Also, I'd like to add that if you are not selected for this one; there have been positions opened up in the other two. Wildcard for Blades Campaign, and Support for my other one. I have an interested person in the support role though, so that may not be as open as I think. :-) Still, application still applies. I love seeing well built character sheets, and have an awesome way to integrate the character. As for the Wildcard one, contact Eternal Blade.

Alucarddalv

I am looking forward to this either way whether I make the cut or not.  :-)
What is it to a man if he gains the world but loses his soul.

Twilight doesn't exist nor should it ever had existed. Those things are not vampires no matter how much she wants to say they are. They are fey simple as that.

Does not sparkle.....

I'll second that notion!  It's a pretty impressive endeavor you've set for yourself, BH, and I can't help but follow the story whether I'm a part of it or not.

Thanks, both of you. That means a lot. I have a lot of ambition for this project, but it wouldn't be possible to fulfill without Eternal Blade pitching in to help GM. I couldn't have done all four initial threads, or the coming ones of the other continents without him. Shandrath is just too massive for one person to cover. :-)

Tagan

Let me pitch in my two cents... I admire your work, as well as this project, enough to offer (once I know the system well enough) to pinch hit as GM for you if you need it.

Even if you don't get me a spot here... though that'd slow down my getting to know the system a bit I guess.  ;)

Crovonovin

I can certainly vouch for Tagan's ability to co-DM, having had the pleasure of writing under her in the past!

Once you know your way around 3.5e, Pathfinder really isn't very difficult to grasp.  The fact that the SRD is completely open was a huge help when I was first learning the system.  On that note, if you have any questions about the system jumbling around, I'd be as happy to help out as anyone else!

Even if you don't make it in here, the other two games while having been going for a bit need a player each. We can probably fit you into one of those if you made a character for the needed roles. :-) And thanks, once we got the sub-forum and I had enough information up for the setting that other people would have a good time running in it, I was gonna look for others to do such.

EDIT: Setting detail is taking much longer then I thought to write out. Should be up by tomorrow for interested parties. T_T I'm too slow at this sometimes. Hehe. ;D

Alucarddalv

Okay this is the second write up for my character with some changes mainly to his classes he is now a fighter sorcerer dragon disciple.

Valenar Bladestorm Finished so any questions please feel free to ask.

Youth (birth -75): Valenar spent his youth as the oldest son to a merchant family. His youth was filled with various activities and studies from learning to play the violin and studying, to archery and swordsmanship. His life continued to be relatively easy as his father was even teaching him how to handle money properly and prepare him to take over the family business. That all changed around his 75th birthday when there was supposedly a terrible accident involving a house fire. Val had been out at the time collecting a payment of money from a nearby town when he got the news. His whole family had been caught inside the house during the night in a terrible fire that killed them all.

Upon returning to his home he did some digging and found out that the fire had not been an accident but had been deliberately set by a rival merchant house. When he asked around to find out why no one was doing anything to this house he found out that they had all either been bribed or threatened. Over the next week he sifted through the wreckage and ashes of his life searching for anything he could find. One the last day of searching as he was about to give up he found a hole in the wall that had not been touched by fire. Upon close examination he found a cloth wrapped object inside, and slowly pulled it out. Carefully wrapped up and hidden away presumably by his father, a relic from his days as an adventurer, the young elf found a sword in ornate scabbard with his family crest on it.

He carefully wrapped the sword back up in the cloth and headed back to the inn he was staying at in town. Once he was sure he was secure in his own room he once again removed the cloth and looked upon his fathers sword. He carefully removed the adamantine bastard sword from it's sheath and looked at the inscription upon the adamantine blade, Vlos olplyn. It appeared to be elvish but almost as if in a sub dialect that he couldn't quite place. Deciding that could wait till later he placed the sword back into it's scabbard before placing it back in the cloth. The following morning he used the last of his money to buy up supplies and head out to grow stronger to one day avenge the dishonor that had been brought upon his family.

Young Adulthood(80-100): Valenar had spent the next 20 years wandering around doing odd jobs to try and make a living. He had done everything from guard duty to stable hand, and had even spent some time as a librarian. During the five years as a librarian he began to study and play with the arts of magic. He found that he took quite easy to some of the beginner cantrips , and it was during this time that he discovered what was written on his Father's blade. The inscription Vlos olplyn was drow and it's literal translation was blood thief, and this only raised the question of why his father had a sword of apparent drow make. The entire time the young elf was doing these odd jobs he never forgot to things. The first was a person is only as good as their word and we need to stick to not only our words but our moral codes. The second thing was that anyone that tried to betray you or double cross you was fair game.

