Sway:  Carmillia plays stringed instruments passably, but her dexterity greatly lends itself to visual endeavors.
Horticulture:  Teas and flowers are her forte, although she also knows a little about narcotics and poisons.
Equine Savant:  She is known to be a good rider, but also has a way with difficult horses.
The Past Casts Sordid Shadows:  The Baron Eschet was astounded when she was able to open a door that had lost it's key...

Hidden Skills

Sesame Girl:  Carmillia's nimble hands and quick wits once earned the nickname of 'Sesame Girl,' for her ability to crack locks.  As well other lewd meanings..
Legerdemain Games:  She loves games of chance, but has a slight-of-hand knack that makes her good at cheating.
Pocket Browser:  An able pick-pocket, she is a capable thief when she has reason to be.
The Truth About Plants:  She is a poison and narcotics expert, as well an avid student of Tea.  Her knowledge of flowers is relatively superficial, at least as to cultivating them.
Needle Play:  She is capable of weaving intricate patterns of needles into a person, which she has used both for pleasure and for torture.
Courtesan's Weave:  She was trained in the ways of pleasure, conversation, and seduction.

Strengths:

Cunning:  Her favorite word and her greatest asset, Carmillia is resourceful and sharp-witted.
Educated:  A rare enough trait for any gender in such a time period, Carmillia's mind is excellently seasoned.
Clever Hands:  Nimble and small, Carmillia's dexterity allows her to do a number of things: more than many suspect.
Those Inillysian Ladies:  Loud, emotional, stubborn, and irrestiable.  She does her blood proud.
No Limits:  Carmillia's creativity, when aroused, quickly bypasses established technique, social convention, and morality.

Weaknesses:

Guilt:  Those that really begin to know Carmillia will see that she is crippled, if not wholly defined, by a guilty conscience.
Lair:  It's harder than you'd think to catch her in a lie, but she has to step carefully during such a pursuit.
Lack of empathy:  The word 'sociopath' doesn't exist yet, and wouldn't precisley apply to her if it did.  But she does have a hard time caring for others, and once the cards are down, those closest to her often find betrayal, or worse.
Physical Weakness:  Carmillia is stronger than she looks, which sadly isn't saying much.  Her lithe body can be easily overpowered.
Masochistic:  Carmillia knows how far is too far, but sometimes she let's herself get carried away...

Sexual Information:

Sexual Nature:

Carmillia is hetero-sexual.  She is a complicated, emotional lover, who places great importance on the 'pact' of sexual union.

Turn Ons & Offs:

Yes:
Hard Sub:  Carmillia finds release in pain and humiliation.  She kindles to whips, ropes, chains, and knives earnestly, as well as more specialized forms such as fire play.
Mutilation:  She would explain that the ideal state is somewhere between fear and trust, certainty and uncertainty.  To make sure there isn't too much of one and not enough of the other, sometimes it's necessary to go a little deeper.  That's the theory, anyhow.  Just as long as the scars aren't visible and she isn't going to die or be crippled.
Darkness:  Carmillia likes the tease of being deprived of sight.  There's also a self-conscious aspect to that.

Half and Half:
Toilet Play:  As a form of humilation, toilet play is acceptable.  The character will like it, but the player won't get anything out of it.
Public scenes:  Carmillia requires privacy, and will stop being interested if she feels she is on display.  The character will dislike these scenes, but the player could rather do with her having that problem.
Permanant / Terminal Injury:  In a curious way, Carmillia would like this to happen.  Just PM me if you plan on crippling or killing her first.

No:
Diapers.  Just.. I don't even know why, but absolutely not.

The following are the CS's I've received and accepted so far. I'm going to send off PM's to everyone else once again to find out player status. Characters will be opened up if RSVP'd chars are dropped or I don't get responses back soon.

The Queen

Personal Information:
Name: Xenoa Leocadi
Age: 200
Gender: Female
Affiliation: Queen

Personality: She is a fearless and fearsome leader, known to be ruthless and cold, seemingly holding not an ounce of pity or warmth in her heart. Does she even have a heart? Some will say it shriveled away centuries ago, yet they would never say it aloud. She cares for nothing but making the entire Kingdom of Glavnon fall to their knees before her. Darkly seductive, decidedly evil.

Biography: She was born into Clan nobility, so very long ago. She was raised in wealth and privlidge. Though she was a high-born daughter, she was the only one, surrounded by brothers. It was with those brothers she was taught the basics of battle. How to ride, how to grip a sword. Yet one silent night Raiders fell upon them, killing her family, and being taken as a slave herself, as well as her entire Clan. Yet she refused to succumb. Even as the raiders swept through the land she knew and took prisoners, she did as she was told, always, quickly becoming a favorite. She watched, she listened. She became very close to the old Raider Witch, helping the woman with anything and everything, learning all she could. Slowly but surely, she was becoming quite formidable. She was learning how to control the Elements, the Witch always praising her for her quick mind, for her skills.

