Renegade Vile's "One on One / Solo Canon Role Play Ideas"

Welcome to my list of canon role play ideas!

As the title says, the following posts will outline more detailed or specific role play ideas I have available for canon settings. To see more general ideas, please visit my O/O page here. Each blurb will normally follow the same layout and will mostly just be an explanation of the concept and basic storyline. As always, everything is up for discussion and/or debate. Do you really like an idea but want it to take place in a different time frame or location within the canon setting? Feel free to shoot it past me and I'll see what I think. I'm also open for suggestions for involving other canon characters not listed with their own idea. If you are interested in an idea, send me a PM, but refrain from replying to this topic, simply because I'd prefer to keep these threads as small and manageable as possible.

Characters of particular interest will be marked as such by being set to bold, while blurbs of particular interest will be marked with (*) below.

Mass Effect - Deacon Shepard

*These Role Play Ideas are intended to be used with the following character:*

*I am always open to suggestions*

  • (*) After the End: Shepard's choice was not as lethal as they had first believed. After the explosion that claimed much of synthetic life in the galaxy, the Citadel was scoured from top to bottom, an effort that was taking months upon months. However, the commander was never found. A valuable price, they were extracted from the debris by surviving Batarian slavers who had gotten to the scene first. Shepard was still widely hated by the violent race, due to his frequent actions against them, and the boss of the slavers had a vested interest in having Shepard brought before him, for he knew of the commander's hand in destroying a Batarian system, in which his entire family had been living. Taken to the slaver lair deep in the Terminus Systems, Shepard isn't a captive for very long. After a single torture session, they are sprung by a familiar (or unfamiliar) face. Having heard of what had happened to the commander, and not finding any ears willing to listen, the individual single-handedly spent a lot of time and effort in tracking them down. Now, the two need to stop the slaver's operation and get off the rock in one piece. Maybe then, life can return to a semblance of normal.
  • (*) The Skyllian Blitz: The Skyllian Blitz was a defining moment not only in the career of Shepard, but also many other men and women who gave their all in the defense of Elysium, a small human colony in the Skyllian Verge. The initial ground assault was terrible, with civilian casualties skyrocketing due to the excessive force applied by the invaders. Working closely with Shepard throughout the days of the Blitz was a young, female soldier. It is their mission to hold out for reinforcements come, while making hard choices concerning which population centers to back up, and which to let burn...
  • Always in Trouble: Deacon has gotten himself into a significant bout of trouble. After taking on a mission that seemed routine, it turned out to be little more than a hoax to draw him out into the open. Double-crossed on arrival, he barely makes it out alive, and is left with no means to leave the area. Stranded, he realizes he needs a special set of skills to make it out alive. This is where your character comes in. Depending on what works best, either old or new enemies, or Cerberus, has made Deacon their target. Either on a desolate, or a densely populated planet, they are hunting him down and he needs something that your character is good at to get off again. He approaches them with an offer and hopes they will consider helping. To tie things together better, we can plan it so your character has a vested interest in getting off the planet as well, or to stop whoever is hunting Deacon.
  • Cut Off: The destruction of the Reapers caused widespread chaos in the galaxy. Governments were struggling to get back up on their feet, and with the Mass Relay network down, countless colonies are left with nowhere to turn for supplies or protection. One such a colony, a distant one owned by a now-defunct corporation, sports a sizable population of all manner of races. However, incompetent management, stress, fear and a lack of contact with the outside is stirring up trouble and the more outspoken elements are becoming restless. Not much will be required to cause riots and even violence to flare. When a storm hits the colony and blankets it entirely, a coup is staged to try and "fix" the incompetent, though innocent, manager's mistakes. A lot of innocents are dying in the crossfire, and it is up to our two characters to set things right. Deacon will have arrived at the colony shortly before the storm, part of a supply run funded by the Systems alliance to help isolated colonies. Your character's activity or the reason for their presence, is yours to decide on.
  • (*) Rannoch Terrorized: [Tali'Zorah] After the defeat of the Reapers, the Quarians can begin their reconstruction of Rannoch. However, it seems that the custody of the Geth was not as perfect as they had once claimed. While the cities were maintained, the wildlife outside was left unchecked. Now, with the Geth protection gone, Rannoch has quickly become the target of slavers, smugglers and other unsavory elements. When one crime lord proves to be a far greater challenge than expected, and his terrorist activities cost a great many lives, Tali'Zorah is ordered to call in favors wherever she may find them. She knows of only one person who drop everything to come help her people...
  • (*) The Geth Solution: [Tali'Zorah] The Quarian plight to reclaim their homeworld from the Geth is well-known, but the actual battle is a very personal one. Often shunned and watched on Council Worlds, all the race wants it to get their old home back, or find a new one. Few are as passionate about this fight than Tali'Zorah, and after the defeat of the Collectors, her journey began taking her far and wide. Every useful information that might hold a clue to stopping the Geth without the need for a costly war, was important; important enough to outsource. When what she needs is being held on a moon in the Terminus Systems, and she finds no help coming from home, she turns to Deacon, who was still grounded on Earth. Willing to do anything for her, he manages to break free of his custody and puts everything on the line to give her a home.
  • The Illusive Hunt: [Miranda Lawson] After Miranda leaves the service of Cerberus, she ends up on the same list as all enemies of the shadowy organization do. Despite having to dodge assassins and operatives constantly, she keeps herself alive, and her family safe. However, stopping Cerberus becomes a priority when her sister disappears. However, Shepard is more than willing to help someone he owes his life to. A lull in the fight against the Reapers, caused by a complete lack of leads, gives him all the time he needs to help Miranda bring Cerberus down.
  • (*) The Dark Colony: [Ashley Williams] Life became exponentially busier for both Deacon and Ashley when the Reapers were defeated. The entire known galaxy was in disarray and the destruction of the mass relays and significant amounts of technology, only made matters worse. Many colonies got cut off from their governments, if a government even still existed, and became the ideal prey for pirates, slavers and other unsavory elements. Still serving as a Spectre, despite the disorganization rampant on the Citadel Council, Ashley was ordered to travel to a remote Turian colony, with which all contact was only recently lost; after the destruction of the Reapers. Foul play is suspected and when she arrives, she finds signs of battle. After scouting for survivors, she finds a familiar face, Deacon, who had been investigating the same incident for the Systems Alliance, solo and covert. Together, they decide to get to the bottom of it. Perhaps the Terminus Systems are taking advantage of the situation, or perhaps it is something far more sinister.
  • Struggling to Survive: [Karin Chakwas] During his struggles against Saren, Collectors and Reapers, wounds were frequent. But, Dr. Karin Chakwas was always there to patch him back up, with a smile. After Deacon's fateful decision to destroy the Reapers leaves him on the brink of death, there is only one doctor he would trust his life to. The rehabilitation is lengthy, but it's time he can spent with a woman who means more to him than she knows.
  • The Mastermind: [Maya Brooks] Deacon's crusade against the remnants of Cerberus has not been proceeding well. Many of his attempts at thwarting their distant activities and reconstruction efforts have ended in failure, simply because they have become too fragmented to track down properly. Still incarcerated for her crimes, Maya Brooks - although that is not her real name - gives Deacon an offer he finds he cannot refuse. In exchange for being allowed to come along, she will help him find her former associates. Of course, she has an agenda of her own, but who knows what that might be? Given no other option, Deacon accepts.
  • Living on the Edge: [Jack] Jack's life felt empty after the end of the Reaper War. A lot of her students had lost their lives, and there was precious little work for her as long as rebuilding efforts continued. But, there was one shadow of her past that simply refused to die. While weakened to being a mere fraction of what they used to be, Cerberus still lived through the machinations of a single man. Leading the remnants of the organization, he was trying to eek out a comfortable home in the fringe of the galaxy. Sharing her aspirations to see them undone, Deacon offered to help her put an end to Cerberus, once and for all. The ringleader was a survivor of the project that tortured Jack since a tender age, as well as committed such atrocities as murdering admiral Kahoku and attempting to have Shepard's mother assassinated. It was personal for both of them.

