#2

Name:Lenally Naga
Played By:DarkRose15
Age: Looks and is 18
Orientation:Bi-curious, attracted to the curves of a woman but too uncertain to explore, very bold with men
Role: Adopted Princess of the Naga
Likes:Fighting, Training, Power, Exploring, Eavesdropping (to learn valuable secrets), Kimber
Dislikes: Wearing dresses, Being lady-like, Knowing she cannot be a true princess, Being underestimated
About: Lenally is not a Naga by birth, she was taken in during a raid upon her original homeland by her adopted parents. Lenally was but an infant at the time, and has no memory of her real mother and father or the circumstances through which she came to be a Princess of the Naga. Needless to say, she has known no other life. She is loyal, yet frustrated as she is a princess in title only. She will never be able to inherit or be in line for the throne of her people as she is not of their house by blood. But she is still a princess, and chooses to use the freedom she has that her siblings do not to train and become a great warrior. She trains with her slave Kimber as well as skilled warriors of her father's court. and it is rumored that they share a strong affection for the other though they would never admit to such a thing publicly. She refuses to dress as a lady unless ordered to do so by her mother, but is glad that for the most part she is left to her own devices. While Lenally cannot inherit, it is strongly suggested that she will be used to cement an alliance with another kingdom at some point. Naturally, Lenally is not entirely pleased with this for several reasons. But Lenally has a craving for power, the power she knows she'll never have. Yet.
Habits: Lenally has a tendency to use foul language as a man, and often the same habits. But she is not entirely uncouth, she can and will act as a proper lady when she absolutely must and can do so with such ease it's hard to tell which version of Lenally is the real one.
Skills: Lenally has a passion for fighting, particularly art forms that include blades and swords. She also is quite good at unarmed combat, choosing to learn it knowing that the possibility of losing one's weapon in combat is high. She is also very good at hearing secrets, and learning facts without giving herself away. Ninja could be an appropriate title for her, and she is still learning.

So, here's a work in progress sheet. I do have some questions for you, Octopus. Namely: What is the motivation for the Naga? There are many reasons to want to conquer, and their motive will help shape my character. Also, I am curious about if they have any sort of special operatives, or particular stations of (relatively) high power that they award to soldiers? Feel free to PM me if it's supposed to be kept secret from players of other Houses.

There is also another idea I had, which is to make a mercenary, and let one of the Houses hire him (before play). Would that be cool?

Name: Itzal
Played By: TheHangedMan
Age: 33
Sex: Male
Orientation: Straight
Role: Rule of Iron Mercenary
Distinguishing Traits: Coldly analytical and dispassionate nature, ritual scarification, extreme tenacity.
Likes: Well endowed women, the feel of leather and fur, properly roasted meat, sweets (shockingly), competitive physical activities (sports, dueling, etc), his Code*.
Dislikes: Failing to uphold his Code, oath-breakers, the needlessly arrogant and rude, hypocrisy.
About: The Rule of Iron is an apolitical organization of mercenaries, a semi-secretive order of warrior-philosophers, with a veil of mysticism surrounding them.  They operate without borders, having secret holdouts scattered across the continent (and, some say, the world). Because their activities are kept very secretive, there are more legends and rumors than actual truth known about the Rule of Iron. They are stalwart and vigilant guardians, proficient assassins, trainers of warriors, and many other things. They are well known for their dedication. When a contract is forged, they will see it through to its completion, even if it results in their death.

Their is another component, however, to their training. All that follow the Rule of Iron are also well educated. They are not only literate, but many are poets of one sort or another, and their is an almost quasi-religious aspect to their beliefs and practices. They are highly philosophical, and in more than one event, they have actually been hired to educate the children of nobles in things other than the art of war.

Itzal was, before his "rebirth", actually a minor warrior in the Iredale house (at the time of his scouting, he held no rank of note). He was recruited for having the potential to be a good member of the organization; and as he felt as if his current career would not take him where he wished to be, his death was staged by the organization, and they took him away.

