I'll try to make this relatively short and to the point, since this is an interest seeking thread at the end of the day. A friend (Aylinas) and I have been dealing with a problem. Both of us are utterly enthralled by the idea of a tabletop RPG experience that intrinsically works smut into the works. It seems like the classic thing to do - why not introduce that element of random chance and game mechanics that can create situations which rob you of your agency because you made a few bad decisions and now you've lost? Why not be unable to draw yourself away from the villain because your mind has been seduced by his magics? It is squirm-inducing fun! Who knew bad ends could be so joyous?

The problem? Both of us want this, both of us are submissive leaning, and that creates a problem. So here I am, putting this up in the hope that there might be a GM that would be enticed by the possibility of having a few submissive players at their mercy. I would hardly complain about adding a few more players if there was interest - so ultimately this is for interest first. In any case - here are a few thoughts of mine about some possible systems (focusing on OGL due to access) and what I think they potentially offer. I'd be happy to babble more about other details later!

Pathfinder: Truly the classic TTRPG these days, the accessibility and vast amount of possible characters to create are definitely a huge plus. Combine that with the fact that it feels like quite a few Adventure Paths would be easy to twist around enough to increase the focus on smut and you really have something to go for.  In the past I have considered a potential twist on Kingmaker where the players were controlled by cursed collars to do the bidding of setting up a kingdom for an evil Master and used in the meanwhile, but honestly there is just so much room in Golarion for some naughtiness. I mean, you even have multiple locations in Golarion that have harems and slaves! Of course, a homebrew setting designed to play to the doom of submissive players would be enjoyable too. Really, I think this is just sort of the classic people are familiar with.

Starfinder: It's really Pathfinder 2.0 in rules. I'm sure some players will find a way to fix some high level math problems, but ultimately there is a lot of good in the system. I will admit to a passing attraction to somebody's idea of running Kingmaker in Space, but let's be honest about my real draw to Starfinder. Skintight pilot suits. You will not convince me to not have one in any circumstance if they exist. SRD for this will probably be a month out though and it doesn't have as much existing material to suborn. Still, sci-fi smut? Who doesn't like losing to space pirates?

Fate: I've never been able to work Fate quite as well as I liked as a GM myself, but I'll admit. If ever there was a system that would be perfect for a smut themed game, this would be the one I would think of. Troubles/Aspects could be fluffed around kinks, making it easy to Compel in naughtiness to whatever setting you want. You could potentially even have something like a Lust Stress track, where players would have to resist being driven to their breaking point where they might give in. Somebody could try to spank a player to set up an aspect like "Shivering With Lust." What is not to like about that? Nothing, that's what! Unless you don't like Fate, I suppose.

5e: Let's be honest. I like me some 5e too, even if I think the economy is a little borked. But if I'm not running it, what do I care that the economy is bad! I also really admire the lack of prescriptive rules and the removal of a lot of the bloat.

So that's my brief little bit about what sort of systems I think are nice. My On/Offs page has more information about kinks, but Aylinas and I both share a particular love of bondage and pillories in particular. I quite enjoy a nice bit of costuming myself. But I think if any dominant writer wanted to create a game catered to the degradation of the players? ...mmf. We're in.

Aylinas

As Anne's tag-along I suppose I should say something...

Hi!   I know running a game is a bigger undertaking than even the prospect of two female adventurers can motivate.  Likewise, adventure plots are hard to come up with, let along ones that somehow keep going after the defeat of a protagonist.  Point is, we realize it's a big ask and I hope we can help massage the plot along or suggest things.  Though really, if we have some mutual interests in good smut hopefully things will work out.

evilnerf

I might be interested in possibly running a game but I'd like more detail first.  Is Dom/Sub required?  What genders do each of you want to play?

AnneReinard

Guilty popping back up with this after a game we felt met our requirements went to crud.

I'm really bad about paying attention to things sometimes...

So! Extra tidbits time!

  • We figured we would voice this to dominant minded DMs because everything is more fun when you're doing things you enjoy and we figured that the dom-leaning types would be more inclined to have two sub-leaning types to do horrible things too!
  • Probably strongly leaning toward female characters.
  • I would hardly object to a few more people - I really just love the concept of a game where the players are victims to a degree, be it of circumstance or losing the fight.
  • Anne adores sluttifying curses. True fact: I was actually just daydreaming and wiggling about the potential for one in a totally non-smut game lately!
  • Aylinas adores nonconsent with big, hulking monsters that aren't going to give her any chance to resist.
  • We both adore games where there is a reasonable expectation of success... but where things could rapidly go downhill very quickly. After all, why use a system if you're just going to railroad?

Since the Starfinder SRD is out, put me down for skintight pilot suits as either a player or DM, circumstances depending.

I mean, really, who doesn't like skintight pilot suits? They're pretty fantastic!

AnneReinard

We ultimately did look over that (and another similar themed game!) very recently. After some brief discussion, we ended up deciding that the transformative elements of Corruption of Champions were not really to our liking. I favor more being twisted mentally and Aylinas has a tendency to liking to be forced into things. So we decided to take a pass upon such games, unfortunately.

ShinigamiWolf

I've been curious of Starfinder...if you'll have a non sub leaning player involved, then I wouldn't mind dipping my toes into it for some fun. AutoCad has some pretty good writing style from what I've read thus far so I think he'd make a great DM. Though, I'm not against Pathfinder either.

AnneReinard

I would never argue against Starfinder!

...well, maybe against high level play with questionable balance... but that's not the point! I do suspect it would be a little hard to run at the moment without a good bestiary to draw from, but if somebody wants to deal with that particular downside...

Ultimately though - we need a GM, and Aylinas and I want something where bad things can happen to us. What sort of themes are emphasized ultimately depends on the GM, and the two of us will discuss if that is something that makes us squirm or go 'eh'.

If you are looking for elements to toy with your character mentally.... I believe Strange Aeons is an Adventure Path in has a lot of Lovecraftian themes to it so it has a system with which to toy off of as far as mental manipulation.

If you're looking for something that can toy with slavery, exploitation, and other aspects...I assume that Rise of the Drow would be a good campaign path to use to alter for some sexual themes (The drow are a bit smexy and saucy if you get my meaning in the first place so it should be easy to weave in).

Both of those of course would be Pathfinder. There should also be the Mindflayers (copywrited name, I forget what Pathfinder calls em) in there for pure mental manipulation and some tentacle theme.

SINless

So, I might be interested to run this. Depending on whether I have got it correct.

You want basically a normal game, with all submissive PC's
If things go right for you, things keep going as normal, but if things go wrong, the monsters will take advantage of that to have their way with you.
You want there to be curses turning people into sluts, and big, big monsters.

I can deliver that if you wish. There's several games that come to mind, but one that seems easiest to do is pathfinder. Do you like desert islands, deep dark forboding jungle and ancient curses from dead civilisations?

AnneReinard

Shinigami, I will admit to knowing all too much about Strange Aeons, being a Lovecraft nerd myself. ...if the picture didn't give it away. That being said - that's definitely a nail on the head. I adore the mental side of play... almost as much as Aylinas loves rough physicality!

SINless, that is definitely the sort of general idea that I am looking toward. I like the odds not being in your favor, but knowing that there should be a way that leads to success which does not necessarily devolve into smut. Smut themes can permeate, but I'm not quite one for the full out smut setting of smuttiness... usually.

Hrm. If I were to discuss things in Pathfinder, I must admit that I have not done much with exploring desert islands filled with foreboding jungles and long-dead civilizations with a tendency for horrible curses. That being said, I would certainly not be opposed to that sort of thing! I will admit to a fondness toward seeing corrupt elements of civilization as well. ...but that might just be my desire for costumes to show up talking.

