Do you seek Dungeon delving and adventure without the clunkiness of map-based combat?
Do you want character interactions and bonds that go beyond Cha +2?
Do you want to help create and build the world you play in?

Current Status: Gathering Players
After a bit of time where life took over, I'm back to recruit more adventurers!  Delvers Company is a slowly growing guild that includes multiple groups of adventurers with a shared hideout/guildhall.  At the time of this post, one group is chugging along nicely, we have a less adventure focused side-thread, and are adding a second full adventure group! As adventures progress, players will (hopefully!) have the opportunity to play with their own crew and people in other crews.  Whenever an adventure ends, we can reassess, create new crews, and run again!  Your character has continuity and treasures, goods, and NPCs can persist allowing a growing guild-hall of resources.  If a player drops out, this also makes it easier to add people in.  And, perhaps most importantly, it means we can have a sign on the wall of the guild-hall listing people's conquests.

There are two current projects!
This current adventure is going to be aimed towards people interested in playing female characters with a focus upon female or futa monsters.

Additionally, I am ALSO recruiting (again) female characters who are more interested in the male side of things (though dotted in with others per peoples kinks!)

What I'm going for more than anything though, is fun and adventure.  Delvers Company is definitely about sexy times, but it's also about high fantasy.

I've put below a little bit of code (also posted in the thread itself) for people to fill in regarding what kind of character they would like to play.  I would love to be able to have everyone play (and if this goes well, I want to run MORE Dungeon World), but being realistic party size probably sings best somewhere between 4 and 6.  As such, I'll be looking at characters, sexual prefs, etc, and trying to put together the game that will treat all of us best!  You are welcome to put as much into this (and provide additional information) if you wish, but I'm mostly looking for interesting characters and some degree of balance.

What I'm looking for in terms of finding characters (because people always ask!) is:
-Interesting Character with description physically and/or personality wise that catches my eye
-Goodness-of-Fit with kinks/character roles
-Posting history that shows willingness to crank out several paragraphs per post on as regular of a basis as possible

In terms of Goodness-of-Fit I can tell you that the party currently has a swashbuckling shadow-dancer, a noble bard, and a devout cleric!  We're looking for probably 2 more characters to join!

The OTHER party has a firey immolator, an adorable barbarian, and a sly wizard!  Looking for 2 characters to join there as well!

If you are interested in playing, please fill out the following character form:
Name:
No Gandalfs or SephriophKiller6969s
Race/Class: If your character is /not/ a core Dungeon World class, please note if you have a pdf of the playbook
Sex/Gender: Aiming primarily for female characters
Interested In: This is mostly what YOU the player are interested in. Add more if you want to: Men/Women/Trans/Futa/Masculine Monsters/Feminine Monsters/
Brief Description: At least some physical, some personality
Familiarity With DW/D&D: I'm going to try to fill DMed sections with description and pictures to help, but I'm curious about familiarity with the lore.
How Often Do You Elliquiy?: Daily? Weekly? Constantly but only on weekends? Just give me a little pattern.

We'll be having a thread where we get more detailed, work out stats, and pick playbooks so consider what you want to play in a broad sort of sense.  We can use resources other than the core book (including Class Warfare) so just let me know!

In my signature, you'll see the currently existing threads.  In those, you can see how I run the game if you are interested in that.  The first link in the signature is the Elluiwiki page.  While it isn't necessary for EVERY Delver to play a different class, if you wouldn't want to play a barbarian knowing that there's another Barbarian, that may be good to check.  For the curious, the current characters active overall are a barbarian, bard, immolator, shadow-dancer, and wizard.

So yeah!  Let me know if you are interested!  Feel free to ask any questions you may have!

Hey there, Nastara! So...I might be interested, but I do have a few questions, if you don't mind. :-)

Is this a system-based game, or free-form? If the former, what system does it use? I've never really heard of Dungeon World, so I'm not too sure about what that entails.

Is familiarity with the Dungeon World system necessary, or is this game Newb Friendly?

Where can I get a copy of the various resources I'd need to create a character? What kind of help and support would be offered to a new Dungeon World player who is maybe struggling in creating a character?

Is it solely female characters? I know it says primarily female, but does that mean that males are POSSIBLY allowed, or DEFINITELY NOT allowed? I've got a bit of an itch to play a Male opposite Futa/s at the moment, so if allowed, I'd be wanting to make a Male character. Would that be ok, or is playing a female character compulsory at this point in time?