Itzal, soon after, had the remnants of his past stripped away during The Rite of Reforging; not through any sort of brain washing or magic, but rather through rigid discipline. His old life has gone; it's not that he can't remember it, it's that it no longer has any real bearing on his thoughts or feelings.  It was during this Rite that he received his new name, which means "Shadow".

He passed through the Rite of Reforging, and subsequently passed through the various tests they subjected him to. Then, came years of studying, and practicing. Finally deemed ready, Itzal will be looking forward to his first contract, though he may not yet know what is in store for him.

Habits: Spends at least one hour every day in meditation, though when he can, he often takes 2 or 3 hours.  has no real noticeable habits or 'tells', which is the norm fort a Rule of Iron mercenary.
Skills:  Sword fighting, archery, stealth, lockpicking, light sleeper, logistics, keen awareness.

The Rules of Iron (Code)

Contracts are bound and cast in iron and blood, and must be honored to the fullest extent possible. If a member fails to uphold ones portion of the contract, they are branded Anathema, and this will result in termination of said member. If the contractee uses deception in their portion of the deal, in order to extract additional services, or falsifies information in their claims,  fails to uphold their bargain, or in any other way commits an infraction, then they will be considered Anathema. Truth is the first chain; Honor, the second.

Non-members have neither rights nor privileges when it comes to the execution of the contract. The laws of kings do not stand in the way of the Rule of Iron. Non-members are not to be made privy to inner workings of the Rule of Iron, and any member found to be in breach of this rule will be considered Anathema. Secrecy is the third chain; Vengeance, the fourth.

At all times, active members in the field should keep a lookout for potential situations that may be used to the benefit of the Rule of Iron, or recruits which may have the potential to excel under the Rule of Iron. The only time at which contact should not be prioritized, in the event of important information or exploitable situations appearing, is when the current contract must be pursued.  Failure to report upon ones findings will be met with harsh disciplinary action, but will not be declared Anathema. Vigilance is the fifth chain; Opportunism, the sixth.

All Rites and customs should be observed in operations, except only under the most extreme of conditions (such as when an operative is under cover as being representative of another agency or entity). Though non-members may be allowed to see Rites, No non-members of the organization must be made aware of the significance of these Rites, and if they become aware, they are to be immediately executed by the agent. Said agent will additionally face disciplinary action. Dedication is the seventh chain; Obfuscation, the eighth.

#8

Name: Violet Iredale
Played By: Elvenkitten
Age: 17
Orientation:Bisexual (prefers women)
Role: Princess
Likes: The sea, Archery, music , beautiful women, her ship, Sex
Dislikes:  Threats, Sleeping alone,  being treated like a princess, court politics.
About: Violet loves being at sea and finds city life a bore, she was taught how to fight by her father and is frighteningly good with a short bow. She comes across as a bit naive but it's just an act. On her sixteenth birthday she found two of the servant girls in bed together and after a little joined them. She is very open about her sexuality and this causes some problems with the more conservative members of the house. She dislikes the usual duties of a princess but knows that she has a responsibility to her people.
She wears a modified military uniform to court when allowed and during her free time dresses in ways her parents would see as inappropriate
Habits: Violet can be very headstrong, far too sure of her own abilities. She is very fond of her ship and it's crew. She likes to try and  seduce high-born women and serving girls and sometimes flirts too openly.
Skills: training in swords and daggers, archery,  Sailing, The boring court etiquette stuff, military tactics

ElvenKitten - The Nwydn are actually not a human race. They're the offspring of mated Flora and Fauna - Flora, mythical creatures of the Earth - like nymphs and Fauna, mythical creatures that are neither beast nor man but inbetween.

I should have probably put that earlier but I had forgotten! Obviously some families and races are still a work in progress.