Are you wishing that every character be somewhat submissive or your two characters being submissive? I'll admit, being a sub can be difficult to play out for me in a game system. Personally I just build a person and play it out without any real leaning one way or the other.

I wouldn't be opposed to playing a Monster Race character to be honest. ~stares at the idea of a Lizardman/Dragonborn cannibal~

Re Z L

I'd be interested in tagging along as another player (preference towards Starfinder/Pathfinder).  I can do whatever, if you'd like more sub sorts, or a dommy sort of PC.
A&A

AnneReinard

I would hardly have anything against more people tagging along. That being said, I probably am interested in a game with more submissive leaning players, so that the themes (in over their head, being taken advantage of) are easier to handle on the DM side.

I am open for any pitches! You're both super nice for offering (Autocad and SINless) and I'd love to see what kind of ideas are bubbling in your deviant heads!

Bump since we are still searching and I have just finished another stressful bit of travel! Whoo travel!

As a bonus, here is my hypothetical lust disease using the 5e Disease rules as a starting point. I like homebrewing stuff in 5e. It feels so much easier than in other D&D systems.

QuoteLord of Lust's Touch
This illness comes from prolonged contact with artifacts created by a demonic lord associated with lust and revelry. While in the grips of this illness, victims are slowly twisted to his preferred tastes - empty-headed, lustful and submissive playthings. Symptoms manifest 1d4 days after infection and include horniness and disorientation. The infected creature gains one level of Exhaustion that cannot be removed until the disease is cured.

Any event that forces the infected creature to asert themselves - including entering Combat, refusing an order, or commanding followers - forces the creature to make a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature becomes Incapacitated with indecision for 10 minutes. The creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turn, ending the Incapacitated condition on a success. While Incapacitated in this way, they must go along with any orders that are given directly to them.

At the end of each Long Rest, the infected creature can make a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw. On a successful save, the DC for this save and the save to avoid an attack of indecision drops by 1d6. When the saving throw DC drops to 0, the creature recovers from the infection. A creature that fails three of these saving throws increases the DC by 5 and gains the Indefinite Madness of "I know it is my place to serve my betters."

Personally, I am pretty agnostic when it comes to setting. I find things to like in most of the published settings. Really, what I am looking for is a systems driven game that focuses on the themes that make Aylinas and I squirm. I find that most of the games on the board tend to be focused more on the inter-party relationship than external forces... but to me, the ability to lose at the roll of the dice to external forces is exciting!

At the moment, I will admit to a 5e bias - I am thinking of running a non-lewd game in the setting and seeing more people DMing it is always good for brainfuel.

Hi AnneReinhard--

Though 5e seems pretty cool, I have no real experience with it, and all the resources for Pathfinder are just so dang accessible, it's hard to say 'no' to it.

If you do go ahead with your 5e game, would you still want to play a Pathfinder game if I ran it?  If so, and you offer input on the following, we may be able to work something out.  I have some more rigid preferences, whereas other thing are more flexible.

  • The setting would be Golarion-based, since pretty much everything already exists.  Some history and geography can be adjusted for the sake of story.
  • Primarily core and featured classes and races are preferable.
  • All characters would be young, just reaching their prime and adulthood, and from the same general region, chosen as representatives of their people for some unique potential they possess that makes them "adventurer worthy" to be trained in a guild that has not had a recruiting class since "The Event" greatly reduced the population of young people and adventurers alike (still teetering, but leaning toward undead war and curse).
  • They must be able to cooperate... while scheming, arguing, competing and the like are fine, I prefer not to have PC vs. PC squabbling that leads to bad blood among players.  Anything like that must be arranged though me by both sides.
  • The Academy, we can call it for now, will require them to participate in missions around the region, but the instructors have a very specific reason that they cannot intervene directly.  These missions may be deadly, and that is something each character has no choice but to accept.  ... that, and that the instructors are not pure.  They are not chaste, and in some cases they are not welcomed in polite society.  The reasons for this will be understood slowly in game, and the characters will be, in a sense, exploited as they seek achievement and, eventually, perhaps freedom.

My thematic preferences are: heavy mood, action scattered throughout and very intense (occasionally with graphic descriptions of combat, monsters, etc.),  erotic themes frequently as a story element but not as the core of the story, elements of domination, corporal punishment with erotic flavors at times, and overbearing authority, smatterings of horror, lack of outright rape, tentacles, and other anime-centric elements and imagery... and that's about it.  Oh, and smaller groups that post more than two times per week per player.

Is this something you would be interested in?  What players, specifically would want to join in this... again, with deference to AnneReinhardt since this was your request thread?

Curiously, I've noticed it's quite hard to keep a system game going with slow, methodical posts. Wouldn't using an outlet like roll20 or similar allow for quicker and more steady gameplay? I imagine making a post, then a 'persuasion' roll, for example, would lock you up in waiting specifically for the DM to log in for that day/week and reply.

AnneReinard

PBP games can actually go pretty quick back and forth! Though it ultimately does move slower, certainly. That being said, not having to deal with people's schedule is a huuuuge plus.

@Ixy: So... I talked to Allie about the subject matter that is proposed. I will admit, I too find a certain attraction to the ease of accessibility of Pathfinder compared to 5e. And I must admit to a certain fondness for academies/school/etc settings. I blame a combination of Final Fantasy Tactics and coming-to-age story novels/anime/etc.

That being said, I will admit that both Allie and I lean heavily toward enjoyment of noncon, which it seems like your concept is to push against? I must admit to a worry that it extends to dubcon (coercion and blackmail) as well. That being said, I enjoy things other than noncon as well... I just sort of like that potential option of failure to be there...

My best explanation would be that I like a world where there are the lewd realities you might expect (albeit with a certain glossing over of details that are unpleasant), but doesn't quite cross the line where everything is like a bad porno. So maybe the cruel bandits decide that the party members would work well in a pillory until sold off as sex slaves. But not like...  a castle full of tentacled sex demons for the sake of tentacled sex demons.

My brain works weird.

Also, smaller groups with more than two posts per week? Sounds great! Huge groups are hard to manage.

Aylinas

What's wrong with a castle full of tentacle demons?   You could name it The Castle of Tentacle Demons and boom, story justification, right?

But yeah, hi.   @Ixy   I enjoy pathfinder quite a bit myself, despite the rules bloat.  As for the idea, sounds like story's at least pretty important, unless I'm misreading it.  While it goes against the lazy part of my brain that just wants pillories and minotaurs immediately, a good story is always engaging.

Ixy

Moreso than my o/os would suggest, I'm willing to have more forceful non-con in the event that it' not overly drawn-out or pointless.  I mean, I did enjoy Justine, Eugenie de Franval, etc.  It's just not my shtick when it comes to being a player, and it has to -really- fit the story for me.

Now, I should clarify that this training center is not quite Final Fantasy levels... while there would be uniforms, there wouldn't be elaborate events... it's more like a summer camp from hell, pulling itself up from the ground after devastation.  Is that still copacetic?

DeviantMunster-- from what I know of that site, I -think- so?  But I think that keeping rolls to the dicebot and trusting that we use group initiative should suffice... especially with a small group and a little flexibility on the rules-lawyering, if there's enough trust all around (so spare the initiative feats unless you really just want the DM to know that you go first before the rest of the crew).  My goal is never to out-mechanic the party, but rather to use the mechanics to enhance the action.

So far, I see this as three possible maybes?

If you're in, what kind of characters would you want to play?

Or a certain temple of tentacles...  8-)

Anyways, if this is to be a thing I would like to get in on the action as well. My dream character would be an upright paladin who risks being exposed to the temptation of carnal pleasure and falling to palaslut.