Mortal Kombat - Ermac

*These Role Play Ideas are intended to be used with the following character:*

*I am always open to suggestions*

  • (*) Judging a Traitor: [D'Vorah] D'Vorah betrayed Kotal Kahn's trust and the newest ruler of Outworld has not taken kindly to that affront. With Shinnok defeated and Quan Chi slain, D'Vorah seems to stand alone. She is in the custody of the Special Forces, but Kotal Kahn would much rather bring the axe down on her neck personally. For this, he sends Ermac, for he needs both cunning and power, making Reptile and Erron Black too specialized for the task. Ermac respects the Kytinn, however, and may wish to see her head remain where it is...
  • (*) The Civil War Continues: [Mileena] Mileena's ambition has not been stopped. Despite capture by D'Vorah, she managed to evade judgement with the aid of Rain and Tanya. Back out in Outworld, she -has- lost her power base and needs to start anew. A strange offer comes from Ermac, however, who seems to have lost faith in Kotal Kahn. Is he planning a trick on the half-Tarkatan? Or has his increasing individuality continued to heighten his ambition?
  • A Fellow Construct: [Skarlet] They had fought side-by-side on only one occasion; Ermac and Skarlet, but they had made for a potent team. She had vanished after Shao Kahn's defeat and no-one seemed to notice or care. Ermac, however, felt some kind of kinship with her that he could not explain, nor realize. It was subconscious, but in all the years to follow, he never stopped looking for her. Kotal Kahn could use her skill, even if he does not know it, and Ermac will prove it. Or perhaps his motivations are more selfish than that?