By his centennial birthday  he had managed to come across a rather gift. I old lady who had been out in the woods collecting things to sell at the market had stumbled across a rather unusual and strange egg. Feeling a rather strange pull towards the egg he asked the old lady how much she wanted for the egg. The old lady not sure how much it was worth told him she want 10g for it. Feeling this wasn't quite right Valenar gave the lady 20 platinum pieces instead, because he knew it had to be worth more and didn't feel right cheating an old lady. Her eyes had about popped out of her head at the sight of that much platinum and he had a feeling her life had just improved.

The Egg: After he had gotten the egg he carefully place it into his pack and went to do some research. after countless nights of research he finally found out what the egg was, a Pseudodragon. After finishing up research into Pseudodragons he began gathering things to help raise the newborn creature. He hoped that be being present from it's birth the dragon would become his companion in his travels. He was unaware just how much of a trouble maker Sanguine was going to be. From the day the black Pseudodragon with red wing webbing was born the catlike behavior and mischievous little pranks never stopped, and the pranks haven't always been just on Val but also with anyone he has traveled with.

Adulthood (101-134): After his companion was born and able to travel The two joined up with a mercenary company. Val knew it was a quick way to make decent money and would help him grow stronger. Plus with the news of a war in a nearby land he would be able to travel. Sadly this experience would not only harden the young elf into a somewhat dark veteran but it would also cause his moral code to shift just a bit. Val wound up working his way up from just a lowly soldier through skill hard work and battlefield promotions until he was the one running the company. It had taken 20 years of fighting before the war was finally over, and Val was able to hand the reins over to the others and sink into a bottle. He had seen and done things he would rather forget during those twenty years, so he became a bit of a drunk and a ladies man. It wasn't until Sanguine finally managed to talk some sense into him that he snapped out of the haze and nightmare.

For the next 13 years he began to hire himself out as a sell sword to anyone that would pay his fee. He would take almost any job as long as they didn't break his contract. The first part was that he would not kill women with children nor would he kill innocents. If those he was working with tried he would stop them personally. The second part was if you refused to pay you would have to deal with him and he would offer to work for your enemies for free as long as he got the money you owed him in the end. Third he never changed side in the middle of contract, but once the contract was completed or broken that was another story. He tried not to work against former allies unless they turned out to be rather evil in which case he would sometimes offer to help for a reduced fee just to teach his former employers a lesson, remember what happened to his family.

Personality: Val tends to be a bit gruff from time to time reflecting his decades of service as a mercenary. He sometimes has bouts of dark times but Sanguine usually helps snap him out of it along with playing his violin. At first he can be cold to others he works with knowing that contracts come and go and people die, but once he sees peoples skill and travels with them for a bit he begins to open up and joke around having a good ole time. He has a code of honor which he tends to follow to a tee but there have been cases where he has had to bend for his own survival and those of others. In a fight he can be a force of awe with both his sword and the spells he weaves sometimes making it look more like a dance then a fight. At the end of the day when all are gathered around the camp for the night we will offer to be the first on watch. Sometimes Sanguine gets the better of him with his pranks and he can be seen chasing the little dragon all over is a rather playful manner as he would never hurt his faithful companion

Appearance: He is 6'2" tall with pale white skin that won't seem to tan no matter the time in the sun and red eyes that glow from time to time. He has a athletic build weighting in at about 130lbs of corded well packed muscle. He has medium length unruly black hair that seems to stick out in slightly random directions. He has a scar that runs across his left eye down his cheek which he got while protecting an employer from an assassination attempt. If he was to stand in front of you with nothing but a pair of shorts on you would see numerous scars on his legs and torso with a few on his arms. These scars have come from his decades of fighting in wars and as a mercenary. He also has a small dragon tattoo on his left upper arm done in red ink.

Attire:He wears a black sleeveless top under his twilight mithral breastplate with long black pants that he keeps tucked into his knee high boots. He wears a long black scarf-like cloak around his neck. He also wears a pair of gloves made of black leather that go half way up his bicep with hidden wrist sheaths. He keeps Vlos olphyn stuck through his belt on his left hip. He has a bandoleer full of various items and daggers strapped across his chest from his right shoulder to his left hip. He has a nice well weathered haversack that he carries on his back as well as a quiver full of arrows and a nice ebony composite longbow slung over his shoulder, along with a mithral shield emblazoned with the image of a red dragons face. Sanguine tends to perch on his shoulders as he travels taking to the air during combat.
What is it to a man if he gains the world but loses his soul.

Twilight doesn't exist nor should it ever had existed. Those things are not vampires no matter how much she wants to say they are. They are fey simple as that.

Character Might and Magic 2: Valenar

Eternal Blade

Ash: Specialist
Lithonian, or as he goes by in most lands, Ash, was raised in the exotic Elven forest in near to Galtean settlers' who had declared their independence just before Ash had been born. He grew up with his people in the throes of war, them getting ready for the coming of Galtea's legions, and the young lad had to learn how to fight fast. The first time Ash killed a man was at the tender age(for an elf)of twenty, and from their his skill only grew. By the time Amecca had fought off the hordes of the northern invaders with their Elven allies, Lithonian was already an accomplished skirmisher, and had even acted as a spy or scout at times.

