I'm not forgetting anything (although I am outright changing somethings), when I say "politics" I'm not referring to it on a global, nation to nation politics I'm talking about politics between people, scheming and power mongering in a manner similar to how characters do in the GoT series.

The dominion won't disrupt the proceedings, even with their extensive spy network there's nothing to guarantee they'll discover its evening happening, although what to do with the Dominion might be a topic discussed by the group.

Regardless, looking forward to seeing your character.

Name: Gaia
Titles: Champion of Cyrodiil, Arch-Mage, more in factions
Race: Imperial
Country: Cyrodiil

Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

Factions: Fighter's Guild in Cyrodiil (Master), Order of the Dragon (Champion of Cyrodiil), Cyrodiil Mages Guild (Arch-Mage), Blades (Grandmaster)
Skills: Master (Speechcraft, Marksman, Restoration, Destruction), Expert (One-handed, Light Armor, Conjuration, Mercantile), Journeyman (Block, Alteration, Armorer, Athletics)
Birthsign: The Lady

Equipment:
Artifacts:

Personality: Noble, loyal, spirited, just, stubborn, determined, eccentric, and a little ambitious.
Backstory: ((Summary by Razor, re-worded to fit here slightly for the main plot description of Oblivion.)) Gaia had been thrown into prison in The Imperial City, by a most unexpected and terrible turn of events.  She had plain and simply been at the wrong place at the wrong time yet again.  By chance, Emperor Uriel Septim VII, accompanied by his bodyguards, was fleeing from assassins who had killed his sons at the time and Septim's escape route happened to be connected via a secret passage through Gaia's cell.  She had been able to follow them and escape after them. During the escape, the Emperor told her that he had seen her in his dreams and gave her The Amulet of Kings, an important heirloom. He told her to find the monk Jauffre and give him the Amulet. The emperor was then assassinated.  After finding Jauffre, Gaia was told that Septim had an illegitimate son named Martin who was working as a monk in the city of Kvatch. As the only remaining heir to the throne, Martin had to use the Amulet to light the Dragonfires that protect Cyrodiil from Daedra, inhabitants of the Daedric realm of Oblivion.

Upon reaching Kvatch, Gaia found that it was under attack by the Deadra. She entered the Oblivion gate, a portal between Tamriel and Oblivion, and removed the Sigil Stone that held the gate in place, thus closing it from the inside. Upon returning to Kvatch, she aided the soldiers in fighting off the remaining invasion force before meeting Martin. She then escorted Martin back to Jauffre, whose Priory was under attack by The Mythic Dawn cult, the assassins who killed Emperor Uriel Septim.  After saving the Priory, she found that the Amulet was taken, and had to escort Martin and Jauffre to Cloud Ruler Temple, a hidden fortress in the mountains, and headquarters to The Blades (the Emperor's elite bodyguard).  As Martin trained to be the next Emperor, Gaia went on to attempt to retrieve the Amulet by infiltrating the Mythic Dawn.  It transpired that their leader, Mankar Camaron, was in league with the Daedric Lord of Destruction, Mehrunes Dagon. Dagon wanted to invade the world by opening Oblivion Gates near major cities with the help of The Mythic Dawn who worshiped him.

Gaia witnessed Camaron enter a portal into his own world, "Paradise" and take the Amulet with him. However, he left his book, The Mysterium Xarxes behind and the Gaia managed to steal it, taking it directly to Martin. The future Emperor then had to unlock the mysteries behind the book whilst Gaia helped the cities of Cyrodiil close more Oblivion Gates.  A major battle for control of Bruma ensued, but the Daedric forces were stopped before reaching the city. Gaia eventually entered Paradise and killed Camaron and his kin. Upon returning Martin to the Imperial City, however, she found it under attack by the Daedra, with Mehrunes Dagon himself leading the army. Martin rushed to relight the fires with the retrieved Amulet while Dagon destroyed the city. Reaching the Temple of the One, Martin thanked Gaia, and smashed the amulet of kings to transform himself into the avatar of the Great Dragon God of Time, Akatosh. He battled Dagon, and eventually banished him to Oblivon, saving Cyrodiil, and possibly Tamriel, in the process. But in doing so, he sacrificed his own life; the cost of borrowing the power of Akatosh. Peace, finally restored to the world, but no Emperor sat on the throne...

ok Good!  I'll be adding to it little by little here as I'm working on it at the moment.  Researching and reading up!