DeviantMunster

With 5E, that's an utterly simple question. With Pathfinder...

Dear gods!

I'd have to look over it again. Maybe a mage of some kind?

AnneReinard

God... decisions to be made! What would I want to play? I obviously feel too guilty to reuse certain archer Magus with the unfortunate being left without a bow for an extended period of time. ...I'm too much of a roleplay nerd to want to do the same thing twice! Hrm. Well, I hate starting from mechanics, so I'll let an idea roll around my head given the nature of a "pulling itself out of the ashes" style of training camp.

So I'll make a couple of assumptions based on what have you mentioned on setting: 1) Civilization took a big hit, which probably touched people in a very personal way; 2) Civilization probably has some sort of central place they fell back upon to survive long enough for the training camp from hell to be a possibility. Assuming those two are true, I posit the following:

Consider the avenging warrior. If our theoretical cataclysmic event has enough reach, I see the idea of having lost everything - family, estates, and the like. Forced to take to the street and struggle to survive in a way that would have been unthinkable in the past, she grasped at the possibility that would let her carve out a new life for herself - as well as take revenge upon the forces that cast her down. Now, I will admit - mechanically, this doesn't exactly narrow things down more. I do think that this concept definitely fits destructive more than constructive. It also favors intuitive and gained abilities, rather than abilities requiring long amounts of learning. As a first mechanical pass, I'd probably look at the following:

  • Fighter/Barbarian/Brawler/Monk: Focusing on these lines would involve more physical strength and brute force in search of revenge. Honestly not my usual path (...I may enjoy being petite and helpless whenbound), but it could be interesting.
  • Ranger/Slayer/Rogue/Investigator: A bit less focus on raw physical strength, but still going the path of cutting down the enemy with physical force, which is always available!
  • Witch: The only caster that immediately jumps out at me for perhaps fitting, since you could certainly think of this as a Faustian pact for power.
By Golarion lore would imply this is the only class that would function along those lines to my knowledge.

Gosh, choosing things for Pathfinder is tough.

Hmm.  Pulling back from the brink?   It could be neat.   Makes me think of having perhaps a roguish type.  Maybe they had a hand in it or did something terrible pre-fall.   Carry around a lot of guilt and be convinced they deserve what they get-...  maybe that's too psychological.  I'm not sure.

Ixy

Well, to give a few ideas for the game, I'd like to introduce what I'm thinking for the recent history, the "keep", and the "instructors"... I've written up three each with their own specialties, histories, quirks, and... well, let's call it a 'downfall'... a reason that they are here and not elsewhere.  Without, I hope, giving too much away:

TAKLOSI DELOTH
Race: Tiefling
Sex: Female.
Class (Suspected): Fighter/Paladin
Her devotion to Gorum is apparent in this Tiefling's devotion to her armor, her martial discipline, her pride. and she is never, EVER hesitant to impart some aspect of that sense of battle.  She was legendary, leading batallions, surviving the impossible, slaying monsters from nightmare... but the tales of her heroism are scattered like seeds in the countryside, as are tales of horrors, war crimes, and slaughter without discretion.
The ends always justify the means.  She is perpetually angry, terrifyingly so, and seems to relish the glory of it as much as the sheer agony of exertion.

KAZ'ZIK KUN:
Race: Drow Elf
Sex: Male
Class (Suspected): Rogue/Bard
Folk tales are still spoken of this one, rumoring that he still hordes a massive collection of wondrous items.  Some say he ran a city from the shadows, courted a dragon, and caused the downfall of the greatest city man has ever seen-- all long before any living human was born.  As ageless as he appears, he is surprisingly vain and agonizingly sarcastic, despite his occasional willingness to impart his expertise in manipulation, stealth, archery, close combat, and perhaps more... for a price.

VARIUS MORALOTH:
Race: Ostensibly human
Sex: Male
Class (Suspected): Sorcerer/Alchemist/Gods Save Us
There is no limit to what this man can build... yes, a man, whose simple emerged one day, perhaps from another plane, perhaps another time.  Wondrous machines, all manner of magics, mutagens, extraordinary crafted items-- his eyes see the workings from all, and his hands create what no other can fathom like a child shaping sand.  But the man-- he cares for nothing.  He is like a machine himself, unfeeling, uncaring, knowing all and caring for none of it.  His aid in The Undead War was unreliable, and he has since become aloof to the most extreme-- as if he hears and sees only what he wishes, and he cares for nothing.

HISTORY:
The great city of Fallows Harbor was once a glorious port on the Maiestas River.  Thriving on rich soil and indentured servitude, this city supplied the hemisphere with fine goods and was rewarded with heavy profits, became a catalyst of art, architecture, and culture-- as well as crime, hedonism, and experimental religion-- before the Undead War.  Heralded by wars, and followed by plagues, pestilence, famines, economic collapse, and volcanic unrest that caused a two-year winter, the great nations were estimated to have fallen to 4 of 10 of their original populations within two generations.  Then, those that died began to rise... and there were many.

Perhaps spurring the great deaths, or perhaps because of it, the Undead Lords rose in the west, east and south, and began their campaigns of the eradication and enslavement of all life on Golarion.  The gods themselves fought to preserve their creation, and the gods began to suffer casualties in their infighting and their interference.  All told, the war lasted over almost fifty years, and the undead lords ceased their campaign... were they destroyed, trapped, or persuaded to postpone the apocalypse...? No news has traveled in the old ways, though trade ships have, again, begun to sail and explore-- sometimes bringing goods, sometimes plunderers, but these are dark times.

You were raised in the remnants of this city--  you have seen the undead, wild monsters, untended traps, ruins, and you all know someone who has died at their hands.  Ruins dominate the once-proud landscape, and what little life there is huddles from the shadows in the harbor district, or in defensible plantation-clusters where defense and, to some degree, community is shared.  The market square bustles with life some times, when the sun mercifully shines-- or rather blisters the inhabitants of the city with blazing swamp-fed heat, mosquitoes, and persistent flocks of scavenger birds.

RAVENHURST ESTATE:
Couriers found you, and you received something unfamiliar... a letter.  Education still exists in this world, but with your life of toil, there is little time to study formalities such as this, and seeing your name in a stranger's formal hand is an odd thing indeed.  The contents are clear enough; you are summoned to the Ravenhurst Estate in the Garden District for training.  For this, your family is offered compensation for the time you will be away... ten gold coins per calendar month (a truly astounding sum!) for the honor of your service to the city's reforming Adventurer's Guild.  It outlines that you have been selected for the promise you show, and that you will join other recruits from the city to train, learn, and conduct vital missions to reestablish the city's trove of wealth and power.

Others, before you, have received this invitation.  None have returned, but the coin is still delivered.  Letters like it come, but from the recruits themselves... assuring families that all is well, that they are learning much, that they cannot discuss details but are doing their best to help the city rebuild.  Could this be your chance... the chance to leave the broken streets, your leaky roof, your home that rattles with the wind..? The job at the fish market, or hacking at fields, or slavery if that was your lot in life?  Is this your chance at greatness?

There is a time, a gathering place.  You feel a tug at your heart, knowing that you have little choice.  Those you love will be better provided-for than ever you could manage else, and who knows... maybe this is your destiny..?

GUIDELINES:
Characters would start at level 1 with a 20 point (high fantasy) ability buy, with no stat over 18 or under 8 (this includes after racial mods).  They may start with a simple weapon less than 20gp in value, either padded or hide armor, 1 change of clothes up to 10 gp of value, and one special item of personal significance.  This item should be something unusable in combat or for spell-boosting, etc... something like a clock, a piece of jewelry, a painting, a book, a journal and inkwell, etc.  2 traits are ok within reason.