Though she was culling favor with her captors, she was also gaining friends with the prisoners. She was vibrant, outspoken in winning free of their captors, a born leader. She was dynamic and soon enough had many willing to follow her lead, so when the night came that she said it was time, the Rebellion that she herself began swept through the Raiders, killing them all. She killed with sword, and she killed with magic. Her skills at both were immense already.

Time went by, and she became Queen. Righteous and well loved. She used her ever more considerable Power to help those in need, leading her growing armies to eradicate any who dared to think to take over what she was building as her own. But, as time continued to go by, things began to change. She spent much time delving into the Occult, and how to gain complete control of all the Elements, finally coming across an ancient ritual she began to use faithfully. Yet, she had to be the best, the strongest, the most Powerful. She began to send her armies out to kill any who dealt in magic, especially those who had even a whisper of Elemental Power. She would lead many a battle herself, bathing in blood. Eventually, she became the ruthless woman she is now. Stunningly beautiful, able to kill with a thought, or a blade. Enjoying her singular rule. Many who had been at her side when she was kind left, but there were those that stayed, worshiping her for the Goddess she believed she was.

Now the land is slowly dying, all due to the rituals she performs to strengthen herself. The Rebellion she once lead now seeks to rid themselves of her. Whispers of the Prophecy of the Four coming true reach her ears. She sends out her assassins on a regular basis. She does not fear the Prophecy.

Maybe she should....

Shared/Family Biography:

House Larenzac was once an ancient Clan within the land before the rise of the Kingdom of Glavnon. At the time of the rise of Queen Xenoa Leocadi, Chieftain Helferich, great-grandfather to Valacar and Adunabeth, was a powerful clan leader of many warriors and riders. Helferich Larenzac threw in his lot and support behind the aspiring, powerful Queen in exchange for rank and position within her new kingdom, serving as a renown General and earning the title of Count, transitioning from tribal leader to a feudal lord of estates and influence.

For most of their adult lives, Valacar and Adunabeth lived under the guidance of their mother, the daughter of a powerful noble and loyalist to the Queen. Valacar has meanwhile garnered through his valour a position within the Queen’s personal bodyguard, serving as a Knight dedicated to protecting her personage. Both have spent the majority of their life serving the Queen, thus having little time for personal development or indulging. Valacar was married once, when he was in his early twenties, though his wife died in childbirth due to a miscarriage. He has shied away from further commitments of the sort due to this.

With the degradation of the land due to the Queen's power, many of the Larenzac estates have begun to fail, showing significant losses in terms of tax revenue and crop output. This has led Valacar to more extreme and desperate measures, oppressing his people more while forcing him to seek his fortunes serving the Queen directly as a Knight and guard rather than as an independent feudal lord committed to her rule. He seeks to earn his fortunes in battle and service.

RedPheonix (Loyalist/Spy)

Rosaline (Rebel Leader)

Heartsink (Rebel/Farmer)

Caela (Rebel Fire Elemental)

PrestaDGTation (Loyalist/Spy)

Weapon(s):

Wajin(Loyalist-Queens Black Riders)
Name: Augustus Thorne
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Affiliation: Queen/Black Riders

Personality: Augustus’ personality can be defined by a single word: Loyal. The young man is counted as amongst the most loyal subjects to ever serve the Queen. Few outside castle Glavnon knows the reason for this, and those who work inside the castle are too afraid to expose the secret behind this devotion. Augustus has zero tolerance for disloyalty towards the Queen, regardless of what kind, and is amongst the cruelest people in the service of the Queen. He will stop at nothing to complete his tasks or to please the queen, whether that be playing the good soldier and go on parades, or the cruel, psychopathic mass murdering knight of the Queen. He enjoys the admiration of others, especially her highness the Queen, along with the various noblewomen of the kingdom.

Biography: Augustus was born out of wedlock to the Queen’s chamber maid Marie-Ann after she was brutally raped by a guard who was subsequently executed for his crimes. Marie-Ann chose to keep the child, even as he was born, but didn’t let her pregnancy prevent her from carrying out her duty to the queen. While so many others thought the Queen cold and compassionless, Marie-Ann got to see a whole other side to the Queen, being in as intimate contact with her as she was. Marie-Ann had been singled out, from a selection of over 2000 young women seeking a chance to work in the castle. No one really knew why the Queen had singled her out, but the two seemed to get along a fair bit better than anyone had anticipated. When Augustus was 2, Marie-Ann sacrificed herself to protect the Queen from two assassins, right before Augustus’ eyes. The Assassins were swiftly killed by the Queen’s guard, but Marie-Ann couldn’t be saved. Left all alone in the world, Augustus was pseudo adopted into the royal court by the Queen. He was given the greatest teachers, trained from the age of 5 to be the ultimate tool of the Queen’s will. He was taught matters of the court, how to behave at social gatherings, banquets and the like. Upon his 20th birthday he was given two sets of armour to present his two roles. One was a glorious silver armour of unmatched craftsmanship that made the young knight appear as a divine knight, fighting for justice under the Queen. The other was a massive black plate armour with a matching helmet to hide his face; in this guise Augustus would be the physical embodiment of the Queen’s wrath, a rider whom death would follow. He would be the instrument of her vengeance against those who would threaten her control, and he would get the chase to slay the bastards that dared send the people who took his mother from him.

