Because I am bad at decisions and if I pick the first one that comes to mind it's usually insane. I picked Titanium. I mean one of his alias' is The Man of Titanium. So it works. He picked that alias because. "I'm a bit lighter than my second uncle and I'm a lot more durable."

He has been sent your way.  ;D

I forgot to add a space for kinks in the character sheet.

I added it!

Now, sleepytime.

Alhanna

Pending approval from Life in Color..... I present to you, my character!

==Basics==

Name: Kelsi Grey
Nicknames:
Aliases: Silverfire
Gender: Female
Sexual Preference: Bi-Curious
Relationship Status: Single
Kinks: She has very few kinks as she's quite vanilla, though very light bondage and rough sex can be fun.
Age: 23

==Relationships==

Family: Rachel Grey (mother), Korvus of the Shi'ar (father), Scott Summers (grandfather), Jean Grey (grandmother), Nate Grey (uncle), Nathan "Cable" Grey (uncle), Alex Summers (great uncle)
Players:

==Description==

Height: 5'6"
Weight: 127lbs
Physical Description: Despite being a human-Shi'ar hybrid, Kelsi looks completely human. She's of average height, on the slender side, with curves where a woman needs them. She keeps her hair just past her shoulder, the color of flames. She has green eyes, thick lashes, and unlike many redheads, she seems to tan pretty easily.
Personality Description: Being raised by the formidable Rachel Grey, with all the trauma of her mother's past/future, made Kelsi extremely sensitive. Not emotionally sensitive but rather in tune to those she cares about. Compassionate, kind, she is of a generous heart. But as the saying goes, when good men (or women) go to war, demons run. When she's angry, she does not hold back.
Background/History: Kelsi Grey is the only child of Rachel Grey and Korvus of the Shi'ar. As her mother tells it, when Rachel discovered she was pregnant, she wanted to raise her child in the relative safety of Earth. Korvus was distinctly uncomfortable about the idea and a compromise was never achieved. Heartbroken, Rachel went to Earth and bore her child in the safety of anonymity. Though still bearing the power of the Phoenix, Rachel Grey decided that her family was more important.

For the most part, Kelsi's life was practically Brady Bunch normal. She went to school, had friends, took athletic classes, and pretty much was the average girl. But when Kelsi reached puberty, her abilities emerged. When she was upset, dishes flew. When she felt an empathetic connection with a friend, she could literally read their minds and feel their emotions. It was devastating.

So Rachel uprooted her daughter and moved to the country, resorted to homeschooling and introduced Kelsi to the life of a mutant. Kelsi learned how to control her abilities, but something in the back of her mind was blooming a powerful potential. It waited, rested, for the day when she would call upon it.

Once it was clear Kelsi had decent control of her powers, she and her mother returned to the city, allowing Kelsi to finish High School. During her senior year, however, Kelsi lost control. It was prom night and her date decided that because she was his date, he was allowed liberties she never said he was granted. The power that waited came to the fore and her date suffered greatly.

Thankfully, Rachel sensed what had happened and used her telepathy to alter the memories of what had happened. It seemed the Phoenix had decided to split and go into Kelsi, giving her the cool silvery-blue energy aura and the possibility of enhancing her abilities when needed.

Disturbed by what had happened, Kelsi tried to restrain her powers and live a normal life. But life, as they say, never goes the way you want….

==The Special Stuff==

Powers:

Telekinesis: Imagine being able to move anything any way you want. Imagine being able to fly. Imagine a concentrated shield. Whatever your imagination is, telekinesis could probably achieve. It has been theorized that with enough power, a telekinetic could alter atoms—indeed, that was how the Dark Phoenix had been able to alter a natural tree into a tree of solid gold. However, Kelsi's isn't quite that strong, but she can fly, shield, move objects.

Telepathy: Kelsi's telepathy has not yet reached the level of her mother or grandmother. If she was touching someone, she could read their thoughts and sense their emotions. If she knew the person quite well, she can read and touch their minds without having to physically touch them.

