Hello All:

This may be a little off the topic, but what the hell. If I get asked to move this, I'll move it. :)

I'm looking for a pathfinder game to join. I tend to like light fighters or rangers with the occasional rogue thrown in for fun. I can play a cleric or magic user, but I'm not really very well versed on the magic side of the system, but nothing ventured and so on.

Anyway, if anyone has an opening, please feel free to let me know either here, or in PM.

Thanks!

I'd offer to restart one of my games.. but they imploded pretty good.

I am looking to start a game in a bit.

Callie-kun, i hope you do start one of your games again.  I was having a lot of fun with the priate game, and Blikin' was only gone because he was absent from the net that month.  ^_^;;

Yes, and unfortunately one seems to be pretty dead in the water and the other has 2 slots and 4 people wanting them. So, the seeker mode isn't very promising.

I've expressed interest in both, but I'm not hopeful.

But Callie, you were a great GM. I was so disappointed to see Skulls and Shackles being closed when I got back from The Seeing Eye. I was enjoying the game and was looking forward to coming back to it. Muse is right, you're a good GM and should not be disuaded from trying again because of a couple of failed games. Particularly when you're doing it on line, it sometimes take a few tries to get a good, solid game going. I would jump at the chance to play again with you.

Thank you, but if I do anything soon like I said it would most likely organized play based. I'm pretty busy as a Venture-Lieutenant in my local pathfinder society lodge and I don't see anyone wanting to play by PFS rules here. 20 point build with 150 starting gold and limited choices in race.

I should look into the society on the site. It could be challenging. I use to start out with less when playing AD&D so many years ago.

Got my 'GM credit' fighter up to 3rd level. Tower specialist with a preference towards bastard sword as a waepon. (16 14 14 14 10 10). She's got a 26 AC at 3rd level and I'm going to be mixing in shield and maneuver feats from here on.

Yes Pathfinder Society is quite the interesting experiance. With race restrictions people are quite upset over it. But they do an ok job in balancing things. Now off to locate a promising thread.

You are incorrect. I would be down for organized play.

Well thing is.. a LOT of pathfinder players here won't be. (No offense guys). I don't see folks wanting to build 20 pt builds with 150 gp starting. (not to mention the lack of wild and constant sex. :D)

Hmmm... as I said before, I use to play AD&D with a straight 3D6 attribute roll and usually less than 150 GP starting wealth... and *gasp* no sex at all.

So, while I'm a bit confused about organized over disorganized Pathfinder, I would lean more toward saying that you may be surprised about the interest in such a game. Often (and this includes me), it's the challenge of the game that drives it, not the magical items, high stats or sex... well, the sex is fun and a nice deversion, but I haven't actually, gotten into more than 1 sexual situation in a Pathfinder setting to date and only 1 AD&D 2nd setting.

So, in short, to me, the 20 point build and limited wealth don't phase me at all. Nor does the lack of races or classes. If you have the traditional ones (Human, Elf, Dwarf, Half-Elf) and classes (Fighter, mage, thief, cleric), then you're not offering much different than what I cut my teeth on 25 years ago and I had a hell of a blast playing the games.