...Ixy, you made a throwaway comment that tempts me along a path I always find tempting. I am now considering the path of some sort of character in a form of enslavement - be it house maid, pleasure slave, or the like given the nature of the setting - and having some sort of innate power that could catch the eye of recruiters. The chance to make a new life for herself could make an excellent reason to head off for training despite the risks... while her background would make it all the easier to coerce or push her around to a degree until she learns exactly how much her position in the world has changed.

Mechanical possibilities for something that is intuitive + flashy:
Oracle: Divine power that they have no choice over? That seems like something that could make enough of a splash to draw attention.
Sorcerer: Definitely something that could have a big splash. That being said, I've done Sorcerer in other games twice now, though I can almost certainly find a new way to go about it.
Others: Still considering these other routes since I am less familiar, but Shaman, Medium, and Bloodrager all have somewhat intuitive feeling bits to them. I am also quite open to suggestions.

Of course, the other idea of vengeance might be nicer too. But... god, I'm always tempted by this possibility and never get a good chance to see it through!

I'd like to submit a half-elf rogue: Cris. Cris's father (a human) didn't care for the idea of razing a bastard child, and would have preferred Cris died with their elven mother, but fates can be sadistic sometimes, and so he was stuck with the half-breed. When Cris's talent as a cut purse and cat burglar started to emerge, it did little to their father's effection, but did ensure that if they failed to steal enough for him, they would capture his ire, or rather more of it. Eventually the father was found in possession of stolen goods, and sentenced to gang. Cris would have joined him, had they not been spied by a recruiter for the academy. The abuse Cris suffered at their father's hands has left its mark on them, and now they desperately seek the approval of a male instructor at the academy (preferably Kaz'zik Kun, good luck with that).

Would Cris fit in the game?

Ixy

Hi LF-- this sounds like a workable idea, sure... At some point I'll need to know what kind of handling you'd enjoy seeing for the character, if chosen. So I guess my suggestion is: be thinking it over and make a level one sheet to get started. :D

What are you looking for in an application that we should include?

Ixy

For now, concept, description, brief history, and what you're looking for in the RP content-wise and such would be fine for an application; if you're ready for mechanics, fire away.

Here's my character, Cris: https://www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=1376293

Concept: Fairly vanilla half-elven rogue adventurer, she finds traps, picks locks, finds treasure, stabs monsters in the back, and scurries away to hide behind an ally if she gets too injured.

Description: Short cropped, ashblond hair and seagreen eyes in a bony face, Cris is somewhat pretty, though far from stunning and rather plain for even just a half-elf. Her posture is often hunched and defensive, making her seem shorter than she is. When not balled up, her long and slender fingers are revealed.

Having picked up on her father’s not so subtle hints that he would have preferred his half-breed bastard be a son, Cris tends to pull her baggy peasant garbs in just the right way so as to hide as much of her body, and femininity as possible, and beneath her coarse shirt her breasts are bound tightly every morning. As such, it can be a bit hard to place her gender at first glance.

Cris will start play a shortsword, padded armour, a peasant’s outfit, a burglar’s outfit, and a half used snuff box. She took it from her house after being recruited, and relaxing with it by the fire was the only time her father’s attitude towards her ever approach nice.

Brief History: Cris’s father couldn’t believe how lucky he was, getting to tumble in the hay with a pure blooded elfen maiden. He was the envy of the village, and traded his story of the pale haired beauty’s body and tight snatch many a time after the band of elves left the village. Of course when the blonde slut showed up eight month later with a fat belly he was distinctly less pleased, and the bitch ended up dead shortly after. No one knew why. Perhaps human food disagreed with her, or her people had her marked for dirtying their blood.

Left with a child he didn’t want in a village not racist enough for him to dispose of it, he decided to make the best of a bad situation. Surprisingly well read, he spoke a bit of elven, and named the child Cris, who made good on his perceived promise to be a vex at every turn. She had cost him good money to raise, would cost more to marry off, and was too weak to work in the field for more than an hour or too. She slept out of his sight and ate what she was worth: leftovers not suitable for the dog.

It wasn’t until he caught her eating a piece of fruit that he found a use for her. She was hungry, she’d stolen some fruit, not surprise there. But she had a large ursh pear, and there was only one tree which grew such fruit, and it was deep in the headman’s orchard. Cris had managed to scale the wall, avoid the workers and anyone looking out from the house, pick a pear and return without being caught.

Her father now had her steal some more valuable things, and was always happy when she returned with some silver or gold. Cris, mistaking this happiness for the affection she had always wanted from him, happily obliged. Alas a greedy man and an eager teen are found to slip up sooner or later, and for them it was sooner. Someone noticed how well the father was living, how it coincided with the robberies, and a quick search of his place revealed enough for him to hang. He wasted no time flipping on her, but it did nothing to reduce his guilt, and so Cris would have joined him dangling from the noose (he was to be hung first, a last act of mercy that a parent should not outlife their child, though here is was likely wasted), had someone from the crowd not spoken up.

What I am looking for in this game:
A chance to explore RPing a damaged, vulnerable character and how they fare in the school environment with fellow students and instructors, and the potential smut this entails. I also like the idea of a story being able to supply diverse missions, with varied enemies and environments, and an external marking system (I assume their performance is assessed), whether directly stated or merely implied.

Cris current goals are (in order of importance):
Be the best student she can possibly be at the academy and befriend one of the male instructors to win their approval (and get a surrogate father figure)

Hrm... Ixy, I know you have mentioned setting this in Golarion and while this is not the standard setting, is there a region in particular that you have had in mind? I sort of want to know what sort of cultures to pull from and how widespread this event was.

I tried but am having a hard time deciding.  I think Cheliax, but I need a bigger, richer city, like ancient Rome meets mid-19th century New Orleans.

Hrm. You could try pushing the timeline forward enough that Cheliax has been around long enough to have grown and become bloated and ancient like Rome. Alternatively, I can't help but wonder if there is a Golarion city that is built on the ruins of one of the Thassilonian cities. One doesn't spring to mind off the top of my head though. Absalom is the biggest city, but it kind of lacks a lot of central identity, in a way.

Let's say Cheliax but the timeline is pushed forward enough for riches and decadence and downfall.  But will the collapse of society, how will you know just how far forward...? Mwah hah hah.. hm. Or we can just say it's modded ;)

It was a multi-continental, epic catastrophe..  but because of plague, famine, war, and economic collapse there was already a social breakdown, so news was far from reliable.

Your character could plausibly have traveled to this region because of its one-time prominence and opportunity, but was certainly disappointed by what they found... But perhaps they got stranded, or worse.

Oxenbridge Hewitt
Character Sheet

Concept:  Elven monk with abandonment issues.

Description:  Tawny golden tendrils frame a handsome chiseled face.  Large emerald eyes, sparkling with melancholy, stare absently into the void of space.  A subtle boxer's nose, a vaguely puffed lip, and a discolored circle around one eye give his otherwise feminine features a shot of resiliency.  He is dressed in a well-worn traveler's outfit, with a large poncho hiding his lithe frame.  A backpack hangs over one shoulder.

This is Oxenbridge Hewitt, the forgotten elf, whose parents marched to combat the unknown when he was a babe, and never came back.

He has the unsettling aura of a man who has seen too much darkness throughout his life, and done many things of which he is not proud.

Brief History:  [Still Wip]

Upbringing -- left behind by real parents -- adopted by a human family (four generations) -- issues with humans rearing elven children;

Problems with the law; vagrancy; drug abuse...

