Does anyone, especially anyone in IT, know anything about an outfit calling itself Rivermark Solutions LLC?  I'm afraid my dad got scammed- they called him offering 'computer security services', which rings all sorts of bells; but whether it's just 'ha-ha- we just billed you 300 bucks to install soft you already had' or something more pervasive, I don't know. I'm bugspraying his comp to the best of my ability ATM.

They were incorporated in Vancouver WA in Feb of this year, have mailing addresses in Vegas and Florida (!), and nobody, in a general search, seems to know squat about them. They've made no indications as to what their core business is.

If anyone has any deeper data, I'd appreciate it.

Common google search came up with what you mentioned address-wise... put in 'phone calls' by search and many other sites popped up.

The top one being this site:

*nods* Had seen that. That's a scam warning issued by a Credit Union of the same name, not a warning against the outfit itself.

Neither the outfit (Rivermark Solutions) nor the woman whose name is on the corporate registration as Agent seem to have any web trace at all.

Rivermark Credit Union, OTOH, has a pretty broad trace and seems legit. It's also registered in Oregon, not Washington.

Thanks, though :D