I'm going to write up a post of my ideas on the families, races and kingdoms. If anybody would like to contribute any sort of feedback or suggestion to what I propose- feel free to! I would certainly welcome influence other than my own!

And HangedMan, I will answer you shortly as well!

NO LOOSE ENDS; LET NONE BE THE NOOSE.

MzHyde

Name: Fatimah bint Iman bin Khalid al-Sheikah
Played By: MzHyde
Age: 23
Sex: Female
Orientation: Bisexual
Role: Sheikah Queen
Likes: Freedom, open skies, sparring, exploration
Dislikes:  Sitting still for too long, waiting, being misunderstood

Habits: Fatimah has a habit of staring directly at strangers when she talks to them, looking right into their eyes. It can be unnerving for foreigners, but it is simply an Ifritii way of sizing another person up. When deep in thought, Fatimah has a habit of playing with her daggers - tossing them in the air or twirling them. She has no identifiable tell when she is lying, making her very hard to read. She also has a habit of answering questions with questions, leading to some confusion and frustration with foreign guests or strangers. She seems to try and purposefully test others' patience as a way of seeing what they're made of.

Skills: Survival, close combat, trading, climbing, horseback riding

Distinguishing Traits:
-Heterochromia: Fatimah has one green eye, one gold eye. The trait runs in her family line and it is proof of her lineage. They say that it is a different color because the Sheikah can use it to see into the World of Shadows, an otherworldly veil that surrounds us at all times. Perhaps it is simply folklore. Perhaps not. The Sheikah family are very cryptic on the matter.

-Sand Elf: Crudely refered to as 'Sand Elves' by the more ignorant outsiders, Fatimah's people prefer to be called 'Children of Ifrit', the God that they worship. 'Ifritii' would be an acceptable term. 'Sand Elf' would likely get one 'escorted' from the camp or, in rare cases, their throat cut. Ifritii has dark skin, sandy hair, tend to be athletic and lithe, and have large ears, allowing them to pick out just about any sound - even in the middle of a sandstorm.

-Moonblade Daggers: Carried by Fatimah, these weapons are passed down generation from generation. There is much more rampant speculation about them than actual fact. Even in other countries they are renowned and rightly considered one of the greatest treasures in the world. It is said that they are so sharp they can cut open the sky itself. It has been said that Abdul Sheikha once used them to slake the thirst of his starving people by throwing one of the daggers at a cloud, causing it to burst and rain on the thirsty desert below. It has been said that the Moonblade Daggers glow in the presence of a liar - or in the presence of evil - or in the presence of treasure. No one can say for sure, but the daggers do seem to emit an unearthly blue light from time to time. When pressed, the Sheikha only answer questions with more questions or confusing riddles. It is unsure if any of the rumors are true or if their supposed power is an elaborate hoax carefully designed to hold the nomadic tribes together under one leader.

About: It is unknown which Sheikah united the various nomadic tribes under one banner, but Fatimah's ancestors are responsible for bringing her nation together. The family line has continued since then, each King or Queen (Referred to by Ifritii as 'Great Brother' or 'Great Sister') has held the tribes as one. Though, as nomads, they do not all travel together, they all swear loyalty to the Sheikah family. Sheikah are renowned for being excellent explorers, merchants, and traders. Their trade caravan routes are so complex and mysterious that it is impossible to follow and no maps have ever been found of said routes. It is rumored that, instead of mapping, the Ifritii simply memorize their particular route. Such routes are handed down from person to person in each caravan and tribe, meaning that almost no Ifritii has full knowledge of the complete trade routes.

Sheikah are also accomplished thieves and many find mercenary work to be an enjoyable form of life that gives them the freedom and adventure that they so commonly desire. Unfortunately, this has led to the rest of the world developing a negative view of them as a whole, pegging them all as liars and thieves when nothing could be further from the truth. Sheikah value freedom and honor over all else and are a fairly progressive society. Men and women hold equal rights and respect. Every Sheikah must do their part to help their tribe survive in the harsh wilderness or burning deserts they so often explore. Loyalty to the Sheikah family is a given and nearly unquestioned.

