Paradox

I checked around for posts relating to this, but so far I haven't seen any.

What is this new business about Referrals in our profiles?

I was just wondering the same thing. Me thinks Veks is trying to mess with something again  :P  :D

Dude.  I was so just wondering this.

I see that copying and pasting the link brings you to the forum index. *shrugs*

The way I see it is this, you copy that link and post it on other sites, when someone follows it back here you get a hit, when they sign up you get a referral.  That number at the end is you member number.

Now what they will count for I don't know, but it is a tally system.

That's what I figured as well; I'm just foggy on why.  Does the winner get a cookie?

And do we get to decide what kind of cookie we get if we do win?  ;D

You know, could probably actually arrange that, 'winner gets cookies'... But yeah, Dawg described it right.

You can see "referred members' posts", there. If there's going to be a winner that of course would be the metric we would use. Cookies may be involved : )

The real winner, though, is harder to measure because I want people to put role playing or a variant in the link:

Elliquiy Sexual Roleplaying
Elliquiy Sexual Roleplay
Elliquiy Sexual Role Play
Elliquiy Sexual RP
<a href="http://elliquiy.com">Elliquiy Sexual Role Playing</a>
<a href="http://elliquiy.com">Elliquiy Sexual Roleplaying</a>
<a href="http://elliquiy.com">Elliquiy Sexual Roleplay</a>
<a href="http://elliquiy.com">Elliquiy Sexual Role Play</a>
<a href="http://elliquiy.com">Elliquiy Sexual RP</a>

I put 'sexual' there because that's the keyword Elliquiy is currently weak in. We're also almost nonexistent in 'mature' and of course, if you already have a link that includes 'erotic' or 'adult' please don't change it. If it just says 'Elliquiy' though, changing it would be good.

I want to recognize people who refer people to Elliquiy. Both through this, and people who continue to put up links to Elliquiy's root page on a number of sites and invite people directly - giving them a nice shiny new tag. Using the referral link will not count for that nearly as much as links to the root page would.

But yes. I want to recognize people who promote this place, and try to encourage a bit more of it through recognition and such : )

Greenthorn

Well that sucks!  All those links I put out there and I won't get credit for it!!  And well...Muse?!?!?

....

.......

Just kidding ;D

I think it's a nice idea...but possibly dangerous...considering that we'll be getting another influx.

Apparently Myspace thinks that Elliquiy is a phishing scam.

Damn they're on to us! *Runs away Three Stooges style!*
If you're searching the lines for a point, well you've probably missed it; there was never anything there in the first place.

It probably just doesn't like the look of the affiliate link.

Aww... and I've already referred all the people I know.  *lol*  Three of them are members now, can I have a cookie?  :P

Edit:  Wait!  4!  *lol*