Phoenix: Thankfully not as strong as the original Phoenix, Kelsi does possess a sliver of it. In times of great stress, it can enhance her abilities to a degree beyond her control.

Animal Empathy: Kelsi adores, simply adores, animals. Whether this was the result of her telepathy or a separate ability, she had long been able to communicate with them. While not entirely useful, it's one of her abilities that she is comfortable using all the time.

Skills: Gymnastics, moderate self-defense skills, basic computer skills, horse-riding, basic psychology, dagger-handling
Weaknesses: chocolate, animals in pain, fear of losing control of her powers
Extras:

Dagger: Drummed into her mind by her mother, Kelsi was taught to never depend solely upon her powers. So she learned the basics of using a dagger. It is strapped to her left leg.

Body Armor: Some parts of her costume are actually toughened body armor, contured to protect certain vital points. Granted, it doesn't cover all over, but she was satisfied with how it looks.

Costume Description: A mixture of light gray and shades of bright blue, it does reveal some cleavage, her midriff, and the sides of her legs. She has a sash tied around her waist, a mask to conceal her face.

She's real, she's deep, she's logical and mystical. She believes in kindness and oneness and romance. She's sensitive and distant, a warrior, a lover. She believes in road trips to the stars and dancing with the universe. She's fearless and gentle, wondrous and brave. She lives in waterfalls and forests and sunsets and galaxies. Tentative Idea - Much writing to do...

Oliver Strange - wealthy, playboy, bit of a douche
Role to fill - Stealth?

Father - Dr. Stephen Strange
Mother - No one speaks about Oliver's mother - Not even Wong

When the Sorceror Supreme went missing during Oliver's eleventh year; Wong; ever the devoted servant raised Oliver as best he could.  While capable and devoted, Oliver proved to be a significant challenge for the aging Wong.  He employed the assistance of the sorceress, Jennifer Kale and his younger cousin, Qing to help watch over Oliver.

As it turned out, Dr. Strange had made a number of intelligent and seemingly timely investments over the years and had amassed an impressive fortune.  This allowed  Oliver to live a very easy life; so much so that often, Oliver would go out of his way to make life less easy for him as well as his three "keepers".

In his late twenties; on a weekend where he was feeling particularly bored and particular resentful of his absentee father; Oliver found a particularly well-warded and obfuscated room tucked away in the Sanctum Sanctorum.  There, he found an abundance of ancient tomes, occult artifacts and arcane as well as profane objects.  Suffice to say; Oliver explored the room thoroughly.

Of all the things that he explored and examined a briefcase (of all things) covered with runes and placed precisely inside some manner of arcane circle was what caught his attention.

Within the briefcase he found a strange, hooded cloak, boots and a pair of high caliber pistols.

It was only a few hours later that Oliver revealed that the items once belonged to the villain known as The Hood.  The boots allowed him to walk (or run on air) and the cloak allowed him to become entirely invisible.  The pistols?  Well...they were not as subtle as he liked but holding both of them at the same time did make him feel bad ass.

Oliver had a handful of "adventures" as he grew used to the cloak and the boots when he returned to the Sanctum Sanctorum one evening to find it under assault by a number of demons.  As it turned out; removing the items from the warded briefcase and the protective circle had alerted Dormammu to their existence once more.  The demons had done an exemplary job of torturing and killing Wong and Jennifer Kale while Qing was nowhere to be found.

Using minor spells as well as the pistols and his new abilities, Oliver was able to destroy a few of the demons and drive the rest of them away.  It was after he had finished cleaning up the remains of Wong and Jennifer that he discovered he was the cause for the assault.  Oliver did not report their deaths to the police.  He really had no idea what to explain to them so after he properly saw to their remains it is not only him that lives in the sanctum sanctorum with brand new wards set to keep Dormammu's minions at bay.

Oliver is motivated now to stop being so selfish (not so easy to do), find Qing and learn more from her about what happened that night as well as redeem himself for the deaths of Wong and Jennifer.

