Stranded paradise

Ari was so excited to be away from her sister. Grabbing her bag and getting on the boat with her friend, she waved bye to her sister. Sitting down by her friend, she tied her raven black hair in a ponytail. Putting shades over her midnight blue eyes, she relaxed as the sun beamed down on her golden skin. Falling asleep with the lull of the boat, she woke when her friend shook her gently. Grabbing her bag and following her friend, they signed in to a cabin. Leaving her friend to unpack, she went to check out the view.

James had already been on the boat. He was excited to hit the sea to a new adventure in a new land. He was always into sightseeing and experiencing the cultures. A muscular man used to walking and doing some hard labor to earn the money to travel as much as he could. His brown hair was pulled back into a low ponytail. This was going to be a great trip. He could feel it. His black T-shirt was pulled tight across his chest and more so across the back of his broad shoulders. Already unpacked, he was ready to explore the boat.

Ari went to find out where everything was. She knew her friend was just going to rely on her. She went to look and see how many other passengers were on the boat. She came across a guy in a black t-shirt, and went over to greet him.

James turned around see a beautiful young lady approaching him. Unsure exactly what the intention she had for approaching him he decided to greet her first. "Hello, I'm James. What might your name be?" He gave her a good look, not caring what she thought of where his eyes went.

Ari seen him give her a look over, and decided it was a good thing. She said "nice to meet you james, I'm Ari." She wondered how many other people were on, she asked "so what brings you on this boat james?"

Joe turned his head to look out on to the water. "Well, like you, I'm traveling across the ocean. Once I get there I plan on going and seeing all the sights I can see." He looked at her again. Straight into her eyes. "What brings you on the boat?"

"Well my friend and I are on vaction, so we don't really have anywhere in particular we want to go." Looking at him she asked "So do you know anyone on the boat?"

"Sure i don't think my friend will mind, well i have to go find her now." She smiled at him and said "I'll see you around." She walked back to her cabin to see if her friend was there.

James watched her walk away and raised one eyebrow in response confused a little. "Okay, I'll see you around then too." He turned around and walked away starting to circle the deck to get to know it better. There was nothing interesting on the deck he found out, so he stopped and sat down on one of the chairs waiting for the boat to actually depart.

Finding her friend in the cabin, she grabs her hand and pulls her out the room. Going back up to the deck, she walks around to find james and get to know him better.

James looked at Samantha with a smile. "Hello Samantha." He looked back out to sea as he answered her. "Well, as far as I've seen there isn't really anything interesting to do on this boat."

"Weell that doesnt sound like fun, we should do something to keep occupied." Suddenly the skyturneddark and gray and rain poured down. The winds blew hard rocking the boat dangerously. Ari looked over and overheard a passenger saying it was a storm. Standing up up she said to james "We'll see you when the storm passes." She made a run for her cabin , already soaked samantha and her changed clothes; and stayed in their cabin.

James walked down to below the deck towards his cabin. He didn't care if he got wet, but he knew he should change. Walking into his room with his shirt already half off, he put on another T-shirt. It was red this time. He then left his room, making sure to lock it, and found a window to peer out of.

Ari didnt like that there was a storm. It was supposed to be a sunny vacation. Looking out the window, she knew that it'd be awhile before the storm passed.

James walked up to where the open entrance was to exit the lower decks to the open rain. He was rather bored and just wanted something to do until the storm was over. His thoughts quickly went to the two girls he had met, but he brushed them away. There was no way he could find their cabin on this ship unless he was one lucky son of a bitch.

Ari wondered what james was doing, looking over at samantha and seeing she was asleep, Ari slipped out the door to go find james and keep him company.

"She fell asleep, i just came to see if you wanted company." Watching the rain pour down Ari was a bit sad. "So do you think the storm will pass soon?"

"Ok would you like to play a game of cards?" Ari pulled a pack out of her pocket; and sat down in a chair. She was tired of staring at that rain.