Mega Man - Vile

*These Role Play Ideas are intended to be used with the following character:*

*I am always open to suggestions*

  • (*) Unlikely Partners: [Nana] Circumstance has driven them together. A plot that no one wants to help her stop, forces former operator Nana to turn to unconventional help. A chance meeting with Vile cements their similar goals and they must work through their differences to save lives.
  • The Thief and the Soldier: [Marino] Marino has never been the most cautious. Having learned of something tremendously valuable being in the possession of Vile, she manages to track him down and take it from him. What she doesn't know is that he's hot on her trail, and none too happy...
  • Diabolical: [Ferham] She came with an offer, one she claimed he could not turn down. She was right. Ferham wants to bring down a group that claims to fight for the freedom of Reploids in the name of Epsilon. For reasons that are her own, she will not stand for it and when the group is revealed to know more about Vile's origins, his curiosity is piqued, and he agrees to help her.

Final Fantasy - Vincent Valentine

*These Role Play Ideas are intended to be used with the following character:*

*I am always open to suggestions*

  • (*) Weiss' Dominion: [Rosso the Crimson] The Tsviets had been bested. Deepground had been toppled. Weiss had been slain. Or so, Vincent believed when he walked away from the final battle. He could return to his life as it had been, what little of it he had, and the machinations of Hojo had finally been stopped for good. But not all loose ends had been tied. Weiss survived, as did a number of his agents. Angered and vengeful, he now turned his full attention to Vincent. Weiss was not the only Tsviet to survive the ordeal though. Battered, bruised and wounded, Rosso had crawled her way to freedom. Believing the Immaculate to be slain, she thought herself a free woman. But when she was approached by a former Deepground soldier, now operating as a field agent for the insane Weiss, she realized that cutting ties would not be quite so easy. She did not want to go back. She wanted to do what she pleased, when she pleased it. Weiss was not conducive to that goal. And so, the soldier was returned to Weiss, dismembered as a warning. Now the man had two targets, a former Turk, and a traitor from his own ranks. Unbeknownst to him, Rosso immediately set out to find Vincent. A temporary alliance would save them, for she knew Weiss had another weapon he had not yet used.
  • (*) Irresistible: [Rosso the Crimson] Rosso lived. Had Vincent known, he would have leaped down that pit after her. Why? He didn't really know. Ever since their first encounter, there had been something between them; something raw and powerful. It drew him to her like a moth to a flame. Her seductive voice had tried to lull him into a false sense of security before. A shake of her hips, a curl upon her lips, and a fleeting caress across her own exposed abdomen. He knew what she had tried to do every single time, so why did it always work? She represented a dangerous taboo, a woman he might be able to have, but shouldn't. A woman he wanted to badly pursue, but should try to avoid instead. Having been unable to talk her down from a fight that he thought had claimed her life had hit him hard. He knew there was something he felt for her, somewhere deep down, underneath all the aggression, the hate and the violence. A masochistic relationship. But a heated one as well. If only he knew she now stalked him, out for revenge...
  • (*) Shadows of the Past: [Tifa Lockhart] For some reason, Nibelheim called to her. She didn't know why, but she couldn't resist. After the experiments had left the reconstructed town behind, it once again lay abandoned. She hadn't visited since the battle with Sephiroth years prior, yet for some reason it was time to close up the bar for a few weeks, and head out. Something was wrong, she could feel it. So could Vincent. Much like her, he was drawn to the dark village, and they arrived nearly simultaneously. There was a force at work, because what they found was a village thriving with activity. People Tifa had seen burn to death walked around, going about their daily business. Among them was Lucrecia as well, happily sitting in the town square, jotting down notes. Baffled, curious, but hopeful, the two investigate. They will soon find that it is little more than a trap that hopes to ensnare both lonely individuals with their own desires to see shadows of people long-dead greet them one final time...
  • Disaster: [Lucrecia Crescent] What if things went differently? What if Vincent had awoken from his slumber just a few moments sooner. What if he rushed to her side when she was at her lowest, when she was ready to end it all? What if he stopped her? Who would they be today? Shinra had to be stopped. Hojo had to be stopped. Their ambitions had gone too far. There were rumors of resistance cells. Taking her with him, Vincent turned his back on the company that allowed madmen like Hojo to work. He had given over a decade of his life to the power company, and in exchange, he had been shot near-dead and not a single investigation into his disappearance had followed. His loyalty was shattered. And Lucrecia? horrified at the experiments and actions she had let go on for far too long, she goes with him, in an effort to join the resistance in Midgar, and put a stop to it all once and for all. And maybe then, just maybe, they could find happiness together.