He used the boots and cloak (and pistols if necessary) for what he deems to be..."for good".

Powers - none

Abilities -

Spellcasting - Oliver grew up surrounded by the occult.  He's learned a good deal over time despite really acknowledging it.  He is able to cast very minor spells here and there.  He can cast spells of great power and import if he has the proper books and materials...and time.  It takes him a good deal of time.

Kung Fu - Oliver knows it!  He learned it from Wong and trained for years.  He could be considered a black belt...if demons cared about black belts he would be set!

Pistols - over the last year Oliver has been practicing with firing his pistols, sometimes even with both hands.  It's not as easy as it sounds but really; he doesn't have much else to do BUT practice.

Enchanted bullets - if given the time...and if he's actually using his head for once, Oliver can enchant some of the bullets he uses in his pistols to have various unusual effects.

Cloak - Oliver can turn invisible for as long as he can hold his breath. (2 minutes, 22 seconds)  This is magical invisibility.  This makes him invisible to all manner of visual technology such as infrared, etc.   He CAN still show up on sonar.

Cloak - Oliver can see through magical, psychic and tech-based "illusions".

Boots - Oliver can walk or run on air as easily as he can on the ground.

*** MUCH more to write but please let me know if this is passable and not utter rubbish to start.  Yes...I know the origin story is contrived and...awful. ***

Lithium

Hmmm, now that I've finished writing the CS, I'm thinking that it might make more sense to swap roles with one of the specialists. What do you guys think? Anyways, hope you like her! :3

Gloom
Player Name: Lithium

==Basics==

Name: Drenyra Wagner
Nicknames: Drey, Nyra, Baby Devil, Hell's Huntress
Aliases: Gloom
Gender: Female
Sexual Preference: Bisexual
Relationship Status: Single
Kinks: BDSM, multiple partners, multiple penetration, roughness, passion, biting, scratching, just to name a few.
Age: 18

==Relationships==

Family:

  • Nightcrawler (Father) - Former X-Man (Deceased)
  • Satana (Mother) - Former Thunderbolt member (Waging war in Hell)
Players:

==Description==

Height: 5'5"

Weight: 118 lbs.

Physical Description: Starting with the features that usually jump out at people first, Drey's skin is a dusky purple, her eyes are a full glowing golden-yellow with no irises, she has two large horns growing out the sides of her head, and her tailbone has an actual 6 foot long tail attached to it. Somewhat less obvious are the glyphs etched down her arms, legs, tail and on her face, since they normally blend in with her flesh, only glowing blueish white when she uses her powers. Other than that, Drey has a petite, svelte build with sensuous curves befitting a succubus, or half-succubus in her case. Her facial features are fine and delicate, they could almost be considered angelic if not for the little details like the horns and glowing eyes. She has a mane of thick, jet black, wavy hair reaching down to her lower back. Compared to the average human, Drey's ears are slightly longer and pointier, and she has at least half a dozen piercings along either ear's outer ridge. Her upper and lower canines are also a bit longer and sharper, lending her a slightly more feral appearance when she decides to bear them.

Personality Description: Perhaps not what most would expect from one born of demonic lineage, Drey is typically a bubbly, outgoing and fun-loving girl. She loves feeling good and making those around her feel the same. She also loves attention, so it's only natural that she gravitates towards being the life of the party. At the same time, Drey also feels very deeply, whether it be for better or for worse, which means that her mood can be rather mercurial at times, and that she's prone to emotional outbursts. As for being a hero, her primary reason for choosing that path is because she believes it would have made her late father proud. Of course, being accustomed to living in Hell, her moral compass is not always perfectly in line with what's acceptable on Earth, but she holds only good intentions in her heart.