Ari shuffles and passes out the cards. Suddenly the boat crashed against something. Ari went sprawling on the floor.

She went to her cabin and they got samantha. Turning around she said, "Let's find out what happened." Going up to the deck they went to see why the boat crashed and into what.

Seeing that they crashed onto a beach, and seen it would be awhile until they could get to their destination. Ari told james and sam to come with her to explore the island. Running to her cabin and grabbing her pack she met them on the beach shore. Ari noticed how it was only drizziling now, she thought it weird; but didnt worry too much about it.

James did almost the same grabbing his lucky backpack he always traveled with. He arrived at the beach shore just before she did. "Well, this is about what I would have done once I arrived anyway, so this works for me." He chucked and smiled heavily at the two girls. "Where do you two want to start exploring?"

James fallowed her westward. He couldn't help but place his eyes on the beautiful views around him. This was a paradise, but they had to think about survival though. He kept his eyes out for useful things. Picking things up every once in a while, he made quite a collection.

Ari was looking at the beauty of trees, seeing many fruits she stopped to pick some to put in her pack. She knew they would need food to eat. Glancing over at James and Sam she said, "I hope there won't be too many frightful creatures here", "We are going to need something to kill the animals with."

James chuckled. "Don't worry about that. I'm sure I can make something to deal with animals. We need to find a place to sleep and keep warm at night. Keep and eye out for shelter."

Smiling at him she said "I guess I hadn't thought about somewhere to sleep." Continuing walking through the trees they came upon a small rundown shelter. Looking at it she said "We'll need to fix it up a bit, I have some thin blankets." Putting her pack down she walked around to survey the shelter better.

"Well hot damn. How about that for falling into our lap like that." He looked at it. "Yeah definitely needs work, but it is good enough for now. It is a little cramped though..." Looking around he saw nothing of use. He set his lucky pack down.

After looking over it she said "It may be small but at least we'll stay dry if it rains again." Looking over at james she asked "So how are we going to fix it up?"

"I honestly don't know how." Thinking to himself he came up with an idea, but it would take some time. "Well, I got a plan, but it will take time, so we should gather firewood for the night before we start." Turning away he started picking up anything he could find that would burn.

Trusting him to come up with something, her and samantha started finding firewood.

He soon set all the firewood he found in a pile and looked at the shelter again. Searching through his backpack he found his extra emergency supplies and pulled out a long rope. "My pack has a lighter in it. Start the fire while I fix the shelter." He then went to work tying the sagging end of the shelter onto the branch of a tree using knots he had learned while traveling.

Doing as she was told, Ari lit the fire to get it going. She then proceeded to take some of the fruit out of her pack and laying them on a small towel, that she was lucky enough to have put in there.

It took him awhile to get the knot right on the sagging side of the shelter, but left it at a slight tilt so water would filter off the edge of the roof and land on the ground instead of building up on parts of the roof and causing it to collapse on top of them. There wasn't much else that could be done with the shelter, so he returned to the two girls. "So what is for dinner?"

Looking at the amount of fruit they had she said " We have fruit so far, all we need is meat." "Why don't you go find a small animal for us?" Separating the fruit evenly she said " We will stay here and watch the fire and setup the blankets."

"We won't be able to get some fresh meat tonight. I will go set traps after we eat. For protean we will just have to deal with the jerky I usually carry as a snack." He pulled out jerky and a knife from his pack and tossed the bag to her. Grabbing some of the smaller branches he started working on snares for fresh meat.

Sitting beside the fire and making room for samantha and james, she said "I don't mind eating jerky." They waited for james to finish with the traps, so they could eat and get a good night's sleep.

He sat beside them and started eating the fruit and bits of jerky. "I love jerky and honestly, we might not get it after this bag is gone." He smiled though and continued to eat.

She was a bit sad about not being able to have anymore je rky. She ate her fruit and jerky and thought about what they would do tomorrow.