  • The Fugitive: [Argento the Silver] Among the survivors of Deepground is one of Shinra's many experiments that is far more dangerous than the others. While Vincent aids the WRO in mopping up what remains of the heinous organization, he does not believe there are any Tsviets left. The former Turk is wrong. However, she is not out for revenge. She is free from the shackles of that decrepit place so deep beneath the ground. She can make her own decisions now, so why would she hunt the man responsible? Of course... that doesn't mean she won't defend herself when she is finally found and threatened with incarceration and trial for the crimes committed by her fellows. Given the fact that the deaths caused by Weiss were so recent, it stands to reason that it is unlikely she receive a fair trial, for precious few of those deaths were at her hands. Maybe she can convince Vincent to call off the hunt, or maybe she will have to die fighting like her fellow Tsviets did. Or maybe she will succeed where they failed?
  • (*) The Ancient's Resurrection : [Aerith Gainsborough] From time to time he would stop by there again; the Forgotten Capital. With time in spades, what else could he do to pass the decades? He could make use of what he had to try and understand places and times that few others could reach so easily. To preserve the place, Cloud and the others had decided to keep its location a secret from the world, but that did not mean that Vincent could not impart some knowledge found there through official channels like Reeve's WRO. Every time he went there though, he remembered the death of a young woman that had deserved so much better. But there was always something there, in the back of his mind, in the corner of his eyes, in the whispers of the wind. It was a voice. Calling out for help. It lured him there time and again. Was she still out there somewhere? Could he redeem at least one sin and return life to someone who should never have been taken in the first place?
  • (*) The Survivor: [Jessie] Many people died the day Sector 7's plate came crashing down; all lives taken too early by the ambitions of Shinra. But there was one woman presumed dead that was not among them. Spending months in a small clinic recovering, she finally awakens to find herself alone. Finding no trace of Tifa or Baret, Jessie decides to take the fight to the remnants of Shinra alone. These terrorist strikes cause a significant amount of trouble for innocent people as well, though, which in turn catches the attention of Vincent. Tracking her down, he has no idea who he finds himself working with to finally remove the last stains of Shinra from the Planet.
  • Two Minds are Better than One: [Elena] Vincent wasn't always the lonely traveler he has become. He once lead the Turks; a long time ago. Ace marksman, peerless investigator and respected professional, like his successor, he injected a modicum of ethics and restraint into an inherently dubious organization. Upon his awakening from his long slumber, and a meeting with Reno and Rude, he realized the Turks had changed. They had devolved and were no longer what he had once known it to be. He had always seen Shinra as a corrupted bastion, but at least the Turks offered some humanity. No longer. But severing all ties completely did not mean he changed entirely. His curiosity was still rarely sated, and his desire to root out the dangers of the Planet were still there. He simply no longer operated under Shinra's flag. It is evident that there are still threats out there, Deepground and Omega WEAPON confirmed it for him. Stumbling upon a conspiracy that might prove more of a threat than anything he faced before, it is once again made clear that brute force cannot solve every problem. Spies, agents and assassins lurk around every corner, and only a keen mind is going to be able to root them out. Vincent is not the only one chasing them. While her claims are disputed by her peers and superiors, Elena is convinced that she has found a genuine danger to Shinra. Defying orders, she heads out on her own to investigate, getting herself involved in perhaps more than she can chew. Their only choice is to join forces and uncover the mystery before it is too late. Maybe Elena can show the former Turk that there is still hope for the Power Company's intelligence service, for she is far more pure of heart than any of her colleagues ever will be...
  • Worlds Collide: Something has gone horribly wrong. A magical catastrophe has thrown existence as a whole into disarray. Where once there were worlds separated into their own dimensions, as it was intended, there is now an amalgamation that exists in its own little pocket realm. Among those drawn into this weird pastiche, is Vincent Valentine. Dead set on finding the source of the distortion, he sets out to explore a new world. While some places, faces and monsters are familiar, so much more is completely unknown to him. New technologies, magic, cultures and societies, nothing is familiar, but everything is locked in complete chaos, as others that have been pushed into the collage have no idea what to do. Fear was going to make them easy prey for whatever was causing this... Fortunately, Vincent does not stand alone. He was not the only hero(ine) to be taken from his own realm. Maybe together, they can undo the damage before it is too late.