Everyone sees what you seem to be, few know what you really are; and those few do not dare take a stand against the general opinion. Therefore it is unnecessary to have all the qualities I have enumerated, but it is very necessary to appear to have them. And I shall dare to say this also, that to have them and always observe them is injurious, and that to appear to have them is useful; to appear merciful, faithful, humane, religious, upright, and be so, but with a mind so framed that should you require not to be so, you may be able and know how to change to the opposite.

I can answer most of these, though not all.

Dungeon World is a system of its own, which we are using, but it's very light weight and can be picked up as a player in a matter of minutes. Most of the work is on the GM's part, and most of that is in how to approach things in attitude rather than strict rules.

Starting out, most of us players hadn't tried DW before and we were introduced nicely and easily. There's an SRD and character sheets, which cover pretty much all rules a player needs to know on their own, are freely available.

Hi there!  I am always happy to answer questions!

QuoteIs this a system-based game, or free-form? If the former, what system does it use? I've never really heard of Dungeon World, so I'm not too sure about what that entails.
This is a system-based game!  Dungeon World is a game from the Powered by the Apocalypse family of games.  PbtA games run on a system of 'moves' where an in character action 'triggers' a move to happen.  So 'Hack & Slash' is the move you do when you physically attack an opponent and it tells you what happens with different rolls!  In all cases, you'll be rolling 2d6 plus a modifier from one of your 6 stats (the same stats as classic D&D). All rolls are based on a 10+ is a full on success, a 7-9 is a partial success, and a 6- means there will be a negative consequence (which maaaay include sexy times!)

QuoteIs familiarity with the Dungeon World system necessary, or is this game Newb Friendly?
This is absolutely a newb friendly game!  One of my favorite things about Dungeon World is that it makes it easy to put the pressure of the system on the GM.  You'll make posts where you describe what you're doing and initially I'll say, "Oh! It sounds like you are Parlaying!  Roll + Charisma!"  It's honestly really simple and as you see a couple of rolls happen, you'll probably be able to anticipate what I'd be looking for and just roll yourself!  Like by the second combat (and combats can go QUICKLY) you'll know that when you attack physically, it's Hack & Slash which is probably rolling 2d6+ Strength.  And like, legit? I love Dungeon World SO much and I'll just go around trying to teach everyone this game.  I think that PbtA games (Apocalypse World, Dungeon World, Monsterhearts, Urban Shadows, Masks, Monster of the Week) are PERFECT for this kind of forum.

QuoteWhere can I get a copy of the various resources I'd need to create a character? What kind of help and support would be offered to a new Dungeon World player who is maybe struggling in creating a character?
There will be plenty of help and support for players who are new to Dungeon World!  There are two ways to make a character in Dungeon World, one is choosing a character class and the other is making a character class using Class Warfare (a supplement to the game).  If you are using Class Warfare, I'll probably either send a bunch of messages and make it with you or you can tell me what you're looking for and I'll more or less make it.  Otherwise, there is this page that brings you through character creation!  Before actually joining the game though all you need is a concept.

QuoteIs it solely female characters? I know it says primarily female, but does that mean that males are POSSIBLY allowed, or DEFINITELY NOT allowed? I've got a bit of an itch to play a Male opposite Futa/s at the moment, so if allowed, I'd be wanting to make a Male character. Would that be ok, or is playing a female character compulsory at this point in time?
At this point, I'm really looking for female characters though I may be willing to open it up if we're having a hard time finding them.  I'd say that my own order of preference would be Female>Futa>Male in terms of PCs.  Part of this is just my own personal kinks, I'm just not super into playing futaxmale, part of it is feeling nervous that I won't be able to provide the sexy-times that you'd be looking for given my lack of practice with it!

Feel free to ask more questions if I haven't answered any of these in a satisfactory manner! :D

Ok, that sounds simple enough. I'm not completely new to System Based Games - I've done a few in the past, including D&D and Pathfinder - so it sound simple enough to get the hang of! :D

Ah, I see. Well, I'd probably look over the classes, but since I like to Mix And Match, I would probably end up wanting to Make My Own. I'm the sort of person who ends up going "SCREW THE CLASSES!" in games like Divinity: Original Sin and Skyrim. XD

So...is there a list of species and classes anywhere that I can peruse?

Yeah, I highly doubt you'll have trouble finding female characters for this since it sounds so interesting. Since I'm really rather limited in terms of how many new games I can take on, I have to be fussy and since I have a Futa / Male itch...I don't know if I'd be able to make a female or futa character and stay as interested as if I had a character that was specifically addressing that craving of mine. Um...I'll have a think about it and see if I can come up with something, but if it's pretty severely "No male PC's," then I'll have to politely step away until I've had a think about it. It does sound very fun and I do hope I can come up with something more in line with what you're looking for, but...well, limited time and whatnot, y'know?
Although I will say not to worry about not being able to play Futa x Male. I, personally, am fairly easy to please in that regard. XD

In any case, thank you for your time and I might pop my head back in later today or tomorrow with a female or futa concept if I can get over my craving for Male x Futa. :-)

Men in general judge more by the sense of sight than by that of touch, because everyone can see but few can test by feeling.