Pit fighting; girlfriend's overdose; conflict with a local criminal;

Attempting to turn it around;

Player Expectations:

I really want to play in a sort of post-apocalyptic pathfinder game.  I like playing games where the setting is ultimately the arch-nemesis of the party.  I am really into the sexual elements that the GM mentioned previously, and I also know that I really like it when Ixy GMs.

Character Goals:

Ox wants to overcome his issues with substance addiction, notably to a hallucinogen named "black tar."  In relation to this, Ox wants to get revenge on the drug dealer, Lagon, for selling him poison-laced drugs that led to his girlfriend's fatal overdose.

Ox perceives himself to be lower than dirt, and longs to elevate his status in the world.  Like most adventurers, he desires fame and fortune.

Ox does not fit in in human society, and longs to find a place where there are more people like himself.
Always seeking 5E games.

Aylinas

So Anne and I were mulling things over.  Because Anne has a thing about dressing up as a harem girl slut, they suggested we play as twin harem girls.

I took it a step further and suggested that we do that but play slightly more antagonistic towards each other.  While Anne's character was content serving, I would be... less so.  To the point where I snuck a knife into the harem and murdered the guy.  Since I'll be rogue-y, it may make sense that he sent me to seduce/kill/rob from people he didn't like on multiple occasions to actually have more skills than pouring wine and peeling grapes.

Of course, that leaves me to escape execution somewhere and Anne's character being skilled enough to have class levels but lacking a job now.

AnneReinard

Echoing that, I was thinking that it might work well for Aylinas to have it be the case that it was some sort of sentencing from being caught - perhaps instead of being executed, she is forced to do service as an adventurer. On the part of Anne, I think it could either be caught up in that (despite not actually being involved) or having a skillset of her own (perhaps it was a harem with class levels to do his bidding?) and having sought the opportunity independently.

Ixy

This is coming together nicely.

I have some basic setting info for those to whom such thing are essential.

Continent: Avistan
Nation: former Cheliax
City: Golgotha
Government: Imperial territorial, Mayoral feudal
Ruler: presumed to be Lord Asmodeus Himself.  Some think it's a man, or woman, claiming to have channeled the infernal lord.  Others are devoutly certain.
Law: ... loosely enforced.  The "Empire" has outreached its ability to enforce much.
Alignment: NE

Brief history: Golgotha was a bastion of strength and commerce, thriving on plantations, craftsmanship, and trade under the ironclad control of the Chelaxian throne until the wars severed some of the crucial ties to the throne.  It remained loyal... mostly... throughout the Troubles, but the War of Damnation was a breaking point.  They held out surprisingly well, despite the corruptible, massive number of rebellious slaves that turned to demonic pacts and necromantic alliances in an attempt to overthrow the crown, finding betrayal and pottage their reward as they became cannon-fodder in the ensuing decades of cataclysmic battles that turned the city from totalitarian paradise to dystopian hellscape.  The scales tipped after a cataclysmic battle in which-- if the legends can be believed-- a Mythical Red Dragon known only as Blind Hate appeared and laid waste to the city for a series of days and nights known as the Week of Sorrow and Fire.  The city, left in ruins, fell easily to the dead, and those left fought a guerrilla campaign until the war gradually died out.  There were few heroes, and those are dead... three exceptions remain, and they never leave the Manor.  Descendants purportedly run the city, but their muddied blood is often cited and never proven.

Key districts:
·         White Plains (former commons) - hard to build on thick marble, so it became a place for temporary structures that don't get permanent foundations.  Merchants, trade, soldiers found here sometimes.
·         Spinning Devil - tenements started in the remnants of the Lord's district, built into the gutted buildings and yards.  Called the spinning devil because it formed in clusters and sprawled.
·         Brambles (Garden District) - primarily ruins, was hit particularly hard, as if targeted in particular.  Few real structures remain, many sprawling gardens-turned-wild and minor structures contained therein.
·         Sorrowforge - Hardened old shipyard.  Connected to commons by half-flooded tunnel, where boats transfer cargo.  They rule the harbor and ship in slaves, basically tolerated pirates.  Ruthless, selfish, and wealthy.
·         The Flock - Countryside where old middle/lower class lived, all was burned.  Not uncommon to find relics in soil, more profitable than food but can't eat it.  Lots of bones too.
·         Devil's Bastion - Apparently the mayor lives here.  I certainly didn't vote for him.  There are soldiers there, and sometimes someone comes out and says something will be or won't be done.  Typical.
·         Black Boneyard - Hunks of fused metal and stone litter the remnants of the scorched citadels of the wealthiest district of Old Golgotha, with entire neighborhoods ready to collapse into the swamps that have overtaken them.  Once filled with canals and mansions, it is now a stinking cesspool of colossal ruins, unrefreshed by the tide.

Oooh. I like. The idea of people believing that the ruler of Cheliax is Lord Asmodeus could really build an empire of excess before the fall. I can buy into that.

Now I got an idea for a hellknight paladin/anti-paladin...

How did the hellknights as an organisation fare?

Ixy

The scheme works, but it does mean that if I accept one PC, I will most likely have to accept both.  While that's great, and I love party interaction and tied histories, be aware-- just in fair warning-- that this could create a bit of tension for a small group.  Other than that-- definitely works.

Now... as far as a "harem", the term may not justify the appellation in person.  There is no middle class, really, so even a minor noble in such a disparate society-- one which openly endorses and practices slavery-- could plausibly keep concubines so long as he has the resources to sustain them, but far from master of a lavish palace, he would have resided in a minor fortification from the old city-- perhaps an old keep, once part of a larger fortification, now fashioned to resemble a residence with wooden guard-towers, fences, and quarters tacked-on to the remaining hardened structure.  And his being of some distant blood relation to the noble family would be the only justification for him being a land-baron of any kind, with perhaps a dozen soldiers ready-- but not exceptionally well trained-- at his service.  The two of them would have been treated harshly by the guards before the-- what would you call her-- Baroness?  Or Baronetess even? -- called for justice and, from her wheeled couch, was trotted out to view the violated, beaten, mostly-dead captives and pronounce their sentence of death.

The affair would be held at the keep, and the general public could attend for the cost of two coppers per head, one copper for children shorter than a man's waist.  Stale, baked rolls would be handed out to paying customers, and distilled corn whiskey would be sold for a copper per watered-down cup (bring your own vessel). There would be warm-up hangings, and after a few hard-looking souls arrived bearing ores to take the young women into their  custody.  Th affair would be settled quietly due to the circumstances, and few noticed or cared that two others of the 'harem' were executed in the place o of the sisters.  Their bodies were impaled on the keep tower naked for the crows for seven days and nights as a message... and to ensure no reanimation took place.

The Changeling Witch
Character Name:  Nephele
Deity/Alignment:  Naderi/True Neutral
Race/Sex:  Human (Changeling)/Female
Class:  Witch/Seducer

Concept:  Witch of the Wilds (to be), leaning towards stereotypes like Crookback Bog. A potential temptress, though still struggling whether that's the right path for her. True Neutral representing more her struggle between being a good person and bending others to her will thanks to her darker heritage, as opposed to 'do what I want whenever' or 'Defend the forests!'. She's a natural seductress at the moment, accidental or not. Enchantment/enthrallment being her main means with dealing with people, though I tend to get spells like Spider Whip and the vermin (spider shape) things for her, as more her symbol!

Description:  Thick raven rivulets run down this creature's narrowed shoulders, framing a cool tear-drop face. Skin like marble with huge amber gems set within the almond shape of her eyes, hidden beneath a natural canopy of charcoal lash that look out with such burning intensity; an unnatural shade. Gentle angles, a slender nose, and a natural cupid's bow graces the rest, a hint of a smirk playing along those sanguine shaded lips.