From there he found the quiet life that his people went right back to, rather dull, and so he went out looking for adventure. Eventually his journeys brought him to Rosalia, where he found the pace of life to match that of his own still youthful spirit. He's still honing his skill at sword and bow, and the abilities of stealth and trickery, but he is a great aid to any group, and has traveled with two generations of human adventures thus far. His own elven mind moves slower than his companions, and thus he has had to part ways with allies that out paced him with their shorter lifespans, but he carries the memories of them with him, as well as those of the fallen.

{I'll send in my other two characters shortly.}

Eternal Blade

Terra: Mage
Terra was born to a couple commoners of Rosalia, her parents both clerks at the same store where they met one another. It was a quiet life, until a man came to the store, and seen something in Terra, and asked to take her away for training in the "Highest Arts". Her parents initially refused, the man however was from the mages Guild, a prominent and powerful entity, and told her parents of this. Her parents, while reluctant after that, were no longer in the mind to refuse. Her training under her new master was difficult to say the least, the first thing he had to do was train the young woman to read and write as she did not already possess the skill.

Upon her graduation from her master, he told her she needed to do more studies under him, to fine tune her art, and she told him what she thought about that. She knew the laws, and she wasn't about to let this man keep her from using the power that had not come as easily as she would have liked. She left using the same laws he had the day he took her from her family, and went out to fulfill her dreams. She has had more than her fair share of troubles in her time, including being the only one to get out of two tight spots, and the loss of allies has been disheartening. She remembers those who fought next to her, and for her, and always looks to the future as she slowly creeps up on the day that she surpasses her one time master.

Eternal Blade

Azura: Wild Card
Azura was born a slave to north east Galtea, her family had been slaves for generation in the cold harsh environment, being bred with other half elves to keep up the stocks of natural born slaves. She was one such, and highly prized for her beauty. The man who had bought her from the empire, was a terrible man, and the things he did to her she still refuses to speak of. However as she grew up more and more, she eventually began to display unusual power, and the man began to worry what would happen if the Galtean mages guild learned that she was developing sorcery.

The nobleman covered it up at the time, and kept her hidden away whenever there was a social gathering. That only allowed Azura to develop her abilities further, and eventually she managed to kill the noble with a spell. That had not turned out well for her, and she was sentenced to death. Death was not to come to her however, as a man in the crow threw a dagger at the noose that was around her neck just as it snapped tight. She fled, silently thanking whoever he was for his kindness, and she vowed to always try to show such kindness and courage from that day onward. She soon found herself in Rosalia, where she found a people that didn't care about the tattoo on her lower back that marked her as a slave of Galtea.

{unless you have some REAL AWESOME, I'm only playing one of these three characters!}

So... well, I'm only submitting one character right now.  Would you mind looking it over, Black Howling?

Lady Lunarius

#62

Found as a child by a cleric of Desna, Naomi grew up learning the art of healing and aiding those in need. She and her mentor traveled everywhere and often, seeking the freedom of the roads rather than the cages of the cities. They helped anyone any way they could, healing the sick, and giving aid to parties. It wasn't long before a young Naomi grew to wanting her own adventures, her own stories to tell.

Her mentor who'd been like a mother to her for so long knew that it was time for Naomi to go her own path. And so, leaving her with a parting gift, she took off in the night, only a letter and the starknife the woman had long treasured. Despite the knowledge that it would be hard, and that her troubles could be many Naomi trusted the goddess to take her where she'd need to be, to those who would aid her.

For a few years she traveled as she had with her mentor, visiting villages far as the eye could see, until she met with some adventurers, and then she learned what being a part of the team could do. How aiding those, and having them watch your back as well, could truly be freeing in and of itself and so she stuck with them until they went their ways. Even then she did not stop, having had a taste of truer adventuring she sought out yet another group, and another.
((Not filling in the first days spells just yet as you know Howling, but I can if you feel it'd make it more "complete"))

Because of the need for a rogue to understand how things work rather than the old hand to hand coordination I guess.

That is how it was on 3.5, but on Pathfinder it goes off of dexterity; and has since the release of the book. I would know, as I usually only get to play rogues. >_> So while I enjoy player input, I would think you should look at the skill as listed next time.

Good character sheet for the most part. My only issues are these:
She has no traveling gear:
The Emphasis on int lowers her wisdom based skills, which seem like they have more focus then her int based ones. Explain please?
What blade said about your listed change to the disable device skill. That had to be hand done, as I know from experience that plothooks has it listed correctly.
HP's not listed, and final attack notes aren't either. Would like to see those, though I know I'm gonna have to say this one to a few people. *eyes the rest of you that don't have it listed*

Please address those. I have some concerns over the Damphir's negative to positive energy transfer, but noted it already when I listed them down as a playable race.