Dragon Age - Marek Cousland

*These Role Play Ideas are intended to be used with the following character:*

*I am always open to suggestions*

  • (*) Melancholy's Ambition: Fergus Cousland has finally resurfaced. In the far West of Thedas, Melancholy has made its ambitions known. The Breach had given it inspiration. Beyond the veil rest a massive number of its minions; all just waiting to be beckoned into the world. It believes that myths from ancient time hold kernels of truth, that the Tevinter magisters were not the first to breach the Fade; even though they were the first to approach the Golden City. It desires the root of these secrets, an artifact that can open a Breach; one that the Inquisitor's Anchor will not be able to seal. And from it will come the rest of its army. Marek cannot let that happen, and neither can you.
  • An End to the Calling: Marek has much left to do in life. The Wardens of Ferelden are not what they once were, even after years of effort, and his brother remains at large. Everywhere he sees conflict that he wants to help stop, but he knows he is running out of time. He has left for the West, seeking answers to a question no one else has been able to resolve up until then. He needs to stop the Calling, for himself and for all Wardens. But how? Clues are scarce, until he stumbles upon someone else, a kindred spirit or an expert on the matter. Together with her, maybe he could find what he seeks in distant lands?
  • (*) Beyond the Eluvian: [Morrigan] The Eluvian was to be a safe haven for them, but upon arriving in the strange realm that lingered between worlds, they found that aeons of being cut off from Arlathan guidance, had led the plane astray. Creatures had settled within, some sentient, some far less so. If they were ever going to find the peace they desired, that realm would need to be cleared. What's more, they are not the only corporeal beings to wander there, for other humans have stumbled upon a way in, and they bring selfish desires with them that will bring danger to not just that world, but the material one as well. They need to be stopped.
  • (*) She is Everything: [Morrigan] Ever since the day he met her, Morrigan has colored Marek's perceptions. He has learned there is nothing he will not do for her. He has undergone the darkest of rituals and stared down high dragons to both win her affections and safeguard her life. They have become partners in life. He believed her to be safe in Orlais, but word has come that was not the case. Danger stalks the empire and Morrigan needs her lover's help to see stability return. There was always only one reason why Marek would drop everything and return to the public spotlight, and her name was Morrigan. Together they will find what threatens her, and put an end to it.
  • (*) The Inquisition: [Morrigan] Word reached Marek of Morrigan's involvement with the Inquisition, and it was more than surprising. He knew of her motivations, but not that she would depart Orlais to see them come to fruition. Intent on keeping her safe, Marek foregoes trusting his family's safety to a stranger, and returns home. Against all expectations, the Warden-Commander joins the Inquisition's fight against Corypheus and brings with him knowledge vital for stopping another of the Darkspawn's plans; one related less to the Eluvians, and more the destruction of Skyhold. Unknown to him, though, he has put himself in danger that only Morrigan can save him from.
  • A Reason to Live: [Sigrun] Sigrun always took her vows seriously, and it was no different when she decided to depart the Grey Wardens for the Deep Roads. It was not her Calling yet, though she still felt as though her hands were tied. Marek could not abide by this, and set off in pursuits of the female Dwarf. He tracked her down in the deepest recesses of the once-glorious Dwarven halls, and will not stop until he brings her back with him.
  • The Warden is Found: [Cassandra Pentaghast] For months, the search for the Warden-Commander continued. Both Leliana and Cassandra were convinced he made for the most ideal candidate to serve as Inquisitor to Divine Justinia V's plan to resolve the wars across Thedas. They found him, eventually, in a distant region to the far West, investigating matters he was not willing to share. He had changed, grown more reclusive and paranoid in his travels. He refused the offer, no matter what he was told. But, when push came to shove, and Haven fell, the Warden-Commander showed up on Skyhold's doorstep to offer his support. He came bearing grim news from Nevarra, news that would concern Cassandra greatly...
  • Old Favors: [Leliana] Leliana returned to Orlais, and climbed the ranks far faster than even Marek could have ever imagined. Left Hand of the Divine, it was a title not easily garnered, but no one deserved it more in his eyes. A brief letter of congratulations was all he could spare, and communication ended soon after. That is, until he received word from her that she needed his help. Few experts on contemporary Darkspawn remained in the region, with the Orlesian Wardens unwilling to help. And yet, Leliana was convinced there was a Darkspawn threat within the Chantry that needed to be dealt with. She called on an old favor, and a few weeks later, Marek had arrived in Orlais.
  • (*) Strained Partnership: [Velanna] Velanna and Marek never saw eye-to-eye. She was the exact opposite of the character traits he sought for in companions and friends. Brash, impulsive and blinded by the same racial hate that condemned her own kin to near-slavery. She blamed him for wars of old and it irked the man to no end. Yet, beneath all of that, they still tried to make it work, for some reason. And when The Mother lay dead, there was only one of his companions that he wanted to stay close to. When Velanna vanished to try and find her sister, she quickly learned she was not alone in the endeavor. Marek refuses to tell her why, but he is resolved to help her.
  • Returning Order to Kirkwall: [Aveline Vallen] Ever since the Mage Rebellion began, Kirkwall has struggled to maintain even a semblance of order. Aveline does her duty better than most anyone possibly could, but there are limits to what she can accomplish with the resources on-hand. While passing through Kirkwall during his investigations into Red Lyrium and its connection to the Blight, Marek inadvertently gets involved in the latest string of riots and violence to plague the troubled city. After getting his rear-end pulled out of the fire by Aveline, he proposes they help each other. She tells him what she knows, and he helps her keep Kirkwall together for at least a little longer.
  • Red Lyrium: [Hawke] Red Lyrium is rumored to be blighted Lyrium; which has a wide range of implications that have yet to be fully explored. More importantly, it may provide answers that Marek has been seeking for quite some time. In a bid to stop his Calling, he seeks to understand the Blight. Where better to start than in Kirkwall? Apparently, the city is being torn apart by conflicts with the Qunari and a war between Templar and Mages. When he tracks down a woman named Hawke, it seems she will only share what she knows in exchange for his help. What Hawke doesn't realize is that deals are never required to get the Cousland heir to help the innocent.
  • I can Help: [Inquisitor] The Inquisition has an enormous task before it. After setting up in Skyhold and putting a stop to many of Corypheus' ambitions, Leliana finally found a way to seek out support of a more unique kind. The Warden-Commander has been found, and initial correspondence is promising. While Marek does not know much about ancient Darkspawn, his travels have yielded information on Red Lyrium and other subjects. In exchange for being able to make use of the Inquisition's contacts in his own endeavors, Marek vows to aid the Inquisitor in her plight to bring stability and order back to the land. Their partnership is sure to bring an end to the chaos...