Once, they were one of the most populous nations in the world and had conquered much of the known territory. Their nomadic ways, however, meant that they never settled down anywhere as a whole and, as a result, their numbers have dwindled over hundreds of years. They are now a small but fierce nation. Fatimah's father passed away some few years ago, leaving her with rulership of the entire tribe, a position she has been groomed for since birth.

I'd like to be a wintershold knight prince.

Is this heavily or lightly based on the books.  I haven't read them in a couple years so I'm not caught up on the true lure.

also are you having the lack of magic plus monsters in this one? I have ideas roming that might interest you.

It is not based off the books or show, it is inspired.

We have strange races, magic will be rare and not introduced until later. As for monsters, I am not certain but magic broods monsters.

Your character is good. I am particularly fond of her being a matriarch. I don't accept characters too quickly however, but I feel pretty certain that yours will be accepted.

Chreestafer

Ill have a possible character up soon. But questions, I know you said the wintersholds are dark haired, can I add controversy as the middle prince with blonde hair.  Making it seem like the mother might have had an affair? And if you allow it there is a dark monster I'd like to run by you if you'd allow, I can pm you the idea if you care to hear it.

Also, just to let everyone know DarkRose is co-creator and co-GM of this game, so her opinion of your characters and ideas will be passed by her as well.

I would have to see the character skeleton up first and of course, whoever plays the mother and father of Wintershold would have to be okay with it to.

You can PM me the idea.

I am interested.

Name: Iereth Nagabred
Played By: RavenBackmoon
Age: 20
Sex: Female
Orientation: Straight
Role: Slave in the house of Naga
Distinguishing Traits: Dark spiraled horns. Has small line of silvery scales that go down her legs from hip to ankle. There is a slight green tint to her hair and had matching green eyes that often have a dark twinkle in them when she smiles.
Likes: Is unreasonably distracted by shiny things (probably due to her old dragon lineage), reading old histories (particularly ones about the Nagabred whenever she can find one), and plotting the downfall of those who do her wrong.
Dislikes: Being a servant, being treated poorly, being reminded of her mixed lineage.
About: She is a Nagabred. Iereth grew up in the house of Naga. Her mother (also a Nagabred) died in childbirth. Her father is unknown. She has been given the last name Nagabred as a reminder that she is a child of a naga, and will always serve the Naga-slayers. She is most likely the product of a few generations of mixed naga and humans. She taught herself to read at a young age, often paying close attention to those she served. Iereth, as of late, has been working mostly in the rooms for visiting nobles and guests of power. Her duties often entailed cleaning, preparing baths, serving for them at meals, and occasionally duties in the bedroom. Many found her exotic nature to be intriguing, considering she was one of the increasingly decreasing Nagabred population.
Habits: Hissing to herself and occasionally at others and daydreaming.
Skills: A respectable cook, good at cleaning, good at knowing who is who, and acquiring odds and ends of information as she waits on her masters.
Weaknesses: Her pride and stubbornness. She has a fair number of scars and marks from her disobedience.

Sorry for the massive picture... Was not expecting it to be that big.

The photos are to be illustrations/artwork not photos of real people or photo manipulations. Everything else seems fine so far though.

And for now I will close the Nagabred race. I may consider one more but I think that is all.

Since you are relatively new to the site, you don't have much for me to judge as far as your posting. So I will discuss your acceptance with Rose if you are willing to aim for at least three paragraphs in your posts. Three to nine paragraphs is a general standard in all my games. So naturally, this would go for any other player considering this game. I don't much like the artwork so I'm not sure if I'll accept it. After all, I've put Rose through such Hell in the artwork of her own character it wouldn't be fair if I didn't do the same to others.