Just to make sure, this thread will really only have three players, right?  One for Morrowind, one for Cyrodiil, and one for Skyrim?
It's all good, and it's all in fun.  Now get in the pit and try to love someone.

(if nobody else plays the dragonborn I'll adjust it, but I think his role has already been called dibs upon.)
Name: Amasu "Silver-scale"
Titles: Thane of Whiterun, Bard, Penitus Oculatus agent, Harbringer, Dragonslayer
Race: Argonian
Country: Skyrim

Factions: Bard's collage (member, trained) Companions (Harbringer), Penitus Oculatus (Agent), Greybeards (student), whiterun (thane) Solitude (thane) Dawnstar (Thane) Morthol (Thane) Windhelm (thane)
Skills:  Master (heavy armor, two handed weapons, speechcraft, enchanting) Expert (restoration, blacksmithing, sneak, lockpicking) Journyman (conjuration, alteration, archery,  alchemy)
Birthsign: Lover

Equipment: Ebony armor (full set, minor enhantments) Rymewind (Ebony greatsword Ice damage and chance of parysis), Guadir amulet, Ring of Regen (heals quicker)
Artifacts: Omaga Infinium
Quote: "wind 32 knots, angle 72 degrees, when it makes the next pass launch me!"

Personality: intelligent, passionate, reckless, eccentric, heroic, curious, logical, romantic. He is very much still the adventurer and explorer that faced his first dragon in whiterun five years ago, but now with a seasoned and logical bent to his curious and exploritive nature. the omaga infinum and trip to Sovenguard gave him great insights. he has adopted the identity of the legendary "dragonborn" where he lacks his own past.
Backstory: his first memory is sitting in the back of a cart with his hands bound on the way to helgen, he cannot remember anything but vauge images and feelings before that. when Aduin attacked helgen he accidently saved the dragonborn from the headsman's axe. After a few minor adventurers he brought Riverwood's plea for help to Whiterun. the first place he felt at home, where he slew his first dragon, joined the companions.
it was his distinct lack of a past that drove him to explore and wander across the leingh and breath of skyrim. Helping the common people with their problems as he went, from the most trival to facing down dragons in single combat. he loved being a hero, and for a man with no past, it gave him an identity.
After an "incident" involving the matron of the Riften orphanage and her abusive practices he was approached by the dark brotherhood, when told to kill someone as a test, he plunged his sword into the speaker's stomach, and with the help of the Penitus Oculatus tore the entire operation in skyrim to peices. He has survived several assassination attempts since then.
Eventually his battling dragons and exploring brought him to the throat of the world to study with the greybeards, harnessing the power of the natural Thu'um, and using it to tear the wings off the dragon tyrant Aduin, when it withdrew he tracked the destroyer of worlds to Sovenguard itself and leading the charge to destory the monster.
He came back from Sovenguard a changed man, the wild adventurer now tempered and cooled, while he still does not remember his past, he now had a future to look foreward to.
He identifies with nords now, and took up the cause of Talos after the death of Ulfric Stomcloak that ended the civil war, joining the bard's collage and becoming a vocal opponent of the dominion, the white gold concordit, and openly worshipping the nine divines instead of eight. Nobody was going to argue the point with him.
With Audin dead, the dragonborn leading the way, and skyrim united, the argonian with no past can look to the future at last and begin becoming more involved in politics, more importantly, he is the only dragonblood known, giving him a legitimate claim to the imperial throne.