Dragon Age - Aurelius Aquila

*These Role Play Ideas are intended to be used with the following character:*

*I am always open to suggestions*

  • (*) Ancient Tevinter: Corypheus lay dead. But how many more like him remained? More than one magister broke through to the Fade. Even if Corpyheus' account of the events were muddled, odd, incomplete and maybe even twisted, there seemed to be a kernel of truth to the matter. Sentient Darkspawn like him existed, such as The Architect. It was not impossible to think there were others sleeping in Grey Warden prisons, long since abandoned. If there were others like him, they needed to be found, put down and they needed to answer for their crimes. Only then could Tevinter find some modicum of redemption. This quest is personal to Aurelius, for many different reasons. But he knows he cannot tackle it alone. Maybe there is another who is willing to share the burden for selfless, selfish or personal reasons?
  • (*) The Erimond Legacy: Livius Erimond had destroyed Aurelius' life in the name of ambition and the Magisterium. He had not evaded his punishment forever. Captured by the Inquisition, he faced judgement and was trialed. Aurelius may not have been happy with the end result, but it was done, and he had bested the former magister with his own two hands. But now, word came that another Erimond, the man's brother, intended to pick up where he left off. Just as twisted, he had already murdered Aurelius' mother as a means of drawing out the banished Tevinter. Angered in a way he had not since he had slain his own father, Aurelius dropped everything to return to the Imperium and set things right. The Erimonds were going to pay, as would their Venatori supporters. Or was Aurelius going to make the same mistake all over again? He was not going to be traveling alone, that much was certain.
  • The Seekers Undone: [Cassandra Pentaghast] Cassandra seeks to remake the Seekers, but this time hoping they do not go down the same dark path she discovered they had. Following the defeat of Corypheus, it was time to do just that, but where does one begin with such a task? The amoral actions of the manipulated Seekers have not remained a secret, and they no longer have the same reputation they once did. Furthermore, some surviving Seekers who actually pledged their loyalty to the twisted, ancient magister, have fled to Tevinter in the hopes of regrouping with the remaining Venatori. They would still pose a significant threat as a lot of malicious talent remains within those ranks. Cassandra is not alone in bringing them to justice. Upon hearing of her intents, it was impossible for her to keep Aurelius from coming with her. His arguments were sound. She needed his help to navigate the Imperium just as he needed her help in ending the Venatori. He was also more forthcoming with her than he had with others by not making it a secret that one of the surviving cultists was none other than his uncle. He's afraid of what the man will do now that he has his back to the wall; he needs to be stopped.
  • (*) Kirkwall's Predicament: [Aveline Vallen] Aurelius' memories of Kirkwall are mix of positive and negative. Some of his closest allies he met during his travels with Hawke. But, at the same time, he had also gone through some particularly painful realizations involving his uncle and his past. As is often the case with such duality, Aurelius cannot stay away from the city for long. After Corypheus' defeat, Aurelius returned to his travels. Intending on returning to Tevinter to see the Venatori undone, he first decided to make a stop in Kirkwall, to see if the place had changed at all. He had not been present for the devastation of the Mage Rebellion, so the contrast was striking. The first order of business was clear, he needed to help the city in whatever way he could. Having research Red Lyrium, helping to remove the taint from the streets would go a long way, and there was no one better to approach than Aveline, who had her hands full keeping law and order in place.
  • (*) The Inquisition's Vanguard: [Lace Harding] Lead Scout Lace Harding, a name that very quickly became synonymous with skill and efficiency within the Inquisition. No matter where the organization turned its attention next, she was at the forefront. She didn't operate alone, however. When trailblazing locations stricken by war, demons and other dangers, she was joined by her fellow scouts, and at times another whose experience on the open road proved useful. One of the first tasks that was quickly passed onto Aurelius when he joined the Inquisition was to put his knowledge of demons, Red Lyrium and the Venatori to good use. Where better than alongside the scout that was tasked with seeking these things out across Orlais and Ferelden? Together, they were part of the vanguard and not a single day was boring.