Definitely simple enough to get the hang of!  I teach this game all the time to RL groups (or at very least other games similar to it) and very rarely does someone not eventually get it!

In terms of species/classes, think standard D&D stuff!  There is this site that has the base classes, this page which has a bunch of other classes (some free, others not), AND Class Warfare which is a supplementary book that I can help you use to bring an interesting idea into full fruition (I've got it as a physical book, so it's tough for me to get it to people...)  The base classes (and the other pre-made classes) will have a short list of races in each of them, but I'm not letting people be held by that.  Basically think high fantasy!

Okay, that's totally alright!  We just may not be quite lined up at this time, I totally get that!  I'm trying to expand my writing palate a bit, but I'm trying to do so in places that it would effect fewer people at one go and I wouldn't be really locked into it!  I hope we both find exactly the games we are looking for! :D

Ok, so...I've thought about it (quick, I know) but I wanted to try and recreate an archetype of a character I used to run in these kinds of games...so I have a question. Using the Class Warfare tool, is it possible to make a kind of "Summoner" class, who doesn't directly fight herself but instead uses a Summoned Creature or Creatures to fight on her behalf?

I believe it is!

I can think of two ways off the top of my head (and can find more when I've got the book in front of me!); the Golemnist and The Beastmaster.

Basically the way that Class Warfare works is you choose 3 mini-classes that mix and match together into one.  They give different moves, different equipment, all that kind of thing.  There /may/ also be others that I can't think of right now that do precisely that, but those are the two that are popping into my head.

The Golemnist is a Magic-Subtype and has a starting move where she pulls a golem from the elements around her, depending upon how well she rolls the golem can be more or less powerful, more or less actually under her command, etc.  Later powers I'm relatively certain improve the power/reliability of the golem!

The Beastmaster is a Martial-Subtype that is all about commanding a beast that is your ally kind of Druid style.

There may also be others!  What I'm saying is that it should be possible to do it! :P

Race/Class: Halfling Thief
Sex/Gender: Female
Interested In: Collecting Treasure! (Player wise, getting caught by females, futas, feminine monsters, and futa monsters!)
Brief Description:
A lithe halfling girl with a head of feisty and wild red hair flowing freely around her shoulders, a teasing smirk quirking her lips, her eyes an oddity, one sapphire blue, the other emerald green, both with the most brilliant of color to them. Leather armor of a fine quality worn over simple silk under cloths, a sign of high tastes, though strapped to her back a large crossbow, a short sword subbing in for a long sword at her hip, and a curved dagger tucked into a sheathe in her boot. Loves to playfully tease others, though not always good at stopping before going a bit to far. A love of all things that sparkle she can work wonders with a lockpick, and small size makes her hard to spot while scouting.. Though, it isnt unknown for her to get so caught up in a task, she gets caught..

Ok...I think I'd prefer to do a sort of "Summons Astral Animals" or something like that...along the lines of the Eidolon Summoner from Pathfinder, if at all possible. If not, I can find other ways of doing it, but the concept I have in my head is of a fairly timid girl who summons increasingly powerful creatures to fight so she doesn't have to. I'll have a basic Concept up in a second.

Question: Are we allowed to include images, if we can find one we like? If so, what art style should we use?

Because I'm awesome, I'm leaving this here, which is the free to download playkit for Dungeon World on the dev's website, which has everything a starting player needs to play Dungeon World.

So if you don't own the game and wanna play, check this pdf out.  :-)

That may actually also be a thing!  The only reason the golem and the beastmaster came to mind is that beastmaster is partially based on the core Ranger class and I had a player who used a golem!

We can definitely create something that would work like that, even if I have to do a little bit of homebrewing to make it happen.  Dungeon World is a relatively flexible system.

And yes, you can absolutely include images!  I'm not particular in terms of art-style. Not cubist! :P

Thank you for that, wander! I'll initially also be linking the descriptions of the Basic Moves as they come up in play, so things will be nice and easy :)

Name: Sara'luthwen Elanorriel ("Sara" for short)
Race: Elf
Age: The human equivalent of 19.
Class: Summoner?

Sex/Gender: Female
Interested In (Character): Men, Women.
Interested in (Player): Men, Women, Futa's, Monsters, Bestial Creatures, Masculine Creatures, Feminine Creatures, Amorphous Creatures (EG, Slimes).