Standing at a good five seven, her long legs speak of slightly less than sumptuous grace; a hint of thickness to each of her alabaster thighs. Leading to the surprising breadth of hip that offers an elegant undulation with each step taken. The slender shape of most of her body only further draws attention to the supple swell of a heart-curved backside, her waist sucking in and drawing the eyes easily up. A pair of neat, perky handfuls finish the feminine ensemble; her form usually hidden in dress or slightly tight trousers and blouse.

A certain innocence shines in her eyes, youth and curiosity; yet in the same breath, the gyration of her hips, the inviting arch of her back, the intensity of her stare belie a darker nature. One not entirely of this realm.

Biography:  There's a small little town on the outskirts of the kingdom. One like any other, really. There was a two story Inn (the biggest building in the village!), a two man smithy (that on occasion made more than just horseshoes and hangers!), a cobbler, an herbalist and... well, really, nothing unexpected. It had it's own Village Council, and even a Women's Circle. And was graced by a very spiritual Wise Woman/Wisdom/alchemist: Eleanor.

The village was mostly humans, the typical sort. Large families residing in generational homes, a few with local feuds that only spurred interest and gossip and helped distract from the destruction their lands had suffered. Yet there were a few outliers, a few dwarven sort. But of particular note, the woman that listened to the weather and helped cure the sick; Eleanor was a gnome.

Adalgar was the local owner of the Rooftop Revolt, the Inn that saw to travelers or acted as a host for events of all sorts. It took years, many, but the two were eventually drawn to one another. Pulled into a spiral of romance and love that led to marriage. And besides the occasional joke (usually at his expense) the two were embraced by the village.

Yet such a coupling naturally could result in difficulties. Particularly in having a child. They tried, of course. Many a time. Quite rigorously. But years went on, and slowly but surely they prepared to simply live the rest of their lives together; just two.

A blessing! It was during the sharp cold of Winter, the chilling bite of the deathly season that Adalgar entered the warmth of the Inn with a particular little bundle wrapped up in his arms. Why he'd gone during a storm to find firewood, why it couldn't wait for tomorrow no one could say; yet Eleanor could not be happier.

Strange was the coming of Nephele's existence into this family, yet it was one full of joy. Even if she tended to be sickly, she smiled throughout. And her parents, adopted or not, loved her. One blessing turned to another when she grew, resembling much of her adopted father, blossoming into quite a beauty - if a little ungainly and awkward in her own body at times. Yet not /everyone/ embraced her existence as she grew, some murmuring a few rumors here or there. Mother's deftly watching their sons. A few girls growing cold and jealous. Such things usually led her to traversing the forest, exploring by herself. Making up the most fantastical stories whenever she had free time - until her 18th when she stumbled across a blonde-haired youth.

Trait:  Charming

He was different. Not just from the set of his clothes, or the piercing hues of his blue eyes. But the way he held himself, the way he confidently met another's eyes with a surety that he knew whatever he saw. It was only later that she learned he was from another village - a proper town, the song of a local lord. She was smitten. Sexuality was a quickly learned thing in the upcoming months. His... experience, she presumed, was natural. Men simply must know and understand some things. And as it ventured into deeper depths, having her wrists tied. A small gag fitted. Or having her skirts pulled up in the alley of two buildings... it was an adventure in its own right, and he insisted this was utterly natural and normal; every couple did such things.

It was only when she decided to travel to his town, to his home that tragedy struck - finding him with another woman, an equally fair blonde-haired beauty. He acted... different. Smoother. Gentler. My lady this, my lady that. Tipped fedora. It wasn't long until Nephele figured out what she was to him, and despite the hurt in her heart, the pain... She knew they existed in separate worlds. The right thing was to simply break things off and not give into that dark-hearted jealousy... or envy that she'd seen other women toss her way.

...until she spotted him in the forest with a gang of friends, bows slung over a shoulder while 'hunting'. Casually remarking on the dark-haired harlot he'd been enjoying while the girl he was courting refused to put out. The foulness only continued as she sunk into the brush and her heart twisted into knots.

Trait:  Empty Heart, Full Heart

Really, it'd been a terrible idea. Truly terrible. Yet something cruel came forth, bubbling to the surface. That same confidence, that same certainty she'd seen in him she reflected. First on his friends, those merchant sons of lesser standing that flocked to him. A meeting in the dark, a whispered word in an ear. A promise of more to come... that was all that was needed to convince them to bring the young lordling to a barn in the dark of night. And there, when he finally did arrive with his 'friends', he was graced with the whimpering and breathless sounds of a young blonde. Held in the tempting clutches of the raven-haired harlot. His 'fiance' moaning out her hatred for him as she fell into Nephele's embrace.

Trait:  Domineering

It was partially the seduction, partially the sight... but his friends held him back, refusing to release him as the two women enjoyed themselves.

Really, it'd been a terrible idea. Rage is a wicked thing, and she knew she'd overstepped her bounds quite a bit. Her village was troubled, whispers and concerns being voiced. The council in an uproar regarding the complaints of this Family. The letter.... it'd been a saving grace. Her family would be safe as she packed up and fled to the academy - an institution that surely even a noble wouldn't dare cross. Not some country lord, anyway.

Player Desires:  Non-Con scenes are always nice, but I suppose what I mean is Dub-Con! Situations that the characters didn't wish to get into, but with a fantastical twist, where they're made (and perhaps humiliated) into enjoying what's happening. The more aggressive, more 'real' situations I'd rather skirt around, though I'm still happy to have very serious and realistic events! Particularly to poor NPCs, or the story, or environment.

Naturally, fantasy ought to be fantasy, and it IS Pathfinder. Cursed items, purely detrimental or with a somewhat benefitial twist are always fun, as is creative use of arcane/divine powers/potions/etc! Even during combat, on the occasion. Temporary blunders, like baleful polymorph (I have a bunny tail and want to breed, oh nooooh~).

Ahem, in a less pervy, more setting-wise thing. I definitely like what the other two mentioned, but! I do like camping/exploring jungles/lush, unruly environments. Swamps are neat-o too. Being graded on quests, sorta a game within a game is also pretty nice. Perhaps a few other students, too, that was can build some bonds with (like contacts) would be cool, or a rival group of students cropping up now and then.

I'm easy to please, finding a few gold coins with no effects from some ancient civilization, a sword that turns into a club (why?!), fancy jewelry from an ancient goblin lord... Anything attached with some story and lore is great. I especially love nifty mundane items too! New clothes are spiffy.

Finally, for my character - the ability to use social skills would be great, outside of just the school. She's also a changeling (and a witch!) So covens/hags/etc would be pretty spiffy. Of course, way later in the story!

That said, with this group, I'll probably have immense fun even if there was nothing kinky or lewd at all. Oh! And having time to interact with other party members would be nice too, so we're not just hanging on your every word all the time, unless you'd like. Oh, and creepy-pasta-horror can absolutely be great.

Ixy

Don't think that would work... I'd prefer them to be a mysterious entity out there that you may find, may not, and may not WANT to find.  :)

However, nothing to say you weren't trained by someone with an exceptionally strict lawful code who hates demons and seems to believe one of the tenants of an old Order... who knows who they used to be, or who used to teach THEM.

So many ideas are coming to a head, this should be splendid.  May I ask that all who've expressed interest consolidate and finalize their applications and re-post by Wednesday evening, marked, at the top, with the following:

Application: Player Name, Character Name

Below that, please include, for my slack-ass DM reference, your sheet (linked or in spoiler if all texty), your PC's background, personality, appearance and/or Avatar, your post-rate, and your O/Os for this character (especially if they vary from yours or there's something -special- you're craving).

