Duterte declared a state of emergency (effectively: martial law) on the southern island of Mindanao he other day. This kind of attack on a tourist resort near the capital may be all he needs to declare a nationwide state of siege. :(

Too bad he doesn't seem to have actually read the agreement.  Seems we may not be able to simply "back out" of the deal.  Of course I'm sure he's just going to keep yammering away and do whatever pops into his feeble mind while pretty much any credibility we have in making international dealings goes out the window.

So what if he doesn't keep these agreements? Whose going to stop him, a Republican Congress living in fantasy land? The UN General Assembly? The UN International Court Justices?

And what are the odds of the US Supreme Court taking it upon themselves to force retention of the agreement? Is there even precedent or laws which permit them to enforce that?

The reality is that Europe is now largely alone while Putin plans to expand his sphere of influence into eastern Europe, America becomes more isolated as China expands its sphere of influence into the South China Sea and the globe at large.

Collusion with the Russians duh, but really more like a man with a single digit IQ who is literally and physically incapable of understanding: he's little more than a tool in the hands of actually intelligent men, in truth his only role in history is to set the stage for the third world war. Wolf spiders can get that big.  I evicted one from little Oni's room last month about that size.  Did my research later, but the coin comparison in the still makes it look like it was about the same.

The news reporter said, legs and all, it stretched the entire length of her palm and fingers. I've no doubt it's a huntsman, and came in via flora import. I'd just...*shudder* I can deal with large american spiders...but those things that breed in Australia are the stuff of nightmares.

I don't doubt the identification (they did have specialists looking at the actual body).  I did find it interesting that the huntsman is one of the less dangerous spiders from Down Under.

Some guy has driven a van up on the pavement of London Bridge, at the heart of the capital, deliberately aiming to run down people. Still sketchy, but a reporter on the scene told the BBC she had seen five or six people who were injured. It could be more; also, a few may have jumped into the river (at the Westminister attack in March, one woman ended up in the Thames and was pulled out alive by police later).


No, terrorism hasn't taken a break.  :-(

Im getting all sorts of conflicting info about London. Some saying the attacks are over while others say multiple things are going down.

Edit: Most are now saying its over but some of the perpetrators might have escaped.