Background/History: Drenyra was actually born on Earth, somewhere in Albuquerque, New Mexico to be more precise, though her childhood couldn't exactly be considered normal. Even with the world having more or less accepted the existence of super-powered individuals, it was still very challenging and potentially dangerous to live in public when you were a blue or purple demonic looking thing with a tail thrashing around behind you, so Kurt retired to a ranch in the remote countryside to raise his daughter in peace. As for her mother, she unfortunately wasn't able to stick around very long after giving birth, since she still had a war to wage in Hell against her father to keep him from literally causing all Hell to break loose on Earth where her daughter resided.

Most of the memories from those first few years of her life would fade with time, although Drey would never forget the moments spent frolicking with her two kittens or cuddling with her father on the couch. Nor would she allow the basic principles about life that he taught her slip away, no matter what, not even after he passed away from mysterious causes and she ended up having to live in Hell with her mother.

Being absolutely heartbroken, she didn't take to her new life very well at first, but she managed to adapt and thrive eventually. As a child, it was difficult to understand why her mother was constantly away, seemingly having no time for her, so their relationship could definitely be considered rocky, even though they both loved each other unconditionally.

Having learned that she should always seek to do good and help others from her dad, Drey found a way to do just that once she got a little bit older. Even in Hell, there were plenty of lost and tortured souls that needed protection from the innumerable demonic fiends and beasts that roamed the wastes. Making it her mission to hunt down those evil threats and keep the villages of Satana's realm safe, she got good at it pretty quick, even making a name for herself.

Not long after her eighteenth birthday, she tracked down one of the most dangerous monsters that she'd ever had to face, a Warpbeast which had been rampaging all over the place, warping from one spot to the next similarly to what Drey's own powers allowed her to do. What she wasn't aware of, however, was that Warpbeasts could also tear rifts into other dimensions in times of great distress. So, after she'd snapped one of the beast's massive horns off with her tail and spiked the pointy chunk of bone down through its skull, she certainly wasn't expecting to end up on Earth, in the middle of a suburb, still perched atop the twitching Warpbeast.

Awkwaaaaaaard...

==The Special Stuff==

Roster Position: The Sneak

Powers:

Demonic Physiology - Other than the obvious aesthetic differences, Drey's body comes with several advantageous traits inherited from her parents. Her level of agility, dexterity, coordination, balance and reflexes put even the most accomplished human athletes to shame, and her spine is more flexible, allowing her to perform impressive feats of contortionism. She can cling to almost any surface thanks to the microscopic suction cups located on the pads of her hands and feet. Her nails can extend into razor sharp claws at will, and her eyes can see perfectly in the dark.

Soulstealer - Being half-succubus, Drey has inherited her mother's ability to extract and feed upon the psychic energy of human souls through touch, a process which can leave the donor anywhere from slightly tired to dead, depending on how much she takes. Unlike her mother, however, Drey isn't limited to feeding only from males. The downside is that she has to feed periodically while on Earth, with failure to do so sending her into a crazed, murderous and lustful frenzy until her thirst is satiated. Her overall power also fluctuates depending on how recently and how much she's fed.

Teleportation - By momentarily displacing herself and any other mass that she might wish to bring along through an alternate dimension, Drey can essentially teleport all but instantaneously, though her power does have several limitations. Most notably, she can only teleport to a location that she can see, or one that she has perfect knowledge of. Currently, 1 mile is the upper limit on her range, anything longer than that being extremely taxing on her.

Soulfire - The first and only spell that Drey has managed to learn so far, courtesy of mom. She can conjure up and manipulate eldritch energy, either in the form of blue-white flames or concussive bolts.

Skills: Competent fighter (more instinct than skill), ambidexterity, extensive knowledge of Hell and battling demons, basic magical knowledge, limited unconscious extrasensory spatial awareness.

Weaknesses: Having to feed on psychic energy regularly, impulse control, emotional volatility, easily distracted, slight sensitivity to cold, lack of knowledge about Earth, kittens or cute fluffy critters in general.

Extras:

Prehensile Tail - The tail isn't just for show! Not only does Drey possess perfect control over it, but it's also the strongest muscle in her body by far, capable of lifting about 200 lbs. However, it happens to become extremely sensitive when she's in a state of arousal, which can be either very awkward or very enjoyable, depending on the situation.