Again, please post that by Wednesday.  This will be small-group (4-5 absolute max with most scenes involving no more than 3 PCs) and I will do my absolute damndest to make this a good game for all accepted.

Thanks!

Application: LisztesFerenc, Cris

https://www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=1376293

Concept: Fairly vanilla half-elven rogue adventurer, she finds traps, picks locks, finds treasure, stabs monsters in the back, and scurries away to hide behind an ally if she gets too injured.

Personality: Cris is a shy and quiet girl, who instinctively gravitates towards the sideline of things. She wants to be friendly but isn't sure how since she doesn't have much experience positive experience interacting with others. Under the broken shell is the potential for a talkative, fun loving youth, but it would need to be nurtured. She enjoys tasks which keep her fingers occupied, stacking things, shuffling cards, picking locks. Cris pretends to be a boy, but she does not identify as one, this is simply a move, at least partially subconscious, to try and get others to like her more, after hearing her father curse her gender so many times over a bottle of booze.

Cris's current goals are (in order of importance):
Be the best student she can possibly be at the academy and befriend one of the male instructors to win their approval (and get a surrogate father figure)

Find elven artefacts (anything from an elven flute to a magical item of elven design to the crown of the first elf queen)

Buy a farm with corn fields, goats and a duck pond to retire to one day

Her life was judged to be worth 6 silver in the hand of herwould be executioner, with an additional 6 distributed among those she stole from, to compensate for the troubles. A bewildered Cris left the stocks in the company of a stranger and was led to the Academy.

  Appearance and avatar:

Short cropped, ashblond hair and seagreen eyes in a bony face, Cris is somewhat pretty, though far from stunning and rather plain for even just a half-elf.

Posting rate: 3 times per week minimum, more if necessary.

Sexual ons/off: Dominance and submission, emotional manipulation/abuse, reluctance, degradation, control and occasional affection. The idea of corporal punishments with erotic elements sounds very exciting. I want to see Cris's insecurities and need for affection from the authority figures in her life exploited, and occasionally rewarded, though never quite how she would ideally desire them. Beyond that my usual apply, I like pain, humiliation, bondage, with only the very extreme as limits (scat, vomit, finger/teeth removal unless magically healed).

PhantomPistoleer

Application: Phantom, Oxenbridge Hewitt

Brief History:

This is a transcript of our conversation with Oxenbridge Hewitt, a potential initiate.  Salazar Quill and I, Homer Gallio, standing members of the Adventurer's Guild, are present.  Our conversation took place on the equinox, inside of a jail cell, where Oxenbridge is being held for attempted murder.

Tell us about your parents?

"Who, the Hewitts?"

No, your real parents.

"...  I didn't know them.  They left me and went off and got killed when I was a baby."

Is that what the Hewitts told you?

"No.  My first parents told me that my real parents were brave heroes who died protecting the city from the undead.  But what difference does that make?  I'm still here.  They left me."

Your first parents?

"Well, yeah.  My first parents were in their forties when I was but a year old, and took care of me until... well, until my first father died when he was sixty.  He was executed by a gang of ex slaves.  I don't know why.  They claimed that he was the reason why the world was the way that it was and just slit his throat in front of me."

And how many parents have you had?

"I've had four parents.  When my first mother died, my eldest sister became my second mother.  Although she never married, she conceived four children.  Her first real son died before he ever got a name.  Her second real son died, too, when he was caught stealing silverware from a pawn broker.  Her third son was the one who became my third father, but... he wasn't very interested in being a father.  I can't blame him now, but it hurt then.  I didn't feel wanted."

And your fourth parents?

"Yeah... so, my third father didn't have any children...

Aside from you.

"...  I guess.  He and I didn't have a very good connection, so it's difficult for me to say that I was his son even though he was my third father.  He was not there when I needed him, and I remember thinking that he just didn't care about me."

But he kept you around?

"Yes and no.  I worked on the streets to earn enough to eat.  It was difficult for me because humans... hated me."

Hated you?

"Yeah.  They hated me.  They kicked me and spit at me.  And I swore--I SWORE--that I wouldn't ever let anybody kick me or spit at me when I was big enough to fight back.  I was so angry back then."

So, your fourth parents...?

"It turns out that my third father died from consumption.  When that happened, I was inherited by cousins who were descendants from my first parents' youngest child.  They tried to take care of me, but by then, I was just gone.  They couldn't help me."

You said that you were gone.  What do you mean by that?

"I had spent over two decades on the streets.  I earned money in the fighting pits, and I used that money on drugs.  It... I'm not proud of who I was, but I was just a wild animal then.  I couldn't be domesticated.  And I just didn't care for my new parents.  The fourth ones.  Why did they wait so long to help me?  I wasn't their problem until my third father died, but I needed their help much sooner than that."

So what happened?

"I had a lot of problems.  As I said, I was abusing drugs.  Anything I could get my hands on.  I just didn't want to be me.  I wanted to be a normal person.  A human.  I wanted to live like a human, and die like one, too.  Drugs helped me live in those dreams."

You were a fighter.

"Yeah..."

You were a user.

"... *sigh*...  yeah..."

But you never murdered anyone.

"Not yet, anyways."

Why did you try to kill Lagon the Merchant?

"... Lagon deals in spices.  Everyone knows that.  He's not big enough to step on anybody's toes, but he's enough of a hassle for anybody that crosses him.  And I crossed him."

How?

"I started seeing one of his girls.  And things between us got serious.  Lagon wasn't happy about it, so he killed her."

This woman, this... Diana... she died of a chemical misadventure.

"That's a lie.  She... you didn't know her.  She wouldn't do that shit.  She was above that."

She died from ingesting a fatal dose of black tar, Mr. Hewitt.

"I told you, that's a lie!  You... you think that you can just...  you son of a bitch...!"

The conversation ended when Oxenbridge assaulted us.  A true and certified copy of our notes of the conversation has been attached to our affidavit recommending his admission into the Adventurer's Guild.

Sexual Ons:

Ox enjoys partaking in group sex, BDSM, and femdom.

AnneReinard

Application: AnneReinard, Mina Pulex

Concept: Former Concubine Turned Adventurer by Necessity

Personality: Mina is a former concubine with no small amount of Stockholm syndrome. As a result, she still has many of the quirks that had served her well in her captivity. She tries her best to be pleasing at every turn, both physically and mentally. She is among the first to agree with anything that somebody else has to say, letting the thoughts of others fill her head out. As a result, she typically comes across to people as bubbly, empty-headed, and perhaps a bit dim-witted... and after so long of faking these conditions, they've even become true to an extent. Harsh words and crude language are enough to make her typically cave in and cease offering any protest to a plan she disagrees with.

Despite these problems, she does have a high degree of empathy for other people. Her natural blessings of magic manifest themselves typically in being able to ease the wounds of others or prevent them from obtaining them to begin with. While she was forced out of the relative comfort of her captivity into being taken in as an adventurer, she sees it more as an opportunity rather than a punishment. She has the chance to reach out and help people, to perhaps make the world a better place. She is very optimistic about this at the moment, despite her irrational grudge toward her fellow concubine.

Appearance: Mina is a beautiful young woman with long blonde tresses that reach just beneath her shoulder blades. Despite the problems of the day, her position as a favored concubine saw her relatively well fed and cared for without too much struggle; this shows in her relative curviness and lack of muscle tone compared to many in this day and age. Were it not for her healing abilities, there is no doubt that her skin would be covered in more scars. She often frets about her looks more than she should, especially after her time as a concubine has come to an end; she often complains about what she considers rags that she was offered with after the recent shake-up. Her bright blue eyes are usually wide open, taking everything in, and she sometimes takes a slightly vapid look when she does not understand something. Given her choice in the matter, she favors brighter colors and rather sultry clothing that catches the eyes; something that instructors have ended by shoving armor at her that actually covers skin to avoid damage.

