the roku device

It is not connecting to the internet.  I have tried restarting, did that about 20 times.  I rebooted my modem.  I went into settings and tried set up connection.  It is detecting my network, just refusing to connect.  All anyone I know can tell me is it died, replace it.  That's not gonna be an option until next month.  Any more options other than cursing at it in a few different languages and the biggest hammer I can find?