  • A Spymaster Scorned: [Leliana] The Bard Leliana. Sister Nightingale. The Left Hand of the Divine. Spymaster to the Inquisition. Leliana's resume is as expansive as it is impressive. However, all of those titles do not come without their fair share of burden and enemies. Aurelius had met Leliana in Kirkwall before, and while he had not made a solid acquaintance, he knew what he had seen: a kind heart wrapped in confidence and justice. But every day that passed in the service of the Inquisition seemed to further taint that. She became more ruthless. She had a point. The weakhearted could be prime targets, but that did not stop Aurelius from trying to curb her anger and regret. After all, he was the poster child for what such things could do to a person. It comes to a head after a failed assassination attempt on the Inquisitor. Having almost lost the next person to influence her greatly after the Divine, she ruthlessly pursues the culprits. But Aurelius does not want to see her make the same mistakes he did, and so he forces her to allow him to accompany her; hoping to make a difference.
  • (*) Mysteries of the Eluvian: [Merrill] Aurelius had met the kindhearted Merrill in Kirkwall years before joining the Inquisition. He did not know what to make of her back then, which kept their interactions fairly limited. However, after the defeat of Corypheus, Aurelius had been exposed to the true nature of the Eluvians through the information supplied by Morrigan. Having a place to start, he did some more digging of his own and eventually composed reports he knew she would find interesting. In truth, he was worried. Dabbling with demons was never a good idea, and after what had happened with her clan, he did not know if she had given up on doing so or just turned to their aid more. He tracked her down, and instead of being able to share some stories and sources over a nice drink, he instead found her in more trouble than she could handle alone. Resolved to help her, Merrill found herself an unexpected ally.
  • Antivan Cloak and Dagger: [Josephine Montilyet] Accompanying Josephine to Antiva on a diplomatic mission for the Inquisition was not a task Aurelius dreaded to undertake. She was pleasant, uplifting company, and knew when to focus on the business at hand. The Tevinter outcast got along well with her, even though he knew she did not quite trust him or his motivations. The task had been simple. Attend a few parties, play the part of chaperon and guard, and make sure she made it back home safe and sound. Sadly, these things had a way of going poorly. A member of the Montilyet family had earned the ire of a new enemy after their restoration and they had their eyes set squarely on Josephine. With ties to the local Antivan nobility, skipping the country seemed almost impossible. They had to find the source and put a stop to it, before word would even be able to reach the Inquisition for aid...
  • Distant Lands: [Warden-Commander of Ferelden] The Warden-Commander has been missing for years now. Their whereabouts are largely unknown, and save for some brief correspondence with the Inquisition, they continue to search in distant lands for a solution to the curse of the Calling. Aurelius believes the answer to that problem might yield significant insight into understanding what the magisters had done centuries earlier to start the Blight. After all, the Calling is a significant aspect of what drives the Darkspawn and what accompanies the Blight. And so, using their last known location, Aurelius sets off to find the Warden-Commander and offer his services. Surely they do not intend to solve this problem all on their own?
  • Journey to the Anderfels: [Hawke] Hawke's goal after the defeat of Livius and Nightmare was clear, they needed to travel to Weisshaupt Fortress and warn the Grey Wardens of what had transpired at Adamant Fortress. But, their journey was not to be a lonely one. The Anderfels was a distant place, and before anything else, preparations needed to be made. Corypheus' defeat allowed Aurelius the freedom to seek out his old friend and offer his aid. He knew there were going to be dangers to face, just as he knew Hawke would try to tackle them alone. Aurelius had buried enough people for a lifetime, and figuring his own ordeals could wait, he proceeded to pitch his offer, hoping Hawke was up for the good old days as much as the Tevinter mage was.
  • The Inquisition's Work is Never Done: [Inquisitor] The Inquisition had succeeded in stopping Corypheus' machinations, but that did not mean peace returned in full. The land was still torn from the Mage-Templar War, the ravages of Red Lyrium and the ambitions of rogue Templars, Seekers and Venatori remnants. Rifts still lingered and it seemed as though the Breach was going to project its influence for decades to come. The Inquisition had also profiled itself as standing for a principle and they would continue to serve as arbiter. Central to this was the Inquisitor, and Aurelius felt that, if anyone would be able to sway Tevinter, open the borders and become a force of a good evolution, it would be the Inquisitor. He was not ready to return home just yet. Instead, he remained by the Inquisitor's side, ready to serve.