@Ironwolf, the "country" piece is asking which area your character is representing (so for your character it would be Skyrim). Azura's Star is a claimed artifact. I'd prefer it if you put to the group does anyone intend on being a member of the Skyrim Dark Brotherhood, because wiping them out in your history would otherwise make it rather difficult for someone to be a member. On a lesser important note, it might be worth mentioning becoming a thane of Windhelm in your history.

@Silken, looks fine with the exception of in your expert skills you have "blade listed," as we're using Skyrim's skillset, all melee weapons are grouped into either "one handed" or "two handed," if you want to pick one of those t'would be super.

For my artifact, I was thinking I could have the Amulet of Kings and say she is able to wear it while pregnant with Martin's son....Just an idea since Martin died and he was the last living septim. Supposedly.  Gaia would be carrying the future emperor....Just an idea to toss out there for story development...as bound to duty, honor and loyalty as she is in nature, she would want her son safe on the throne.

Ironwolf85

this is what you get for banging out a profile quickly really late at night  ::)
I thought about the black star, but if no copies then I'll go for the infinium.
Skyrim is the only game where you can actually take on the dark brotherhood, I see no reason not to, if someone wants to be part of the skyrim chapter I thought they would've mentoned it by now.
if someone does, please inform me and I'll change it to a sound ass whuppin, hey if you want to be their speaker a position did just open up...

Destiny Ascension

Name: Ruvena
Titles: Divine Crusader
Race: Breton
Country: Cyrodiil

Factions: Knights of the Nine(Divine Crusader), Blades(Knight-sister), Fighters Guild(Guardian), Mages Guild(Battlemage)
Skills: Master (One handed, Shield, Restoration, Heavy Armor), Expert (Archery, Persuasion, Destruction, Speech), Adept (Sneak, Smithing, Alteration, Illusion, Two-handed, Light Armor)
Birthsign: The Lady

Equipment: Armor of the Crusader(Helm, greaves, gauntlets and cuirass)
Artifacts: Sword of the Crusader, Shield of the Crusader

Personality: Devout, merciful, courageous, determined, loyal, fierce, cautious.
Backstory: Born and raised in the city of Bruma, Ruvena learned the arts of fighting from a younger age. She was quick and agile and preferred to lose her days in the snow capped peaks and ridges around Bruma, fighting whatever she fancied mimiced tress that particular day, instead of attending to chores or other duties. When she was of age, she wasted little time before joining the Bruma City Guard and later on, the Fighters Guild, proving herself equally capable of protecting and completing contracts, often times doing both at once. Soon her ferocity in battle even attracted the attention of the occupants of Cloud Ruler Temple, though it was many years before the potential for joining the Blades presented itself. Many years after joining the Bruma guard, Ruvena proved herself, this time more widely so, when she and several other guards narrowly managed to save a caravan carrying Ebel Septim, youngest son of Emperor Uriel Septim, from an ambush of bandits. Of her fellow guards, only Ruvena survived, though was suitably wounded in the battle to be rewarded. As a result, she was inducted into the Blades some weeks after her recovery.

Her welcoming was quick, as she had more than a few new duties dropped into her lap. Despite the efforts of others, only a year later, the Mythic Dawn murdered the Emperor and all of his sons, and Ruvena travelled west of the Imperial City, in disguise, to try and find out more about who had done it. Others were spread out among the empire, seeking answers, and on the western coast of Cyrodiil, in the streets of Anvil, Ruvena found her own answers. As she slept, harrowing nightmares plagued her, of fire and death and terrible darkness. When she awoke, she learned that through the night, someone attacked the Chapel of Dibella in Anvil, murdering everyone inside. Investigating further, and meeting a mad prophet speaking of the end of the world, Ruvena grew more than curious. He spoke to her of Umaril the Unfeathered and his quest to destroy the Divines, of Pelinal Whitestrake, the Divine Crusader.