Brief Description:

-- Appearance:
Sara stands at a surprisingly petite height for an Elven woman, standing at only 5'5, and is of an athletic, well-maintained lithe-but-curvaceous build - her body being what she has learned the humans call "An Hourglass Figure," many men apparently being very interested in her ample, DD-chest - that regularly attracts a lot of unwanted attention to the surprisingly shy, naive young girl. Her long blond hair falls down to around her waist (impossible to take care of without the use of magic!) and her bright, kindly emerald green eyes peer out from a smooth, gracefully curving face. Her skin is soft and smooth, though she has a marring scar across the middle of her back and spine, stretching from her left shoulder blade down to her right hip. Her lips are smooth, graceful and pleasantly plump and her ears end in sharp points, clearly marking her as a pureblooded, "Aristocratic" elf. Despite having left her family and her clan, she still insists on wearing the traditional Spiritualists Garb of her people; a snow-white bustier with golden trim and traditional tribal patterns swirling on the chest that wraps around her body and under her arms and meets in the centre of her back, held in place by a series of thick white laces in a criss-cross pattern.

Her lower half is covered by a short white skirt with yet more golden trimmings and metal ornaments hanging from the waist, with the option of adding a series of white train-like attachments that trail behind her for ceremonial or formal functions. Her stomach and the area just below her chest-level is uncovered, her soft flesh allowed to be exposed to the air around her with the golden winged tattoo that marks her as a Mage among her clan. Her fingerless white and gold gloves extend up to just below her shoulders and match her mid-thigh-high travelling boots. Unfortunately for her, such dress is considered "revealing" and provocative among many human settlements, earning her yet more unwanted attention when wandering around settlements on her own. Were she not a mage, she has no doubt that she would have been taken advantage of by evil, scrupulous men many, many times. Still...it is all she has left of her family and her traditions, and she refuses to allow the more base nature of Mortalkind to strip her of that connection, or intimidate her into changing her own bodies desires and comfort to conform.

-- Personality:
Sara is a woman out of her element; she only left her clan to explore and discover the world a few short months ago, and is still learning about the intricacies of normal, everyday life outside of her nomadic people. As such she can come across as fairly shy and nervous, though once her initial nerves have passed she generally attempts to be friendly and outgoing to everybody she meets, and often comes across as innocent and naive...because she is. However, she is not stupid and often surprises people with her unexpected intelligence in certain matters...you don't live very long as a "Hedge Mage" if you don't have some brains, after all. The elements themselves are very punishing towards fools. She did learn very quickly of course, after one or two note worthy incidents, that many people are not what they seem and many more people only want her for what she can do for them. As such, though she is still naive and is perhaps slightly quick to trust others, she is aware of the fact that she must be more careful and always endeavours to be cautious...though she still finds it exceedingly difficult not to see the best in others and will often be the first to offer assistance or sympathy even when it might prove dangerous or unwise to lower her guard to do so. Her devotion to the Old Gods of her Clan can make her seem like a bit of a prude sometimes, but the truth is that she accepts all sexualities and approaches to intimacy; life is a gift from the Gods, after all, and if your body desires something it is because the Gods will it, and if the Gods will it, then it must be holy and just...right?

Familiarity With DW/D&D: Not very. I'm not exactly a newb, granted, but the last time I played a System Game like D&D or Pathfinder was a good couple of years ago.

How Often Do You Elliquiy?: Daily. My schedule will be altering slightly so that may change to Bi-Daily, but when I'm not working or out with friends (which is admittedly rare) I am always on E. I try and get on at least every evening. I do have to advise you, of course, that I will be flying to China for a new job next week, sooooooo I will be in a very different timezone. I will still endeavour to get on at least every day to catch up with my commitments, or to inform you if there's been a delay. Believe me, I practically live on the internet and I don't see that changing much. :P

Okay, well I leave this post as a placeholder for my application then!

Shadowe the elf will try once more!  :-)

Nastara

Looks great!  And I totally get RL commitments come up!  Real Life is super important ;)

We will have to do some chatting about putting together the actual character class, but I'm sure we can work something out for that! May just be a matter of re-theming an existing thing or we may find something wholecloth!

Of course! :-) I'm leaning towards either an Eidolon-like custom-creature that she summons, or just having a catalogue of creatures that she can pick from to summon to do various bits and pieces...either way, I'm sure we can come up with something that makes both of us happy!

I'm assuming then that this means that she has been preliminarily accepted? :P :P Or is this a "She MIGHT be accepted, we'll just have to wait and see?" :P

I dunno what it is about her, but the idea of having my naive and innocent young elf subdued and raped by Futa monsters is oddly hot. XD
