What if Gallifrey wasn't destroyed? What if there were more Time Lords around? What if the one calling himself the Doctor wasn't just a quirky adventurer righting wrongs left and right?

What if... Time was just a game to the Time Lords?

The Doctor (slightly or more OC than canon) was one of the players of this game and together with a modern human female companion travels the multiple time streams to play this elaborate game of chess, where each Time Lord has goals of his own and sets about reaching them by interrupting or altering key situations in the time stream. Besides this, each Lord, including the Doctor, has to track down the moves and alterations of the others and 'right' them again.

Time Lords are neither Good nor Evil, but some of them are more ruthless than others.

My Doctor won't easily divulge his own goal in the game, simply pretending to his new companion that he is one of the few that actually just wants to do good by fixing the problems caused by the others.

Who is interested in wonky adventures, a charismatic Doctor with a secret and foes both familiar and new, in a universe that is the playground of our own imagination?

The only requirements?

A female character ready for action, for romance, for humour and for the wibbly wobbly timey wimey...