Costume Description: Since teleporting additional mass causes her to strain and tire faster, Drey's costume is rather minimalistic. She wears only a tube top bra, a loincloth and a pair of closed thong sandals, all fashioned out of the same black basilisk hide.

So much fucking-yes is going on in there.

As far as swapping roles, we definitely have some play room.

Although, if she's going to be focusing on spellwork at all, we could have a couple Magicians.

You guys are making me so happy right now.

Hey Lithium!

Sorry about that.

Want me to go with more of a "magic" angle rather than the Sneak?  You have a great character.  :)

Yayyy, I'm so glad!! =^.^=

I'm thinking that she'll be about 50/50 split between her teleportation specialty and magic, so she could fit as a Magician too. I don't really mind which role she's classified as, I just figured she didn't fit into Sneak that well after all since she's new to Earth and lacking connections. Plus it's a little hard to be 'covert' when you're a fabulous purple demon babe. :P

We can definitely chatter about this as the character forms. If all else fails, we can add another, uh... Specialist? Yeah, another Specialist!

I feel.

*ponders*

I think you can move some of this around.

Even if Ollie isn't a mutant (although men are the carriers of the Homo Superior gene), I feel like Spellcasting would be a power? So, explore that a bit? <3?

Pistols would definitely be under skills, the enchanted bullets can be moved up to abilities (Because spellwork <3).

Thank you for pointing out the Cloak weaknesses, that makes me a happy GM.

Boots:

Pls. <3

Anyways!

It's definitely the start of a thing. Finding a faceclaim for him is going to be... Interesting.

Life in Color

Everything looks fantastic, Lith.

Go ahead and wander over to the OOC thread - we're chitchatting about setting up character connections (and how complicated the Grey-Summer family tree is).

Don't worry about your roster placement, for now.

We'll get everything all figured out.

Description

Height: 6' 0"
Weight: 190 (Without Armor)
Physical Description: Many people assume that the noticeable muscles visible when Fate wears his costume are a sculpted into his armor, but Victor put his son through a number of vigorous 'rites of passage' that helped shape the young man into an athletic, handsome adult. Like his father, Fate carries himself with supreme confidence, even when he feels completely overwhelmed by what is happening around him. Beneath the armor, Fate's trying childhood has left him with a number of visible scars along his back and rib cage.

Personality Description: For the first nine years of his life, Zatara was raised to be the future King of Latveria. He was taught to be regal, demanding, and to never admit a mistake. But deep down, he takes after his mother more than his father. Zatara is compassionate, quick to help others, and more than willing to lay down his life for the greater good. The Doom family temper occasionally reveals itself, but usually in times of great stress. Given his profound belief in himself, it can be difficult for allies to tell when Zatara is in full control and when Nabu is exerting influence over his attitude.

Background/history: Zatara's history begins when Kent Nelson's ends. The original Dr. Fate died during an intense battle with Dr. Doom, but not before Nelson was able to give Doom a glimpse at his fate. Doom saw a future where his empire came to ruin, his influence waned, and his name was remembered only as a cruel despot who had met a fitting end. At first, Doom tried to play the images off as the last feeble trick of a dying man, but they were too vivid, too real. He realized that if he wanted to have any sort of lasting legacy, he could not remain an isolated monarch. And so he changed. Doom became more active in the defense of earth and in the magical community, sometimes replacing Dr. Fate among various magical councils. Over time, people started to believe that there truly was good in Doom. One of his most dedicated believers was Zatanna.

The unlikely pair quickly developed feelings for one another, and Zatanna was named queen of Latveria on the day of their wedding. Together, they worked to turn Latveria into a paradise, a central hub for the magical community. Two years into their marriage, they had a son. Zatanna took it as a sign of just how much Doom had changed that he was willing to let her name the boy after her father, rather than name him Victor Von Doom II.

