Misunderstood

So hard to tell with all the secrets that I keep
Is it my heart or my head to busy to find sleep

So many things in this world to have concern for
Picking your battles seems to be the biggest war

Letting someone love you isn't as easy as some say
Life seems to have its own direction and it might not always be your way

I don't resist the struggle now I tend to embrace the pain
If I had it to do all over I would do it all again

I would cry those tears so hard let my heart smash on the floor
I would laugh until it seriously hurt then laugh a little more

A mothers love I've learned is medicine for any ache
For her child to be happy she will do what ever it will take

I'm often hurt and sad for the many ways I am misunderstood
There are many things I haven't done that I wish I could

I wish I never had the power to cause strife to those of whom I know
I wish I never had to watch my best friend go

I wonder when I cross over will I live out all my dreams
I could stitch up all the corners and mend those broken seams

Finding myself these days searching for the smile upon your face
So when we meet give me one it will not go to waste

Its all of you out there that brings my life such pleasure
To gage my love, my passion there simply is no measure

I once thought fear was stronger than love could ever be
Fear is just an instinct whereas love is the way of me

So I challenge you all to go and love yourself
Know that you can turn to me if you need a little help