Her duties were to investigate those behind the murder of the late emperor, yet hearing of all that had happened on her travel from the Imperial City, including the attack on Kvatch, she felt the affairs of the empire were well and out of her hands. Travelling from Anvil to Skingrad, following the advice of the prophet in Anvil, Ruvena set out to track down the wayshrines of the Nine Divines. For nine weeks she scoured the countryside of Cyrodiil, travelling from one end of the province to the other, finding wayshrines along the way and proving herself worthy of blessing. She also took on jobs from the Fighters Guild, and occasionally received cryptic orders from the Blades, tasked to find information on the cult responsible for unleashing the crisis of Oblivion on Cyrodiil, the Mythic Dawn. Ruvena managed to find and pray at a wayshrine for each of the Divines, and shortly after her last prayer, she received a vision from the Divine Crusader, Pelinal Whitestrake.

With her path set before her, Ruvena went out in search of the Crusaders relics, starting with the helm. Despite the crisis strangling the province, Ruvena moved quickly, recapturing the Priory of the Nine and assembling willing Knights through her travels as she gathered all the relics, eventually culminating in the prophet meeting her at the Priory of the Nine and Ruvena receiving the Blessing of Talos and soon, launching an assault on Garlas Malatar, the ruins in which Umaril had chosen to hide. Despite fighting bravely and hard, the Aurorans which served Umaril seemed infinite in number, though Ruvena pushed forward, confronting Umaril himself in the seat of his power, and slaying him, both in the physical and spiritual forms, thus ending his quest to destroy the Nine Divines. Ruvena later awoke at the Priory of the Nine, to the cheer of the surviving knights.

As above, I too can switch factions/nations should the need arise, should no one else wish to be the Dragonborn.

Hello there!

Would you still welcome another player? I admit that although I am a huge Elder Scrolls nerd and fan, my knowledge is pretty much based on Morrowind, Redguard and Daggerfall (yeah, I'm kinda stuck in time here). Ah, and Primarch, another Warhammer 40K fan, player and fluff-addict here! ;)  I see that the Nerevarine is already taken... would you care for a lesser, perhaps Telvanni associate? An Indoril, Tribunal Temple Zealot that still does not believes the Living Gods perished? (thinking about a disciple of Sotha Sil here...)

Or maybe I could go back in time and bring up the Emperor's Champion from Daggerfall. What do you think?
Mourning.

Hey there, just wondering if there'd still be enough space for another player. I know a fair bit of knowledge on the Oblivion Games, played them from Morrowind all the way through to Skyrim. If it'd be possible, I'd lean towards a sneaky character who's either the listener or the speaker for the Dark Brotherhood, with a tendency to affiliate with the Thieves' Guild if possible.

Only fair way I see of resolving this is a fight to the death. Meet up in RL and bare knuckle box until only one man remains, winner can be Dragonborne.
I jest, we're all adults here. Discuss it amongst yourselves and let me know what you decide. You're both very welcome to the game.

Another character would be very welcome. A Morrowind based character would be appreciated (I'd rather keep it to the current three "factions" for now, as they currently are underpopulated as it is, was expecting more interest). While your character is very welcome to believe Sotha Sil and co. are still alive, if he's coming from Morrowind with my character he just may inform him "Well yes, I killed Vivec several years ago. Almalexia too." But we can cross that bridge when we come to it.

Name: Rulindul.
Titles: Ice-Veins, Light-Foot, Speaker.
Race: High Elf.
Country: Cyrodiil.

Factions: Dark Brotherhood (Speaker), Thieves Guild (Master Thief), Mages Guild (Journeyman), Fighter's Guild (Apprentice)
Skills:  Master (Sneak, Alchemy, Illusion, One-Handed), Expert (Archery, Lockpicking, Light Armour, Pickpocketing), Adept (Restoration, Destruction, Alteration, Speech, Heavy Armour, Two-Handed, Smthing, Enchantment, Blocking)
Birthsign: Steed.