When Zatara was six years old, he started to have dreams of a golden helmet hidden deep within the palace. The dreams grew stronger and stronger, until Zatara was compelled to search his father's old trophy rooms, where he found the last battle trophy Doom had taken. Doom had never been able to get the helm of fate to work for him, but it called to Zatara, promising him all the power he could imagine. Doom wanted to let the boy try the helmet at once, but Zatanna wouldn't hear of it. They eventually reached a compromise, where Zatara would be free to choose whether or not to utilize the helm once he was 18 years old. Until then, it would be locked away.

Discovering his son's connection to the helmet seemed to change something within Doom. He found himself considering all the ways he could change the world once his son came of age and was ready to fight by his side. Whenever Zatanna left on League business, Doom started putting Zatara through various rites of passage, designed to test his worthiness of the Doom name. Each was more dangerous than the last, but Doom made his son swear not to tell his mother about the deadly challenges. She would not understand.

Things came to a head two years later, when Zatara was badly injured by a pack of wolves during a survival test. His mother returned home to find him being restored by royal surgeons, and in that moment, she realized that Doom could never really change. If she stayed, her son would either die or become as manipulative and deceitful as his father. As soon as Zatara was strong enough to travel, she teleported him from the palace. Mother and son spent over a decade in isolation, never staying in one place long enough for Doom to trace them. This lasted until Zatanna grew ill and died. As the funeral was ending, Doom revealed himself. He admitted that his bitterness over the loss of his family had led him to undo many of the positive changes to Latveria, but he did not hold any ill will towards Zatara. To prove it, he gifted the helm of fate to his son, and promised there would always be a spot in Latveria for him.

Zatara felt a voice in earth's magical defenses now that his mother was gone, and started to use his own extensive training in the dark arts to fill it. As powerful as he was, he knew he would be that much stronger if he used the helm. Each time he wears the helm of fate, there is a battle of wills between Zatara and Nabu, but Zatara is a Von Doom. He is confident that the lord of order cannot influence him, no matter how hard he tries. Zatara has never formally accepted the name Dr. Fate, but the media recognizes the famous helm and has effectively stuck him with the title.

Special Stuff

Roster Position: Sorceror

Powers:

Sorcerer Supreme Zatara was trained by two of the most powerful sorcerer's in the modern age, though they rarely worked together to teach him anything. When not drawing energy directly from the helm, Zatara is like his mother, and often speaks a spell backwards to cast it. He specializes in shields, teleportation (too slow and flashy to be useful in the middle of battle), and energy manipulation. When wearing the helm, these skills are augmented, and he gains access to spell schools that are usually difficult for him, such as sensing the fate of another.

Knowledge of the Unworldly Zatara has extensive experience using wards to prevent magical tracking, and has an encyclopedic knowledge of supernatural beings.

Anticipation The helm augments Zatara's natural ability to anticipate what an enemy is about to do. In the heat of battle, Zatara can often depend too much on this skill, and his over-analysis makes him hesitate.

Weaknesses: Nabu is constantly clawing at the edges of his mind while the helm is in use. He also sufferers from a fear that deep down, he might be like his father, as well as a fear that he won't be as strong as his father when he is truly needed. He also worries that he could grow too dependent on the helm if he utilizes its power too much, which can color his judgement.

Extras:

Helm of Fate The power of the helm is enough to drive lesser beings to madness, and even Zatara isn't safe from it. It augments his natural abilities, but Nabu has his own agenda. The more Zatara draws on Nabu's strength, the more he leaves himself vulnerable to his influence.

Armor Worthy of the Heir to Doom In battle, Zatara is protected by a dull grey armor that covers him from neck to toe. The armor was designed by Doom himself, but is a much more simplistic design than what Doom uses. The helm of fate disrupts many of the systems in traditional Doomtech, so Fate's armor isn't as bulky or functional. Still, it slightly augments his physical strength, and offers him limited protection from heat, cold, and physical damage.

Costume Description: Zatara usually wears the helm of fate in battle, even if he isn't directly drawing on it. The rest of his body is covered in a grey suit of armor and a heavy gold cloak.
