Porn Star Heroines - M&M3E - NC-Ex

This game will be run with Mutants and Masterminds 3E.

I am not extensively familiar with Mutants and Masterminds 3rd Edition, but I would like to try and run it*.  So if you are interested expect gaffes, missteps, rule confusion, and so on.  I will do my best, but I won’t be perfect.

*I also wouldn't be opposed to playing in a similar game, or any M&M3E game.

General Information

This will be a small game, I am thinking 2 characters, 3 at a maximum.  I am only looking for heroines, and they should fit an archetype that melds well with the plot I am looking to explore.  I will not be going first come first served, and don’t need a sheet to start.  If you are interested please read the thread  and post a brief summary of what sort of character you would like to play. 

The summary of the idea I have in mind is that a small group of heroines get involved in pornography, and it leads them down a path of corruption. 

I hope to be able to post at least once a week, and generally more than that (and prefer players can generally do the same), but my schedule is a bit up in the air at the moment so it may not always be possible.

Plot/Game Concept

The main plotline will focus on the characters  getting involved with a criminal, coercive, and generally unpleasant pornographic studio in their non-super identity.  I lean towards there being a minor mind-control angle, in the form of drugs or powers that push them slowly towards nymphomania, but am open to discussion on that.  The reason that the heroines get involved would vary depending on the specific characters, what comes to mind at the moment is that it is the only lead they have for an investigation they are doing, though blackmail, desperation, or something I haven't thought of are all options. 

The hope I have is to contrast their super-heroics with their new job.  So more traditional plots would still be going on, some intertwined with the porn plot, some separate.  This could go any number of ways, from the heroine failing in a mission because she was at a shoot, to a heroine allowing herself to be defeated because she enjoys it, to the heroine trying to act normal as she realizes the villain she is fighting is a former co-star.

Smut

This game will obviously be very smut-heavy, and will be rated non-consensual exotic.  I do, despite the semi-willing nature, want to take it into non-consensual territory at times, so players should be comfortable with that.  Otherwise I am open to discussion on just what is included.  In general however I see things such as bondage, multiple partners, public nudity, degrading names, light pain (BDSM style stuff), and so on all being included.  I am open to most things however, and wouldn’t be opposed to exploring a slavery, mind-control (of some form), or pregnancy angle.

Characters

I would prefer stuck-up, naive, sheltered, holier than thou, or similar personalities for the heroines.  At least at the start.  I am not really interested in characters who are already heavily sexually focused, since that somewhat defeats the path I want to explore.

The game will be PL10.  I would prefer characters are relatively simple, and would like them to have some form of Power Loss complication.

I'd say, it's not quite 3.5/Pathfinder level, to say nothing of monsters like Shadowrun, but power design and mechanics can get pretty out there, hence the GM asking not to overdo it.

Definitely a challenge to mix those two elements together. But here's a start:

Name: Skye
Position within the Pornographic Studio: Front Desk & Accounting.
Porn Star Name: Kitty Tips or Ana Lust
Personality: Skye is the type to dress down, looking plain & boring. She thought it would help protect her super identity. She also has never had a boyfriend - mostly because she was afraid they might find out. And partly because no ones really excited her sexually before. But since she's started working at the Company, she has found herself thinking more about the women there - and even some of the men. Not in any deep meaningful manner though. Well, except the trust in her boss. But Skye has been thinking about relationships and dating. She's even thinking about trying a nice dating website.


Story: Skye needed a job and the market was bad. Heroics wasn't paying - and then a friend called about a job. Sure- the company sounded awful- but the pay was good and the office was surprisingly clean. Even the studios out the back seemed quite above board (crime apparently does pay). The staff, the girls and even the men seemed mostly nice - there were one or two divas off in their own world of course. But it was TV. And there was the pay. $1200 a week just to handle the phones - with a discreetly rejected offer for twice that if she did photos. Maybe triple if she did camera work on the side... It all seemed too reasonable. As the boss explained - Sex Sells. So we pay well to keep everyone happy and sexy. They even gave her relaxed hours - allowing her to maintain her superheroine work...

And the company offered other benefits. Dental, medical - even therapy. The company asked Skye to undergo a medical & mental health checkup before she could start - making sure she wasn't unstable or a crazed fan & the like. Again, it was on their dime - and seemed so reasonable. The therapist asked Skye if she would consent to a little hypnosis - which Skye would of said no too. Being a hero, she couldn't risk it - but somehow, it all seemed so reasonable at the time. As the drugs in all the coffees she'd been brought settled into her system, everything seemed so nice and relaxed... So reasonable.