Dragon Age - Aristide Vitali

*These Role Play Ideas are intended to be used with the following character:*

*I am always open to suggestions*

  • (*) The Cult of Herron: Vadi Herron was still out there, Aristide knew as much from the first moment he opened his eyes after his near-lethal encounter with the nameless Pride demon. The former First Enchanter and confirmed blood mage cultist had managed to escape with his life. For years it was impossible to confirm, but he has finally resurfaced. In the streets of Treviso, no less. Suspecting the man is out for revenge and might drag his family into it, Aristide temporarily leaves his Seeker/Inquisition duties to pursue the madman. Upon arrival, it would seem he has already begun gathering new disciples, though for what reason, Aristide cannot say. The Seeker himself will need to call upon old favors to try and see him brought to justice before more people fall under his charismatic spell. That is where you come in...
  • A Demon at Large: For years, Aristide had been actively looking for the Pride demon that had almost cost him his life. However, all avenues seemed to reach dead-ends and no satisfactory answers on whether or not it could have survived a young girl's sacrificial spell could be found. That is until a long string of disappearances were finally linked together with demon activity; all taking place near the old compound of Vadi where the fateful battle with the cultist took place. Maybe the demon had been pushed into a weakened state that barely allowed him to interact with the world? Though, now it was starting to gain power? The race is on to find answers as nothing this creature is planning could spell any good for anyone. Aristide will find allies in this quest, for the demon has claimed many victims and their relatives and loved ones may want revenge as much as the scarred Seeker...
  • (*) Retribution: [Cassandra Pentaghast] Lucius Corin betrayed more people than just Aristide. After his flight from the Seeker stronghold - narrowly avoiding capture by the crazed Lord Seeker - Aristide attempted to reach out to whatever allies he had left. Most either believed the stories spun by the Seekers that he was a traitor, or were already dead. The only one to answer him was Cassandra, though she was not in any position to offer him aid at the time. But, times change. Now a member of the Inquisition, when the chance presented itself to be part of an extensive operation to bring Lucius to justice, Aristide did not wait to volunteer for the task. It was just as personal for him as it was for Cassandra, for they had both lost friends, and he had also lost a mentor. He was holed up somewhere, the location difficult to pinpoint. But that would not stop them. They had worked together well in the past and with their strength combined there was not a single corner of the world that was safe for Lucius to hide in.
  • (*) The New Seekers of Truth: [Cassandra Pentaghast] Cassandra had made a decision. She would rebuild the Seekers, better and more pure than they had been before. But where could she start? Aristide could think of no-one better to lead the charge in bringing the Chantry back to its former glory, starting with the organization he had vowed his allegiance to. Expecting her to make that move, for he knew her better than she likely believed, he had already attempted to gather information on any other, potential, surviving Seekers. Whether correct or not, it seemed a few still survived in distant Seheron. Braving territory that was constantly wracked by a war between the local population, the Qunari and Imperium forces was no mean feat, but Aristide was convinced there were survivors there that had not received Lucius' call that turned out to be a trap. Cassandra would need new recruits, there was no way around that, but if they could get even a few veterans and inducted Seekers back into the fold, it would be a massive step in the right direction. They set off together, hopeful.
  • Kirkwall Restored: [Aveline Vallen] Guard Captain Aveline Vallen, a name that wasn't too well-known outside the walls of Kirkwall, despite the fact that her accomplishments, by all rights, should have given her fame at least throughout the Free Marches. Aristide knew of her though. Having met and spoken to the Champion of Kirkwall about the events that took place in the city, as well as gathering more information on Red Lyrium, Aveline's name and deeds had been dropped on more than a few occasions. As a result, her reputation preceded her, and when she reached out to the Inquisition for aid, she found only one man willing to extend it. Aristide made the trip to the city wracked by a civil war between several warring factions calling for the end to the regency and the re-establishing of proper rule. Many of her guards had already fallen in street fights and Aveline was becoming overwhelmed. One Seeker wasn't much, but it was something, and Aristide proclaimed he would do everything he can to restore order to the place that saw the beginning of the Mage Rebellion, and by extension, the end of the Seekers...
  • (*) The Inquisition's Reach: [Lace Harding] Border skirmishes between Antiva and Rivain had become common with the rising tensions between the two nations. It almost seemed as though all-out war was inevitable. It was only natural for this to grasp the Inquisition's attention and prompt them to send scouts out to try and set up forward bases, as well as keep an eye on the development first-hand. It was one thing to hear about the stories at court, it was another to hear them from the lips of farmers whose fields had been burned to ash. Among the scouts sent was Lace Harding, but she was accompanied by another face: the Antivan Seeker. Deciding his knowledge of the nation may prove invaluable, he was sent along with her in the hopes that it would facilitate her task. If only things had remained a simple scouting operation...
  • The Matter of Val Royaux: [Vivienne] With the civil war and Mage Rebellion at an end, the matter of the mage circles was now one that needed a solution. In a bid to represent the interest of mages across Thedas, as well as the Inquisition, the lady Vivienne proposed she take leave of her other duties and attend a long string of talks and discussions in Val Royaux between the new Divine, the Chantry, the mage circles and empress Celene. According to her, it was of the utmost importance that the status quo where the circles were concerned was preserved, though she was aware of the dangers her presence may bring with it. She was not allowed to go alone, for she would be too big a target for players of the Game to ignore. Her affiliation with the Inquisition was now well-known, and with the defeat of Corypheus, suddenly not everyone was begging the fledgling organization for help. Rather, jealousy reared its head. As such, she needed a helping hand. This came in the form of a certain Seeker, as well as a group of Inquisition troops that would see to her security at all times. That the talks would take place without a hint of trouble was a pipe dream, and everyone that left Skyhold for Orlais that day knew that.

There is one woman in the Shu camp that has caught his eye, however; the lady Yueying. Their rivalry picks up speed during the battle of Fan Castle, when they are technically on the same side, but competition still spikes between two normally very stoic individuals.
  • (*) The Lightning Lady: [Ginchiyo Tachibana] Ginchiyo Tachibana, her enemies know the name well. During the clashing of worlds as a result of Orochi's mad ambition, Zhou Tai found himself isolated, much like she did.