Brief History: Mina Pulex was born to a poor family inside of a nation that had been plunged into recent chaos. Survival was difficult for the family in the best of times: the young girl was taught that she could dance to catch the attentions of men at the taverns and perhaps make a few extra copper or a piece of bread for her time. In a time where monsters could roam the ruins of the city at any time, the risk of being abused by cruel men or being robbed at the point of a knife was an acceptable risk after all. So the pretty little thing danced away in the yellow glow of taverns, until a day came when she caught the eye of the cruel Baron Cicensis. That very night, his thugs were all too happy to drag the girl screaming into the night, back to a fort from which her family would never see her again.

Years passed and Mina caved to her captors. She became the favored concubine of the baron and her mind was hollowed out to be subservient to his whim. She simpered and preened and did her best to keep in his good graces and had long since stopped dreaming of the outside world or a life that could have been. After all, a little abuse from the baron was clearly better than what might have existed outside of the fort. The world had fallen completely into disgrace and only the strong deserved to rule in these days - befitting of a nation ruled by the divine Asmodeus. Even as the strikes on her body brought out her inherent healing powers, she did not consider what she could use it for aside from allowing the Baron to abuse her all the more with less repercussions.

Everything changed when she found the Baron murdered in his bed, another concubine holding the blade. Her world twisted around as power and control passed to the vindictive baroness. Abuses were heaped on her without the false affection of the Baron and it seemed that her execution was soon to come. Only the careful passing of coin and whispered promises were enough to save her from the axe, and she was taken away to the Ravenhurst Estate for training alongside the murderer of the baron that her twisted mind had grown rather fond of. Her mind remains struggling with balancing the desire to use her powers to change the world for the better as an adventurer might be able to do with the despair at being thrust from the simple life of thoughtless servitude. They meld in service toward the Guild, for the time being.

... loving it.  1 more day, all.  I am more that pleased with these three characters and think they will all fit wonderfully.

Deviant Munster, if you're still in, you'd make 4 with that character, and Aylinas, I'm waiting on your character as well (I believe? Did I miss it?)

Aylinas

Application: Aylinas, Malia Allard

Concept: Ex-Concubine/Rouge who Killed her Owner

Personality: At first blush, Malia is a sullen, willful and sometimes angry individual.  She values personal freedom and holds a seething hatred for authority and power structures.  In brighter days she may have found herself to be a political agitator in Cheliax, but these days it's enough to just live.  Staying alive is rather quite important to her and it seems, oddly, that being an adventurer is just about the only way she can manage that.  One might question if she has anything but a rough, cynical exterior, but she does, at least, show sympathy for others who are in a terrible spot.

Appearance:  Malia has curly, shoulder-length black hair, blue eyes, and a slim build.  She prefers black clothing, for obvious reasons and carries around a dagger usually hidden in the folds of her outfit.  She also carries around a set of dice as a memento from her days of gambling and thievery.  Though she usually keeps it covered up, her back has a few faded whip scars.

Brief History:  Malia was given to what outwardly seems like an orphanage at a very young age.  The orphanage, of course, while it legitimately took care of children, was funded mostly by the children themselves, either through begging, eavesdropping, pickpocketing or other petty larceny which the owner made it a habit to teach the tykes.   Malia made an excellent sneak thief herself and she quickly grew into a regular cat burglar.  When she hit her teens, she and several of her partners in crime took to the streets as their own small gang of thieves without a guild (one of them she quickly picked out as a boyfriend).  Answering to no one and stealing from the wealthy to survive.

Though Malia is no fool and makes it a habit to check her marks, it was almost inevitable that the group found themselves stealing from the wrong person at some point.   When the quartet of thieves arrived in the town of the cruel Baron Cicensis, they quickly found a populace that were none to happy about their overlord who had a personal army and horded wealth.  Honor and romantic notions demanded the four of them pull off a daring heist from the man.  Plans were made.  Secret code words were discussed.  Escape routes were plotted out.  Nothing could stop them.  ...Except for a magical trap.  It all happened in a blinding flash.  One of them was electrocuted... and panic set in so heavily the three that were left didn't know what was happening until a squad from the baron's private army was on top of them.  Her boyfriend tried to fight but was gutted before he could land a blow and she and her last remaining friend were dragged into the Baron's gardens with their heads on chopping blocks.  Though her friend's neck was severed, the baron took a liking to Malia's curves and she quickly found herself dragged to one of the baron's "private chambers", bound in place and gagged for a long night of pleasure for the baron.

Nine years passed with Malia owned by the estate.  As one might expect, she did not concede quickly to being owned quietly.  In fact, her first two years of being owned by the baron was marked by an escalating, increasingly debauched series of punishments to get her to behave.   Whipping, time on a wooden horse, living in a cage were just some of the private punishments, though she quickly 'graduated' to being given to the guards in a pillory peaking in being forced to clean the stables with her mouth.  The long string of punishments eventually worked and Malia gave in to serving the cruel Baron.  As the years passed and Malia grew more pliant and broken, the baron found her talents of thievery to be rather useful for punishing people he didn't like but would rather not be overt about attacking.  And so she was kept busy stealing items or blackmail material for the man.   After nine years of captivity though, the baron became complacent about checking Malia's weapons.... and one night she hid a shiv in her dancer outfit, joined him in bed and stabbed him in the throat.

Malia was quickly sentenced to die from the vindictive baroness.  Though nearly at the point where she was questioning if she cared, a secretive letter from the Ravenhurst Estate was enough to rekindle her desire to live and she was more than happy to flee into the night, knowing anywhere else would likely mean death.

Post Rate:  Daily as needed.  Don't be surprised if I rattle something off in the dead of night.

Ons:  Bondage, degradation, pillories
Offs:  Gore, incest

Sorry, wasn't trying to rush you, Aylinas.

DeviantMunster: are you still in?

Phantom: I understand the shift... Brawlers are a fun class that I'd like to explore some time, and Martial Artist is fine if you want to shake of the yoke of ki and lawfulness.

... am I missing anyone, anything, urgent here?  Not trying to be unfair, promise... I just want to keep the iron glowing.  I expect I'll have up an OOC/Character threat tonight or tomorrow night (Eastern Time), giving time for last-minute adjustments today and tonight.

Thank you guys for your interest.  I hope to keep it.

I don't know if Autocad has PM-ed you or something, so just going off what they've said in this thread they were considering an antipaladin or paladin build, but haven't presented anything final yet.

And yes, fighter would probably be a better fit with the other character, though I kinda like the fragile theme we have going currently. Might not feel that way after the first fight though. One thing PhantomPistoleer, you've noted your monk's wisdom to AC as armour, which means mythweaves isn't adding it to your touch AC. If you pretend the bonus is deflection, it will add them to both, and you just need to remember to dock it when immobilized.

Autocad

Nah I don't have enough for a complete character. Have fun guys :O

Thanks, LF.  But it's a moot point now.

DeviantMunster

Application: DeviantMunster, Nephele

That need not be a barrier.  Amnesia is an option, our I can help... or you can emerge later, a shady figure from someone's past?

Just saying, let me know.

As for everyone else: Cris, Nephele, Malia, Oxenbridge, and Mina are fantastic. I'm thrilled and will post back to kick off tonight.

I ask only this: 1) Try.   2) Tell. Me.  IMMEDIATELY  if you get any of the three "B"s: Bothered (content or player), Busy (short our long term), or Bored.

Yeah really... don't let me plod along pouring my garbage writing out if you are bored.  I can change on a dime.  If it doesn't work after a few angles, well darn.