That's when the therapy began. Gently at first - promoting a trust and loyalty to the company. They offered further therapy - to help Skye kick her bad smoking habit. And it seemed so reasonable. Afterall, her boss & even the doctor was so trustworthy. After her first few appointments, the other changes would begin to settle in. A front desk clerk had to not only dress appropriately but also look appropriate to the company. And Skye was a good solid 8. But she dressed down, closer to a 6 or 7. With a little care and dieting, Skye could definitely be in the range of a 9- but she'd have to change that downplayed style to really show it.

So there was an insistence on maintaining a healthy, balanced diet. The cigarettes began to ease back as well. And there came a desire to really enjoy herself - her new cash easily covered the various beautician, hair stylist & body waxing. Her wardrobe started to open up, as she stepped into designer boutiques and even got offered the occasional piece from the work wardrobe department. Skye even started to polish up her makeup skills - taking tips from the professional girls and makeup artists about the firm. And then came the next step in the conditioning. Whenever Skye got dressed - or undressed - she was going perform. Skye was beautiful. Her body was a feature- full of assets to show off. Not flaws to cover up & 'dress down'. If she felt short, slip on some heels. If she felt fat, shake those hips and make em look! If she felt uncomfortable, a easy relaxing feeling would envelop her instead. And when she changed her clothes, Skye would do it like a performance - learning from the women at work. Taking pride in her beauty & really selling herself to her audience.

At the gym, Skye danced and shook, teasing the other girls as she exchanged her clothing in the locker. Her friends laughed - glad to see Skye finally being content with herself. And more than one began to notice the changes as Skye slowly reworked herself towards that almost impossible 10 figure. Somewhere along the way, Skye found herself picking up the free sample DVDs from work - taking them home so she could watch Betty Bounce & Jenna Joggs performing their erotic & exotic workout routines. And Skye found herself being curious - watching the videos past the workout and into the next scene - where teh class ends but Betty & Jenna turned on each other, enjoying erotic performances, working their bodies into a frenzy as they worshipped each other's skin... Stripping down to bare skin soaked in glistening sweat... Their lips meeting & tongues tripping over each other as their passions spiked...

Skye's odd new fascination seemed to end there. It was another couple of weeks before her therapy opened the door, allowing Skye to look into finishing the DVDs - exploring the last scenes where the class members return & join their teachers for threesomes & moresomes... Strangely, it left Skye thinking she might want to try a little work on the other side of the camera. It would be glamorous to be so adored and admired... And the photographers had all offered to do various shoots with her - maybe she could setup an online dating profile? She had more than enough time to manage work, superheroing & love now? Why Skye could even take a few racy pictures - getting almost naked. She might even let Jerry use her to practice his body painting techniques...

Ons & Offs - honestly my On's & Off's match yours almost perfectly. I do prefer women to men, but enjoy both genders. I don't do snuff, violence, blood & toilet play. But I'd be open to all the BDSM, Powerplay, Gangbangs, Size Difference, Mental Challenges, Bimbifying, A little pain & all that is more than welcome. A big element for me would be if the people she trusts were ever disappointed in her - that they decided she needed to be punished and humiliated. Now this could be being tied up, played with and ignored... Left overnight perhaps.. But I love concepts like wearing bondage gear or vibrators under your clothing and just going about your day normally - wondering if someone will notice or when the cursed thing with begin to vibrate again... Or even to be demoted... downgraded to a pet and made to heel whilst her mistress/master does as they wish to others. Leaving her to play puppy games or beg for attention. To be feel oh so rewarded when they attach that leash and take you for a walk... Or leave you with the company of another animal to provide relief. I also enjoy playing up the naiveity of a character - she might help 'wash' a performer to their satifation -or lose a bet & find out she has to bathe someone with her  tongue... To be tricked into wearing costumes (the front desk maid or bunny?) - or even playing out the costumé's role... I love sexy games & ropeplay... I like intricate details - and most of all, I love tall women & redheads. But the others are nice too.

I like gentle body changes and reasonable body proportions. So big tits are fine but lets shy off H cups & 1 hand width corsets. I love heels & playing with height...

As for the superhero side, I'd have to reread M&M 3e. I know the other edition but haven't read either in ages... So I can't remember which powers they offer. But I'd love at playing with water (turning into water or ice? Controlling it?) or becoming an animal maybe? I'm not sure how the powers go but I'll read up on it.

Hmm, while I don't yet have a concept of what sort of super powers a character I'd make would have (want to look more at what the system provides for first), my background concept, in short summary is that she's a college student at an elite private university, on full scholarship.  Except superheroing had taken a toll on her grades, and she lost her scholarship.  Entering the porn industry would be her desperation to cover her expenses without her parents finding out, and thus the downward spiral begins....