From that moment on, Augustus was to lead an advanced cavalry unit called the Black Knights, a group stationed in by the coast in Estovad, in a fortress castle that became known as Thornehold. With his new duties, Augustus was given the title of Duke of Thornehold, a title which he felt great pride in and a title he would do his outmost to show gratitude for. Spending so much time under the black armour though, proved to have detrimental effects on his skin, turning it a sickly white, something he employed the court alchemist to cure, an endeavour that ultimately failed, to the great despair of both men. Thornehold soon became the home of an order of knights rising up around the young Duke, an order of who would only accept the most vicious and cruel of cavalrymen from the rest of the Queen’s army. The Black Riders quickly gained a reputation of extreme savagery, but also of great tactical skill. If a village had been ordered a visit from these riders of death, the villagers would not see the light the next day. The Black Riders never left witnesses, if they found some who were worth sparing; they were brought along, and trained on the move as squires, or even knights if they had proven their skills. Due to the reputation of the black riders, a common saying amongst the villagers around the land is “Where the Black comes, Death follows for all”

Appearance:

Additional Appearance information His illness has caused his hair to grow overly fast and turn a sheer white. August is freakishly tall, standing 7 feet tall, a tower clad in metal. Some say his size and build is a gift from the queen, though if it is, he doesn't believe it so himself.

Combat Information:

Weapon(s):
Thorn – the black one and half hand sword carried by Augustus is perhaps as feared as he is. The sword has stories of its own, stories telling the tale of how it was forged used human blood instead of water to temper the steel, how it is made from steel that cannot break.

Grimm – a mace with a head the same of a human skull with steel spikes protruding from it. This weapon is more for shock and awe that it is for actual use, and Augustus rarely goes through a whole battle with it.

Glimmer fang – a silver long sword carried by Augustus during parades and at social events, it was forged by a smith in a small village near the Jurad Mountains who had a reputation of making works of unparalleled strength and beauty

Ability/Skill(s): (Abilities applies to Elementals)

Swordsmanship: Augustus was trained in swordsmanship from the age of 4 by the Royal guard master Vilhelm. He is counted amongst the greatest swordmasters of the army, and has so far not lost a duel, with the sole exception of a sparring duel with a masked member of the executioners guild.

Riding: Augustus was trained by some of the best horsemen in the realm. He knew from early on that he would prefer a position in the cavalry to being a simple foot soldier. His personal steed is a pale horse called Ortheus

Leadership experience: Augustus has over the years gained quite a bit of experience in leadership from his various roles in the military. He exercise his skills most obviously in his control of the black riders, who answer to no other commander, with the exception of Eiric, whom Augustus felt an attachment too from his childhood, in the army.

Strengths:

Knowledge of the Court: Growing up in the royal court meant that Augustus was always close to all the important people in the kingdom, and heard a lot. It also taught him how to behave at social gatherings of the wealthy and powerful, and how to navigate the great game of politics

Tactical perception: Augustus has an almost uncanny ability to foresee the moves of his enemies. This ability has served him well ever since he joined the military.

Physical build: Augustus has trained his own body to be at the peak of what it can be. He has gotten used to the weight of his armour to such a degree that he can run for almost two miles wearing his heavy armour.

Weaknesses:

Unstable emotions: Augustus is prone to emotional outbursts, especially when hearing insults to the Queen. When one of these overcomes him, he is almost impossible to stop by force.

Sun allergy: following getting his illness, Augustus' skin reacts explosively to sunlight.

So everyone has checked in! I think the group we have is a great start. Still waiting on some CS's, but once I have those we will definitely be able to begin. I will keep this thread open to hopefully gain some more Rebels or Loyalists to expand things  a bit.

When I  make our IC threads, I'm going to make The Queens Castle, Rebel Encampment, and City of Glavnon. I feel the fewer threads the better so not to get confusing, and anything smaller, say like a tavern in the City, can be put into a post header.

Agreed? Opposed? Suggestions?

I move the stars for no one.

Fewer threads to start makes sense to me. As things expand more can always be added if necessary.