Equipment: Shrouded Armour (Dark Brotherhood), Elven bow and arrows.
Artifacts: Umbra Sword, Blade of Woe

Personality: Sneaky, proud, stubborn, detached, confident, mysterious.
Backstory: Due to the fact that Rulindul holds the title of the Speaker of the Dark Brotherhood's sect within Cyrodiil his past remains shrouded in mystery and bloodshed, especially due to the confrontations between those outside and inside the Dark Brotherhood itself. The earliest known sighting of Rulindul was as a promising pickpocket within the Thieves' Guild, however, Rulindul's look outran him and eventually he was captured by the Imperial Guard for pickpocketing a wealthy merchant. Thrown into a cell, he immediately attempted to escape, only to find his escape thwarted by an unruly prisoner who attempted to alert the guards before he was able to escape. Due to this, Rulindul was forced to slit the prisoner's throat, and he eventually disappeared from the prison after successfully lockpicking his cell, as well as the prisoner's.

The next sighting of Rulindul was where he had apparently taken up residence within the Talos Plaza District, his past forgotten and behind him, he remained a mysterious individual who was thought only by the fashionable clothes he would wear out in the public. However, Rulindul had actually been made a member of the Dark Brotherhood, and after taking out a few contracts of his own and fulfilling them perfectly, thanks to his previous skills as a thief, he quickly rose through the ranks until he was presented with the opportunity of becoming the Speaker of the Dark Brotherhood. This involved a tricky contract that involved striking out at and attempting to find information on the current Speaker, Lucien Lachance due to the thoughts of a traitor within the Dark Brotherhood.

Due to Rulindul's growing influence he was able to gain aid from the members of the Brotherhood's Initiates and despite the fact he still had a major contract concerning Lachance, Rulindul took on another contract concerning Matthieu Bellamont and the Serpent's Wake, obviously oblivious to Bellamont's treachery, they both struck down the crew of the Serpent's Wake and fled the scene without any knowledge of that they would become angry Wraiths. It was there that Rulindul, from one of the Brotherhood's high ranking members, Teinaava, was given the Blade of Woe, specifically for completing the contract that he had been having difficulty with himself.

Rulindel was not successful in his hunt for the traitor, shortly afterwards the death of Lucien was announced and the Dark Brotherhood was eventually restored to it's fully glory, Rulindel had emerged as the Speaker of the Dark Brotherhood and a fully fledged member of the Black Hand.

Primarch

Pick which area you want your character to be from and fix up your history to suit. (For instance, if your character is from Skyrim, he's not going to be doing anything involving Lucien, he'll for all intents and purposes have gone through the Skyrim Brotherhood quest line).

Kriz

What I was thinking is that he'd moved from Cyrodiil to Skyrim, to make sure that it doesn't really alter any storylines, I'll edit it to say he's from Cyrodiil though aha.

Well the idea of picking a location is that your character will be representing that location at the meeting of characters, characters who've taken over Skyrim storylines will be representing the interests of Skyrim and Skyrim chapters of their factions/guilds, characters from Cyrodiil doing the same for Cyrodiil factons/guilds and so on. So if your character is going to be involved in Cyrodiil and the Cyrodiil Dark Brotherhood, have him from Cyrodiil.

Kriz

Primarch

No, the characters can't be split between countries, so if he's from Cyrodiil he can't be involved in the Companions, nor can he be living in Skyrim as he can't be performing his duties to the Cyrodiil Brotherhood & Thieves Guild, if he's Skyrim then his history should feature him being inducted to Skyrim's factions and his location will be set to Skyrim. Not to mention a finished version shouldn't have the OOC part "(Cyrodill, Skyrim, Morrowind, I can change it to suit whatever's needed)"

Once you've picked a location to represent and committed your character to it you should be fine.