I'd probably go for a flying brick type, independent hero (cough-vigilante-cough) and looking to settle some collateral damage issues quietly lest she attacts undue attention from the law. Well, if it fits the premise, at least - it's too soon to decide on any character details at this point.

On that note, I'm curious what level of secret identities is customary among the setting's heroes, on the scale from none to full separation with max secrecy and paranoia. And also whether we and/or the studio are supposed to know about us all being heroes or whether it starts as a purely civillian side thing and only spills over later.

Still room?  I had an idea of a heroine, a mystic type who went undercover at the a porn company in her secret ID, got deeper than she planned and then got outed at her “real” job (A library?) and fired for doing porn, so she’s stuck with this job for now.  Plus, she was repressed and didn’t get much or any sex due to alll the time spent studying magic and fighting crime.  She was also too busy to explore her sexual side at all before this. 

The mystic girl might study spell books to keep her powers up originally D&D style, the white magic method, but as the porn job takes up more and more time, she learns to charge up her power from sex since she can't study... taking the black magic path.  Her powers might also involve some oaths... Not being able to use magic to go back on a promise, and she signed a contract to work there...

I can see the heroines having to grab clothes from the studio in an emergency, both kinky costumes to do heroing in and secret ID clothes that are rather revealing... or normal looking but breakaway outfits that would tear in public.

What's the setting like?

It will be a balancing act.

I lean towards the default setting (probably Freedom City as that is the book I have), twisted to fit the adult nature of the game and towards our world a bit.  That said, I need to brush up on the default setting a bit more.  So probably more 'inspired by' than 'set in.'

I have found it a bit dense, if somewhat because of the flexibility needed to cover different powers, but that honestly may be just me.

Secret identities would be a mix, from 'no one knows' to 'everyone knows.'  That said, while I am not opposed to a character being publicly known, it would make it harder for them to get involved in things.  The studio would not know in advance, that would only come out later (if at all).

Yes, wasn’t thinking of starting that far along, just musing on a possible arc.  A related one was some having a mystic artifact that is sensitive to sexual energy, something succubus-themed.  She was pretty repressed and busy with just crime fighting so it didn’t effect her much, but with the new job, it’s getting stronger, helpting to promote more interest in sex and porn, even if she just started on the computers or wardrobe.

Yay! Well, here's my character concept submission in this case. Hope you like it:

Name: Haley
Super Hero Name: Lady Mercy
Porn Star Name: Leyah Chains

Story: Haley had always felt out of sync with the world around her, whatever she did feeling like being either too late or too early. Timing has never been her strong suit and interacting with other people had always been a real effort as well. Growing up alone and moving from one foster family to another, changing classes and schools almost yearly, had meant that she had never really developed any meaningful and lasting relationships.

Her powers had began rapidly one day, and after the initial shock she decided that she should not share what was happening with her to anyone. A few years later as she learned to control her powers, she began to spend her nights sneaking out and moving through the city finding people to help out with her powers, slowly gathering a modest local fame as Lady Mercy.

However, spending her nights out finding crime had translated into fatigue during the day and a steady decline of her overall school performance. Not to mention the tiredness she felt during the day left her with a decreased attention span and a habit of falling asleep or simply spacing out most of the time.

This has led to increasing problems with her teachers and foster parents. In time these problems escalated until one day she decided to pack up and run away, wanting to dedicate herself to her secret life as a super heroine. However, she still needed to eat and a place to sleep. Having no friends to speak of, meant that she needed to find a job.

And luckily for her, or unluckily, depending on how you look at it, she found one place that would hire a high school drop out like her, a decent looking porn company in search for young talent.

Powers: I was thinking of making a dedicated healing hero, with maybe some offensive powers. Effects that are right now making my eyes sparkle are Healing, Regeneration, Elongation, Flying, Concealment.

Flaws: Since you said you want some form of Power Loss complication, I was thinking Tiring and Concentration would work really well and easy to use to make her loose her powers temporarily.

  I love this idea. I just don't know much about M&M. I was thinking about playing an angel. I'm not sure there are angels there. She could either be an entity from a parallel dimension that feels and acts as an angel. She would be pure and innocent that was sent to the world to protect humans and do good. She could know not much about things in Earth and have a black and white view of the world. That way she would be fully innocent, holly and naive as the story begins.

Her powers could be flying, as she has feathered wings that she can hide when not using. Healing Powers. She could have high agility and combat abilities to fight evil. She may also have a human form with no powers at all.

I can make changes in this idea if it does not fit at the story.
