Aye that he was. I think I remember hearing that this song was about an abduction or something, and the person who was abducted escaped or some such. Will look into it.

Edit- The song "Polly" was indeed about an abduction. Krist Novaselik found the article in a newspaper 1987 and it inspired the song.

My personal favorite.
