Posting Pictures on Threads

So... I don't know if I'm going to phrase this right because I'm something of a technilogical dummy so bear with me... I want to know how to put a picture in my thread. For example in the One on One Roleplays Wanted when I put my story requests and things up how do I get a picture to go along with that on there? I can't seem to figure it out and it is driving me nuts!

If you have a bit of time on your hands, I would also recommend resizing the pictures beforehand if you have a good image editor, mostly so you can avoid images that force scrollbars into posts because they're really big. :-) That way, people can see all of the image at once without scrolling up/down/sideways.

I find that tinypic.com... >> <<;  Though I do kind of loath that site, works pretty well to resize it to a webpage size.  I usually try for 600 x 400.

Thank you I really appreciate it. I'll look at tinypic.com but I think that photobucket has a resizer now (?) so I'll check there first.

If photobucket doesn't, I know that Imageshack does.

photobucket can resize your pictures if you choose the right settings. However what I like about photobucket is that it will allow you to post thumbnails. you just select the picture and then go down to the bottom and click the 'generate code button' then it is just copy and paste.

Be careful with Photobucket, they have a very strict 'no-porn' policy and will delete pictures that are even remotely suggestive. Almost no bare flesh gets past their checkers, sometimes not even underwear pics. For a more relaxed free image hosting site try Imagefap.com. If they don't have a resizing tool you can resize a jpeg in good old Windows Paint using the 'stretch' tool (just set the new size to less than 100% to make it smaller). For pictures you will use in your Elliquiy threads you can also upload images to Elliquiy's wiki, there's posts in this section showing you how.
